So delighted this is a thriving business. Location fabulous, view’s perfect. Staff friendly and attentive. I had humus for starter, disappointed, it was tasteless, no hint of lemon or garlic. My husband had Calamari again tasteless. I had fish and chips, batter dark brown (I prefer golden) I feel overcooked and fish again tasteless. Chips and mushy peas good. Steak on menu £30, I feel overpriced. Such a shame about the food

The staff here make the place what it is, genuinely happy to see you! A big thank you to Ryan for his hours of service! The Bay sits on a lovely cost line and offers locally sourced food. They even have a delightful ice cream van on site. A must visit destination if you are visiting the area

Lovely setting by the bay. The staff are friendly and helpful, however food was disappointing. My partner had a feta and beetroot salad which was pleasant but not fantastic, and I had a vegan chicken burger that was very dry, and the bun was on the hard side too…chips weren’t better than chunky frozen type, based on this , we didn't feel it was ‘value’ for money really.

Lovely location for a holiday dinner, with beautiful views of the bay. The wait staff were all so friendly and attentive, they really made the evening for us. Food was really good too, we had scallops which were delish, then lemon sole and my partner had cornish sole (megrim). His was better but that's probably me picking wrong, the lemon sole itself was really nice! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Perfect location for seaside lunch and watch.the boats go by So finally the sun came out and we were lucky enough to sit out on the terrace to enjoy a spot of lunch Fresh thick cut granary bread sandwich filled to bursting with side of crisps and salad. Service was very friendly even giving the dogs a treat .5* all round So good we came back another day

Found this by accident on a dreary afternoon in March! Lovey place, really nice staff and excellent food. Plenty of choice from just sandwiches to cooked food etc. we went in for a drink and ended up having lunch which was very good.

It was a quiet early lunchtime. The staff were super efficient and very friendly. Made a huge fuss of our old dog which he loved. Had a starter of whitebait to share. It was plenty for 2. Fresh and tasty. I followed that with skate wing and my partner lemon sole. Both excellent. (market fish of the day so perhaps not always available) very generous portions. Lots of other options available. We were too full for dessert so finished with a couple of espressos. For the excellent quality of the food it is great value, nice spot right on the bay side. Welcoming , with a good atmosphere. Most definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Popped here in hope of a couple drinks last night (a Friday at only 9pm!) And as we were only half way through our first round we got asked by the bar staff if we were planning to order more drinks because they wanted to 'cash up and go home'. This instantly put us off and made us feel unwelcome. We would of been quite happy to spend a fair amount of money (considering the first round was £25!) but this made us want to leave straight away. Will not be returning!

We booked as a group of six (4 adults and 2 children). The food was good and well presented - The service and hospitality was equally good. An enjoyable way to end the day.

First thing to say is how friendly the staff are. We popped in for lunch, hadn’t booked and they were busy. However we were found a table, nothing was too much trouble. We shared scallops for a starter which was really nice, followed by muscles. The food was absolutely delicious. We are currently down here on holiday but if we get the chance will be back.

Great restaurant / bar overlooking Cawsand beach with plenty of seating inside and out. Apart from not doing breakfast, everything was first rate. The coffees were lovely, the Sunday lunch Hugh and the mid week dinner selection yummy. The staff were fun, welcoming and attentive throughout our visits. The prices were also reasonable, dog friendly and plenty of paid parking nearby. What’s not too love.

We ate here twice during our stay. All the meals were great. The fresh fish was wonderful. Service was quick and done with a smile. We always book our first and last nights of the holiday here and look forward to coming back next year.

This was really really good…. Sunday roast was fabulous as was the fish chowder…. Really was freshly cooked which so often isn’t the case… service was spot on … informal but professional… dogs could not be made more welcome… great experience thanks

Perfect spot to dry off with a coffee and cake whilst walking the coast path on a damp day. Choice of teas and tasty carrot cake

Food does not live up to decor Tempera prawns 4 pieces on minute mushy salad very greasy Crab sandwiches very little crab mainly brown watery meat tasting bitter bread so thick and dry crisps soggy would not recommend I did complain but it was laughed off by the waiter

Staying local in the area so thought we would have some lunch, walked in wasn’t sure if we just found a table so went to the lady behind the bar was very friendly and showed us to a table, took our drinks order and said someone will take our food order shortly, that didn’t happen the 2 young waitresses weren’t great at customer service, one just seemed to want to stay standing by the kitchen section to chat with the guys in there, when she wasn’t doing that she was clearing tables slowly, I kept trying to catch her eye and even when she did seem to look over she didn’t smile, come over etc, in the end I went up to the bar to order with the older lady, after a while the older lady who seemed to be doing it all asked her to lay our table with cutlery that seemed like a chore to her. I don’t understand people if the don’t want to be friendly and polite why work in a front facing customer role. The food was nice nothing special but not bad but if we stay in the area will probably try somewhere else.

The food was really nice and thankfully we were able to order before they shut the kitchen (although the timings on their menu are incorrect). When it got to the bill however we were charged for a drink we didn't have and it took over ten minutes to get a cup of tea (which was missing both the teaspoon and the biscuit) by which point my relative had already finished his drink (it wasn't busy either). When we tried to get the incorrect drink refunded no one claimed to know how to do it and then when my relative went in they said it had already been completed (I just let the matter drop as it was just going to be a hassle). Seemed to be a lack of communication in the FOH and they were somewhat irriatable if asked anything, same as the food and view was nice. Will probably try somewhere else next time.

Top class Sunda lunch. Great atmosphere, good service and good food. Will be going back again. Would recommend to pre book Sunday Lunch.
