Kimchi, steamed fish, aubergine pot, stir fry cabbage, kimchi pancake, soy bean paste tofu stew Absolutely fantastic! No frills, great food. Best kimchi I’ve ever had. Silky steamed fish. Kimchi pancake was a crowd favourite. Cabbage was surprisingly flavourful. Aubergine was authentically (weirdly similar to) Chinese Tofu stew was lacking, the tofu was not soft (per previous experience) but the broth was warm and comforting Had quite a few Chinese dishes on the menu My friend devoured his bbq pork

It seemed like the waiting staff did not know what they were doing and the food when it arrived was about as Korean as a Vesta meal. I wasted my money paying for the food we did get and eat.

Firstly the driver was very rude to my husband, had difficulty finding our house and wouldn’t listen to my husbands directions on how to find us and became increasingly obtuse accusing us of using the wrong postcode when really he just want looking at the street signs. When the food finally arrived to was vile. All of the salad had seen better days, slimy lettuce and soggy radish that tasted of big water. The Korean beef was grim and such a small portion, an utter disappointment. Chicken Katsu was barely edible with a very questionable cut, rice that was dry and a greasy sauce again accompanied by a grim selection of soggy veg. Finally a chicken burger so disgusting it couldn’t be eaten at all. Overall a disappointing, bordering disgusting waste of time and money. Don’t make the same mistake we did.

If your idea of a Saturday evening out needs to include mediocre food, dirty toilets, poor service, and the English language mangled to within an inch of its life, then this is the place for you. The only wait staff disappears for long periods, so our top tip is to ask her ten year old daughter for what you want.

I went here with a friend last weekend and we ordered steamed rice, some bbq chicken and a pork, kimchee, and tofu dish. We attended the restaurant at about 8:30 pm and there was only one other group in there. The waiter brought our menus and then stayed on a table at the back on his phone until we repeatedly signalled that we were ready to order. He came and took our order and the food came a short while after. They never came to ask if we wanted anything else or how the food was, but just came by at 9:50 to tell us they were closing and we needed to pay and leave. The rice came covered and was as nice as steamed rice gets, the chicken was over-spiced so you couldn't taste that it was chicken, but strangely the spices didn't really taste of much either. The whole dish was bland, I think it may have just had too much oil and too little salt. The pork on the other hand was really nice, it was a nice combination of sweet, sour and spicy, with the kimchee giving it a nice crunch and the tofu which was left plain provided a really nice pallet cleanser. This dish was well balanced and although it could have done with less oil. Had the service been decent I would have been more inclined to return - as 50% of the food being good out of two dishes is decent odds that there is something else good on the menu. But as it stands, I think I will go somewhere more welcoming next time I eat out!

I arrived at 86 St Clements Street, Oxford, expecting to eat Indian at Qumin's and ended up having a very good beef noodle dish with a kimchi salad side. The food was very good - a very large bowl, beefy and hot and spicy as I like it. I cannot give more than four as I was alone and tasted no other of their dishes. They also should have informed me they are not yet set up to accept cards. This meant I had to go to a nearby cash-dispenser.

Recently visited Bamboo near the train station in Oxford for Lunch on a Saturday. It was pretty empty, we were not approached when we walked in. We saw two waiters but were ignored and not really acknowledged. We had to walk all the way into the venue until someone eventually offered us a table. It took them a very long time to come over and ask for our food and when we were ready we had to wave (not something I like doing as find it quite rude, but there was no one around when we wanted to order food) Also we ordered starters and mains and assumed the starters would come separately or first in this instance. Instead all the dishes arrived quite randomly in no particular order and my friend felt she had to start to make sure it didn't go cold! I really enjoyed the food, just thought it was really expensive for a lunch meal and felt that perhaps the bento offers for the week could be available for the weekend too.

The so-called Korean BBQ meats were overcooked and immersed in oil, served in miserly portions on sizzling plates that didn't sizzle. The kimchi pancakes were too salty and hard as a foamboard. They insisted on not serving chilled sake, as according to them, it must be drunk warm. The meal for 3, including a bottle of neither warm nor cold sake, came to 80 pounds, which was regretful for a meal of this quality.

The restaurant offers a good selection of Korean food, lots of the spicy dishes we love, but also some milder and non-spicy food for the softies like me, such as BBQ dishes. The food is tasty, it is served nicely (some of the meat on sizzling hot metal plates, soups can be boiled by the table, etc.), the place is spacious, there is a good mix of large and small tables. The waiters are friendly and polite. Prices are perfectly average, for most mains between £8-13, and plenty of interesting sides. Their coffee is also good. And there are a few Korean beers you can try. All in all, unless you are looking for something outstanding this place is very good for a pleasant dinner with friends or family.

This is the worst experience ever. I would expect better food than last time, but it still let me down. We went there for lunch, but right now my stomach is not comfortable in the evening.I ordered three dishes, two is okay. Another one is Naengmyeon. I ordered this last time, and it was not as good as what it should taste. This time I think it may be made better, so I ordered it again. It is the terrible thing ever. I asked the manager to change the soup for noodles one time, but it is still not it should be. And the manager said this is the noodles should taste. I am an asian girl, and I have eaten Naengmyeon many times. I know what it should taste, and what the manager said is not satisfied. Not recommend to people who have eaten real Korean food. 5 hour later, my stomach still feels comfortless.这家餐厅做的真的是越来越差,服务态度也不是很好。冷面真的是我吃过最难吃的,其他两道菜也不是很好吃,就是非常一般。如果你想念韩国菜,你就去。但是如果不是非吃不可,建议去别的地方

I came here for Mother's Day with my mum and we were looking forward to a nice meal as I've been here several times however unfortunately the lady manager is was rude this particular time. We were not served enough lettuce for our pork BBQ , so I asked if we could have more as there is only three pieces . This is not enough to cover all the meat as the picture on the menu clearly shows more lettuce. So I asked the manager and she said no you have to pay more. And was being very sarcastic about the whole situation, saying do you want the decoration with the ice cream as well? I was very shocked by this, bare in mind we had already ordered £70 + worth of food for two and also charged 10% service charge for the meal. There was no additional special service for this charge. For the sake of 20p worth of lettuce she made us feel so embarrassed and shocked and treating a loyal customer in a very rude way . We are never coming back here again, there are so many quality and polite restaurants in Oxford DO NOT COME TO THIS ONE if you expect friendly treatment .

Called in here as we had never tried korean food before and it seemed to be frequented by lots of oriental nations, usually a good sign, the decor was typical and the staff friendly and genuinely helpful. As we'd not tried this type of food before and the menu looked too good, we went for a set menu, it all looked freshly prepared and tasted great, the beef in particular in the hot pot was melt in the mouth, the kimchi pancake was a revelation too. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, 10% service charge automatically added to the bill was a disappointment, a tip was deserved but I'd have liked the option myself. Decided to give this restaurant a try for lunch as we hadn't been there before - that was a mistake. The one member of staff who was working was efficient enough - I'm not sure what the other two people standing around the till were meant to be doing, but I never saw them lift a finger the whole time that we were there. Still as it was very quiet, service wasn't a huge challenge. As some other reviewers have said, the menus are rather confusing, jumping from drinks to sweets, to starters and then a mis-mash of soups, bbqs and salads - making it very difficult to plan our your entire meal. The menus do come with pictures of the food, none of them make the food look appetizing which, I suppose, makes them accurate pictures. Eventually we made our choices and waited a short while for the food to arrive. Our starter consisted of some fried dumplings, clearly the same dumplings that can be bought from the asian supermarket across the road - nothing wrong with them, but not worth the money. Our mains consisted of their 'lunch boxes' - both of which were quite ghastly. Mine consisted of a miso-soup, which looked like dishwater and tasted of very little. Tofu, which was also utterly devoid of texture or flavour - is a little sauce or seasoning too much to ask? And finally the main part of the meal, steamed rice and a 'spicy marinated pork dish' - which formed a sort of brown pile on the lukewarm platter, oozing with grease and tasting primarily of salt/MSG. I'd love to say that I chose badly and that my partner's dish was significantly better, but to be honest, it was hard to tell her chicken dish apart from my pork - they were both the same colour, texture and taste. The overall cost of the meal was, I suppose, quite reasonable for Oxford. However, given the poor quality of the food, did not represent good value for money in any form. There really are so many other, better choices in Oxford, many of them within walking distance of this establishment - do yourself a big favour and avoid this one at all costs.

Worth a visit. Good, steaming hot Korean food, but with some Chinese inflections. Service was really quick and personable. Prices more than reasonable. We had several soups, a kimchi pancake, glass noodles, fried squid, kimchi tofu with pork and a lot of side dishes. The food arrived fast. Everything tasted fresh. Good seasoning and well-prepared. Some of the dishes tasted somewhat Chinese (the owner is apparently an ethnically Korean Chinese), but this was by no means bad. The cook knows what he/she was doing, so the slight Chinese flavour in some of the dishes was actually a plus. Highly recommended.

The service was fine and the waitress was friendly. It was full of Asian customers and we noticed Koreans too which made us think that the food must be passable for Koreans to come too. This is a desperation restaurant when you are tired of fish and chips and the usual pub grub and would like something eclectic. A few of the dishes were reasonably Korean in style but most are more Chinese. The staff all speak Mandarin and were quite friendly and helpful. The food was tasty, of average quality and makes a passable impression of being Korean. The prices were very reasonable and the restaurant was full of Korean and Chinese students when we were there so they are either there because the food is cheap or because it is good. I've been here about 4 times, as I have lived in Korea. My all time favourite dish is Dol Sot Bib im Bap (currently under rice dishes, with no English translation - just Hangul) and I also love the spicy chicken. I took my parents there for the first time on Sunday (lunch time). Really we should have gone for dinner as there were few customers and so not much atmosphere. We were also very unlucky as an alarm went off towards the end of our meal and it took ages to turn it off. The waitress was young and Chinese with extremely poor English - the bar man spoke a little more but this needs to be addressed. Previous reviews have spoken of dirty menus - this has been sorted - and the menus are now ringbound and easy clean. There could still be more explanation of the dishes and there are some inconsistencies (see above). I ordered my usual rice dish and it came promptly and was delicious. I don't drink at lunch time so ordered Jasmine tea (£2.50). I expected steaming tasty loose leaf tea as one is used to in Chinese restaurants. Instead, I got a a poor quality tea bag and hot rather than boiling water so got an utterly tasteless brew. This is unacceptable! I was very disappointed! To sum up, the food was good as usual but the full experience came up short.

I probably would not have chosen this place had it not been for the fact that it was attached to the hotel I stayed in and my company provided a meal voucher. But it was a good experience overall. It is Korean food, which is not dissimilar to Chinese, but I think you have to change your mind-set. We did the usual Western thing of starter, main dish and rice, but really you need to get into the culture and order several dishes to share as there are no 'courses' as such.I enjoyed the food, excellent flavour and spice. It might be too spicy for some, but it suited us. Service was good. I was obviously fighting with the chopsticks and asked the waiter for a lesson, which he obliged with. Even got me different thicker sticks before taking pity on me and bringing a fork as I was obviously not getting it.Bit pricey, service charge 10% included. Meal for 2 on expenses with bottle of wine £50, perhaps I could have eaten more. Overall a nice experience and I would go again making sure I did the dishes to share culture.

INCOMPETENT SERVICE: I had ordered one of their set lunch boxes - the Dak Bulgorgi lunch box (sliced and marinated fried chicken served with fried crab sticks, miso soup, 2 side dishes and rice). The same young waitress who took our order, brought out my chicken dish and the rice, and then went off. She came back with the fried crab stick dish, but proceeded to ask the rest of the group if they had ordered it, to which I pointed out that it was part of my meal. She wasn't convinced and went to consult a menu, and came back to put the dish in front of me. Then, after waiting 10 minutes for my miso soup and side dishes to arrive, I asked the same waitress where they were. She replied, "You want some miso soup?" and went off to fill a bowl and brought it back. After another 5 minutes of waiting for my 2 side dishes, I asked the same waitress. She went off and never came back, and I never saw those side dishes! At this point I had given up trying!Other than the service, the restaurant is large, spacious and has a classy, marble-like decor. The menu has a good variety of Korean dishes. The food was generally of an alright standard. However, I dislike how a service charge is automatically included (as stated in their menu).

We ate here as we were staying in the hotel above it and had spent the whole day getting wet so didn't want to venture out again in the evening. There is very little atmosphere, no background music, all rather servisable. We were seated by a large pillar which was scuffed and marked, not a great view! The staff were pleasant. Our 2 main meals came out about 5 minutes apart which was not good. My sister enjoyed her spicy chicken which is why the review is a generous 'avarage'. My sweet and sour pork was the saltiest meal I have ever tasted and I think they had battered pieces of rubber rather than pork. Horrible.

Visited with a group of colleagues, the best I can say was that it was ok. Service was polite but awkward, we asked for a few more minutes to choose from the menu and then couldn't get their attention for another 20 minutes. I had the beef lunchbox, which tasted nice (other than the soup) but was really nothing special. Suspect it was quite msg heavy from the taste that then followed me around all afternoon. Perhaps Korean food aficiniados would like it but Oxford has far better Asian restaurants en-masse.

Ordered vegetarian for my colleague explicitly, only to be served a meat dish. He ate it unknowingly and only realised half way through it contained pork. Complained only to be met by an aggressive waiter who verbally assaulted us for payment of the meal and ORDERED us to sit down. When other proprietors engaged on our behalf, they refused to tone it down, much to the customers surprise.

I have to thoroughly commend the food at Bamboo, which has never disappointed. The staff, too, are very kind, punctual and attentive. One time, for example, I was struggling with the chopsticks (I am not good with chopsticks) and a staff member offered me a knife and fork in a way that did not make me feel judged despite my almost comically inept chopstick use. I highly recommend this restaurant. The one negative is I was hoping for a 100% Korean experience, but the staff seem to be 100% Chinese. Still, short of going to Korea you would be hard pressed to experience Korean food of this calibre. Also - do not drink a bottle of Soju by yourself!

We chose to dine at Bamboo as we developed a love of Korean food dining at the excellent but sadly no longer with us Shilla in Edinburgh. Bamboo is a very large restaurant, and we were surprised to find it quite busy despite the slightly out of the way location. The menu is really difficult to decipher- it jumps between starters to stews to lunch specials to BBQ- and it's not really obvious which section you are in. We ordered pork and chicken bulgogi- one was in the BBQ section and one in a different section but they both came on sizzling plates and were both bulgogi- no idea why they were in different sections! As well as being tricky to follow, the menus were tired and dirty. They had pictures of the dishes, but sometimes these pictures were of the un-cooked meat- not useful when choosing what to eat!! The staff were helpful and talked us through the menu, but I imagine it would be even more confusing to someone who is new to Korean food and has no idea what they want.As well as the two bulgogi dishes we had fried dumplings which were super yummy and perfectley cooked, and the beef and seaweed soup which was nice and flavourful. Both bulgogi dishes were also good- but not as good as our previous experience in Shilla. The portions were generous though and we left nicely full! I can't judge on authenticity as we've never visited Korea, but the food seemed quite consistent with our other Korean dining experiences in the UK. For two of us, two starters, two mains, two sides of rice and one soft drink came to £32- which we felt was reasonable. We'd definatley return to Bamboo if in Oxford- if only because there's nowhere else in the area to get our Korean food kick!

Visited on a Friday night with my husband. We were staying in the Royal Oxford hotel (above the restaurant) They advertised a 3 courses for £14.99 menu in the hotel room so naturally we thought that if a half decent hotel recommends their food then maybe we should eat there. We ordered one 3 course meal to share (at the recommendation of the waiter who seemed to know the menu but seemed a bit pessimistic about everything) plus one dish from the menu. Now my husband and I are not fussy eaters but It was a good thing we only had one between us because It was horrendous! We got all of the courses delivered to our table at once.Where do I even start? The Lamb skewer- tasteless chewy (tiny) pieces of meat on a skewer. We had some soup not sure if it was the beef soup or the vegetable soup but it tasted like cat biscuits, couldn't eat it, it was horrid. The beef salad- really cold and wet, tasted like it was prepared a week ago and stored in the fridge since, couldn't eat it. Chicken with chilli sauce and rice the chicken was inedible, I wasn't even sure if it was chicken it was so fatty with barely no edible meat at all. so disappointing. The one-pot meal with rice vegetables and fried egg on top tasted like something you would dig up from your garden! I couldn't even swallow it. We tried the ginseng tea, and I swear it could have been dish water! ...The mango juice was nice but we left hungry. On our exit we noticed that this restaurant was joined to the hotel's breakfast room so they must be part of the same company! (Which would explain the recommendation) I'm so glad we didn't decide to add breakfast to our stay!

It's a great idea to open a Korean restaurant in Oxford, and I had high expectations as a Korean myself. This place is actually run by Korean- Chinese people, and doesn't have the Korean vibe I'm used to in the restaurant decor or the food. The dish I enjoyed most was ironically Jjajang-myun which originates from China. The other Korean dishes I ordered were average and not particularly authentic. However service was fast and I've yet to try the lunch menu which seem more comprehensive so will give it another go in the future.

The restaurant had plenty of tables, the place was spacious and there were quite a few Korean visitors eating there, which we took to be a good sign. The menu is extensive, the staff were very helpful with explaining the miriad of available dishes together with any allergy information. The service was excellent! Our meals arrived very quickly, they were beautifully presented and so delicious! Portions were generous, lunchtime and evening meal options available and the prices were reasonable as well.I will definately be visiting there gain, as there as so many interesting and tempting dishes I'd like to try. Food is good, staff are friendly and the toilets are very clean. Only complaint is the restriction on some dishes to lunch only so i could not order the bibimbap (비빔밥) and thus the price of my meal went up drastically. Some items on the menu are very overpriced if you go in the evening but the side dishes (반찬) were free and delicious. Overall recommend if you like Korean food but go for lunch if you would like the well known Korean dishes or are on a budget.

I'm a big Korean foods fan and I haven't been able to find an authentic one, the one that didn't alter their food to British taste, for a long time. I ordered the Kimchi stew served with rice..which was amazingly delicious. Pork ribs are melting in my mouth and it's a good portion too. Couldn't care for service that much, it's just normal service but the food make me feel like I'm back in Asia. Two thumbs up

Friendly staff, good grub and not too highly priced, the Bamboo is an excellent addition to local places to eat. It's always a principle of mine to inspect the toilets of a place I'm eating at, and the Bamboo is scrupulously clean. Service is fast - my only criticism is that there are items on the lunch menu that can't be had in the evening. Oh and give the lovely waiter Giorgio a rise.

The restaurant has a nice and varied selection of Korean dishes. The dishes are not as spicy as one would have them in Korea, but that makes the food edible for Europeans. A somewhat negative thing is that the standard cooking at the table for some dishes is missing, and all dishes are cooked in the kitchen. A negative point was that the main courses were not brought simultaneously. The dishes are not great, and certainly in other countries you find much better Korean restaurants, but generally these tend to be more upmarket and expensive as well. Certainly the lunch deals are good value, and as stated earlier, some of the more popular Korean dishes one can only order for lunch. At least some of the staff speaks Korean.

First of all about the looks of the place. What i didn't like is seeing chairs randomly piled up through the window, i understand it's staff area but it makes it look not so nice. The place itself inside looks lovely. They got large mirrors on the walls to make the place appaer to be much bigger than it actually is which i consider a big plus. The chairs and tables got a few scratches but aside from that i find them very nice.Once i entered there were 3-4 staff sitting at a table talking, they greeted us and showed us the way to a table for 2.The ones who served us where a short bald guy and a lady dressed in red, very nice people that also moved very fast across all tables to serve everyone.I ordered some seaweed beef soup which many might find weird and too strange to enjoy, but i liked the taste of it. Simple yet nice. Then we got a beef hot pot with vegetables on the top. Didn't fancy the meat much, it looked like minced meat with a bit of red food coloring on the top. The taste was good due to the vegetables.Side dishes like chestnut jelly and beansprouts with a bit of carrot and cabbage were free and you could get a refill as often as you wanted, The vegetable stock which they called soup was also refilled for free, but after a bowl of soup and the initial veg stock we really didn't need any more. The desert menu was consisting of 8 items total. About 6 were ice creams / sorbets, the other two were tiramisu and "chocolate bomb". There were no korean deserts which is very disapointing considering we went there to try out korean food.Won't order deserts there ever again unless they will rework their desert menu, it's just unappealing.I've seen better korean restaurants, but i liked the atmosphere and the service here a lot, so i guess i will go back sometime. However what i strongly recommend is to go there for lunch time as some of the nice dishes you would want to eat are only available during lunch time or from monday to friday.

Visited on Valentines day as a couple and couldn't be more impressed. Neither of us have had Korean food before, so initially we were a little list when looking at the menu. Fortunately a incredibly helpful waiter arrived, explained the food and gave us some recommendations. I don't think I've ever met a waiter so enthused by the food he was describing to us, and he seemed genuinely delighted when we followed his advice! The food was served promptly and was as delicious as the waiter had promised, particularly the fried beef and pork. I have no idea if this was genuine Korean fare, but it was fantastic so I don't mind either way! I think I can safely speak for both of us by recommending The Bamboo, and we are sure to return.

Tried my first "Korean" restaurant yesterday with my family . The menu is very varied and the service was ok . Try and avoid being put into the private dining room as it lacks the atmosphere of the main restaurant . The food was different although I cannot tell how authentic it is as we were told there was no Koreans working there ....tried the pancakes which were very nice but the kimchi and glutinous appetisers were not ... Some of drinks were interesting .... Aloe Vera juice and a persimmon tea were with a try One word of warning it starts to get expensive when you start adding dishes .

We came as a work group for birthday meal and very much enjoyed the lunch we had. We chose a number of dishes from the set lunch pricing and shared amongst the 6 of us. There was a sort of shredded spring onion dish which was lovely, I'm told the prawns were very nice, they looked large enough. The pork ribs were lovely, not mean or sinewy and not too salty, the deep fried chilli chicken went before you could grab a decent bowl full of it, it was my birthday so I was given the last bit to avoid a tantrum! The kimchi was nice and you can't have Korean without kimchi it was uncomplicated, not too sharp and I think that's good for those who are less familiar with Korean cooking and might assume it's like Chinese, it isn't, leave that thought at the door of any Korean restaurant. You don't have the MSG and that makes a massive difference both before and after the meal. The only negative I can think of was that all the dishes were not brought out at the same time, the thinking perhaps partly being that we could't eat all at once and there would be more space on the table but it meant the lettuce was brought out after the beef it was meant to accompany which was a shame but certainly did not detract from what was a nice meal in a setting that allowed us to enjoy ourselves. Everything was eaten without exception and one of my colleagues said he'd be bringing his family the following weekend as a result.

Ordered Fried Prawns which were so oily & had a strange taste as though the oil was dirty. Meat tasted dry & not fresh. The only dish we had that was OK were the dumplings which also could have done with draining the oil off first. For a couple;2 starters, 3 dishes & rice between us, 1 tea & 1 Beer = £53We left feeling disappointed & I felt quite queasy from the food as my partner did later on in the evening. Firstly, it goes without saying... if you don't love Asian/Korean food - go elsewhere!I am a huge fan of Chinese food particularly, and have tried Korean food on occasions but never liked it as much as Bamboo in Oxford. This restaurant is exceptional - each dish better than any single Korean dish I have tried elsewhere, and on a par with the best Chinese dishes I've tried in China.Everything was made to perfection with a rich taste far beyond what I expected. The following are essential:- deep fried aubergine- stir fried bean sprouts- marinated beef skewers- PANCAKES!!!Much to the amusement of my girlfriend's Chinese family, I also ordered a sweet and sour chicken dish, being a Irish of course. It arrived and had everyone hooked.Service was very friendly also and personally I really liked the decor.VISIT THIS PLACE!

Have just stayed in Oxford for three days, and was really surprised at the quality of food available. We ate in My Sichuan on the first evening (some dishes really excellent, some less so - we were very happy anyway). Bamboo was even better. We ordered lots, from bbq razor clams and catfish stew to kimchi pork and bbq pork belly. Every single dish was really excellent. With a range of sidedishes (radish kimchi, chilli & garlic etc) and good barley tea, this felt like a feast: the number of different flavours on the table was fantastic. Given that a few reviews mention slow service we were pleasantly surprised to find everything very quick indeed and the service exceptionally friendly and professional. This couldn't really have been much better. (the only down side for us is that we live in Birmingham, and this was a very sad reminder of just how poor our own city's food is).

This restaurant now takes up much of the ground floor of The Royal Oxford Hotel. I first had Korean food in a restaurant in Pusan in 1974 with 4 other travellers and a Korean friend treating us to the 'real thing', it was too hot and spicy for me then and it is, I found out, too fiery for my taste now. I should have learnt the first time you could say. I think the food was authentic, the service fine but the type of food is not for me although the hot pot was ok. If you like hot spicy food this could be just the place for you, it was pretty crowded when we were there so it is popular.

So I've been very excited to actually go to this resturant, the reviews online was mixed so didn't really know what to expect. When we first walked in we were greeted by a waiter and he showed us to our seats (we didn't book an reservation). There weren't a great deal of people inside and the atmoshpere was average. On our table there was some cutlery missing so we just used the ones on the empty table next to us which was what the waiter did aswell. We were then given menus and time to decide on what to order (which must have been atleast 10 min) before the waiter came to take our order (the waiter was clearly able to speak good english, so discard what the previous reviews said that only the manager could take orders as this is not true)The Food came on after 15-20 mins which seem like ages as we watch in torment as the other table's food had arrived while in the background Kpop music was playing which was a bonus. We had kimchi pancake (which I recommend deeply), tteokbokki, bibimbab, LA gal bigui lunch box. Overall the food was satisfying the beef was really chewy and hard but apart from that everything was great. The price came down to about £12 each (with drinks) for the four of us, it's was pretty good value for the amount we eat. If you haven't been here then I would recommend it, as it's a worth while visit.
