We grabbed a couple of sticky chicken salads from Take Two today for lunch and they were absolutely delicious. Still enjoying the lovely flavours two hours later. So if you want super friendly service, tickled taste buds and a dog friendly environment this is your place. If it was in Edinburgh I’d be in for my lunch every day of the week! Loved it. Got some tasty Kombucha and Fentimans Cola from the Health place next door. Perfect.

Slightly overpriced for quality of product. Cheese scone expensive and reheated with a microwave oven , making it soggy.. Too many dogs around. Teapot chipped and tea spoon dirty. Tea bags used pretty tasteless and only 2 put in a large tea pot for two. Very average overall and not worth a visit. It does seem to have lot of regulars but as a tourist no thanks.

We went to Burnham on Sea for the day and were looking for a cream tea. What a find this lovely place was. Hidden round a back street you could walk past but please dont. We just had scones jam and cream and tea for 2. Beautifully served with strawberrys on the side. Gorgeous. Good menu for breakfast and lunch and snacks. The staff are very friendly and make you very welcome. If ever you come to Burnham dont miss the Take Two coffee shop for eating in and grab and go. Five stars.

Very welcoming and good choice of breakfast .We both had the English muffins with poached egg, bacon and Avacado, which were delicious . If what you want isn’t on the menu , they will happily accommodate your choice if they have the ingredients. They are also doing slimming world / ww friendly dishes .Will visit again when in the area

We decided to go for a Christmas Lunch with friends, without our dogs for a change, and it was such good value for money. Two of us had the nut roast and the others the turkey. The nut roast was the best I have had and I have been a vegetarian for over 25 years. The vegetables were not overcooked and complimented my nut roast as it is the turkey the others had. We also enjoyed the berry crumble with custard. It was packed and you could see why, friendly and helpful staff, attentive service and a hot meal. What more could you ask for!

I was told about this cafe by another dog owner as although I live near Burnham I had never been there before. We decided to take our puppy on the beach but beforehand go to this cafe. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised, the coffee was hot and good value for money and we really enjoyed our toasted teacakes (especially as they were toasted on both sides and not one). We were amazed at how many dog owners use this cafe but everyone was friendly and there were no fights (between dogs of course). Everyone was friendly and helpful and our puppy also got free biscuits, what more could we ask for!

MORE AT TripAdvisor

I visited this cafe on a pleasantly warm (but not excessively hot) day in July. The first thing to point out is that it is rather hidden, it is not on one of the main tourist roads in Burnham-on-Sea but just a short walk away. They serve sandwiches, salads, paninis, jacket potatoes, breakfasts. The prices are reasonable. I chose a brie/bacon/cranberry panini and a cooled Coke. There are about 30 seats with a few more outside. This cafe has a 4* 'scores on the door' hygiene rating (Sedgemoor District Council May 2016). I made use of the toilet which was very clean though maybe a little on the small side. I should point out - as other posters also have - that this cafe is dog friendly. That is clearly indicated on the door. There were 3 dogs inside when I went in and they presented no problem. But if the weather on the day had not been warm and sunny but cold and wet then they will likely smell, and customers will also need to avoid the spray hazard as the dogs shake their fur to dry out. There is nothing I could really see wrong with this cafe (apart from its dog welcome which - for me - reduces it from 5* to 4*). So it is difficult to understand why this cafe appears about 2/3 of the way down the list of eating places in Burnham on TA.

Visited burnham for the weekend. Came back to take 2 as we have previously had delicious food and service. How things have changed. The attentive staff have been replaced with staff who seem to be more suited to a greasy spoon truck stop. I was served by a person who I would expect to see in a burger van in a lay-by. I ordered a panini which was clearly thrown together. This was accompanied by the scent of wet dog, muddy paw prints and the smell of stale cigarettes. Having left my pampered pooch for the weekend, yes I do love dogs, I do find it off-putting eating my dinner with a slobbering, wet dog waiting for leftovers. Shame.

I met up with a friend here. I went to the counter to order for the both of us. I ordered a hot chocolate and the lady asked if I wanted it in a glass or tall mug. I asked her what the difference was and she replied that you get more cream in the mug! I asked her about the cakes on show and she very helpfully explained the ingredients and which she would recommend with my hot chocolate. And, it really was a good recommendation! As I had my friend's orders too and didn't have enough hands (!), the lady asked a gentleman (hidden away until now) to bring all the items to the table. I found them a very helpful team.

If you are coming to Burnham-on-sea, always eat where the locals eat as you can be assured of the quality and comfort. This is absolutely true for Take 2- a small cafe tucked away in Chapel Street, where you will find a wide menu with homemade specials and best of all cakes that have just come out of the oven. I can recommend the eccels cakes and bakewall tart, and the rock cakes are to die for. Huge cups of cappucino for under £2, freshly made all served with a warm welcome. Dogs welcome and so are small children who know just how good the milkshakes are.

We shared a meal here with colleagues. The location is great being on the outskirts of Bridgwater, and the building looks and feels like a 'proper' country pub, inside and out. Staff are friendly and efficient, and we all enjoyed our meals. Good selection of local beers and the food menu changes regularly.

Superb atmosphere, the best steak I’ve had in my life! (10oz fillet) chef was so down to earth and welcoming - showed us different cuts of steak and told us about their source. Went above and beyond for service - orders taken quickly and all staff friendly and polite. Felt a very cosy and happy little village pub. Will definitely be back for more steak and the fresh salad bowls that come with it! :) Thank you so much ☺️
