I had my 50th birthday celebrations; we had a private area which was brilliant!! All of my friends and family had a great evening… Food was excellent along with the service!!

Went for Mother’s Day with a large group - half adults, half kids. Warm atmosphere, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and so accommodating with the children. We were so comfortable and looked after it turned into a 4 hour lunch - it’s our new favourite pub and we’ll be back! There was also a little handmade gift for the mothers at our table which was such a gorgeous little touch. Thank you!

Nice place, excellent staff and OK food.

Travelled over an hour each to meet friends at midway point. This was the 4th visit for us as has always been the perfect meeting place...our phone rang 10 mins from pub...but no one spoke. Went inside to book in and was flatly told the kitchen had no gas and only cold starters and sandwiches available. Before anyone says these things happen...we know and understand, but it is how it is dealt with. The staff member didn't seem overly bothered...made no attempt to suggest alternatives until asked even though he knew the table was booked for 4. Suggested sister pub...we asked if it had car park as in the centre of Leatherhead...the answer was "yes" but It DOES NOT...cannot rate food or atmosphere but service...I will leave my thoughts to the imagination. What a difference a visit makes.

We had a group of 9 people for lunch, we were given a lovely table and we all commented on how nice the pub was. The waitress was very helpful, polite and welcoming. The staff all did a great job. The food was very good and we all enjoyed it.

Absolutely lovely food ,great staff and roast dinners are amazing ,roast beef cooked to perfection.

Seven of us went there after walking in the nearby Norbury Park, which is 6 mins away by car. We booked the pub the day before as it attracts some decent reviews. As it was a Sunday the pub serves he Sunday menu only. The dining area has a welcoming decor. We were given a long table of 10 seats so plenty of space for us. The waiting staff were very friendly. They also brought hot water for one of us. All dishes were of good size. I had fish and chip. The fish was massive. The taste of the fish was just above average. The skins were easiy detached from the fish. The mushy peas are bit dry - I would have chosen garden peas but I was not given the option. My wife had the beef from the Sunday roast menu. She liked the trimings but found the rump of beef a bit dull. She cut a small piece for me. I would say that was below my expectation. One of the my friends had the Bell burger. It looks very taste. However he found the patty a bit too burned from the flame. We spent £24 per person, covering a drink, a main and service charge.

What amazing hospitality. When we found ourselves and 2 little ones with no where to go on Christmas Day as mum went into labour and was having a home birth, this wonderful crew could not have been more helpful. The pub was closed but they still accommodated us until we could go home. They even prepared Christmas lunch for our son and his wife to take home. We had our Christmas lunch there as arranged and it was excellent. Nothing was a problem. We could not recommend The Bell more highly. Oh we have a new granddaughter! - thanks guys

We ate here on NYE and it was festive and had a buzz about it. Food was great and the waiting staff were efficient and friendly.

The fish and chips were delicious! Kids portions were very generous, we ordered 2 servings for the 3 kids and this was more than enough for them all. Great service as always.

Really nice place and the food is amazing. The portion size was great..The only thing preventing this from being a five star is a slight lack of some old fashioned favourite starters. Great atmosphere, beautiful place. Unfortunately the food is overpriced, got burgers, fries were great but the patty was not enjoyable. Never ever seen such small servings of dessert. Ordered bakewell tart and a brownie and my husband and I could not believe our eyes, there was one bite worth of dessert on the plate, definitely a ridiculous amount and not worth the price.

Very interesting and different food. Dishes which you will not find at comparable pubs. Not always successful but full marks for trying. Excellent service. Good value for money

Nice pub, service was OK a bit slow, but it was busy. Food was average in taste and quality but very expensive. It's a local place and not much in the way of alternatives, so have to make the most of it.

Went to The Bell for Saturday lunch. Catered well for four adults and three children under four plus a dog. Food was great and there were options for children and adults. Great, friendly service. Will definitely go back. Had the usual selection of lagers plus a local brewery which was very good.

I think the mark of a good company is how well they look after you when things don't go to plan. Paul and his Kiki couldn't have been kinder in helping rectify a difficult situation. Friendly, professional and of course, the food was delicious! Thank you.

Fabulous Bell burger and fries. We both had this and agreed it was the best burger we had eaten in a long time. Very tasty with lovely crispy fries. The only downside was the slightly slow and erratic service. Fortunately we had plenty of time so it didn't affect us that much.

A friend and I visited for Saturday lunch and we were met with a warm welcome. The food was lovely and plenty of it. My dog was very happy as there was plenty of space and the staff made a fuss of her. We will return.

Booked a spot to watch the rugby and eat, had great service with good selection of very tasty food, never been to this venue before but found it to be a large, comfortable stylish venue! If only you could have changed the rugby score it would have been a perfect night!

Had a fabulous Sunday lunch at The Bell today. Planning to move to the area and was tentatively trying out what will hopefully be my new local. I couldn't be happier. Went with my daughters and one of them said it was the best pub roast she'd ever had. We like our beef rare and it was done to perfection. My other daughter had the vegan option and said it was delicious. The service was perfect too. All staff without exception were accommodating, warm and friendly and even the dog was made to feel welcome. Keeping everything crossed more than ever that my move comes off!

Had a great lunch for 4 of us. Service was excellent, the beer and wines were also very good. Sat in the sun, in the very comfortable front garden area. Definitely recommend.

Popped in for an early Sunday lunch (12pm). Pub looked very smart and team very welcoming. Table was set with plenty of space for 2 adults and five hungry kids. We had a roast West Country beef and Dingley dell pork belly. Both were very nice served with great selection of veg and lovely hot gravy! … little ones all had burgers which they all demolished! Puddings were great as well, we had brownies and profiteroles. All in all a fab visit! Thanks team Bell!

We were a large group with a pre ordered menu. Timing was excellent with children's food arriving first. All the mains were OK but a bit of inconsistency in the pork belly - some with a crackling top but others just with soggy skin and a bit undercooked meat. The staff were superb, friendly and efficient.

We had a delicious Sunday roast with friends. Amazing food and service with a huge selection of drinks and also great non alcoholic range too. We will definitely return. The pub itself is very welcoming and comfortable also..

Lovely dinner here Thursday evening. Family here who live overseas now so super British pub food and drink options to cater for all tastes. Cameron and Gabi looked after us and were very patient with our decision making while we sidetracked with our chat. The 7 of us all chose different things but all the food was very tasty and beautifully served. Thanks to the Bell team for making our evening.

A lovely spacious pub with good food and friendly staff. We were looked after brilliantly by Cameron, Paul and again. The decor of the pub is impressive. The roasts were fantastic. Highly recommended.

Food was lovely chicken ham pie homemade, puddings homemade nicely presented staff great . Even an Irish coffee with no Irish lol thank you we will be back .

Visiting relatives nearby had a few meals here and never disappointed. This one was up to the very high standards we've had before. Special thanks to Enrique who looked after us very professionally and attentively. I had the chicken / leek / ham pie which I recalled from some time back was equally as perfect as it was then. My wife had the Bell Burger which was cooked to perfection and very pleasing. we finished off with Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream which was first rate also. Very nice restaurant area away from the lively bar area a great atmosphere for a lovely evening. Nice selection of cask ale and good value for money

The food was excellent!!! Varied menu. Brilliant environment. Fresh roses on the tables. Staff very pleasant and good service. We had our wedding anniversary lunch there and my husband and I agree it was the best meal out this year! :) Absolutely perfect chips and steak was good too. Such a delicious chicken pate with toast! Booked for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was busy - some sort of engagement celebration went through the afternoon and into the evening. Which is probably why the starter and main menu was missing some of the popular items. That said, the staff were great and the food we did get to order was excellent. The ambience here is always nice and the superb service made it a great family meal out. Highly recommended.

Twelve of us had Saturday lunch at The Bell following a visit to the churchyard in remembrance of a relative. We were seated between two tables in the bar area in order to accommodate our four legged friend who also attended. Our meals were all very expertly brought to the tables at the same time and the food was excellent. Best fish and chips in a long time, excellent burger and delicious Caesar salad with chicken were just a few of the dishes enjoyed. The chocolate brownie was highly rated and accompanying ice cream (honeycomb) was extremely enjoyable, and a welcome change to the usual vanilla. Service was excellent, provided by both Cameron & Sam. Minor query regarding missing cabbage from a couple of meals was promptly and politely attended to. Excellent value for money, would not hesitate in going again and would definitely recommend to others.

I organised an event for a society of which I am a member. The end of our event was lunch at The Bell. In advance The Bell was very helpful in responding to my telephone calls and emails. We placed advance orders based on the menus sent to us. The arrangements all worked perfectly and we received a warm welcome - all our members (attendance 21) enjoyed the food, drink and service.

My husband and I went for a casual early dinner on a weekday with our two grandchildren. The service was impeccable and nothing was too much trouble. Cameron and Gabi were so helpful and extremely pleasant to deal with. The chef made me something that was not on the menu and the food was, as always, delicious. This pub is very popular for the food but also because it has a great atmosphere and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

First time eating at the Bell and the food was the right mix of average yet overpriced with a Yorkshire pud that took 'crispyness' to another level that no Yorkshire should go. The drinks selection is good and staff were friendly, but you can definitely get more for less in the general area. The Bell has great space inside and out and would probably pop back for a couple of beers in the garden. The venue is family friendly and parking is available on site but I am guessing that fills up pretty quickly given the number of spaces versus the venue size.

We came for lunch and sat in the restaurant which is extremely welcoming and cosy. I had fish and chips and my friend had a fish finger sandwich. Both dishes were truly excellent well presented and tasty and the fish and chips were cooked to perfection and the best I have eaten in a long time. The meal was so good that we complemented James the chef on his perfect cooking!! We will certainly visit again and many thanks to the bell and staff for making our lunch so enjoyable. You certainly are the best pub restaurant in our area.

Paul and his brilliant team catered for us on our wedding day. The food was spot on, every little detail was thought out and the service was amazing. Dogs are very welcome too ☺️ We highly recommend this pub.

I was extremely dissatisfied with our visit today, the sun was shining and they do have a lovely pub, problem is the amount of staff they have and the quality of the food, £15 for a rocket salad, I had lamb sausage that was mildly warm and not much flavour, this could be a really good pub but needs to improve an awful lot.

What a wonderful afternoon meal for the fourteen of us who went to The Bell after our daughter’s wedding. The did everything to our specifications we provided. They did us so proud with lovely cooked food, close attention to what we might need and beautifully laid table. It will be a day for us all to remember with pleasure and joy. Brilliant and highly recommended. Thank you so much for making it such a memorable day.

We had a wake for my father in law here yesterday. Chloe looked after us. The food was excellent and plentiful and hot even though we arrived late. We had a lovely area reserved both inside and outside with heaters if it got chilly, giving us the privacy we needed but still with the atmosphere of the pub. I can't fault anything because Chloe looked after us so well. So thank you from us all. I would highly recommend The Bell for anyone looking for a large gathering with a buffet menu.

Brought my baby in for a pub lunch but it seems like the staff are happy to take it easy and just attend to the easier customers, old men drinking, outdoors. Not the family friendly vibe I was expecting, and the pub was dead at the time I came. Fish and chips for £17 has a lot to be desired. Even the extra salt on the fish added by the chef couldn't save it. Very bland.

Underwhelmed and disappointing. Expensive grisley burgers, served on cold plates. The Bell used to be a good pub and never cheap, but of a higher standard than it is now. Maybe it's the new management but no one seemed to care other than pulling a pint.

Great food and excellent service

We’ve always been supporters of The Bell as it’s our local but the last few times we have been it’s been awful. The barman made numerous errors with our order, then we waited an age for both food & more drinks. The burgers from the burger shack were on tiny cold side plates, with no garnish- not one salad leaf in sight. The burgers were very overcooked and grisly and cold. We had to constantly ask for service and updates on our order. We really want to continue supporting The Bell but each time we go we question whether we’ll go back again 🥲

We have been doing the rounds of the Surrey pubs and I think The Bell does the best fish and chips! Lovely fish with crispy batter (not too thick), lovely crispy fat chips!! Great service!

We went to the Bell yesterday 11/4/23 pm for a friends wake. Everything was as we expected having been there for a birthday party in summer of 2022. The snack food was very good and a nice variety and the hot drinks were always there...

Service was incredibly slow and inattentive. The food was far below average we sent back 3 of the adult mains. Fish and chips all batter no fish. We had to ask the team for everything nobody came over to look after us we had to ask them to clear our table, ask for the desert menu. Ask for the kids desserts. You need to do better when people are spending £50 an adult.

I hired out a private space in The Bell on Saturday for my son's 1st Holy Communion. The space was excellent (held ~30 people), it also looked great - modern, in great condition, etc and the food was absolutely delicious. Very good quality pub food, and the team were all so helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

I am 19 years old, the manager was rude. The bar served me with my ID yet he came over to all of my friends ( not all of us were drinking) and starts being passive agressive. Drinks are overpriced. Manager rude and awful customer...

It's expensive and very loud otherwise OK...

Really like this place. It has a spacious interior which is nicely furnished and feels very hospitable and relaxing everywhere: unlike some pubs whose extended restaurant area can feel a little less characterful than the main pub. Food was great, massive portions of nicely done Sunday lunch, lovely vegetables, and a really super crumble dessert. A nice friendly team buzzing about.. I have been before and we will for sure be back.

I don't like wrting negative reviews, but I'm afraid our visit to The Bell was disappointing. We had been there for over an hour before our food arrived, having had to collar a member of staff as we had been sitting there for about fifteen minutes and nobody had offered to take our order. Four of us ordered pork belly, but the portions when they arrived were very small. There was an impressive range of vegetables as per the long list on the menu, but a tiny amount of each. We didn't order a desert as it was now getting so late so left still quite hungry. We asked for the bill which arrived with a 12.5% 'discretionary service charge' added. At the bottom of the bill was a section about 'Gratuities are at your discretion'. So were we being asked to add a 'gratuity' on top of a 'discretionary service charge'? The implication was clear that we were. When we each paid, the final amount we offered was increased, by the waiter, without our consent, to match the total including the discretionary service charge. The difference was only 75p, but it makes you question what is the meaning of discretionary. All in all, really quite disappointing and maybe that is why the place was half empty on a Sunday lunchtime. It's a pity as it's in a gorgous part of the world and they have so much space.

The roast is very average and over priced, we only got two small roast potatoes each! the beef dish is now priced at £22 this really isn’t worth the extra money over the other meats, it was all very just average but not at average...
