Mi familia y yo desayunamos aquí! Una cálida bienvenida tan encantadora e incluso compró algunos hermosos anillos hechos a mano El breaky se hizo a la perfección con un huevo perfectamente escalfado y el más delicioso pudín negro crujiente

I stayed here for 2 nights with my Mum. I would highly recommend staying here. The room was lovely & the bed was comfortable. The full English Breakfast was amazing. Caroline & Gareth are fantastic hosts & have lots of local knowledge. Hutton-le-hole is absolutely stunning & is ideally situated for exploring the Moors & is only an hour away from Whitby & York. We will definitely be back 😊

Another fabulous GF lunch at the barn - a visit to HLH wouldn’t be complete without a homemade GF scone with jam and cream

What a wonderful time we had at The Barn Guest House & Tea Rooms - superb staff and a really friendly atmosphere! The breakfasts were piping hot and the order was spot on. We brought the homemade desserts back with us for later as they looked delicious and we didn’t want to miss out :) Definitely worth the 2 hour drive each way and we will be back next year :). Thank you!

We stayed 3 nights, Caroline, Gareth, & the staff are all helpful & accommodating, the breakfasts we had were substantial, our room was very clean, the overall price was well worth it. The Barn Guest house is also dog friendly....we really enjoyed our stay, & will go back again. Hutton Le Hole is a lovely village, the village pub is only 4 mins walk away.. The village is also close enough for such places as Goathland, Pickering, & Whitby. Would recommend The Barn Guest House to anyone.

I stayed at this tearoom on the last weekend of October and it didn’t disappoint! Had a lovely room with a heater that kept me very warm (especially as it was really cold there)! The guest house and tea room was a lovely building in a nice area, it was remote but still plenty to do. The food was gorgeous and thoroughly enjoyed my meals there. But the best part was the owners, absolutely pleasant people who made me feel very welcome and were very helpful during my time there. Will definitely return in the future!

Called in here with my husband and a friend we had not seen for over 20 years on a day out we had in this lovely village. We chose to have a drink here as it was doggy friendly. Made very welcome and we sat on a very comfortable sofa. We all had the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows which was served in tall glass mugs. Not hurried at all and had a chat with the owners. The dog settled down so we were all relaxed and rested when we left. The drinks were £2.50 each and well worth it. Definitely recommend.

The Trip Adviser reviews about the rooms here are a joke. The people who wrote them must never have stayed in a BnB before. I might add that i have travelled all over the World and Cycled for 54 nights round the Coast of Britain last year using BnBs every night. We were given the smallest double room i have ever been in for the first night. This was after i was told i could have a twin room which i said i needed, which is why i booked a second night. The half size wardrobe was so small it was ridiculous, with the 2ft rail running from front to back. The lower half of this wardrobe had the establishments spare sheets etc in it. There was nowhere to put cases or hang coats or jackets up except on back of a door. Only one person at a time could walk round the very old bed/mattress or get access to the wardrobe. There was only an old wall heater which made a loud noise, no heating in the bathroom at all. On the second day we were given a twin room, again a very pokey room which only had one bedside cabinet (due to the size of the room). It had a wall heater hanging off, and a wall fan above the toilet in the bathroom. We would have liked a shower or a wash the following morning but the shower and taps failed to produce any water at all. The only thing this place has in its favour is the pleasantness of the proprietors the Breakfast and its stunning location, as for the property its a disaster. I only paid the £79 out of sympathy for the owners plight as the place needs a fortune spending on it. They also need to get out into the World to see what is on offer as they are light years behind.

Myself and my partner stayed here and from start to finish it was lovely. The owners are so welcoming and friendly. From the cup of tea on arrival to the advice on whats hot and whats not on departure at breakfast (which was also spot on) ... Something greater came to my attention which really stood out to me as perfect attention to detail, there was an elderly couple at the tea rooms and the lady had dementia, the gent who owns this place did everything he could to assist them in and out and throughout the duration of their visit. It was a beautiful thing to see. I recommend this place exceedingly.

Chose to have lunch here after our journey to this area, was delighted by the softness of the bread, the Wensleydale and spiced chutney was delicious and the beef was beautiful too. It was also nice to have a cafetière of coffee with plenty of hot water. Highly recommended.

Sunny by day the tea rooms are a wonderful stop mid walk in hills. The service was friendly and the prices very reasonable. Sensational home cooking. Not a large menu but fresh and delicious.

We had just finished our visit to the nearby Ryedale Folk Museum and decided to call in The Barn for a light bite and a drink. We received a warm welcome from Brian the proprietor ( along with his wife Janet ). It was a lovely late October afternoon and we got a table in the window with a lovely view out over the road and over part of Hutton-le-Hole. We all chose to have the bacon & brie bagettes along with a couple of pots of tea between the four of us. Our butties duly arrived along with a small side salad and crisps & they were very good, we all enjoyed them. Only two of us opted for a pudding, one apple pie and custard and one bread and butter pudding with custard, both very good as the clean dishes soon testified! These are really pleasant tea rooms in a lovely location with friendly owners. They also do B&B, there are seven en-suite bedrooms available.

This was one of my favourite bars in Harrogate, I was gutted when I heard it had closed. The staff here were fantastic and always made me feel welcome. I will have to go over to Leeds or York to try the cozy bars there from now on, so I hope to see some of you in the near future! All the best. Matt

Fabulous meal! Four of us ate in the bar area which accommodated our requirements for a dog friendly evening meal out. We all selected the 2 course option which was excellent value and the portion sizes are very generous indeed. The terrine starter was a favourite along with the sherry trifle which was delicious. Great service, great welcome and great food. If this was our local we would be regular customers!

We have eaten here a few times after walking in the local area. We had a dismal experience at breakfast at the Kings Head close by so we went here as it opened and had a great English breakfast. It was fresh, well served and the pace is a bit quirky but comfortable and you are always made to feel welcome.

Popped in whilst looking for a quick lunch. Very unusual setting for a tea room but works well with about 10 tables set up between the pews & the altar. The pews act as an overflow area if all tables are taken but we arrived as one was being vacated. Very friendly staff, a relaxing atmosphere and excellent value for money. Menu is limited to a choice of rolls, soup and a tempting range of homemade cakes & scones. Rolls could have improved if pickle, mustard or mayonnaise had been offered but the cakes & scones made up for this as they were very nice. The church itself is a delightful building and worth a visit in it’s own right. An interesting alternative lunch option.
