The service is sweet but but the ice cream scoops are really mean. There is a choice of ice cream shops in the area so management needs to decide if they want repeat business or not.

This establishment don't understand or care about allergy law. My son has a severe milk allergy. We asked for information on the ingredients in a sausage sandwich and told the waitress about his allergy. We were told that the bread was dairy free. We asked for a sausage sandwich with nothing else on. When it arrived, we spotted it had butter on. We pointed this out to the waitress who said that we hadn't told her. Her exact words were 'I'm not a mind reader. I'm suprised the fact that butter has milk in needs to be explained to somebody in the food industry. She left without taking the sandwich and we waited for a replacement. After a while, it was obvious none was coming. I asked if it was going to be replaced and they told me it would be 10 mins. They had clearly no intention of rectifying it before I asked. They told me that we were being awkward and told me to leave. They gave my money back and I told them that we would be reporting them to trading standards, which we now have. Hopefully they can be given the right guidance and be made to understand the potential seriousness of allergies before someone comes to harm.

Pooped in after a bad experience in another beach café. Gentleman serving us was great. Cooked a lovely bacon and egg sandwich and served to outside table. Reasonably priced and friendly service. The five star rating is in for similar establishments. It is good old fashioned seaside beach café food plus a good selection of ice creams.

It's wetherspoons, but pleasant enough, food is good for what it is, service is very good. You get what you pay for. Can't really complain.

Have been for a meal here before and enjoyed it. Last night however the meal was terrible. I don't know if it was a different chef, but certainly won't be returning. My friend ordered fish and chips and the fish was disgraceful. I've seen bigger fish fingers! There was a tiny piece of fish in a lot of batter. We were given £10 off the meal but it was both embarrassing and disappointing to take friends for a meal, telling them the food was good. My gammon meal cost £21 for a small amount of ham, a few chips and a hard egg and peas. I have had a better similar meal in a café for a fraction of the price. My friends mussels were overcooked and when we asked for the accompanying chips that were listed a pitiful amount arrived. All in all a very disappointing, expensive night.

Eating here is just like eating a subway in New York, Miami, or Chicago...except from this one you see in the distance the magnificent and storied spires of the Canterbury Cathedral. Who wouldn't want to have that view whilst enjoying a fine subway sandwich?
