TGI FRIDAYS in Milton Keynes

Absolutely abysmal effort of a restaurant! I’ll try and keep this as short as possible but in summary: After waiting an hour for our food to come out (this was after chasing a few times) I think some of our order was served to another table so we was told my child’s meal would take another 5-10 minutes. My food was not what I ordered so I had to make do as we were running out of time because we had theatre tickets booked. My wife’s chicken burger meat was stone cold like it hadn’t been cooked fully (possibly still partly frozen as I assume they don’t use fresh food) so she couldn’t eat it. My childs meal came out and the bun was still frozen inside. Again not edible. We ordered second drinks that never turned up (not offered complimentary because of the delay either) Never offered any condiments. Finally the manager Courtney came over and said she would fix this and this is where the kick in the teeth came. She took the meals off the bill (charged for all drinks) but because we had eaten some of the chips between the 3 of us (as it was the only thing edible) she decided to charge us for 2 sides of chips as well! I explained that we will have to go to our show now hungry and this has ruined the family meal out and we won’t get to eat now till 10pm at night, She couldn’t care less. Despite me suggesting that I can’t believe she is still going to charge considering they have ruined the start of our night, her attitude was simply “well you have eaten the chips so you should pay for them” !! I’ve never experienced such bad service before. It was chaotic in there. They have no systems in place because the tables in front and behind us you could hear also had problems. I was chatting to someone else from another table and they told me it’s like that a lot in there. They must employ young staff with no experience or training nor do they have any systems in place as they were run off their feet and everything seemed to be going wrong. These poor people must have to put up with constant customer disappointment and anger. Extremely shocking effort and I would never return. This place is not fast food and it’s very pricey so to expect some level of quality and service is not much to ask for!

Great restaurant for a date, happy staff, good food and better drinks. Paige was fantastic, thank you so much. Will definitely be back.

Came here for great food before a show and was served by the lovely Georgie! She was attentive, professional and fave us some great recommendations! Even told us about the app so we could get my daughter’s meal for free 🤩 can’t recommend it enough and if you do go, ask for Georgie! Thank you we will be back

We had a lovely time. Met up with Friends who live local. We went on their recommendation and we were not disappointed. Good atmosphere and great tubs and cocktails. Staff all seemed very helpful. Will definitely revisit when in the area

The booths were a bit of a squeeze with a few bags of shopping. Table was missing forks when the food arrived. Had to ask for my unlimited refill lemonade as it wasn’t delivered. Didn’t get the opportunity to ask for a refill. Food was very delayed in coming out as they sent the veggy burger to a different table. Table server apologised and said they would speak to the manager. Don’t know if they did as there was no offer of compensation or reduction in the bill. The chicken fajita had a significant proportion of onions. The delayed veggy burger was enjoyed, as was the veggy fajita. The sesame chicken portion was generous and couldn’t be finished.

We sat at the bar and were served by Rahat & Scott, amazing drinks and really quick friendly service! There was live music which was amazing also!

Wow, where do I start, I have not visited a TGIs for about 2 years and during that time the prices have gone through the roof. My go to meal of Sesame chicken has gone from £13 to over £20! The cheapest Burger is nearly £19. And lets be honest, its simple food, nothing ultra fancy or good. But to my actual visit. We booked and it was a busy Saturday night. We were shown to our table with menus and there was the first issue. The menus had different prices on them. When we pointed this out to the waitress, you guessed it, the one with the higher prices was the correct one. My wife wanted a cocktail and we soon realised that the list of cocktails ONLY shows the price is you buy two and they have to be the same! No single prices are shown! Anyway we decided on our food i.e. the sesame Chicken which it said came with your choice of sides, so we looked at the list of sides on the menu and I wanted loaded fries, and my wife wanted mac & cheese. Upon ordering, the waitress then informed us the "our choice of sides" only meant house fries or salad! Salad isn't even listed as a side! If we wanted our choice, we would have to pay more, as the meal was already £20+, we declined. i suspect its maybe this branch's way of reducing costs / increasing profits as they don't provide the dearer sides as the menu says. I could be totally wrong of course. We were seated at a table for 4 which meant we had good space. Our waitress came and asked if she could take the extra cutlery which of course we agreed to and promptly handed it over her to then see her just give that to another table after we had handled it! Not very hygienic in my view and if I was the other table, I would not want others peoples cutlery. On a positive note, despite being a Saturday and very busy, the service was fast and friendly. Our drinks and food all came quickly and were very good. All in all, I will not be returning anytime soon as it is appalling value for money and nothing special.

Saturday lunch horrendously slow service for a less than half full restaurant. It took an hour to get our starters. In that time another table hadn’t even been given their drinks. I then waited 25minutes for another drink, and longer for our main. One table hadn’t had their order taken in 30minutes and walked out. Another group then came in and were told to order their drinks at the bar and food at the table, but this service never really came and so they also left. A third table went to pay for their drinks and leave, only staying as their food arrived then. There was then another problem on one of the tables- someone had ordered gluten free fajitas and it was only when they asked where the corn wraps were that they were told they didn’t have any). Prior to this and some way into their wait they were also told something they ordered wasn’t available. Our tables service was very slow, it was impossible to get a drinks refill as there were no staff around until food came out, but I think we were lucky compared to the other tables. The only saving grace was that the food was good- so thumbs up to the chef, but we definitely won’t be eating there again. TGI Fridays at Mk dons is far better. Very poor for a Saturday lunch period!!

I booked a table for 10 people to celebrate my partner’s 40th birthday. We were visiting the area and having had positive experiences at other restaurants within the franchise, it seemed like a safe bet. Sadly this didn’t turn out to be the case. I booked a month in advance through the website which was simple. At the same time, I submitted a simple query through the website contact form (not covered in FAQs) and was disappointed that I didn’t receive a response. We arrived to the booking on time and noticed how busy it was. The first thing I noticed was the layout wasn’t the best, certainly not as spacious as other locations. We were asked to wait in the bar area whilst a table was prepared, which was very cramped. It wasn’t long before our table was ready, so we weren’t there very long. Despite stating on the booking form larger parties may need to be split across several pages, we were seated together which we were thankful for. Whilst browsing the menu, we waited for the server to take our drinks order. We were sat for about 30 minutes waiting until someone on our group was able to catch a very busy waitress who apologised and promised she would be back shortly - we didn’t see her again. The second attempt was more successful, but at that point we were too hungry and decided it was best to order our drinks and food together whilst we had the waitresses attention. The waitress was (again) apologetic and took the order. The drinks came fairly quickly and we utilised the 2 for 1 cocktail offer (although still very expensive). The meals weren’t long a wait although due to our large booking, it took a while to serve everyone with no cutlery out. This meant those who were served first had to sit and wait for up to 10 minutes once everyone had their meals, despite asking for them. The quality of the food was lovely! I had the sesame chicken strips with chips and salad. The portion was large, although I’d still consider it expensive. Overall, a disappointing experience. It seemed the servers were very overworked and understaffed. I do not blame them for our negative experience as they were only doing their best. The service could be dramatically improved by limiting bookings.

Thought we would pop in for some dinner before out theatre visit as it is across the way. When arrived, place was busy but not noisy so good, after being seated on a very small tale where a sign was sticking out so only gave half of the table use on myside, we moved to table behind which then gave us window view. Surrounding tables that were empty but had been used were left covered in plate etc and food all over the floor and seats, this stayed the same throughout our visit, plenty of staff around bit not one had a smile in them and to be honest not sure who was staff o not, as just seemed to be wondering around in un uniformed clothes. Slow service, luckily we booked in plenty of time before out show. We order chicken strips to share for a starter and then main was a glazed burger, fries each, with a side of slaw for me Food order came out wrong twice, then it was obvious food we sent back came out again as cold. Plates are small so when trying to cut your food to eat it fell onto tables (probably explains the food everywhere on other tables). the bill came and they had charged us for the mistakes made so extra main which ut a extra £10.50 on the bill. this was sorted and they were very apologetic for all mistakes. However the food is seriously overpriced an spoor quality. goes without saying we will not be returning. Disappointed.

I went for dinner with my friends and family and it was so good, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy and it was lovely

Dropped in last night for a pre-show meal. Service was awful. It took an hour to get a burger on the table. Staff appeared disinterested and very short in number. Food was adequate. All in all, a pretty disappointing experience.

We were out celebrating a family birthday and it was not a very enjoyable experience . The starters was very very nice, see picture below . However it went quickly down hill after that!!! The starters plates remained on the table and they brought out three out of five adults dishes where the food was cold and mine didn’t arrive!!! The manager was very nice and spoke to us, but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. There was very little team work among the staff, and we all left feeling we would never return

We came for my sons birthday pre theatre at 7.30pm. We told the waitress we were going to the theatre and she said that's no problem. We did pre book ! Table booked for 6pm We waited over an hour for our food the people around us were leaving and complaining because there food hadn't arrived either. It seemed like the whole restaurant was complaining. The man sat near us complained about his food as some of it was missing and they ended up getting the manager and she offered him £2 off lol. A couple left as they were worried about getting to the theatre on time. We were just about to leave and the food came out. We did ask the waitress were are food was of course. When food arrived it was ok nothing special, its expensive for a quick fast food restaurant that isn't very fast. I normally love tgi Friday but not this time, it has put me off going again. They used to do a bucket of bones that was just to die for 😊 as a sharing stater. We had 15 mins to gobble our food and leave to get to the theatre. We then waited a further 10 minutes to get the bill asked for card machine twice. Waitress didn't know who's steak was who's when asked she said her words not mine. (I don't know they just told me to bring it out ). She did come back and tell us eventually. (This place is being run by children with not an adult in sight! ) This Sums Up The Problem ⬆️

We went in and asked if they was a wait on food there said about 30 minutes which was OK with us as we had tickets for the theatre 45 minutes Later we still had no food we ask the waitress how much long is are food is going to be and she said did not have a clue how much longer it was going to be???? She did say that they were short staffed and the manager was in the kitchen... 4 tables walked out ... and there was about six delivero drivers who were waiting for order's I personally think that they should have shut the app off 🤔

Chef should be sacked! 35min wait for starters on a quiet Tues evening is ridiculous. The starters weren't even good when they arrived - nachos were a soggy mess and the seeded chicken strips were hard & chewy. Had to ask twice for cutlery to eat it with. Another 30min wait for main course and only half of it arrived. Again had to ask twice for the rest of it which arrived looking nothing like the menu. The fajitas were a plate full of raw onions, with hardly any peppers and only a few tiny slivers of chicken. The cajun onion rings were cremated. The cheese & bacon loaded fries were half cooked, foul, & nothing like the menu. The waitress didn't even once apologise but did have the gumption to send the manager over as I was so disgusted that I was at the point of walking out. Despite ridiculous wait times and disgusting food, the best they could offer was a 20% reduction in the bill which doesn't even cone close to covering it! If I was you, I would avoid and go somewhere else for a decent meal.
