We visited for the first time in June and could not have had a better visit, we could not wait to go back so set out with friends and family, the food was staggered one person ate before the rest arrived, we chased the staff and just got told “it’s coming!” the staff were rude and everything was far too much bother, will not be rushing to go back, especially when creams is round the corner, very sad.

Our visit yesterday was somewhat disappointing whereas we've previously enjoyed our visits to Swirly Joe's. Upon arriving, we noted the smashed window at the front of the restaurant and inside, the decor looked a bit tired and in need of freshing up. The seat covers on the tub chairs also looked tacky. On previous visits, we've enjoyed the atmosphere in Swirly Joe's, however, yesterday it really was a bit bland. The crepe machine was also out of order! I hope they manage to sort themselves out as this used to be a gem of restaurant.

Visit was a let down compared to previous visit before lockdown. The staff were lovely when first ordering , We ordered a sundae but the ice cream had melted within minutes so it resembled cold soup with bits of rock hard chocolate pieces inside , the inside looks tired and the same song played on repeat the whole time we were there. A real shame as we loved out first visit .

As they have just been added on just eat, I decided to give them a try rather than who I would usually go to. The cookie dough was a little more expensive but not far off what I would normally pay. I regretted my decision as soon as it turned up, the cookie dough was tiny (really thin layer) and consequently it hard and burnt. It was disgusting to eat as all you could taste was the burnt part at the bottom of the tray. If you think of trying these out I would honestly urge you to try another dessert place which will be more 'delightful than these.

I visited Swirly Joe's recently and was very impressed. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and made me feel happy and safe with their Covid-19 precautions. The prices and quality of food was good. I am a wheelchair user and found it very accessible with good disabled facilities. I look forward to coming back for more Nutella Crepes and Waffles, they were amazing!! Thank you, Dominic.

Had heard good things about it so decided to try it while in Worcester. We were not disappointed. It was excellent. Great service - staff very helpful. Menu was good - lots of choice. Kids loved it. Food was delicious - an excellent experience

Bright, spacious, friendly staff, much more peaceful than the other major dessert restaurant in Worcester, and the food is delicious! Such a wide choice of desserts and drinks, and the service has always been very quick. I’ve never had any problems here (though the menus are old and could probably do with replacing because they’re looking a bit tatty, though that’s such a minor problem it doesn’t matter!)

The staff were very welcoming and Covid guidelines were observed very well. The desserts came very quickly and were both yummy and well priced . Perfect stop for an afternoon or evening snack

First time there and will never come again. Rude staff, very bad food. Ordered a tea, twice I was given cold water! I dont know if they know how to operate a kettle. When complained, the staff just shrugged and walked away when I was midsentence. AC blasting and the whole place is freezing. People sit in jackets, leave in 10 or 15 minutes. Not recommended.

the service was terrible, i’m not one to leave reviews and especially not of restaurants as i’m a waitress myself but we were told a waitress would be over to take our order and nobody came after 30 minutes one of our party went up to order, both of our orders were cold and took a while to come out which would be understandable but there was only one other table in the restaurant so they weren’t overly busy, tables were left dirty with plates on till the table was needed and the menu looked like a toddler had wiped their grubby hands all over it, didn’t feel very covid secure.

Due to the EOHO scheme we decided to treat ourselves to a date night. SJs is near my house and they have ice cream so I was going to end up here anyway at some point. Glad I came although unfortunately for my waistline I might have to make it a regular thing.Staff were so friendly and welcoming. The milkshakes were to die for and there were so many to choose from. The waffles were so light and fluffy and crispy and perfect.Could have eaten 10. Would reccomend

Staff were super friendly! Manager came over to list vegan options available and was really helpful. Choose the vegan cake and it was unreal, definitely going back! All my groups desserts were excellent too, great service and food!

Took our 3 year old for a treat today, wish we hadn’t! No greeting on arrival, no menus on the table, tatty furniture and absolutely no atmosphere at all! Very ordinary desserts and overpriced! Loo’s smelly too. Won’t be going again!

I recieved melted chocolate with crumpled cookie when I ordered a cookie dough to takeaway. Definitely stay away

Took our students for a Christmas treat today. Sherrelle looked after us like real Vips. Single handedly she made nearly every waffle, crepe and drink on the menu. She even brought us Christmas tree waffles to finish us off! Thank you Sherrelle for making our trip so special.

We were new to Worcester and had the directions been better we would not have found this very pleasant outlet. At first we were concerned as nobody in but we went in anyway. Nice friendly welcome. Excellent coffees, but the bonus was how well they handled my wife's food intolerances. It was no problem and highly successful. We didn't try the really good looking display of ice creams for medical reasons but can guarentee the family siblings will next time. Definitely visit again

There isn’t an alternative menu for people on special diets. I’m on the keto diet and there was nothing I could eat or drink. Perhaps that’s something that could be looked at ?.

Great selection of ice-cream flavours, waffles, crepes , apple crumble and pie, added to that a good selection of drinks and helpful freindly staff.

We love coming here, our children love the icecream, we love the waffles, what more can you ask for?? great desserts made freshly for you, at a sensible price, worth ever penny, who cares if you have a wait for a bit, it's fresh.......

Came here on a busy Saturday where we was just going to an ice cream, but after we saw the look of the fresh waffles we had to have one!! And we were not disappointed, staff were friendly and helpful and the waffle was hot and fresh, my other half was in chocolate heaven!

Visited with a friend for a catch up. It was clean and fresh inside, the service was quick and was nice and cool despite the hot weather outside. We both had cookie dough, which was lovely and preferred it to the chain dessert place up the road. Will definitely be back!

Don’t even know why we have decided to visit this place again. First visit- ordered latte coffee as I was tired on my break at work- that was the biggest mistake I’ve ever done. Coffee taste don’t even know how but what I know is that it was the worst coffee I ever had in my entire life. Crepes- one of their flag desserts- I would expect them to be perfect- unfortunately they weren’t even close to eatable state, whipped cream? The cheapest spray u can get in supermarket? Why would u do that ? I m pretty sure the crepes come from one of the disgusting powder mixes u can get in Asda for £1. And now finally today’s visit- I know we shouldn’t come back but we did- 45 minutes waiting time for wafers crepes and cup of ice cream. Fudge cake on top of my raw in the middle wafers definitely microwaved absolutely boiling inside and Eventually warm on sides ... tones of cheap chocolate sauce ( Belgian chocolate they say in menu) and vanilla ice cream- no vanilla flavour has been found at all. Definitely not coming back at this point. Place looks and smells nice from outside but that’s it.

Have been a few times now, and it's always a mixed experience. The staff are friendly and obviously work hard, but they don't automatically bring any cutlery when they serve the drinks or food. How do they think I'm going to eat my meal?! I also think they need to invest in some more teaspoons and teapots as they ran out. Having said this, the cookie dough was absolutely delicious, and smothered in chocolate. The waffles are also beautifully tasty. Some of the ice-cream is divine, some is truly disgusting. And the hot chocolate tastes like dish water. Still, I will visit again, purely based on the quality of the food.

Met a new friend here today £4 for coffee (refilled) and cake on the mother baby 11-1 deal. Really friendly environment, chatty staff made us feel welcome, very clean, good facilities (no nappy bin) but good clean changing space for baby. Amazing cake and good coffee! Also car parking right outside Definitely going again and recommend to anyone

We went for dessert after lunch in the city. It was quite busy with a children’s birthday party so a little loud. We found a great spot in the window. It was our first trip to swirly joe’s. The service was great we ordered the waffles they were massive!! The lady who served us was lovely polite and friendly. We couldn’t eat it all !! She said don’t worry you can take it way. Would go again as treat. Prices were fair the decor was very nice. Bathroom was clean which is a must.

Went here with a few friends and it wasn’t too busy, but there was still a few people in there. I ordered a waffle which was delicious, and the waiting time was pretty good too. The portions are pretty large but are delicious and I would definitely recommend visiting here.

Me and my boyfriend decided we would pop in as we had not been to swirly joes before. The service was very good, food was good. Unfortunately we did not enjoy the atmosphere due to what seemed like a staff party. We were there for approximately 30 minutes. They had shut off one side of the restaurant, it was very loud and there was alcohol involved and some foul language. As you can imagine it was not appreciated. We proceeded to continue eating our food with annoyance. As we left we looked at the opening hours the restaurant was not due to close until 10pm, meaning that this was happening 3 hours prior to closing. I would understand if it was 30 minutes before closing but it was not!

I decided to visit this place with my friend to discover some puddings which I heard about so much. Lovely place with lot of vintage stuff Massive selection of pudding - waffles, pancakes and ice cream... Portions are very big and always nice presented.

Lovely food and excellent service. The atmosphere is relaxed and lovely. The pancakes are divine with fresh fruit. We will be going back

Came here as usual after going to the Escape Rooms over the road. Quality of desserts was superb as usual. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

A hour for our waffles 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ And we were the only three people in the whole place.. how is that even possible?

We preordered an afternoon tea and chose our sandwich filling a week before. We waited an hour for everything to come separately no tea until hour and five. Still no sandwiches we ended up getting take away boxes to have it at hone. This was for my daughter's birthday and she ended up sobbing. Very upset and disgusted so will never go there again. We have been told that staff did not check the diary as

Ordered what I though was just a milkshake. Turned out to be a sugary supply of goodness! Was well decorated came with warm pieces of fudge cake and tasted yummy! Perfect service too.

Never been before. Carrie and I are initially a little overwhelmed by the choices. But eventually managed to order. Bubblegum and marshmallow waffle, A coke float and two unicorn milkshakes. All delicious, delightful, I loved it. I could feel the sugar melting my teeth.

I stumbled upon this dessert parlour as I was passing by and decided to just take a short stop. I ordered a Salmon and cheese crepe and also a Kinder Bueno milkshake. The food was decent, I wouldn’t rave about it, but the milkshake was really nice. The waitress Rory was really good on the day, greeted with a smile and was actually really helpful. She recommended my order and was spot on for what I wanted on the day. Nothing too much but just the right amount. Inside decor is nice and with the front of the parlour being all glass, it’s really nice eating in when the sun is shining. I’ve read the previous reviews and I’m glad everything was working on my visit!

Our second ever visit and the second time that they couldn't serve ice cream. It's an ice cream shop for heavens sake. No sign on the door or anyone letting us know, we all chose from menu and waited at counter, then told that ice cream was off. Useless useless useless. Go elsewhere please.

Popped in for a quick drink and pancake. Waited about 20 minutes for food and drink. Nobody else in the shop. Pancake came out cold and with ice cream instead of cream, sent it back and they did send a fresh one out. Latte was the worst tasting ever. Staff ok but a bit condescending. Quite pricey as well. Probably won't ever go back.

Food is ok but they made us wait 40m for a couple of crepes. Only one person working, they need to hire extra staff.

The kids will love this place. Deserts galore. This is more of a one off venue from our point of view.

We visited today and ordered 2 savoury items and 2 waffles. The entire order took 40minutes to arrive. The service has a lot to be desired and they need to learn the 'empty hand rule'. The food was nice once it arrives but it took for too long when there were only another 8 people in the place!

We had a really lovely evening at Swirly’s. Our party of 7 all had something different- ranging from shakes and crepes to waffles and cookie dough - and every dish was delicious. The atmosphere and ambience is worth highlighting too. It’s very warm, friendly and cosy, unlike Worcester’s other dessert outlet.

Awesome desert and occasionally live music well worth a look! Loved the waffles and the cookies as there was plenty of desert for what you paid for. Nice staff and generally a good place to get a decent desert in Worcester!:)

Had to wait over half an hour for a coffee and j20. The waffles are good but would not recommend the savoury menu (panini).

Poor service, waited 1hour and 10mins for the last dessert to come out. Not all the food arrived together, came out randomly. Out of stock of two desserts after taking the money and order. One coffee had to be returned after it come out cold.

Food fresh and tasty i had lemon pancakes, Hubby had strawberry pancake with nutella both hot and cooked fresh. Service prompt, staff friendly and polite. Restaurant clean, blues/jazz music playing in background. Cost average. Toilets very clean and modern. A deffinate visit.

Took my son for a half term treat. He absolutely loved it. Excellent service, amazing food. Clean and tidy. Highly recommended

3 of us visited in the evening. Not busy at all. Our order of 3 items-2 of which were the same, took forever and came out one at at time. So much so, that I’d finished my dessert before my friend’s sundae had arrived! The reason given was that they can only make one at a time due to the ice cream being made with milk rather than cream and that it melts quickly. They’d also run out of salted caramel ice cream for the salted caramel sundae. Overall, not very impressed. Everything was far too sweet, slow and very sloppy ‘due to the heat!’

As soon as you walk in your start to crave everything on the menu. I had waffles and strawberry ice cream and partner had pancakes. Both really good.

I preferred the look and feel to this place compared to Cremes so we thought we'd give it a try. If you want a sweet fix you'll not be disappointed - Chocolate indulgence sundae had lots of warm chunky brownie pieces, generous scoops of ice cream and a monumental swirl of cream on top! Enough done to entice me back again anyway!

This parlour is clean, light and airy. It has a reasonable selection of ice cream but the service can be rather slow. It is a good place if you are not in a hurry ! The prices are fair but expect to get your own menu and cutlery. Service is at a minimum but we would return as all is made freshly and served with a smile.

Took the family for a treat on bank holiday after I heard about this from friends. Absolutely amazing. Love the decor & music feels like your in a eatery in London! Fantastic service. So impressed with the staff and how friendly they were. The manager came over to say hello and was really welcoming. Best dessert place in Worcestershire! Cannot wait to come down again! Well done!

Rude waitress, long wait for food, chocolate tasted cheap.

My friend and I decided to try this place instead of creams. It was a Wednesday night so it was quiet. Before we ordered, a group of guys did turn up and ordered before us. We waited for about 15 minutes in the queue. We both ordered 2 scoops of ice cream each and that was it.

Visited a couple of days ago as we were keen to try it out due to it being newish to the town. The eating area was ok but had strange decor which was very dirty!

We've been here a few times now and it's the best desert place in the area bar none. All depending on what your hungry for they cater for most tastes and pallets. It does get very busy here so try and go when it's quiet so you get quicker service

The venue and decor was good as was the menu choice but that it where it ends! The quality of the food was poor, crockery and glasses not clean and the food was sloppy and sickly! The peanut butter cookie dough was like a slightly cooked crumble. Overall, very disappointed and won't go there again!

Waited 30 mins for two scoops of icecream. When I asked at the counter I was told it was because there was a queue of orders....Meanwhile the girl working there was cleaning tables that hadn't been used. Seems very disorganised

Atmosphere was lovely, modern furniture and nice surroundings. Delightful staff. Food and milkshake was amazing, and huge considering how cheap it is. Would definitely recommend.

We ordered cappuccino coffee. Which was very good after I spent a couple of minutes explaining how I like it.

I visited here with two friends and I can't quite make up my mind about it. I liked the decor, it was quirky and something different. We sat around the corner next to a big old fashioned book case. I had a crepe which was lovely to begin with but it was just too sickly. There was so much chocolate sauce on it that I couldn't taste anything else (and normally I'd say you can't have too much chocolate!). Someone else had the cookie dough which again was nice to start with but it was oily and quite greesy after a while. I'm not sure I'd visit again because I have been to other dessert parlours in Worcester that I prefer. However the staff were really friendly and helpful. The only other issue was that our desserts did not arrive at the same time.

Me: babychino and a pot of earl grey please Inept server: is that sweet or savoury? Me: ? Turns out she thought earl grey was a type of pancake. Service actually got worse from there. Which is quite an achievement when you think about it.

The food was nice when it finally got to us! It wasn't even that busy and took them about 30 minutes to bring out 2 things and about 50 minutes by the time we all got our orders! Some of it was wrong and the tea was cold, wouldn't go again!

Food was brilliant and definitely a good price but big downside was the wait. It was half an hour before drinks came and 45mins before our food came. But overall a nice restaurant with lovely food

Arrived at 2:35, went to order and got told there was no hot food being served as there was a technical issue (the host could of told us before we sat down and looked at the menu) that would be solved in about half an hour. Left and came back and ordered straight away at 3:19, waited 50 minutes for a crepe and waffle. Asked how long food was going to be and they didn't have a reason for the wait...told it would be 15 minutes. 10-15 minutes later, food arrived along with free drinks. Waffle was cold and hard.

Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon. Booked a table for 6 people and a pushchair which they had no record of upon us turning up- staff did find us a table but it was very squished as it was meant for 4!..... not a great start after taking the time to call in advance.

Went into Worcester looking for gelato when driving between Crewe and Bristol. Found this place on trip advisor and thought was worth a try. We had scoured the menu before arriving and thought it sounded amazing! On arrival we were promptly shown to a table in the window, which in hindsight was a mistake as got very hot! We ordered and had to wait, which wasn't an issue as was an acceptable length of wait. When the sundaes came they hadn't bought the chocolate sauce which should have come with my partners, and put the wrong ice cream in, was meant to have salted caramel but they had put in extra chocolate! We alerted the staff to this within a couple of minutes of the sundaes arriving but they didn't do anything until we were leaving the restaurant where my partner was then given an extra scoop of salted caramel in a take away pot, which was nice but almost too late by then as the bad feeling was already there.... The chocolate fudge cake on his chocolate fudge Sunday tasted really fake and artificial.

Popped in on a quiet Tuesday night with my partner and the decor and music was great. Seated promptly with menus ready to get ordering, there is a vast and great varied selection of desserts to choose from.

Went with my young children as a treat and all very excited. Very quiet on a Sunday afternoon and still no one showed us to a seat, where it clearly states this will happen. We looked at menus and decided on the options, at the counter I was told that they had run out of salted caramel ice cream (one disappointed child). My son is not very adventurous with ice cream flavours and loves vanilla. I asked if he could have a vanilla sundae with wafers etc, this is not an option on the menu but surely plain vanilla ice cream is a staple ingredient in an ice cream shop. I was told that they didn't do plain vanilla sundaes, but have loads of other flavours. I explained that my son likes vanilla but still no budging or possibly understanding from the waitress. We promptly left and went to Creams over the road, we were served a vanilla sundae and all other flavours were in stock, plus cheaper. They also served smaller sundaes for children.

Went in on a sunday morning on the off chance after shopping.Impressed in how its been furnished to a modern standard.The waitress was very welcoming and served us straight away.There were quite a few in there at the time all families and all enjoying themselves by the look of it.On this occasion only had a coffee but was served by a very well presented chap who made sure we were looked after.Will return for food next time.

This place was a thinker, especially since it is new in Worcester. I will be honest and critical as usual... It looks great from the outside. A fresh new shop in a previously barren space. The inside is decorated beautifully. They did a great job of making it look inviting, warm and comfy. We were greeted and seated by a very friendly and well groomed gentleman and looked after.

Just a short review to comment on the fantastic dessert experience we've just had at Swirly Joe's. This is a new venture and one we hope will thrive.

Came Tuesday and today. Very nice surroundings and friendly staff. Parking opposite is an added bonus 30p for 30 mins or 70p and hour. Fresh modern restaurant serving waffles, crepes afternoon tea and savoury. We've been to the competitor creams but this is far nicer. £17, for 2 waffles and a bubblegum ice cream. If they did some kind of loyalty stamp, discount days/hours in the week say 5-7 that would really appeal to me. Will definitely keep using. Lovely place

Just visited Swirly Joe's for the first time with my husband and a 1 year old baby and can't recommend it enough!

We visited this afternoon and ordered Ice Cream Sundaes - Chocolate & Bubblegum flavours and they tasted amazing. Like, literally I haven't got one negative thing to say about the whole experience. The staff were so friendly and attentive, really quick service and the prices are so cheap for such generous portions of desserts. They offer savoury food items on the menu as well and as they haven't been open for very long, this visit was very eagerly anticipated and I couldn't recommend it enough. Whilst Creams is just up the street, hands down I much prefer this place any time, and I'll be telling all my friends to come visit as well. Such professional, supreme service. Really, very well done!
