The best fish and chips around (and I've tried them all). Less greasy than Jacks etc and you don't feel rubbish or heavy after! From cod bites and monster chips guy!

Me and my mate has fish and chips every Saturday tea time. Great fish and chips the quality, quantity and price is excellent I can't fault them. The staff are friendly and the place is always clean. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Nothing changed there still affordable quality fish and chips. No change at this fish and chips. Still value for money. Still value for money.

Very reasonably priced, but chips were wrapped before fish went into fryer. So, guess what? Yep, chips weren't very hot by the time the fish was cooked. Lovely piece of Cod, but batter was soggy and under done.

I always love fish and chips from here, great value, and fast service. The chips are always fresh and hot, and the nuggets are my favourite 😍. we have never had a bad meal from here ♥️ Would recommend 100% 👌 😋

First-time customer on Saturday evening and was very happy with our meal. Freshly fried fish and the jumbo cord was huge. Really liked the crispy batter and lovely chips. Will be back again soon.

Ordered 2 cheesy chips and 3 curry sauces £11.20 the portion sizes when I got home were disgusting Mac’s and cousin jacks are all bigger only reason I used this place is the others had no cheese left !!!! never again not good value !!!!!

I messaged to see if they were open, had a reply to say they were open. When we arrived at 7.30pm, they were closed, very annoying . The opening hours on door say closes 8pm . This needs to be changed please

Everything I ordered was cooked fresh, the owner was lovely and friendly. The food was amazing and you get more than what you pay for, I had the cod bites and chips. I was expecting the cod bites to be miniscule, but they were massive! More like chunks of cod, the chips were beautiful and not greasy tasting at all. The prices were really good, for my meal and my mums(cod and chips) and my can of pop it only came to £12! Anywhere else and that probably would have been twice as much. Can safely say I'll be going there for my cod bites and chips again.

Always great to visit this chippy and relatively cheap with the best chips in the area. Always happy with this place

Bit hit and miss, sometimes the chips are great and sometimes they taste raw and smell funny.

Fantastic! Lovely, flakey white cod and perfectly cooked chips. The best we've tried in the area. Hard to park, but well worth the effort.

Not like it once was, very disappointed. Chips were awful. Will be finding a new place as given this one a few chances but it’s still bad food.

Really used to love the fish and chips for here however the last 2 times we have had it now the batter on the fish was well over done and tasted like it was cooked in old fat and the same with the chips. We thought this was a one off from last time we went however that doesnt seem to be the case as it was the same again this time. Really disappointed and not worth the money

Just been and picked up three portions of fish and chips. One of the fishes was raw 1 was fine then other was just about cooked. Tried ringing but no answer and unable to go back into shop, disappointing.

So many fish & chip shops take a beautiful piece of fish and fry it in old rancid fat...this is the reason I no longer visit this....my nearest..fish & chip shop!

Come across this chippy a few weeks ago and everytime we go in theres always a pleasant greeting.I asked for a bag of chips and was asked,"what size" i went for the medium which is more than enough for 2.The fish is thick, crispy and very nice as are the pies etc.It's a chippy well worth looking out for. We tried those from sanders on the main rd and the chips were dire and my wife said the fish was flavorless.Its not the biggest chippy but its well worth looking out for.

We gave up on Sanders and are back at this chippy. We had large portions of fish and chips - all very delicious, beautifully cooked and very tasty. Perfect. Thanks,

Chips where nice but they didn't salt and vinegar them even when we'd asked for it. Plus my fish batter was soggy not at all crisp and tasted floury. Have had food from here before always been good but today and time before not up to standard .

Absolutely disgusting. Been going for years. The last fish & chips I got weren't great but tonight's were awful. Will not be going back here again.

I've had fish and chips a few times at this chippy and every time have been disgusting can't the lady fry never go there again.

Really great food although they forgot 1 thing from my order. Wasn't anything major and the food was great so it made up for it

Go somewhere else !!!! Greasy and soggy. Don't believe the title of best chips for miles. Cousin Jack's down the road is supposed to be better but when I got out of the car there was a strong smell of used fat, so I went to this one. Get a curry instead

Lovely people that work there and great food

Chips are quite hard inside. Fish is normally cooked to long and when ever the woman are working they never answer the phones so that you can order your food so instead you need to go up there and wait a long time for it to cook

I've been here a few times now for our takeaway and the staff are always nice. The chips sizes are huge! A small is your average medium at anywhere else. Great value for money and would go here every time over cousin Jack's.

Tried a few times , very inconsistent food. First time the chips were great , second 50% of the chips were raw . Tried again recently, didn’t have any raw chips this time but the wait was enough for me to not to be returning . I waited 30-45 mins just for a portion of chips with only 3 people in front of me , none of which had unreasonably large orders . Average at best chips , terribly slow service

Love them... make a special visit whenever in that part of Cornwall. Especially like the batter on the fish!

This site we have visited a number of times when we are down in Cornwall. Normally there's nice people serving. Not this time. Was greeted by a miserable and not polite or welcoming person in a shop where you need to speak to customers. The food in general isn't too bad. I had scampi and chips, normal size cod. Also for the in-laws was a portion of chips and a large cod. Which weren't bad at all. I don't think I'll be visiting again as I begrudge giving money to a business where the person talking to customers can't even smile at a paying customer. I'd probably find somewhere else even if I have to drive to it or cook it myself from now on.

Love the fish and chips here . My husband and I have a jumbo cod and small chips and this is ample for us . And we still get change from £10 . You can have a card and every time you purchase a meal you get a stamp and when filled you get fish and chips free.

Great fish and chips, well cooked, good taste and portion sizes. One of the best I've tried anywhere in the UK. Recommended.

This use to be my favourite chippy , use to have great tasting fish and chips at a low price. WE would use at least once a week and some weeks more. NEVER had a bad meal. Then Robert sold it too someone who wasn't very nice. The food went to very bad, I had to throw the chips out because they weren't eatable. The prices went up so much. Now I go to Morrison's and have a tasty large fish, chips, peas, tartar sauce and a pot of tea for £5.00 and that includes ait in if you want to or takeaway, that is around half the price. Sorry but I only live a few doors away from what was Robert's. Morrison's a little further to walk, but it is well worth it, if you want to be able to rely on being able to eat and enjoy your meal.

Use to do great fish and chips but past three visits have been awful when the woman is cooking the chips are awful. Partner just came home with fish and chips....batter soggy and uncooked chips hard in places....dissapointed

Great fish and chips, good size portions and everything is fried perfectly!

You will get excellent food and service every time. I live locally so give them a ring for my order and it is always ready for me as requested. The jumbo fish portions are rather large but always excellent fresh fish every time. The chip portions are also large and one portion is usually enough for the two of us. believe me we both like our food! Smaller fish portions are available as are pies, sausages and much more!! They also have special meal deals.

I am an irregular but long standing customer as I live, and work, some way away. With noticeable attention to detail Mr Richardson maintains a really good set up that has always given us good food. Please consider continuing to provide brown paper bags when Roberts bags run out as an alternative to plastic cariers it keeps the food crisp as well as hot. We enjoy our take away meals very much and they are great value. Thx

Visiting from Newquay, the portion size and the quality were past compare! Used to get lunch here when working in Tolgus, and it hasnt changed much. Great...........................

This small takeaway is worth a visit any time you fancy a good fish and chips. Easy to find and helpfull staff. A chippy as it should be.

I enjoy cooking but occasionally visit the chippie because it is not only across the road but because the food is freshly cooked and tastes good. They are victims of their own success as there can be queues there especially on Fridays. But any wait is well worth it.

We came here quite alot when the new owner took over the chips were amazing the batter was lush we couldnt fault them. but as of late everytime we go in on a saturday the chips are disgusting !! They are dark brown and very greasy the batter is no better, its soggy and has a funny taste!! They have definately gone very down hill!! We will not be coming back as it seams the quality of food they are putting out it very very poor. Our 7 year old refused to eat the chips they where that bad !!!!

This place has great fish and chips, good portions and friendly service.We have been many times and it is our favourite in the Redruth and Camborne area.

Been taken over, pretty good fish 'n' chips, large portions, fresh cooked to order, the queue is always out the door-which shows it got to be good.For regulars, they offer a loyalty card, when you get so many points, you can choose from a separate menu-what you get for free.

fish was soggy as hell all the batter ripped off on the paper and the chips were brown way over cooked i suggest this chip shop gets better cooks because the food is awful
