The Bell Fetcham in Mole Valley

Paul and the team at the Bell were fantastic! Super accommodating and friendly team. We booked a baby shower and it was confirmed in minutes with the team we organised food that would be served and they set up a perfect area for us in the corner of the pub. We had originally tried to book at the Bear in oxshott who were making it an extreme task and were only allowing a two hour time slot along with a reservation fee! We are glad we then turned to The Bell who made it all super simple and a special day for us to remember without any hassle to organise. Lovely food and drinks and great service. Thanks everyone at the Bell!

Great food and Imogen was very friendly

The restaurant was empty. We asked as it was quiet if we could have a bigger table. Answer-no. In the time we were there the tables were not taken. Pork dish was terrible. Very fatty., we did put that across to the staff. No offer of discount. The table next to us were also complaining. The server was so unhelpful.

Had a lovely celebration Sunday lunch. I had chicken liver parfait with sourdough bread to start and roast loin of pork for main. The food was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We weren't rushed it was perfect.

It has a very nice Spanish manager. The portions are not very large but it is a very rich and tasty meal. We will return without a doubt!

Food pricey for small portion but well executed. Staff were all very good, but the mostly over 40 so should know better clientele were all engaged in a "who can shout the loudest" competition, all thinking they were hilarious but they really weren't. This despite it not being very late (7pm - 9.30pm) during my Friday visit, meaning it was not a pleasant environment at all. I have eaten there for lunch when music was on (jazz, unfortunately) & it was much nicer.

The Bell was the perfect venue for my husbands wake. The whole process was dealt with great care by the entire team, the staff on the day were attentive and the food was excellent.

What an amazing evening, we ordered fish and chips which turned out to be delicious and abundant; the steak was cooked to perfection and the cobb salad with the poached egg was to die for. Although we were full (great portions too!) we make some room for pudding, The panacotta was a great surprise and the most traditional sticky toffee pudding didn’t follow too far , gorgeous! Great wine and beers selection plus the service were attentive and fast. We definitely will come back to try more from that lovely food.

Went to this local pub which we use occasionally for a drink and/or bar food. As it was a special occasion ( Partner's Birthday), we both opted for The Sunday Roast. We both thought it was excellent. Beautifully presented by Imogen. Good portions and temperature, delicious. The piece de resistance however was the pork crackling. Crisp & salty, it was probably the best i have ever tasted! With my Birthday next month, guess where I'm hoping to go?

Another fabulous meal at The Bell. Super friendly, and exceptional staff to top off absolutely delicious food and great cocktails Can’t fault anything.

It pains me to write this as this is our local, and in the past the food has always been top notch, even if it’s a little on the pricey side but never had an experience as bad as this. Came here yesterday early evening as having been travelling back to the UK wanted something light before heading off to get some well earned sleep. 2 (out of the 4 of us) ordered wings to share, and then the rest of the order was the salad main and 3 portions of fish and chips plus also a mac & cheese side. Portion of wings comes out, as does the salad which is on the small side so asked is this meant to be my main to which she replied it is the starter. Ok it hadn’t been ordered as a starter but whatever, I’ll stick with it. Grab first forkful of food to find a dark hair hanging down (I’m blonde so def not mine) so take the plate up to the bar to be like can you just take this away. They ask if I want it remade, so was like well was meant to be main so can you do one as the main dish which was fine. Starters cleared away, and the fish & chip mains and mac & cheese side comes out. After about 5 ish mins back to the bar, still missing the main salad dish. The young female behind the bar brings it straight out and the poached egg which is on top is cold and barely cooked through. By this point, I’ve had enough and just hand it back to the man behind the bar (the one with the tattoos) and I’m like the eggs cold, not edible and quite frankly I had lost my appetite by this point as it was like it’s a salad, why is this so damn hard to get right when you’ve had 2 chances to get it right and got it wrong on both occasions

Lovely day, sat in the garden, delicious sandwiches with chips for 3. of us and the best fish and chips I have ever had at a pub for me, beautiful batter, chunky fish beatifully cooked, wonderful chips and delicious mushy peas. To be repeated. This. was followed by a delightful pana cotta. We shall be returning very soon. Dog friendly, she sat with us throughout the meal.

Todd served us this evening and he was incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was piping hot and a decent amount as well.

Lovely service with a smile. I asked for cushions because I have arthritis and they got them immediately. The food was absolutely gorgeous. Tasty well presented and lots of it. I had the roast beef. It was so scrumptious and so tasty that I full up and unable to eat my dinner that evening. Five stars also for location. Beautiful leafy Surrey

Lovely lunch with friends. Food was very good with a good selection on the menu. My friend requested to upgrade a starter to a main course and this was no problem. The server was excellent - very polite and helpful. Would definitely go again.

Visited on a warm Saturday evening with another couple. Unfortunately our order arrived incorrect but rectified quickly without fuss and kindly and complimentary drink, fish and chips was enormous and very good indeed! We also had the trout which was excellent, and the Burger which was ok. Desserts wise, recommend the sticky toffee pudding but sorry Theo's Tiramisu wasn't the one. (Sorry Theo!) Outside space, pretty twinkly lights and looks very inviting. Will definitely go back again, lovely pub. Keen to try the Sunday roast. Thanks team

Stopped in for a quick drink, but ended up staying for the evening and eating due to the fantastic service from Mikey and the team and the lovely atmosphere. Food was lovely, the cheese crochets were divine. Thoroughly recommend a visit here

I was a bit disappointed with the Veggie Roast .. at £18 /plate , it promised to be served with "all the trimmings" a celeriac puree, home made Yorkshire puddings, maple glazed carrots and gravy. There was no gravy , no Yorkshire pudding , no celeriac , and only one carrot. ..I think maybe they weren't served as not vegan, but the value for money then was pretty poor. 3 burnt potatoes , some pea filled puff pastry, and a carrot for £18? It tasted nice enough .. it was just a bit sad. I would have complained if anybody stopped by to ask, but nobody did. I think if you opt to dine outside then you opt to be be ignored.

The assistant manager appears to be confrontational and wanting a fight. Please avoid this pub if you wish to have a quiet drink

We visited over the weekend and reserved a table in their Lodge set up outside, a nice space with a few tables under cover, always useful in case it rains. Luckliy weather was lovely, and it was a really chilled space for our group to hang out in for the afternoon. Most of us took ordered the Sunday roasts, the kids dipped into the kids menu, and the food was very tasty. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Pub is located in Fetcham just outside Leatherhead and there was an opportunity to go for a nice wander around the village after lunch.

The steak was nice but the hash browns it came with left a lot to be desired, in truth I didn't eat them it would have been better served with potatoes or chips.

The bell is the best, the staff are the friendliest around, the food is great and just generally a nice, atmospheric pub to go to. Would highly recommend visiting.

What a lovely pub! The food is absolutely incredible and the staff are so lovely, Imogen was our server, she was so helpful and paid huge attention to detail to see to it that we had a great time. The atmosphere is so welcoming, I highly recommend.

Awful really. £20 for a cold chicken shop burger that tasted like it had been fried in fish batter and "loaded" fries. Didn't even come on a plate. It came in a box. I would have paid £4.50 for that in a chicken shop, it would have been hot and it would have come with some salad and a drink..... They would have asked what sauces I want rather than smothering the fries in ketchup and mayo.....and it wouldn't have taken 35 mins. Poor all round. Will avoid in future.

Absolutely Fantastic visit. Food was excellent and was the service. I went to celebrate Father’s Day and they gave me a very generous goody bag which made a great visit even better. We be back again very soon!

Had an absolutely fabulous meal here last week with my aunt for her birthday. Started off with the ‘nibbles’ of cheese balls with apple sauce which were delicious, and home made taramasalata which was equally delicious. I then had the grilled trout fillet which was beautifully cooked and my aunt had the chicken breast - again beautifully cooked and very tasty. Unfortunately we felt too full to try any pudding but will definitely be back soon to try! I was so impressed with the meal I asked to speak to the chef so I could extend my thanks for such a lovely evening. All staff were so friendly and attentive.

Nice food esp Sunday roast, service attentive and pleasant. Such a shame that bench below window and fabric chairs are very stained, worn and ripped. Interior not well looked after and very old or poor quality.

The food was fantastic! Really tasty! The guy behind the bar was really nice and helpful. Great service (although could have checked more if we needed anymore drinks). Still good though, would happily go back!

The landlord is very touchy about parking, it makes the place feel unfriendly me and my friends decided to eat somewhere else.

Amazing roasts, super family friendly (we had 2 toddlers with us) and great service.

We were able to book a table on the day, for later on that day. We booked for 6pm, it was fairly quiet in the dining area (which was lovely for us), the garden was busier as the weather was nice. The staff were super friendly, polite & attentive. The food was absolutely delicious & very well enjoyed. We liked that there is a selection of board games whilst having drinks/waiting for food. I really liked that our server spoke directly to my son when asking him what he would like to eat, instead of asking us what he would like. Little things like that go a long way. A very wholesome evening for us, thank you!

I had my 50th birthday celebrations; we had a private area which was brilliant!! All of my friends and family had a great evening… Food was excellent along with the service!!

Went for Mother’s Day with a large group - half adults, half kids. Warm atmosphere, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and so accommodating with the children. We were so comfortable and looked after it turned into a 4 hour lunch - it’s our new favourite pub and we’ll be back! There was also a little handmade gift for the mothers at our table which was such a gorgeous little touch. Thank you!

Nice place, excellent staff and OK food.

Travelled over an hour each to meet friends at midway point. This was the 4th visit for us as has always been the perfect meeting place...our phone rang 10 mins from pub...but no one spoke. Went inside to book in and was flatly told the kitchen had no gas and only cold starters and sandwiches available. Before anyone says these things happen...we know and understand, but it is how it is dealt with. The staff member didn't seem overly bothered...made no attempt to suggest alternatives until asked even though he knew the table was booked for 4. Suggested sister pub...we asked if it had car park as in the centre of Leatherhead...the answer was "yes" but It DOES NOT...cannot rate food or atmosphere but service...I will leave my thoughts to the imagination. What a difference a visit makes.

We had a group of 9 people for lunch, we were given a lovely table and we all commented on how nice the pub was. The waitress was very helpful, polite and welcoming. The staff all did a great job. The food was very good and we all enjoyed it.

Absolutely lovely food ,great staff and roast dinners are amazing ,roast beef cooked to perfection.

Seven of us went there after walking in the nearby Norbury Park, which is 6 mins away by car. We booked the pub the day before as it attracts some decent reviews. As it was a Sunday the pub serves he Sunday menu only. The dining area has a welcoming decor. We were given a long table of 10 seats so plenty of space for us. The waiting staff were very friendly. They also brought hot water for one of us. All dishes were of good size. I had fish and chip. The fish was massive. The taste of the fish was just above average. The skins were easiy detached from the fish. The mushy peas are bit dry - I would have chosen garden peas but I was not given the option. My wife had the beef from the Sunday roast menu. She liked the trimings but found the rump of beef a bit dull. She cut a small piece for me. I would say that was below my expectation. One of the my friends had the Bell burger. It looks very taste. However he found the patty a bit too burned from the flame. We spent £24 per person, covering a drink, a main and service charge.

What amazing hospitality. When we found ourselves and 2 little ones with no where to go on Christmas Day as mum went into labour and was having a home birth, this wonderful crew could not have been more helpful. The pub was closed but they still accommodated us until we could go home. They even prepared Christmas lunch for our son and his wife to take home. We had our Christmas lunch there as arranged and it was excellent. Nothing was a problem. We could not recommend The Bell more highly. Oh we have a new granddaughter! - thanks guys

We ate here on NYE and it was festive and had a buzz about it. Food was great and the waiting staff were efficient and friendly.

The fish and chips were delicious! Kids portions were very generous, we ordered 2 servings for the 3 kids and this was more than enough for them all. Great service as always.

Great atmosphere, beautiful place. Unfortunately the food is overpriced, got burgers, fries were great but the patty was not enjoyable. Never ever seen such small servings of dessert. Ordered bakewell tart and a brownie and my husband and I could not believe our eyes, there was one bite worth of dessert on the plate, definitely a ridiculous amount and not worth the price.

Really nice place and the food is amazing. The portion size was great..The only thing preventing this from being a five star is a slight lack of some old fashioned favourite starters. Consider putting a garlic bread on the menus and some other pub food favourites. Thanks for a great meal and amazing value
