Very busy as a Saturday they were busy so took a while to clear tables food was fine and hot drinks good

We had a window seat on 1st floor. Lovely view. Nice spoons pub.

We called in for lunch and had the southern fried chicken with chipotle mayo wrap. Definitely not chipotle mayo. More like peri peri and way too much on the wrap. The place itself had a good lunchtime vibe but is tired and drab. The toilets were awful. We travel a lot and have used numerous wetherspoons and this is one we would not return to. The staff however were friendly and pleasant and as we ordered from the app the waiting time for our food and drinks was good.

My wife and I, with friends came to Cheltenham for the first time and stopped at the Premier Inn. For breakfast we all agreed on a Wetherspoons. Yhere were 2 but this was the closest. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food is what you would expect at Wetherspoons. The only criticism is the toilets absolutely stank of urine, both male and females.

Nice cook breakfast, great tea and free refills very nice nice, value for money.

Called in after Cheltenham races it was busy but staff & service was excellent

Food and drink selection are decent. Staff are good too. The pub is over 2 tiers so pretty roomy. On the down side trying to find a plug socket to charge your phone is hard work, couldn't find any sockets upstairs.

Its a Spoons. The food is cheap and cheerful but nothing to write home about. Something may come out slightly too cold or piping hot and totally depends on the day. You can order food and drinks to your table very easily but dont expect good service because the servers are usually so ridiculously busy they dont have time to talk to you beyond a polite hello before they have to dash off again. The app also means theres not really "table service" in the traditional meaning. The atmosphere depends on the day but theres no music and a lot of the time youre looking at a pub full of the older generation or full of students. Not bad, not great, does what it says on the tin.

I haven't had anything to eat here so I can't comment on the food . A smallish pub on 2 floors , usual good Weatherspoons prices , lots of "regular" customers . Clean tidy pub with very good , friendly , efficient staff . Don't get a seat near the door as a cold draught blows in every time the door is opened

I pop in here a lot, the staff are friendly, the food is what you would expect, issues are sorted quickly, it's a thriving place.

Its a Wetherspoons so we all know what to expect. The beer is cheapish, but slowley creeping up in price for the better brews. Service at the bar was quick and friendly. It suffers the usual problem of tables not being cleared when customers leave. But otherwise its OK.

Very disappointing visit. No clean tables, ended up clearing and wiping our own. Very short staffed, when we finally got served at the bar I was told that I couldn’t have the vegetarian sausages and mash as they had run out of gravy. There was a 40 minute wait for food, during that time I was told that one of the toppings for my jacket potato had run out. As I am vegetarian there was no other option for me so I had to have just one topping, despite paying for two. When the meals finally arrived, my daughter had sausages and about 70% peas (obviously to fill the plate) and a tiny clump of hard mash that looked like it had been scraped off the bottom of the pan. There was also no gravy. I appreciate that this is ‘cheap’ pub food but there needs to be some standards. My daughters mash was inedible. It was really disappointing and we will certainly never return to that Wetherspoon again, there weee no staff around to speak to, just one waiter serving a lot of tables.

Yet another Wetherspoons visited, number #106. This time the Bank House in Cheltenham. A large three floor Wetherspoons pub (toilets are in the basement), with a bar on each floor, situated in the heart of Cheltenham. Thankfully this branch was saved from the chop, in the spate of closures that were announced last year. (Unfortunately Spoons still do not fully grasp that busy areas require more than one pub!) Ordered the Vegetarian Breakfast and a pint of Green Jack Lurcher stout (it was 11:50am!). Drinks service was a little slow, arriving around 10 minutes after order was placed. Food arrived after around 20 minutes. No issues with it when it did arrive. Recommended if youvl are out and about in Cheltenham.

Was in a rush so had a quick tea there! Mistake! Straight burger was like cardboard, the bun slightly toasted bacon and cheese was all tasteless - ketchup was like looking for the holy grail - many tables sticky - floor was dirty. Walked down flights of stairs to eventually get to the toilet after food - the toilets reeked of urine which made me wretch - they hadn’t been cleaned properly for a looooooong time. All in all - put me off Wetherspoons for life!!

The food was seriously overcooked and tasted like cardboard. I had the burger. The tables were sticky we gave up in the end looking for a clean table and wiped the table we chose ourselves with wet wipes that we happened to have - phew! Went to the toilet afterwards - the toilets stank of urine making me wretch they were so disgusting! 🤮 I don’t have high expectations but the food and experience as a whole was well below par. The place was extremely dirty and there’s no excuse for that. I be going to a Wetherspoons again that’s for sure.

The staff were so lovely, especially by Meg who was serving our table on the top floor. She was so friendly and checked back and cleared our table immediately, definitely would come back because of the service we received from her - thought she was a manager definitely had a lot of respect for the customers!

First fish over cooked,poss in old oil. 2nd fish not much better, ordered large come out dry , looking like it was cooked in old oil again,not much of it . Peas were all different colours.chips double dipped (cold put back in frier to be (recooked) . Cleanliness of pub not great upstairs ,toilets need a good clean . Used app which I seen my drinks being put on hold . While staff spoke to customers . Overall not a great experience. No service check. Waited till we left to collect plates.

Had a really enjoyable lunch here taking advantage of the Steak Club Tuesday offer. 2 Steak meals and 2 large glasses of wine for £25, brilliant!

This was a fantastic pub for drinking, set in a fancy building with the lush interior to match! Chandeliers and greenery help decorate as does the well presented counter, manned by very welcoming staff. Me and my friend enjoyed cocktail pitchers from here, sitting comfortably at a clean table!

This was my very first spoons and it did not disappoint! We spent two weeks in town over the holidays and frequented the bank house more times than we probably should have but the food is good (apart from a few times on the meh side) there are so many drink options and the staff were super friendly! Can’t wait to come back for race week 2025.

One of the better Wetherspoons located right in the centre of Cheltenham offers great service from very helpful, friendly and efficient staff. The food and service were great. Unfortunately, both the toilets smelled awful, and the disabled toilet floor was flooded and did not smell neutral. Maybe once in a while use of disinfectant might be an idea!

Rude staff. Waited an hour for a breakfast to be told in a very passive aggressive tone. "The food comes as it comes. Your not the only one eating you know"!

Traditional Wetherspoons. Variably busy, when I went in on a weekend morning there were no seats free! Generally prompt and attentive service when I visit in an evening. No music weekend evenings so a quieter crowd than some.

I don't like doing bad reviews, but beyond delivering our drinks to the table in a timely fashion, not much went well. It took a while for food to come out... Burgers were dry, chips overcooked and luke warm, halloumi fries fried to within a minute of being charcoal, children's pizza barely cooked. Pigs in blankets were the best food on the table, but even 2 of them looked and felt like lumps of coal. When we complained about some, there was an excuse about "old oil", I dont cook often but if what I produced looked like that it wouldn't leave the kitchen and I dare say my 5 year old could have done a better job.

Food was shocking. We waited nearly an hour then it came and most dishes were completely over cooked. Sauces were missing and ingredients on burgers etc. These were supposed to be halloumi fries. We were told it’s because the oil was old and it takes an hour to change over. Not sure how that was our issue and why the food served was so poor. It should never have been bought out in that state. How it was allowed I will never know.

Just an average Wetherspoons. It's fine. The food and drinks are decently priced and taste fine. Decent vegetarian options. The service is quick, and I'd recommend using the app for easier ordering. The place gets very busy, especially on weekends and evenings. The bathrooms are downstairs. The women's are generally ok.

My partner and I popped in for a swift half at The Bank House, but decided to order some food. Whilst we were initially pleased with the range of ales available, the same cannot be said for the food. We ordered baked potatoes with tuna and mayo filling. The food arrived, the potato was dry, and there was no mayonaise in it. Neither was there any butter, nor dressing on the salad. It was an unpleasant experience to say the least. I am pleased that the Bank House is still a Wetherspoons pub, but they really need to up their game on the food side of things. It feels like the place is just ticking over at the moment, no real effort is being made .

I like a Wetherspoons, I really do. Their business model is excellent but this one really lets the side down. We ordered electronically, most do now. Our drinks, ordered with a meal, arrived promptly. The meal was brought to us almost 1 hour later. They were busy, but they didn't seem busy with diners, just drinkers. The food was decidedly average. We won't be coming here again.

Food is actually really good if you take into consideration it's a Wetherspon Pub, drinks are cheap. Can't go wrong. They do an amazing English breakfast and their steak is really good too.

Ladies toilets need a lot of attention sorry to say but made me gag just walking in there .

Waited half an hour for a sparsely filled panini and side salad that arrived with no dressing and no tomatoes. Every single one of the mayonnaise bottles on the condiments table was empty. This is the last time I eat in Spoons. Gave up on their stone cold breakfasts years ago.

The toilets stunk and piss everywhere

Wetherspoons so cheap drinks and a cheap breakfast! Staff are friendly, food was cooked as you'd expect a breakfast to be cooked and hot. Always very busy with the usual one person to a table near to the bar so we always sit upstairs when having a drink as its a bit nicer.

Shout out to Coral who was the duty Manager on Tuesday evening. Myself and my partner came across a woman lying on the ground injured having fallen over. Long story short she got to Gloucester Royal accompanied by her friend. As we waited for the Ambulance she started to get cold - I jogged up to The Bank House and thankfully Coral, when I asked at the bar, went straight into action and gave me the warmest coat she could find. Thanks Coral, credit to spoons 👏

Had the Chicken Breast bites basket, very nice. Only point I would make is there should have been 10 pieces ( as stated on menu) but only 8 arrived !! 20 % less .... Good for waistline 🤔

Never had any food, ordered managers special, told price was wrong £7.70 +£1.00for a beer. I asked why was it advertised on the bar. Stroppy short blond girl through her toys out of the pram. I asked for something else advertised the guy serving me had know idea what I was asking for and didn't know how to find it on order pad. I left discussted.

Unfortunately they are not attentive to customers, when I asked one but instead I got another,if you're doubtful or confused,try clarify before making your own decision and serve. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to eat there as kitchen didn't work at that time.

It was very busy but our food was delivered to our table in good time and the food was good prices and delicious the atmosphere was loud we sat upstairs and had a lovely meal and drink and overall our visit was very satisfactory

This is a large Weatherspoons. The lower section is quite small, but the upper floor has lots of tables, some of which with views over town. There's the normal varied spoons menu with something for everyone. Some of our food was slightly overcooked, but other parts were perfect. The service was really quick and friendly.

Came here as a stop off to Devon. Been to numerous Weatherspoons but found the service to be really good here. We came for a few drinks but stayed for a meal. Jake remembered our drinks order and gave fantastic customer service and the Manager, I believe his name is Trey but he led by example by sweeping, clearing tables and serving customers when needed. For us staying for an hour but ended up staying the evening. You both should be recognised for your excellent customer service. Well done.

Decent wetherspoons - service is usually fast enough, and bouncers are friendly. Toilets are always disgusting though.

We visited this place and The Moon under Water on the same say and this place is much better. Better selection of real ales, clean and a general nice atmosphere. We enjoyed a bar meal which was up to the standard expected. We will be back.
