So used to frequent this pub a lot and back in area so thought a lazy bank holiday afternoon on the river with my sister would be just the job. We were seated at our table to be told 2 mins later we were at the wrong table and asked to move. Said table remained empty for the rest of the afternoon. We ordered drinks and food. The starters were ok but nothing special Mushrooms just a few and squid which was just average. Our main course was chicken - ok and pork belly - very difficult to cut right through the slow cooked meat . During our meal out drinks ran out and no attempt was made to ask if we wanted more - a missed opportunity Also we sitting next to water/sauces fridge which was constantly left open with a waiter also smashing a glass next to us. They cleared the table but again no attempt to ask us if we wanted more . We eventually got the waiter’s attention and ordered more drinks and dessert. My sister’s Apple tart was great but I ordered the cheese and biscuits 3 of the tiniest bits of cheese the chutney took up more space on the plate all in all a very disappointing visit and sadly will not be visiting again.

We sat outside and ordered two beef roasts and burger and chips. The burger came out with no cutlery, we did ask for some but continued to wait so I went and asked and finally got and had to ask for sauce. Our roasts came out and they were cold and the beef was dry with under cooked carrots and parsnips. Not very impressed with the service or the food and will not be returning for food again. Shame as it is a lovely location with plenty of out side seating.

The location is fantastic with views overlooking The Thames. It’s easy to park and the food is good. However, we were not entirely happy with the service. The music was loud so we asked if it could possibly be turned down. Apparently not until we asked to speak to the manager who was happy to comply with our request. We then waited ages for our food and had to chase it up twice. To be fair it was very nice once it arrived so no complaints there. Then the heavens opened up so we had to move inside. The same waiter told us there was no room inside except the bar stools. Unfortunately one of our party has a disability so this was not an option. Again the manager came to the rescue and seated us at a table in the restaurant with no problem or fuss. It’s unfortunate that one member of staff was incredibly unhelpful but the manager was excellent and the food was good so we didn’t have a totally negative experience.

Well done, fantastic experience, from the warm welcome to the end, the location near the river is a surplus for the lovely atmosphere, food superb, squid and scallops cooked perfectly and the pork belly was delicious, the dessert are a gem. Thanks Albany we will come back soon

A beautiful pub located right on the Thames. Absolutely fantastic waitresses and a special mention to Max, the manager who has been very hospitable, kind and generous. Fantastic food (the pork belly & scallops are a must), great selection of alcoholic beverages, variety of children’s meals, lovely views outside where you can eat & drink. I certainly will be a regular there! Thank you again.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Albany today. Great choice on the menu, and the food we had was delicious. The service was very friendly and efficient. We sat at a table with a lovely view of the river. We’ll be back soon! Thank you.

Food was okay nothing special, the service was awful. Service was terrible, had to ask person serving drinks if we could have starter and then waited 20mins for a desert menu and gave up and asked for the bill. Watched staff having a cosy chat whilst we were left waiting.

Just 2 of us nice and warm on a freezing eve minus 2. Nice friendly staff. We had the same starters Lovey soup and followed by belly pork 1 with 2 scallops and 1 without 4 pounds difference. Very tasty. Too full to have a sweet. £3,80 for a bottle of rose lemonade a think a bit expensive.

Stunning Lunch! Ive eaten here for past 26 years Best meal to date I asked to soeak to the Chef to thank him .. I have severe allergies he made Vegan Custard and Vegan gravy that tasted Delicious Papa the chef had taken a break so I wasnt able to thank him in person. While visiting friends we decided last minute to go for lunch rather than cooking so had no reservation but the staff welcomed us regardless ( something I'm sad to say most establishments no longer do in Surrey) . The food was good, staff delightful and attentive even though they were quite busy and the atmosphere warm. What more could you want! Oh, yes, even more, it's located directly on the river with stunning views!! Highly recommend.

The Albany is under new management and what a breath of freshy air they are! New keen enthusiastic young staff who engaged with us, great food served perfectly and a wonderful ambiance with the open fires welcoming us. Located over looking the River Thames and Hampton Court Palace in the quiet village of Thames Ditton - an ideal location for meeting and catching up with old friends - thank you!

Apart from the setting - the food's pretty good too. Wide choice from a varied selection . I'll avoid a steak in future though - I had a fillet and found it a little tough. Previously , I've never been disappointed here. My wife went for fish & chips and that was great. We shared a baked camembert which was also good.

2 course set menu is fantastic. Beautiful spot hidden on the Thames. Highly recommend the steak sandwich main course.

Greeted at reception and offered either serviced tables or a table in the bar. We chose the restaurant which was a lovely room. We were served by a very attentive and pleasant waitress who was happy to ask the kitchen for answers to our queries, but we were not rushed. The lunch menu was good and interesting but we chose the set menu as options were good and at a good price. The meal came quickly, was hot and fresh and nicely presented. It must be lovely there in the summer with views over the river. There is plenty of car parking (once you navigate a small residential street with parking on both sides).

You can tell there is improvement already happening in the Albany! Wow what a great evening meal we had, fantastic service and beautifully cooked food.

Really nice venue, been a few times before. But not for quite some time. Super friendly staff. Served by a waitress called Kate, who was very helpful and friendly. Food was really tasty with great presentation. The 3 of us all had Sunday roasts. However I have to say the food was not hot enough. Don’t expect food to come straight from the kitchen not piping hot. A bit of a let down, but will still give a solid 4/5 as it was so nice

I have been going to the Albany for many many years to enjoy its wonderful position on the Thames. However I was shocked and disappointed with the standard of food served for lunch. There was a totally green rotten lemon on my plate , which was politely replaced and there were only 3 small prawns and a wilted piece of greener on our ciabatta sandwiches! I should have said more at the time but I certainly will never bother eating there again. What a shame!!

I have no idea why I came back. Fish and chips were really poor. Soggy chips (fish on top, WHY do chefs do that) and very soggy batter. Too light in colour and too thick. They did replace but it was the same. They’re busy the car park was full so why worry. Never again!

Unfortunately the terrace was covered in duck and canadian goose poo . This walked into the bar carpet. The place needs a thorough clean outside in all areas. There is little sign of regular maintenance. We love the spot and have been visiting for many years.

Margaret runs a quaint location with great aplomb . The building itself oozes history and charm and is suitably decorated and furnished . One could spend all day in the library alone . Its great .
