Expected speedy service due to how quiet it was but my posh beans on toast took 25 minutes to arrive and the poached egg was rock solid, it would have been a much better idea walking 10 minutes into the town centre and eating somewhere with a good cook

I ordered Smashed avocado and poached eggs on toast. It was tasteless and bland. The poached egg was cold. Not worth the money. I won't be trying any more of Tesco’s cafe food

Had a fabulous experience today. All rules in place to make it safe, order and receipt of food was done in a timely manner. I sat at table 7 being a solo diner. However I had a crockery station behind me and high chairs at other side. May I suggest high chairs are moved up towards the cleaning station and the table where the high chairs are. This would have made the experience more pleasurable instead of eating at the side of dirty crockery. Though I must say this was also cleared periodcly. The only downside I saw today that behind the said station looks like no one cleaned behind there for a while. Look forward to checking on my next visit. Maybe then a 5 star

Prices in here are astronomical for a supermarket cafe - basic sandwiches at over £4 is a joke. Convenient for Tesco shoppers with an ok environment but there are cheaper cafes with god food elsewhere in the town.

Dinner during a weekday. Booked table for four. When we went there it was about six and we were seated in the pokey part of the restaurant...dark and we cannot see the menu as it was that dark. Food ...nothing to write about. Fish and chips...and others ordered the burgers with chicken. Usual fare for restaurants. More choices in the town centre...

Excellent customer service from Holly in the cafe this morning. She totally exceeded my expectations and it was clear how was she the same with other customers. Even something as simple as being honest about the strength of the teabags. So many cafes will only give you one tea bag but I was told that if the tea was too weak then take another teabag.

Best cafe in Halifax, so underrated. Make the best sandwiches to order, with the best lattes I’ve ever had. I used to come here with family over past 20 years. I visited again this month after living in New Zealand for the last 7 years, did not disappoint. Their sandwiches are what I crave when I’m overseas. 😍

75p extra for black pudding that should be included, you can buy a hole roll of black pidding for not much more, disgraceful, if cafe 19 wasn't shut I'd not have come for frozen reheated rubbish

We have patronised The Larder for over 5 years, visiting once per month when over in the area on business. On our last visit we ordered two teas as well as meals. I asked if my pot of tea could have an extra tea bag as I find their brand too weak for my taste. The waitress told me to let it stew a bit. I repeated that I would prefer two tea bags and if it was a problem on this occasion I was happy to pay for it. However when the bill came I was horrified that I had been charged £3.00 for the extra tea bag and was reluctantly refunded £l.50. Needless to say we will not be patronising the establishment again. I just hope the lady sat with her dog didn't dare to ask for a bowl of water for it.
