The landlord is rude and accusatory, not great. Lived in Wimbledon my whole life and won’t be going back.

Don’t accept dogs on the upstairs terrace - you’re a pub, not a restaurant. First time in my life I’ve come across a pub that doesn’t accept dogs. Especially it being Surrey.

Great service and food. See you in a couple of weeks.

The service in this cafeteria is pleasing. Even for this, it's worth coming here to compare with other cafes, to feel like an important person. In addition, you can have a delicious and satisfying meal here, even in the morning, even in the evening.

Delicious food, I had the lentil & feta with warm salad. My husband had the steak, which was perfectly cooked "medium rare" Our Aunt had the individual quiche which she said was delicious & perfectly sized, as she has a small appetite. Good portion sizes & the staff were very pleasant. Would definitely go again.

This pub has absolutley everyting, back dinning room (DJ at night Friday/Saturday), front main pub, upstairs rooptop bar and terrance, superb food, amazing staff probably one of the best pubs in London

Really nice pub, good service especially the young lady who showed us to our table. Food was lovely, nice feel and atmosphere. We will return. It's also dog-friendly. We had a family gathering there and it was great.

Busy pub, lots of choice, good atmosphere. Burgers looked bootiful..

Sorry but the food has taken a turn for the worse. Burger was very good but the Sunday pork belly roast tasted like someone dumped an entire salt shaker on it and the yorkshire were over cooked. The bevette steak was just ok. Nothing on it (maybe add some pepper at least?) and no side sauce. Just butter on top. Not worth the £22.50!

Can be busy, but has an outside area which is great in warmer weather.

Popped in for a lunch bite. Being a Young's pub, the selection of beers, wines & spirits is commendably good. The Alex Burger is meaty and stacked with flavour with excellent crispy chips on the side. A pub with soul and a landlord with heart.

We had booked a place for lunch, but not sure why we given a table at the bar. Not a problem with that either, but we had to get up and place an order at the bar every time we needed something. Roast was brilliant, Very tasty, I did not like the apple crumble did not have the crumbly base.

Always a warm welcome from the friendly staff. Quiz night is always great fun.

Loved the atmosphere and experience at the pub. The customer service from all the very attentive staff was really good. We were very impressed. The only thing was about the roasts which were average. There was nothing too amazing about them. Maybe I’m just picky but there definitely not enough gravy so I ordered extra, there was average amount of trimmings (again nothing exciting about them), the roast beef was cut and cooked beautifully but it was served with so much fat per slice and tasted average. The roasts were nothing to rave about if I’m being honest. If you’re looking for just a really really nice friendly staffed pub with a great atmosphere then for sure head on down - just don’t be disappointed with the average roasts.

I like this pub and staff are very friendly and welcoming. On my last visit my red wine didn't taste right and they changed it without question. I go a few times a month and it nice in the summer as you can sit outside in the courtyard. I've not eaten here so cannot comment on their food.

This pub pumps, very busy on a Friday evening. Enjoyed a pint of Wimbledon Copper Leaf or three.

We enjoyed a Sunday roast here alongside some IPA’s. Lovely selection of drinks first and foremost. Sometimes having a roast later in the day (say 6pm) is a no-go because lots of pubs leave the food pre-prepared and the elements dry out. However, that wasn’t a problem here. Each element of the roast was fresh and tasty. The meat tender and the roasties crispy (a rare find in a pub!). We enjoyed our few hours here- the atmosphere was calm and relaxed and everyone was friendly!

Friend service and break food. My favourite for a Sunday dessert crumble treat

dropped in last minute needing an Espresso Martini. had to high-five the barman as it was exceptional!

Fantastic roast beef dinner. Was hot, fresh and very very tasty! Roast potatoes were also top tier crispy roasties!

I love visiting the loft in summer and booked an indoor table on Friday night. Really great venue, very friendly staff and very crisp fish and chips (just the way I like them). Would visit again.

Always consistent. Good food and good beer. A bit pricey, but then this is Wimbledon. Extremely well run.

Enjoyable but expensive but all pubs are especially down south

First time, me and my daughter had lunch in The Alexandra. I was impress with the food, we both order Rump steak, with wine and surprise surprise the steak was so tender and juicy..we will recommend this Pub to our family and friend. Oh Mick the landlord was there ..and see that we been look after which is nice.

Once we ordered our food and drinks via their app our drinks came very quickly then our food. We couldn’t believe how the service was very quick in a pub even if in a rush hour. The ambiance, food and everything was great! My fav in my local area💙

Really nice pub! I hadn't been there before and it is a bit far from where I would normally look for a good pub but the Alexandra turned out to be great. The staff were brilliant, the drinks were good and the food was outstanding!

A cozy pub with good food and drink. Standard Young's menu but done well. +1 for their Christmas tradition of hosting those with nowhere to go on Christmas.

Amazing food. Full of flavours, perfectly cooked. The best roast dinner we’ve had in Wimbledon. Place is very busy but atmosphere is still very friendly and kind of relaxed. Service is amazing. We felt really well looked after. It was our third time to have the roast in this place and I’m sure we will be coming back.

Great bar staff, great guiness, great atmosphere. Food a bit hit & miss (had a great burger one week, not so good a few weeks later same goes for the sausage sandwich brunch option).

Larisa was amazing both with confirming the booking & her personal service on the day. Her attentiveness to our needs, ensuring we all got what we ordered, the service & quality of the the drinks & food was 5 🌟. As a group of 11, she was not fazed in the slightest & made sure we had a most enjoyable experience.

Pork belly Sunday roast was delicious, but my pork belly had too much fat and less meat. There was little portion of vegetables, too. Staff are kind. I'd like to visit again.

I visited The Alexandra today Christmas Day for lunch, didn't relish staying at home on my own. Was totally made to feel welcome, got talking to lots of people, will deffo go again in 2024. Must admit to being a tad apprehensive, but those feelings were very soon blown away....... thank you 😊

Thank you to landlord, Mick and landlady, Sarah plus all the volunteers, organizations and businesses that contributed to put on such a special Christmas Day 🎄. Opening up your beautiful, homely and comfortable pub to serve people delicious homemade food, tasty beverages, delicious deserts and to get card and a present touched my heart and helped me immensely during a very difficult time of year. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming 🎅🏻. I didn’t feel any awkwardness or embarrassment or worse for me, pity. Felt jovial and relaxed. Was sitting with a lovely bunch of people and we all got on so well. It brought tears to my eyes when l read about what The Alex was doing. I will always remember this day and am grateful from the bottom of my heart ⭐️. A million thanks.

This place is a one stop shop with its restaurants, bars and it's awesome summer roof garden.

Visited many times with friends, but decided to bring the kids along early evening after being out in London during the day and was delighted with the service/food.

We had our Christmas drinks party here and we had a brilliant time and the service was excellent

Visited the Alex with my partner for our annual Xmas fish n chips lunch. Excellent food washed down with a decent bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Finished off with a quality Apple, Pear, and Fig Crumble! A shout out for the friendly service and freshly delivered Haddock!

Johnny saved me. I lost something important, he remembered me and the next time I was in went out of his way to make sure I got it back. He has always been one of the most consistently personable and friendly staff since I have been coming here the last 8 years. Always fantastic service. Absolute legend and as a regular one of my favorite staff here.Always says Hello and very friendly, and I am hoping I am not the only that shares that with whomever reads this.

great lunch for 14 friends, The Alexandra set our table beautifully for the festive season Friendsmas. Relaxed atmosphere, welcoming warm pub, no loud music so we could chat to each other. Very good Sunday menu, everything was cooked well and was served at the same time to all guests at the table. We all enjoyed ourselves, great service from staff

Had a wonderful cosy afternoon with my old friend who had flown from Mauritius to catch up, everything was perfect a uplifting place to be with it's open fires and perfect decor staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble a very relaxed experience.

Love the Alex but this time we were disappointed. We waited 90 minutes for our main course despite alerting staff. They weren’t even that busy

Popped in for drinks after coming back from London. Our dog was allowed in too. Bowl of water and biscuits served up for the dog. Very nice time had by all.

Pre ordered our Christmas food as we was a big party. It was very easy to do online! Everything came out promptly and correct! Everyone was quite happy with their food and everything tasted great. The roast potatoes were just a little on the dry side. Our waitress Kira was FANTASTIC! She was great with us and the babies! I would return here for food and drinks!

The most entertaining quiz nights I have ever encountered. Every Monday. It's free to enter, the larger than life landlord makes it a very amusing evening, with his Yorkshire humour, mind bending quiz questions (don't worry, they start off really easy in the first round, getting progressively harder until the dreaded wipeout round!!) And his occasional gaffs! But save some energy for the final round, the music round, where he attempts, hillariously, to sing 10 tunes and you have to guess, from his tuneless warbling, what the songs are. There are great prizes to be won and on top of that, great food to be had. If you only do one thing, make it a night at the Alex. But be warned, book early, it's incredibly popular!

Sarah was amazing from the moment I first contacted the pub about holding it there, and gave me fantastic suggestions and ideas. The prices were extremely reasonable and she was so accommodating to all my requests (including the appearance and performance of a birthday bagpiper for my Scottish father!). We had a reserved area with plenty of seating and the food and drinks were laid out and ready for us on arrival. The service on the night was amazing and Sarah's team (special shout out to Will and Anna who were both brilliant) were always on hand to help with any requests. The atmosphere was wonderful - lovely and Christmassy, and really jolly! My parents and their friends had a wonderful evening and I know they'll be talking about it for a long time. I'm quite sure we'll be back to celebrate our next big birthdays at the Alex! I can't thank you all enough for helping make the evening so very special - wonderful wonderful service all round. Thank you!

I’m a regular customer there I have been always find them very racist and talking bad about me apart of some stuff they were good but the rest is rubbish obviously is heart breaking

Overall very average, got seated, no one told us where or How to order. Went to the bar to Order, ordered a special, sorry haven’t got that he says no one has updated the specials board! Starter arrived, Camembert, now normally this would come with some lovely crusty bread, errr no, soggy bread and pitta!!! 🙄 We then waited 45/50 minutes for our main course, then arrived after asking with No apology or anything. Food to be fair was good but by then we’d got pretty Bored of waiting! £150 for lunch and they can definitely do very much better.

Emma is a babe she was so good to us all night and deserves a raise! Helped us out with a clothing crisis and was just so lovely

Enjoyable reunion of work colleagues in the bar on Wednesday lunchtime.

Superb experience from the moment we walked in to the time we left. The table service by Kyle, Emma and Larisa was top notch - friendly and very customer-focused. The food was excellent - the ‘ child meal’ my 9 year old granddaughter had came in for very fulsome praise too. Will definitely return!

50 of us celebrated our annual Pre-Christmas get-together with drinks and a buffet at The Alex and had a fantastic time. The team was so attentive and ensured the party went smoothly. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We'll be back!

Of all the Sunday Roasts we've had in the last year, this was, without doubt, the worst. The roast potatoes were good; however, the minuscule portion of lamb was okay - at least it was warm, the Yorkshire was cold, the tablespoon of diced vegetables were cold. Total waste of money. Never again.

Cracking pub. Booked a table in front of the projector screen for the lunch time kickoff before heading off to an AFC Wimbledon game. Great food, great selection of beers, great atmosphere on a matchday. Booking advised of you want a table, it does get busy.

Another nice afternoon spent at the Alex. for our works reunion. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even though they were extremely busy our food came to the table at the time we pre-ordered it for and was delicious.

A party of 10 had a fab time and would recommend it. The staff were lovely and the cocktails looked lush although we didn’t try any. A real Christmassy feel!

Where can I send that organised pub special lead at this from the young's family. The pigs in blanket was also good and there are lots of tables to sit especially at the back as the front part is more like a sports pub. My only gripe is that they had a very limited ale selection of 3 on tap only which doesn't really going with the times but again this is leafy suburbs not craft beer heaven.

Loved our Sunday lunch at the Alexandra! Cosy, family friendly set up which was great for the kids and food was amazing - highly recommend the beef roast! Staff were great and made us feel very welcome and looked after.

Lovely pub close to the station, warm and inviting and will have a variety of sports on throughout the day, can get busy over the weekend but show me a decent pub that doesn't. Also has a great rooftop bar and restaurant, easy to get drinks and a table but worth booking in advance as it is popular. A regular for me throughout my time in London.

We had a fantastic Sunday roast yesterday. I went for the special with Lamb, Pork and Beef. Wow, I'm still full today! The children's roasts were fantastic too. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, nothing was too much. Thanks! x

Absolutely love this pub. We live miles away, but well worth the extra effort to get there. Big group of us went today including kids, all very well looked after. Staff always go above and beyond (my 2 year old daughter today "I love Nobby", the absolute hero who served us), great options on food and drinks, hands down the best roast going, lively atmosphere, what else could you want from a pub?
