I go there for tai chi, the rooms are lovely, each one different and each one has it's own charms, even the little room. I'd definitely recommend hiring from the appleyard and could really see it being amazing for hosting wedding parties and stuff.

The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is always clean and the products are always displayed neatly ìn the restaurant. The restaurant has a very good atmosphere.

The venue was unexpectedly new, with the bar being quite modern. I was served by a lovely woman called Charlotte who was manning the entire restaurant and bar herself. Despite how difficult it was for her to cover an entire restaurant and bar, she did it while still being polite and friendly. The food was good, and the atmosphere was nice. However the apple photos on the wall are a bit off-putting. However, I would recommend this place and I would come again, but I would feel bad if that lovely woman was working hard by herself yet again.

I visited The Appleyard a few days ago with family and a friend and was very impressed with the whole experience. The staff at both locations were welcoming, polite and helpful. We had a delicious meal before going on to the Sports Bar for some lively entertainment from the Billy BE Band, which had people singing along to the songs they knew of yesteryear. One of our party was in a wheelchair and a staff member assisted, getting the wheelchair to the table and back out again when we left. We couldn't fault The Appleyard and will certainly return there soon.

We were a group of 4 out for a pre birthday celebration. Our tribute evening started off with a delicious set menu. Service was very quick and efficient. Great seats and a great time singing and dancing along with the Jersey Boy tribute act. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you 😀

We celebrated a significant birthday with a meal for us and 8 friends in a private room. We had a bespoke menu which was creative and delicious, everyone commented about how much they enjoyed the food. The service was spot on and everyone had an amazing evening, it could not have been better. Thank you to everyone involved in making it an evening to remember.

A nice, comfortable, chilled out place near Albany Park. It's usually pretty quiet during the day, but the evenings can get more lively with different events and entertainment in the main hall. There is nice food and drink on offer which is reasonably priced and it is also nicely decorated. You can also hire out parts of the building for your own parties and celebrations. There are also a few parking spaces available around the outside of the building and disabled access.

Sunday dinner was basic and they ran out of items (carrots, cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire puddings), but still expected you to settle for what they had left and still pay full price. No imagination over menu. Nice enough place hence the two stars.

A lovely place. I simply don't understand why it is so quiet. The restaurant and bar are very comfortable and the service is much better than good. There is a membership fee which is a bargain if you visit more than two or three times a year because members receive a discount on food and drinks. There is also plenty of free parking.

Brilliant Party night. Food excellent. Service superb DJ got things going and played the right Music. All in all a superb night had by all 13 people in our party.. Food has always been hot, tasty and served promptly by the wonderful staff who are attentive and nothing is too much to ask. They always serve with a smile and are willing to share a little of their time with each and every patron of the establishment. Highly recommend.

Great for a nice Sunday roast,you haven't had to cook yourself and no washing up. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Definitely recommend a visit with free parking for visitors.

We really love the Appleyard, good food, well priced and accommodating, friendly staff. Our only comment is on the few times we have been here is the music...loud for a dining experience! Turn those speakers down guys...they are louder than you think when your sitting near them trying to have a conversation.

Food is OK. Manager is rather rude though, I take a bottle of water with me as I have to take pills before every meal and he snatched it off the table! It was water! Not customer friendly not for me anyway.

My experience because I'm not disabled in the way that I'm I'm in a wheelchair but the downstairs toilet is very difficult to manoeuvre to open the door or put my wheelchair inside lock the door and turn myself around and get out again it's not suitable for a disabled wheelchair user and can't go up to the upstairs toilet because there's no lift it should be more accommodating and made bigger it's alright if you haven't got a wheelchair are but it's very difficult if you got one leg because usable and you can't walk and it's not the person in the wheelchair that's complaining is other people and watch it happening

I have eaten here a few times now and this place is superb value. Nice ambience in the restaurant, we received friendly service and good quality food at an exceptionally good price. Highly recommended for a good value meal out. I highly recommend The Sunday carvery with the cheapest beer around.

Had a lovely meal here. Good home made food, fantastic value and really friendly atmosphere. Great for children too, lots of space. Would love to visit when we are back again in the Summer to see all the lovely trees.

All the ladies were really lovely and helpful on the day. I wasn’t really sure what to expect for the room and how it would be laid out, well I couldn’t believe how lovely it was. Little twinkly lights, lovely atmosphere room. The option to play music via Bluetooth. The table was pretty with little flower arrangements. Honestly; I couldn’t be more thankful and delighted with the day. Thank you so much to everyone involved, from booking to the day, everything was easy and everyone was so helpful. Thank you. I’ll whole heartedly recommend The Appleyard in Sittingbourne. Went there for work Christmas Doo and my best Friend 40th birthday party celebrations. Venue ( function room & toilets ) is very clean, different selections of delicious Buffett, brilliant DJ, lovely bar, great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Going to book my husband 50th birthday 🎉 bash next year with them. It’s so convenient to get to locally near Albany park & Sainaburys. They also do life music / gigs in the weekends. Really lovely staff - so friendly and welcoming. Well cooked homely dishes and a great carvery. Recently had to cancel a birthday meal due to illness and the staff were so understanding and concerned. We’ll continue to be regulars!

Had a lovely roast here today with my family. The potatoes and yorkshires were particularly good. Staff were friendly and helpful. As it's a carvery we didn't have to wait long at all. Puddings were tasty. Look forward to returning.

Always find the Appleyard a very comfortable, friendly place to go. Just went there with the family for a drink. Hadn't booked, but the staff were able to accommodate us by putting their tables together. Quite crowded as it was Father's day, and they had roast dinners on the go.

After a very stressful week myself and my husband treated ourselves to a meal at the Appleyard in Sittingbourne. Venue was easy to get to. Plenty of parking. We were greeted in a lovely manner. Very friendly staff. Seats were comfortable and the decor was pleasing to the eye. The meal was tasty and was homemade. The manager Michael Woodhouse has clearly helped make some big improvements. The food is better, and there has been a substantial improvement since we went last.

The restaurant environment was rather bare save for a prominently placed scratch-card machine. I guess some people like a scratch-card with their lunch, but it seemed a bit tacky to me. The food was rather overpriced, basic and dry, with the least amount of thought given to it. The "Ultimate Vegan Burger served with all the trimmings" was a basic dry burger in a bun with zero trimmings, no relish, no vegan cheese, no gherkins or anything else. A strange definition of 'ultimate' and 'trimmings'. Even McDonald's offer a far superior vegan burger with a load of trimmings at half the price. Ultimate - LOL! On the plus side, the table service was fairly good.

Without doubt one of the worst meals I have ever eaten. A "succulent burger with all the trimmings" turned out to be a dried out piece of old shoe with a limp lettuce leaf. The desserts were obviously from a bog-standard catering pack. Yuck. I cannot believe how over -sold and over-priced the menu is. When money is tight, and you go out to eat as a treat, and you end up with THIS, it is beyond disappointing. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, which is the only area I can find a positive. One can only imagine the complaints she must have to deal with! I would not return here if you paid me. Absolute crap.

Disorganised, not very friendly and bar staff were so slow. We went for a comedy night and it simply wasn't funny. They oversold the tickets so we had to be put at the back on bar seats. The stench of the place was vile as the drains kept kicking up. The 90's style from women hating, man hating and self depreciation comedy was dire, we left early. The guy with glasses behind the bar was sweet, but the older couple having pops at each other and calling out to 'get rid of them' when talking about their patrons they didn't organise well enough for, need a lesson in manners. Won't be returning!

Joined slimming world held here, I was made to feel so welcomed and comfortable, from the minute I walked in to the minute I left, its taken me a long time to join slimming world and can't explain how comfortable I was made to feel. We got married here in September 2021 using the £2000 wedding package and it was absolutely amazing. Everything we wanted it to be. Everything was decorated exactly the way we had asked and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The ceremony was perfect with staff on hand for any last minute issues or changes. The food for the wedding breakfast was absolutely spot on. All the guests commented on how lovely it was. The buffet was also delicious with far more food then we could eat and the cake was cut up and displayed perfectly. Also had the sweet cart which was yummy. The DJ was very nice and played all the music that we had arranged beforehand as well as other songs and by the end everyone was up dancing. The day and the evening were wonderful and its not something I will forget in a hurry. The staff were friendly and very quick at serving drinks and food. There are only 2 things I would say could do with some improvement (that's not to say it ruined the day in any way but maybe a thought for future weddings) the music that I had arranged to play whilst walking down the Isle and at the end of the ceremony had to be put onto a memory stick and on the day it didn't play in the order I wanted so maybe staff could come up with a way to make playing music easier. Also the place where photos are taken could use a bit of sprucing up maybe a nice background or some flowers as at the moment it's just bushes. However neither of these things effected the day and everyone had a brilliant time. Would definitely recommend for any event or even just for food !!! Massive shout out to Claire who was on hand throughout the evening and checked in with me multiple times to make sure everything was OK. Thank you

Arrived and shown into the dining room which was freezing!! Food was less than inspiring. 5 very thin slices of melon as a starter!! Main courses served then dishes of vegetables arrived 10 minutes after when most had finished their main meal!! All in all a very very poor standard.

Appleyard Sports Pavilion for my fathers wake. It was a lovely setting spread out a lovely bar and great food buffet that they supplied and bar staff was fantastic I would totally recommend this place very professional which made our setting perfect

Spent 6 hours at a first aid course freezing, cold water in toilets washing hands and the option of no hand towels with a cold air hand dryer. The radiators were like warm.

Shout out to Mike, Claire and Sarah for making the entire day come together from beginning to end. We haven't been the most easiest to accommodate for, last minute changes and last minute stress but at every turn we have had support that went above and beyond. The service room was organised beautifully, the welcome drinks were prompt and handed around, all staff had welcoming smiles, and the venue room - Wow, it looked incredible. From arriving to an empty room to drop off to then returning and seeing it cleaned and dressed to perfection was excellent. You could really see the staff had gone all out to make sure it looked as good as it did. The food was excellent, three courses all served fresh and hot per table, generous portions given for each course. It really was lovely. The buffet was lush, again, so much food to offer and the cake was cut for guests and displayed on a platter alongside the buffet. Bar staff were incredible, smiley chatty and no one was left waiting to long. All in all, I cannot fault one part of the day. It was delivered beautifully and the end result couldn't have been achieved without the wonderful staff at the Appleyard! Personal thanks to Mike from me, for making sure I was happy with how things were running throughout. I appreciate all the help and support. I didn't actually manage to get any photos, but I think Sarah did - hopefully she is able to post a few. Venue had been booked for weeks. We over ran and yet they were still ridiculously late with lunch and only two staff serving nearly 100 people. Such a shame - last time we went it was brilliant. Fingers crossed it was a one off Bad Day!

Went to watch some live music,we had booked a meal first in the appleyard restaurant, very nice ,great valued menu.we both had the roast beef Sunday lunch which was pretty good .We watched the music later in the rear room which has a very nice comfortable bar. Great wait staff and service in both areas.Well done.
