Tempus Bar & Restaurant at Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow City

We had an amazing breakfast here for my son's 14th birthday. The food was great and we filled our boots. The staff were so attentive and made it extra special by bringing birthday cakes and a lovely message alongside complimentary drinks at the upstairs bar. My son felt truly spoiled. Couldn't recommend it enough!

The hotel itself was amazing great character and welcoming staff. Going down for breakfast next morning was disappointing. The breakfast room was laid out like a canteen buffet style which was served by the chef. Warm food, up and down to get beverages which took time therefore a queue. Toast took longer!! Really need this updated organised better beautiful hotel but must do better

Restaurant staff at Robinson Crusoe, marrisa went out of her way to accommodate me. I felt special. She brought the dinner to my room. Set everything up with the restaurant for delivery.....and all with a perfect smile.

Went for dinner with a group of friends, we had a lovely round table, the welcome we received was very friendly. The manager was very involved and went out of his way to find my gluten free options. We had @ voucher and the menu choice was very good. The food was excellent and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Popped in last Sunday evening for a quick Pre Theatre meal a was very happy with the ambience and the care and attention given by the staff. Enjoyed the food and the presentation,and would liked to have spent more time as the atmosphere was very relaxed. Next time in Glasgow with more time, we would certainly return.

A lovely meal in this restaurant that was even better value using a voucher. The food was beautifully presented although small portions. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

Went 7:15pm dinner. Ordered Scallop and short ribs croquette for starter, and salmon and venison for main. Scallop was set on inedible seeds for the presentation but since the sauce was thick and sticky, the seeds got stuck and mixed with the scallops. The seeds were hard and I accidentally bit onto one although i put all effort in removing the seeds that got mixed inside the sauce. Moreover, the main salmon fillet was very dry and inconsistently cooked. 90% was dry and the rest was pink and undercooked. For drinks, the waiter was asked if they served any freshly squeezed juice and she brought orange and blackcurrent juice to our attention which we later found out that they were from concentrate. Furthermore, we asked for the dessert menu when the waiter has took our starter and main orders but the waiter refused to give saying that we could our at any time afterwards. Then, we tried to order dessert again right before we finished eating our mains since we did not want to wait again for our dessert like we waited a long time for our starters and mains. This time the waiter harshly replied lecturing me to 'wait for the lady to finish her dish' and that dessert was supposed to be ordered only when everyone has finished eating. It was his job to take our menu order when politely asked for and it was inappropriate to reject our menu request twice. Concerning the "wait for the lady to finish" part, what he did not realise was the fact that my date was the one having the dessert and I was merely asking for the menu for her. I will not come back here to pay this much and will never recommend anyone this place.

We ate here one night whilst staying in the hotel because my partner wasn’t feeling well so we didn’t want to venture outside. Staff were welcoming and the menu offered a good selection of choices. Food was tasty.. especially my venison ragu. It was just a shame that the restaurant is chilly - there’s quite a cold draught that blows through (both that night and a couple of days later when we had breakfast in the room)

Visited on a voucher and we were not disappointed! Upgraded to the scallops to start which were perfect and opted for the Steak for main which I can honestly say was one of the best we've ever had! Staff were attentive and friendly without being over bearing, which can be a rare find in Glasgow these days! Lovely little cocktail menu to finish off as well - will definitely be back!

Lovely meal with a voucher deal. Recommend the black pudding starter was delicious. There is a supplement for the steak but was very nice. The reason for me rating this restaurant average is the length of time you need to wait for your drinks apart from that the service was good.

Visited this restaurant with a Groupon voucher. Food lovely, especially the duck.- Correctly cooked with a touch of pink. The whole restaurant very dimly lit - fortunately I had my trusty little torch which was needed to read menu. I had soup as a starter and was amazed to find there was no roll or crusty bread on offer. Surely a four star restaurant can provide a side plate and a roll or crusty bread to accompany soup.My main, as I said, was duck (£4.50 extra)The sweet potato mash and mixed peppers and spinach accompanying duck was minescule, so that was disappointing. The whole menu pretty restrictive with only a very limited choice without having to fork out a supplement Staff friendly and courteous. Would not really be tempted to go again unless going a la carte. (Maybe you don't get a roll with your soup even then!! )

Had the set Christmas menu and food was tasty and well presented. Portions were on the small side and we were all hungry within a few hours. Gorgeous decor, very festive and of course the lovely Champagne bar is close by. Staff were very pleasant and friendly.

Went for dinner, we had a it is on voucher. The menu choices was very good. The food was excellent and they made a separate Vegeterian/ gluten free meal for me. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely return.

Bien, revelación completa: principalmente comimos aquí la primera vez porque nos estábamos quedando en el Grand Central Hotel, y esta fue la opción fácil después de un largo día de viaje. Pero en serio, ¡fue EXCELENTE! El servicio fue maravilloso y amable, y la comida fue increíble! Regresamos por más en nuestra segunda noche y no nos decepcionó. También comimos aquí para el desayuno buffet las dos mañanas y nuevamente, me quedé impresionado. También tengo algunas restricciones dietéticas, y el chef estaba feliz de preparar algo especial para mí (sin cargo adicional) cuando no pude encontrar un elemento de proteína en el buffet que se adaptara a mis necesidades.

Recientemente visité Tempus con 3 amigos. El Grand Central Hotel es un favorito firme y habitual de mi familia. El servicio fue pésimo. El camarero no pudo responder ninguna pregunta. Cuando le preguntamos a una, desapareció para obtener la respuesta y repitió esto cada vez. Esperamos más de una hora y media para nuestro plato principal. La comida pobre. Mi comida estaba bien, pero las de mis amigos eran insípidas y porciones muy pequeñas. Podría seguir. Cuando salía del hotel para tomar mi tren, después de liquidar mi factura con tarjeta de crédito, la camarera me llamó y me dijo que había rechazado mi tarjeta. Esto fue vergonzoso! Le expliqué que había usado mi tarjeta en otra parte esa noche sin ningún problema y le pedí que lo intentara nuevamente. Ella lo hizo y el pago no fue un problema. Cogí mi tren justo cuando las puertas estaban a punto de cerrarse. Envié una queja al hotel porque estaba avergonzado y decepcionado por la experiencia, ya que había sugerido el lugar a mis amigos. No recibí respuesta del hotel. Me molesta dos veces más y todavía no he tenido respuesta. Esta es la razón por la que ahora presento esta pobre revisión ya que realmente siento que la administración de cualquier establecimiento de este tipo NUNCA debería ignorar las quejas. Estoy triste por hacerlo.

Me encantó la configuración del lugar, aunque la iluminación es muy tenue (dificultó la lectura del menú, vi un par de teléfonos utilizados como antorchas)

Tuvimos dos comidas aquí y no nos impresionó. El personal era muy amable pero le faltaba experiencia.

Compré un wowcher para mí y mi amigo para usar en Tempus Central Hotel para experimentar una buena cena. Al llegar nos recibió una joven que nos mostró nuestro asiento. Nos dieron el menú y había algunas cosas que realmente no entendíamos. Le preguntamos a la niña si podía explicarnos solo para decirnos qué es lo que vemos y si queríamos algo complementado, tendríamos que pagar la diferencia. Es justo decirlo, pero como solo había un par de platos en el menú que no se complementaban, no tuvimos más remedio que pedirlo, aunque no era algo que comiéramos normalmente. Desde que nos llevaron a nuestro asiento, nadie se nos acercó para dejar nuestros platos. No hay comunicación en absoluto. Cuando comenzamos a comer a una mujer que descubrimos cuando nos íbamos porque le preguntamos a un niño quién era ella (Supervisor) caminaba de un lado a otro de nuestra mesa mirándonos constantemente, pero nunca se acercó para ver si estábamos bien. A mi amiga le dijeron que si quería papas fritas con su pescado, tendría que pagar el extra. también seguido de una cita de la chica "probablemente necesitarás papas fritas ya que viene solo" Nada como vender para que pagues más y otra vez esa fue la única conversación que alguien tuvo con nosotros todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí. Cuando llegaban las papas fritas tenían el tamaño de un tazón que le daría a un bebé, frío y empapado. Cuando terminamos nuestra comida nos quitaron los platos y le dijimos a la chica re chips, servicio, etc. y ella nos miró con sorpresa y dijo "perdón por eso" y se alejó. Nuevamente, nadie se acercó a nosotros y en cuanto al Supervisor que debería haber venido después de haberle dicho que intentara darnos algún tipo de servicio al cliente, desapareció por completo. Ahora, al final de nuestra noche, estábamos asombrados de cómo nos habían tratado. Nos levantamos de nuestras sillas y, cuando nos íbamos, ningún miembro del personal se acercó para decir buenas noches ni nada. Cuando llegamos a la puerta, mi amigo preguntó quién era la mujer y fue entonces cuando nos dijo que era el Supervisor quien los cuidaba. Mi amiga le sugirió que podría hacer más con el cuidado de sus clientes y le contamos sobre nuestro servicio y él se encogió de hombros. Cuando nos íbamos, mi amiga preguntó dónde estaban los baños y le dijo con la punta de su dedo que usara "ese inodoro deshabilitado ya que eso era todo lo que había allí" absolutamente disgustado y conmocionado por el nivel de no experiencia de aquí y nunca lo hará. Volveremos de nuevo. En un momento, realmente pensé que alguien iba a saltar y decirnos que todo era una broma. ¡Nunca había experimentado algo así en mi vida! ¡HORRIBLE! !

Dined with you on Monday evening and was not disappointed, steak was cooked to perfection & sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Your staff were very cheery & helpful especially Andy who recommend dishes for my partner who required gluten free also recommended a fantastic red wine, after dinner we headed to champagne central for cocktails, can’t wait till next time.

I would love to have seen this hotel in its hey day. It has amazing features, definitely worth a visit. Attended a course here and was fortunate to have lunch here.

Thoroughly unimpressed. 6 of us arrived at 7PM. Drinks still hadn’t arrived by the time starters came. By 8.10 we were still waiting for mains (only 3 of us got starters so we were starving!)

It was busy the night we went, but service was good. My husband had a great steak, done as he likes it. The sticky toffee pudding was good, but the caramel tart was like the boxed ones I buy in the supermarket, with ice cream on top.

Stayed in the attached hotel twice. Breakfast excellent on both occasions with everything you could possibly want including haggis! Dinner was an excellent ribeye, done to my choice perfectly.

We were staying in the Grand Central Hotel and this was an obvious place to eat on a very wet evening. We had fillet medallions and they were superb. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Booking is a must as it gets very busy. Will definitely eat there again.

Thought we’d try this place as we were given a voucher 2 course/ glass of Prosecco . First impressions , grand style room but seemed gloomy. Our food arrived promptly and both courses were lovely , we did add side orders as 1 root veg & garnish didn’t seem enough to complete the main dish . The menu on offer has 5 choices for each course however 3 /5 choices had an extra charge if chosen , I suggest they change the set menu price or add options that are affordable to a special menu. The staff were pleasant but very serious and abit robotic not a relaxed atmosphere, we had planned to have a few drinks but we opted to go elsewhere : with abit more soul.

Service slow. Waiting at stairs for booking to be checked and then seated. Main course very tasty. Cheese board rubbish.

Having an overnight stay at Grand Central in Glasgow we decided to eat in the Tempus Restaurant. We both ordered sirloin steak -one medium rare and the other well done. Both were cooked to perfection. A good selection of desserts and a cold glass of Prosecco rounded off a very pleasant meal.

My husband and I came back to the restaurant the third time in February. Again, I consider this restaurant excellent place to eat. On our third night at the hotel, we brought along our friends who has not been to this restaurant. Both of them enjoyed the dinner.

I booked this restaurant for my 60th birthday celebration with my family. I based my choice on 2 separate previous visits to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Service was slow and underwhelming and despite the fact I had mentioned it was my 60th when booking and my sister referring twice to the fact to our waitress, nothing was said or done to mark this e.g., on previous visits, when dessert came, the birthday girl‘s plate had ‘happy birthday ‘ piped on it. For me, nothing!

Great food but terrible service. We booked a 5pm deal and were told on arrival that they didn’t have us booked in. I showed them the booking reservation email and after a lot of huffing and puffing (professional!) we were finally seated without an apology. Had to ask for our wine and table water twice before we got it. Food came first. Only saving grace was that the food was delicious. Due to the poor customer service we wouldn’t return.

All four of us who dined with you on Friday night had an amazing meal,3 had the pigeon starter,1 the ham croquette.For mains 2 had the chicken and 2 the seafood linguine.My husband and sister in law said the pasta dish was the best they have ever tasted (and have had pasta in Italy before!)

Had a overnight stay in the hotel and dinner in the Tempus restaurant. Food was really good, flavoursome and well presented. The Buffett breakfast has a great choice of hot food and plenty of it. Really enjoyed it here and staff are friendly.

We booked to stay in the hotel on 12th April and decided to have breakfast, @ £16.50 per head which I thought was outrageous at the time but don’t knock it until you have tried it. Having stayed in many a hotel, this breakfast was not only not worthy of the money it was pretty awful. The coffee was cold, I picked up a scone with butter which was so hard I could actually not eat it, so then went for buffet breakfast, the fried egg was hard, the sausage was cold, the black pudding I could not eat it was so bad. On hind site I would have settled for a Burger King in the station itself. Very very disappointed and won’t be looking to book any time soon

As threatened/promised, we made our second visit early Saturday evening. We weren’t expecting any increase on last visits superb experience? The food in presentation and taste was fab. Our thanks to Rosie for her exemplary service and smiles made for another lovely evening.Looking forward to our next visit sooner rather than later, our thanks to all serving and cooking.

The meal was excellent. We had scallops which were very tasty then linguine with mussels amazing service was good also would go back for food.

After an amazing dinner at Tempus I thought a review was to be had. From start to finish the whole evening was awesome, service was first class the restaurant is a well run machine Sonia & Warwick have a top class team. The food was cooked to perfection the steak was actual melt in the mouth stuff. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants where you get a standard “ how was your meal” but it’s nice to get some actual chat and some banter with people. Big shout out to Darius and kalo for the bants was will definitely be back soon x

We had received a 5pm deal as a gift at Christmas, We booked our dela and had a 2 course dinner with prosecco.

food was nice however the service was awful. Ordered soup, received the bread without butter.I asked for butter, waiter walked away. I had to stand up and go and ask or some. I tried to get attention to ask for a drink. Staff were chatting so I had to stand up and walk over to them- one walked away even though I was standing next to her. Drink was eventually brought to table however unfortunately it was spilt over me. Waitress did apologise though. Waited too long between courses. I asked for the bill three times. The staff were having a conversation in the middle of the restaurant whilst people were sitting eating which I thought rude. When leaving the restaurant, no one bothered to say goodnight, hope you enjoyed your meal...nothing. After paying full price (not a deal) for the experience of eating in the restaurant which was recommended to me, I was very disappointed in the whole night. Before writing this review I contacted the restaurant/hotel direct 3 time via email to give my feedback however I have not received a response - apart from auto acknowledgement. .So although the food was nice, the whole experience was not. I personally wont be returning.Sorry.

Our first ever visit here early Saturday evening was as part of a group of 8. We were shown to our table which since being round allowed us all to communicate without shouting along a table. Our meal was first class and the compact menu was a pre paid voucher deal including a drink. Service was very good and various starters and mains all delicious. Our thanks to kitchen and waiting staff for a great experience and assuredly we will return.

Booked the steak and wine deal. It was fantastic. The food was amazing and the service was 5 star. Definitely visit again!!!

Mi esposa y yo visitamos el 16/2/19. La gerencia y el personal fueron amables, acogedores y muy atentos sin ser entrometidos. El menú era muy variado, con mucha variedad a un costo razonable. Nos reservamos para 16. 30, que fue un buen momento ya que el restaurante no estaba muy ocupado en ese momento un sábado por la tarde, pero eso había cambiado por 17. 30 cuando se hicieron mucho más ocupados. Volveremos para otra visita en un futuro próximo.

After a terrible experience at Tempus restaurant during our work night out for Christmas dinner which I can only describe as something similar to the ice bucket challenge and wishing I had brought a change of clothes with me, I contacted the restaurant to inform them their service was less than satisfactory. However their response to this and their quality of customer service has exceeded my expectations.

Al quedarme en el hotel y sin ganas de salir y empaparme, decidí comer en el restaurante Tempus.

Had steak and bottle of wine deal, steak was good, wine was OK, could have included a sauce, ordered veg side, mac/cheese, this was really good and price for side's thought was reasonable very nice dinner.

We were given a gift of a voucher for 2 courses and glass of prosecco. On arrival we were warmly welcomed. There is a varied choice on the pre theatre menu. Whipped goat's cheese starter, shin of beef main and white chocolate panna cotta dessert were all delicious. Special mention to Lee, our waiter who was warm, friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.

We did not stay at the Hotel but had dinner. It was great service and exceptional food. We shared an entrée which was the best beef we had had while travelling. Staff was friendly but not overly and while it was the week before Christmas, it was incredibly festive. We couldn't even get into the bar as it was packed.

We ate here through a deal on 5pm.com. We both had the Turkey and we were impressed with the size and quality of the meal. It was excellent value for money. We also loved the pop up Prosecco bar at the foot of the stairs! Only £5 a glass, £2 cheaper than the main bar.

My friend and I went to the Tempus Restaurant using a voucher for 3 course Festive lunch. We booked our table for 2.30pm and were told this was the latest time available for lunch.

Had a very good 3 course lunch yesterday. This was an itison deal. You helped yourself at the Carvery. Plenty of choices, all very good. Staff were all very pleasant. Would highly recommend Tempus restaurant

I'd heard good things about Tempus so was delighted when a friend offered to share her birthday voucher with me. The voucher menu was varied and the food was good as was the service, up to the end that is. On receiving the bill for extra drinks we left a reasonable tip as the staff had been excellent. The waitress who took our bill said she'd be back with the change before I had a chance to tell her just to keep it. I thought I would tell her when she came back, but guess what, she never did. I don't know if she forgot or just assumed we were leaving a tip but then why say you'll be back with the change. Only niggle on an otherwise excellent visit.

I'm really sorry to have to write this. I'd been looking forward to staying at this hotel for a very long time and all the staff were great.

Good choice of drinks at the bar, a gin & tonic is going to be around £5.70 for a Gordons, Goats Cheese starter at £6.00 and a lamb Tagine at £18.50, the food was very good and the staff friendly, it was very busy when we were there but it looked like there a couple of very large conferences being held, we had to queue for breakfast in the morning but I'm sure this is an exception as the last time I was here it was much quieter. The breakfast was also very good.

My partner and our kids were in Tempus last Saturday early evening. The food was excellent, as was the wine. Staff were very attentive. Special thanks to Sonia,who made us all feel so welcome. Be back soon? You bet.

We really enjoyed our meal booked at the last minute predominantly because you accepted the taste discount card. We were in town for a work conference nearby and it was such a miserable evening weather wise and we didn’t want to walk far. The food we had was well presented and tasted delicious. The wine and gin cocktails we had were lovely. Combined with our discount on food it was exceptional value for money. The decor was tasteful and understated and the service was excellent. Thanks for a lovely, impromptu evening in Glasgow!

I attended this restaurant along with my wife. What an absolute gem of a place. My wife ordered the haggis fritter then chicken supreme and I had the prawn cocktail then a rib-eye steak. Both meals were out of this world, so a special thanks to the chef NATALIE. Our front of house host GABRIEL was most attentive and treated my wife and I like lords and ladies. I cannot praise him enough. I must also thank the remaining staff (unfortunately I did not get their names) for making this a most memorable evening. We are sure to return. 5 stars.

This is a hidden gem, we had a great night at this restaurant which is situated in Central station. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was great we had chicken Balmoral and chicken Supreme both were excellent. Waitress was able to advise on wine selection and service was fast. A pleasant atmosphere and easy to get to and get home from with the obvious train link.

I received a voucher from a client for the two course meal for two with Prosecco. From the minute we entered we were made feel welcome by all staff, an absolute credit to your hotel. Food was fantastic, service was second to none and the setting is perfect. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family. Thank you.

The food was really lovely. My partner had soup to begin with and I had the pate. Both were lovely but the soup in particular was really tasty. We both had fillet of beef with dauphinois potatoes and peppercorn sauce. The meat was cooked perfectly. Service was good throughout. Would definitely recommend!

Booked private dining for 8 adults and 2 kids. At first I thought it may be a bit small, but no, it was perfect. I've had private dining at larger venues, but this such a comfy cosy place, we all loved it. This was part of my wifes birthday celebrations and it was a nice thoughtful touch to have happy birthday written in icing on her pudding plate.

We had breakfast here each morning....fabulous and dinner one night...latest oasta and subvert steak.

El barman en el restaurante Tempus estaba muy bien informado y nos recomendó varios lugares para visitar mientras estábamos en Glasgow. Decidimos ir por comida local en nuestra primera noche. Mi marido tenía la carne Wellington envuelto con haggis en vez de P t; Fui por el venado local. Ambas comidas fueron de excelente calidad, los vinos tenían un buen precio. No teníamos un entrante pero en cambio tenía un postre con cafés. Sin embargo, comenzamos la comida con algunos de los excelentes champán del restaurante! ¡También tiene una barra de champán!

We ate two breakfasts and one dinner at this restaurant. The night of dinner we were told that they were short staffed and it would take awhile for us to get our dinner. It was later in the evening and we decided to wait. They apologized several times for the delay. Rosalie and Jen were running their feet off, doing the best they could. We got our dinner and it was good. We ordered steak, It was cooked as to how we asked. Other patrons were complaining about the time, however they were told and choose to stay and wait. Rosalie and Jen and the manager thanked us by giving us a piece of cheesecake and two glasses of champagne. We did not expect this but were impressed with how they handled a difficult situation not their fault, The breakfast was a full breakfast with self serve. The second breakfast had more staff on and they were serving coffee and tea- most hotel breakfasts we eat are self serve. Staff did not come to our table. But it did not change our perception of breakfast. Lots of selection and variety for breakfast from eggs, porridge, potato pancakes, fruit, toast, cereal, bacon and several types of tea.Thank you for making us slow down and enjoy the experience. We hope to come back.

We used to really like this place but last night when we visited the very quiet restaurant we had been seated for 55 minutes yet had only been served with one course. Our starters consisted of tasteless soup and soggy Arancini Balls. The mains when we eventually recieved them were slightly better but as others have mentioned served in very small portions. I can't think what is going on here as I have seldom seen so many servers in a restaurant where the service is

Comí aquí en mi última noche alojarse en el hotel Grand Central. Como fue el caso en el desayuno, la habitación era un poco demasiado frío. Pedí, que era lubina, según el menú, servido con ñoquis, aceitunas y asado de alcachofas. Cuando la comida llegó, no había de alcachofas. Hice señas a un camarero, que de paso dijo que iba a consultar con el chef. Él nunca regresó. La camarera parecía preguntar cómo estaba todo, y me preguntó de nuevo sobre las alcachofas. Ella se marchó y volvió con algunos dijo que eran 'extra'. Le pregunté qué quería decir, y por ella respaldada. Aparentemente, esta consulta así que ella envió su asustaron alguien a tomar nuestro pedido de postre, y a la hora de pedir la factura, que no iba a hacer contacto visual. Me dijo adiós con ella en una forma evidente, y ella trató de conseguir el camarero desapareciendo para darnos cuenta. Él sacudió la cabeza y se negó, así que ella de mala gana regresó. Todo era muy raro. La comida era bastante buena, aunque el pescado estaba un poco seco, pero el servicio era tan rara, y la habitación tan fría, que no dudo en recomendar este lugar.

Tuvimos un gran momento visitando este bar que está en el hotel Grand Central. Personal atento, gran arquitectura.

Tenía esperanzas de alta después de arranque un encantador pero fuimos cuesta abajo venera desde allí. Ambos tuvimos hamburguesas que eran algo grave. Ninguno de nosotros acabamos nuestro patatas fritas, que es incomprensible. Pedimos una botella de vinagre, y se puso en la Sarsons mesa. No era lo que esperaba en el Tempus.

Comimos aquí como parte de nuestra estancia en el Grand Central. El restaurante está muy bien decorado y todo el personal nos pareció muy atento pero discreto. Habíamos reservado para las 6 de la tarde un domingo por la noche, y fueron los primeros en estar comedor, sin embargo, el restaurante nos llena más la noche. La comida fue deliciosa, con grandes porciones. Optamos por la 2 campos que eran una gran relación calidad-precio. Sin duda recomendaría comer aquí, incluso si no se aloja en el hotel

Tempus Bar & Restaurant at Grand Central Hotel

A las 7:30 pm imprescindible reservar la cena para 30 turistas tomó 3 horas. La decoración es agradable, la comida muy buena, los precios muy razonables, pero estaban faltos de personal. Los turistas tienen cosas más importantes que hacer con su tiempo limitado en Glasgow que soportar una comida de 3 horas. El servicio era muy cortés.

Nunca me he marcado el lugar 5, pero este estaba cerca.

Poor service minuscule portions and were there for what seemed hours. Some of the order never did turn up.

Great service, selection and people.Had both Scottich and English breakfast selection. Tried the haggis and other Scottish dishes.

Service was shocking! The waitress appeared to be of an oriental background, soooo rude, no customer service skills whatsoever! We chose the pre-theatre menu! Set price! Prawn cocktail had a £5 supplement! I’ve had better! The steak had a £7 supplement! Wasn’t that great a steak, so right away there’s an extra £12 on the bill! I ordered onion rings! Still waiting! There were a lot of American tourist in, a tour group! Most of the service was focused on them, probably for the tips! In the space of 1hr we had managed a second drink, we could get the attention of the waitress and when we did she ignored us.

Our second visit. First visit was spoilt by cold food and overcharging, our second visit was spoilt by a menu that we could barely read because of small print. Food good service good but no mention or warning of surcharges

I booked an Itison deal for my partner's birthday here. A 2 course meal with prosecco for £24 and it is well worth it. We got 2 glasses of prosecco each and chose strters of Leek & Potato soup and Chicken Liver Parfait and then Chicken Supreme and Sirloin Steak (which you pay a supplement for) with Diane Sauce (another supplement) and chips. We had a couple of drinks and a dessert and the bill outwith the £24 was £20. Not bad really considering it's The Central Hotel and classed as a very luxurious name. I would recommend and actually have an afternoon tea purchased already to use, so looking forward to returning. The staff were very attentive and are well trained in silver service. I was really impressed.

I booked to eat here as I was disappointed with the menus at other places in Glasgow.

Este sábado fuimos a comer con mi familia al restaurante, la verdad que fue una experiencia inmejorable estuvimos muy agusto y trato fue excelente. Nos atendió Ana Marçal fue muy atenta, y simpatica se anticipo en todo momento a nuestras necesidades, incluso nos acompaño a ver la piscina! Tuvimos mucha suerte de que nos atendiera ella, hizo nuestra comida muy agradable. La comida estaba muy buena, hicimos el menu degustación la comida era de mucha calidad, muy buena y bien presentada. Aprovecho para felicitar al chef, Xavi por su gran trabajo. Sin duda lo recomendaremos y volveremos si tenemos la oportunidad!

Along with a group of friends, we had an early dinner in the Tempus using ITISON vouchers. The food was all really lovely and such excellent value. Nice atmosphere and friendly waiting staff added to a very enjoyable evening.

Felt the need to write this review to praise everyone involved at Tempus.

First visit to this restaurant. Good choice of dishes. Vegetable Thai curry very tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Relaxed atmosphere, good service but uninspiring food. I chose the Thai vegetable curry - it consisted of mostly sweet potato with very little sauce at all. The Apple tartlet with clotted cream was tasty but the clotted cream was a bare half teaspoon of cream.

My wife and I attented Tempus last night taking advantage of an itison voucher we had recieved as a gift.

I booked the PDR for my mums birthday, we got a good deal online. There was 8 of us and my 3yr old niece, who loved running round the table multiple times - without annoying any other diners.

We dined at this restaurant on the first night of our 4 day Glasgow stay last week, it being just around the corner from where we were staying. It is a large, historic and imposing restaurant. It was not busy whilst we were there (a Tuesday evening), but the staff made us very welcome and looked after us well. We each enjoyed a lovely 2 course meal with a bottle of wine, which proved excellent value as part of a Taste Card deal (50% off food).

Staff pleasant and friendly, the food was okay, I had mussels to start, we are all aware not to eat from the shells that have not opened, so don't serve them provide food we can eat I had five unopened within a relatively small portion.

1st visit to Tempus but definitely not the last!

I had a really nice two course meal in the Tempus, the restaurant was warm and cosy and quite busy early on the Friday evening. The service was prompt and the staff were warm and friendly. I went for the set menu of chicken with dauphinoise potatoes and garlic green beans, delicious but if you have a bigger appetite you may want to order some side portions. I saved myself for the apple crumble and custard which was crunchy crumble with soft warm apple flavoured with cinnamon served with a light custard. I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back.

La comida era de buena calidad que tenía el pollo, bien preparado, como las guarniciones.

Nos alojamos en el hotel y la cena era parte del trato. Cuando llegamos al restaurante nos sentimos inmediatamente cómo frío tanto era la habitación. Elegimos una botella de buen vino para compartir y yo tuvimos la bruschetta para empezar y mi esposa la sopa. Bien mi arranque sentimos como si la placa había sido bañados y refrigerados, listos para ser servido cuando sea necesario y sopa de mi esposa estaba hirviendo. El primer plato nos sirven alrededor de 3 minutos después de ordenar. La red llegó muy rápido, pedí el solomillo, de tamaño raro que pedí. Cuando llegó la carne podría decir fue recocido antes del camarero incluso ponerlo abajo. Nunca me quejé de la carne, ya que una vez que he ordenado normalmente esperar un chef para saber cómo cocinar, pero si se equivocan o no importa cómo su casera o no saben cómo hacerlo correctamente ahí si aparece así equivocar no saben realmente lo que están haciendo y a esperar una nueva mientras que la cena de mi esposa estaba sentado allí es un no-no para mí. Mi mujer pidió el plato de pollo con verduras que ella pareció O. K.

Ate from the market menu which had plenty of choice, soup was ok ( not my fav soup but I fancied soup) chicken was delicious and the apple crumble & custard was amazing ! Staff were very friendly and attentive, got a complimentary glass of prosecco as our main course was a little slow, tbh I didn’t think it was and certainly no need for an apology. Restaurant was busy with a nice ambience about it. Highly recommend
