We visited the pub twice during our week visit to Ingleton. It has a cosy old fashioned look inside (which we like) and we received a friendly welcome on both occasions. The cask ale was excellent including Courage Directors which I hadn't seen for many a moon. Also nice to see a number of locals as well as visitors.

Ate here in the evening and the staff went way and beyond with their service. We ordered liver, mash and peas and lasagne, salad and chips. Both delicious and piping hot.Only had one drink as they were shutting early however will definitely return if we return to Ingleton. Thank you once again for you welcome.

Literally the worst pub I’ve ever been to. Ordered easy quick food which took over an hour to serve, food its self was not fresh and made just in oven or deep fried. Taste wasn’t there either, for example we all know those really cheap chippy sausages. Yeah them ones. Whilst waiting to food other customers complaint as they didn’t think their drink was correct. Bar staff proceeded to walk to the kitchen shouting and swearing which caused all other customers to leave but we’d just got our food so stuck with it, despite the awkward atmosphere. “Land Lady” then came out the kitchen and continued the argument instead of asking them to leave quietly and professionally. I appreciate that the argument may be a one off, but didn’t feel like it. Avoid like the plague. Google won’t let me leave 0 stars.

A group of 11 of us came in for Friday night dinner, all booked in advance. Orders were placed at 7.30, with a request for three of the meals to come out later at 8.30 as they were stuck on the m6 in traffic, but we wanted to help out by pre ordering. The meals finally arrived all of us together at 9pm. One of our meals was missing from the table, so we queried why there were only 10 meals. The ticket was brought out with 11 meals on, but had been written down wrong with 2 liver meals (there was only one delivered to the table by this point, so there was still an issue!). I don’t like liver, and had actually ordered a lasagne so said as much. I was greeted with hostility so I said I would eat my partners half finished pie and he would have the liver. We hadn’t seen this extra liver meal, it hadn’t been brought out so w are unsure if it was made. We were told “no I’ll make you a lasagne, I suppose I’ll just have to pay for the liver myself”. This is not the reaction we expected! In addition, on of the meals was sent back, and we were told the chef said “I don’t blame you, I wouldn’t eat that either”. No effort was made from a customer service perspective to apologise in any way for any of this, the two of us just had to wait another 20 minutes to eat. We were made to feel really unwelcome after this. The staff were great when we first arrived, recommending beer etc but as soon as something went wrong their attitude flipped completely. It’s such a shame that the evening went in this direction because our first impressions were good. A shame too from a business perspective as we had booked a table for 11 on the Saturday night as well, but decided that it was not an establishment we wanted to frequent. Customer service goes such a long way, and we understand that mistakes and issues happen but it’s the way that it’s dealt with that matters, and the way this was dealt with was really disappointing 😢

My partner and I had a spa stay with three course meal and breakfast. The whole stay was excellent, good food, friendly staff, very clean, comfortable rooms and the spa was lovely. We had a mud bath which was a fun experience. This was the perfect place for a relaxed, romantic get away and we found the spa stay great value for money. If we lived closer I'd definitely visit again.

The food was terrible. The pub opened at 13:00 and were not taking food orders until 13:30, so we got a drink and some crisps. The bar maid was lovely and welcoming. We ordered the food at 13:32. After 35 mins our food came to the table, firstly a steak pie and chips. The colour of the chips was non existent. The carrots and veg were overcooked and cold, next a cheese burger served upside down that looked rustled up again with white chips (rustlers looked better) then fish fingers (browny grey fish) over cooked and curled like overgrown fingernails and again white chips. A browny grey ‘cod’ and chips and a stone cold steak pudding served squashed. It really was not edible. Oh and the sachets of sauce were out of date. The way the food is priced you expect it to be fresh and, the bar maid looked embarrassed but not shocked. Upon seeing the cook stick her finger in the pie in the kitchen saying it was hot I had to comment, (of course being an old chef I can’t help myself and she clearly doesn’t like chefs) sadly she did not take my words kindly and asked us to leave once we had finished our drinks. We paid for our drinks and crisps and nuts and left as we were not made to feel welcome. Instead of just holding your hands up and admitting you are wrong you launch a personal attack, instead of saying you are not bothered take the advice of professionals or members of the public. Instead of coming back with childish I don’t care and looking pathetic with your responses, show some good customer service. People trust honesty not attacks. It’s a shame as I have nice pint of bitter. But that’s it. Luckily we found a nice cafe with great food at a reasonable price so my kids did not starve

We went here for our lunch following a long walk. Unfortunately the food was beyond edible! I ordered ‘homemade’ pie with potatoes and vegetable. It came with chips, veg that looked like it had been through the dishwasher and the pie was like warm at best ! I can’t express how port our children’s food was including brown fish in the fish fingers and the most disgusting fish and chips I’ve ever seen. The small saving grace was that the barmaid gave our dog a treat, which to the honest looked tastier than the food they served us!! Avoid this place like the plague !

We felt very welcomed (as did our Jack, who enjoyed his treats) by who we presume were the owners. Quite literally the worst pub we’ve ever been to. Myself and my partner felt so uncomfortable the whole time we were there. Pub was empty. Man at bar was grumpy and unapproachable. Food uncooked - served us a jacket potato that was stone cold along with a salad that was half rotting. Expensive food - £16 for a frozen piece of cheap gammon and uncooked chips Horrendous smell as soon as you walk into the place. Good range of drinks. But I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

As we were trying to explain and apologise further she said ‘how do people get through that damn door’, glared at us all as we were leaving, slamming the door behind us as we left. We called in just on speck and asked if food was available. They were serving Sunday roast with a good selection of meats. The service and the food was top class - highly recommended - great food at a great price!

We came here not knowing any review or the place itself. We came on a Thursday evening about 6pm, were greeted politely and shown to a table. The server provided us with menus and came back five minutes later to take our order. Prices are reasonable, portions are a good size and the service and food were excellent. I don't always believe the odd negative review of Fish n Chip Restaurants as not all positive reviews are recorded, just the negative ones. We will definitely be returning when we are in the area again.

Unfortunately, the worst meal I've ever had at a Weatherspoons. Gourmet steak for me and char grilled chicken for my wife. Both sent back as being tough and uneatable. I suspect these had been pre-cooked and warmed up. The replacements were marginally better but not much. Very dissapointed.

Waited over 15 minutes to get served a drink. One uninterested barman for over 70 people. Had pre-ordered our food . It was given to someone else. The management refused to replace it as the kitchen was about to shut. Very arrogant attitude. On the plus side, a good pint of beer. Ate next door at the very friendly Lister Arms.

The menu for this pub is huge and I was worried that quality wouldn't match up. However, we both had burgers which were really good. Freshly prepared and nice and meaty, no complaints whatsoever. Accompaniments were good quality and plentiful. Very impressed. I have taken one star off for the wine though - there was no price list so I just chose randomly but accidentally ended up with a medium and then small glass of wine which together cost £18, which seemed very steep to me. We'd visit again but this time I'd make sure I saw a price list before ordering! Service is friendly and it's always full so make sure you book a table.
