Our first visit to the Barn, first impressions ..... it’s most definitely a Barn, the car park is a bit here and there, there are Animals.....But no interaction allowed it seems? So..... moving indoors... the front desk wasn’t staffed, had to wait for someone to come up from the food area right down the end. As a business owner in a similar market I find this a bit rubbish from a child protection point of you, there’s no supervision of entry and exit or atleast not today, the gates low, easily stepped over. Good value price wise entry and kids meal deal £6.50 per child, wasn’t made aware that unlimited squash is included with the meal deal so ended up paying extra for fruit shoot type things. Food was absolutely fine and within a reasonable time, my toddlers meal had a nice bit of deep fried plastic/card in it but I found it before he did. So.... play area, cool ideas, love the separate areas especially the indoor sand pit. Great thing to have! Toddlers and under 5’s will love it all. It is Grubby, it could do with a refresh, a lot of the toys could be updated but the kids enjoyed it. If we were very local I’m sure we’d make use of this place again, but alas we’re 45 minutes away

This place is a bit mad really but kids seem to like it. Firstly the car park is always busy, but you can park in the end. To get into the barn you go past various animals which is random. They don’t seem interested in visitors. The barn itself is always busy and loud. You have to be let in once you ave paid, often you wait if attending a party too. They an area for babies, an area for driving little cars, a bouncy castle/ trampolines, a dressing up area and a sand pit. I hate the sand pit personally and luckily for me so does my daughter. There is a crammed seating area and the do sell food and drinks, the cake is randomly good. Party’s here are simple. Little interaction with the children, just organising of food. Play dates here are loud and you will have a headache afterwards. I’m not a soft play fan at all, avoid generally, but the variety is good for kids and they do enjoy it and that’s why we put up with it!

From the website it says it's under new management and has had lick and paint and new toys etc. Not sure she this was updated as looks like it's in need of another face lift. All a bit grubby and worn and the outside area looks run down. Didn't see any animals apart from one goat. The prices had also gone up from website. It's ok but won't be going back in a hurry.

Visited today for a breakfast, offered children’s meal deals on entry and then found out there is no breakfast option, on the plus side they honoured it to include breakfast out of good will. Lots of broken toys, dirty floors and tables not cleared despite it being busy. Had breakfast sandwiches and they were disgusting, told staff when she cleared full plates away and had no reaction. They were also expensive £4.50 each! Coffee were ok but again on the pricey side. Won’t be visiting again. It is my second visit and wasn’t impressed the first time but thought I would give it another chance.

A lovely modern twist on soft play with different areas for sand play, dress up, roads-ons and bouncing. A lovely new garden area compliments the indoor play when the sun is shining. Cakes are to die for and good deals for kids play including a meal.

This place is filthy. Not just dirty or day old mess...but genuinely filthy. Just look up! I know it's a barn...but it's for children, and for eating...and it's not clean at all. Go beyond the infrastructure...the fancy dress clothes are dirty and need washing, the carpets need cleaning. Some toys now need replacing. The thing is, this is a popular place. In theory it is great. Large. Lots of things to do. It has a frigging bouncy castle inside!! My daughter loves it! I genuinely they just need to get all the staff in and close for the weekend and have a good deep clean. There is a balloon hanging down from the ceiling which has obviously been there a long time. It's August and there are still Christmas lights up covered in cobwebs. Toilet was horrific. The food tastes really good. I was a bit disappointed (snob alert) because crips etc are Aldi. I don't buy Aldi crisps as I find them greasy (personal opinion) and to have them in a meal deal I found disappointing. It's not like the price has come down. The only other downside is the other customers. This is an amazing play centre - large, lots of activities and so on...but the other customers do not supervise properly. This means that older children go on the younger children's things. My young daughter was on the trampoline and an 8 year old boy barged on scaring her. This, I understand, is not necessarily The Barn's problem; but it certainly detracted from my enjoyment. Maybe they need to enforce adult supervision a bit more. There are animals outside too! In conclusion: The potential to be brilliant, just needs a good clean. Good menu. Tasty food. Friendly and helpful staff.

We found this as we were visiting the area to meet friends. We arrived and there was plenty of parking. 3.50 entry for children. The different areas for children were great the big sand pit the bouncy castle or trampolines the road area for bikes scooters and go karts then the road area for toy cars. We spent a couple of hours then children were relaxed and just played. Nice informal relaxed children could just play and dress up. Drinks were reasonable prices £1.50 a drink etc ordered some food but it went to a different table they realised this apologised and did us the food again. Lovely staff would recommend

I think chaotic pretty much sums up this place. We arrived about 11am and there were children running around everywhere so pretty hard to negotiate moving around with a baby in your arms. Baby play area was great with lots of good toys however people kept depositing older babies in the baby area and wandering off leaving them to toddle around unsupervised. Seemed to spend more time making sure my daughter wouldn't be squashed by other children than playing with her. This of course is the fault of inconsiderate parents/carers rather than The Barn but is still annoying, especially when there are notices up saying not to leave your children unattended. Finally, when you arrive there are signs up saying you can't eat your own food but they do offer a tickets for about £3.50 where you get entry and a baby meal. We therefore bought this and then about our daughters usual lunch time ordered her some food. It is now 30 minutes later and we have only just received our food. You can't really explain to an upset 7 month old that they have to wait that long for food and therefore her food went uneaten as I'd had to give her a milk feed because of the wait. All in all, probably a great venue if you have a toddler, but not if you have a baby unless you want to spend your time stopping them being squashed/prodded by older children!

Had my daughters 3rd birthday party, a bargain at £70 give or take a round of brews. It's never crowded and very relaxed. Kids are always in sight (unlike the big play barns where they disappear). The food is the best part for me (Dad). Pies, breakfasts and butties are excellent! It's a proper farmers wife type meals which I love. Recommended!

My 3 year old loves this place and so did I! It has a sandpit which is super clean with lots of toys to dig and play, copious amounts of fancy dress items, a bouncy castle, and an area which the children can ride cars/trikes etc in. They also have a great enclosed baby area. Another bonus is that they have events every weekday, such as singing time or creation station which is included in the price. The Barn is well suited for babies and toddlers alike, does some yummy cake and is a bargain. Entry and a meal was £5.50, adults go free!

We took our toddler grandaughter and had a great time. As it was during term time, the other children were all under 5. It was lovely to see so many young parents with their children plus grandparents. We bought the meal/deal for her (£5.50) and she had a good sized portion of cottage pie full of meat, carrots and peas with a topping of mashed potato. We'll certainly will visit again.

We came here with our 3 grand kids, aged 2, 4 and 7 on a very busy wet Half-term Friday. Luckily we got there early so nabbed a table and enough chairs for us all. I thought it was good value entry at £5.50 for each of the children which included any meal on the kids menu and a drink. Adults got free entry. There was plenty for our kids to do and there are special events each day. Today there was a dance leader who got the children dancing and clapping and playing instruments for over an hour. There was no time limit for our stay either (we were there for 3 hours).Food is pretty good too, much of it homemade, and at a reasonable price. I had the French oinion soup and it was great. Everybody left there happy.

We visited the barn at Emsleys farm as our 4 year old son was invited to one of his friends 4th birthday party there, they do private parties, you've got exclusive use of the play barn for an hour or so followed by party food and birthday cake then they put some music on so the kids can have a bit of a dance. We've been to two parties now and found that the staff were friendly, the place is clean and all the children were thoroughly enjoying themselves. This is so much better than trying to have a kids birthday party at home, it costs you about £100 I think but obviously no hassle, the children love playing on the equipment and the best bit is someone else gets to do the tidying up !!

Took my one year old here with some friends and was amazed by the amount of different spaces to play within the barn - there's something to suit all little people and it was busy with lots of other Mums and their children, so very popular. My little boy absolutely loved being able to play with lots of different toys and I loved that he was safe in one of the sections to play in. We had lunch, which was lovely - fresh food, great, friendly service and plenty of high chairs. It was a fantastic day, looking at all of the different animals outside and then letting the kids run off some steam and have a coffee and natter with friends. I'd highly recommend The Barn to anyone with kids - a real hidden gem!!!

We stayed at the hotel for the night so we thought it was easier to eat in the restaurant before we went out as we had an event on at Dalby Forest. When we checked into the hotel we were asked to let them know if we would be having dinner in the restaurant, we said we would be but wasn't sure what time, that was all fine but they said it might be busy. We went down to the restaurant around 6pm and it was dead. There were quite a few in the sports bar but the restaurant itself was empty. There were 2 waiting staff on who both spent most of the time looking at their phones. The menu online was entirely different to what was given to us in the restaurant. The online menu made the food sound a la carte but it was pretty basic, usual pub grub menu- steak, burgers etc. I ordered a medium rare steak and my partner had a burger. My steak was OK and it was probably medium rare but it was quite tough and bland and nothing to be excited about. I cannot remember the exact amount of the total bill but we did think at the time that it was a bit over priced for what it was. Wouldn't recommend unless that's your only option to eat out. Not impressed.

This place seems to divide opinion judging by the reviews but we thought it hit the spot nicely. Yes, the owner does invite you in if he spots you looking at the menu but we felt able to walk away, check a couple of other places and come back with no pressure. Sat out the back where there is lots of Bronte and Railway Children memorabilia on the walls. Even on a dreary day there were decent views over the valley towards Crossroads. In the summer the terrace would probably be lovely. We had homemade lentil and vegetable soup each, two sandwiches served with salad, pot of tea, bottle of water and a toasted tea cake for £25. For Haworth that’s not bad. Food was served quickly and was good, solid, no frills stuff - ideal for a grey autumn day.
