"You could have a take-away tea..." Just the thing after a day's walk...Why not serve it and close the door? Or say you close at 3.30pm. The cakes looked great. Lovely little cafe in Marshfield. My parents live in the village but we have never been in the cafe before. We will definitely make a beeline for the all day breakfasts next time we visit. Food is made to order so isn't instant but does comes out lovely and fresh. Had a pot of tea which was lovely to be served in a china cup. I had the muffin breakfast which was bacon, poached eggs and mushrooms on a muffin. Perfectly cooked, nice and hot and so nice to have proper portabellow mushrooms that actually tasted like a mushroom instead of those pale watery white button things that are usually served. . . .

Visited today for brunch with a friend. This cafe is really quaint and cute with really pretty mismatched old fashioned china. The decor is homely and warming and not stuffy at all. The service was good and the staff were friendly however the food let them down a little. I ordered poached eggs on toast with a side of mushrooms. When the food arrived our orders were a bit mixed up, however this was not really a big deal and easily sorted by moving food from one plate to another. The other disappointing thing is that my poached eggs were quite over cooked, the yolks were pretty much entirely solid. Then when went I payed I was charged wrong and ended up paying for some of my friends meal - again not a problem between friends but a little annoying.

Diverted off the M4 to visit after finding on trip advisor. A lovely little tea shop with a very appealing menu and delicious cakes. Friendly service. Car park behind the tea shop.

Came across this Teashop by chance and am I glad we did. For a Teashop in a small village the menu was extensive and everything was home made and freshly cooked. It is most definitely worth a detour if you are anywhere near Marshfield. I recommend the lemon layer cake absolutely delicious. Do go you wont be disappointed

As someone who travels the United Kingdom on a regular basis, i am always on the look out for excellent teashops, and as i wandered through the beautiful village of Marshfield i stumbled across by far the most fantastic Teashop in my memory. The food is stunning, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the service was that of dreams. You feel so welcomed as soon as you step foot through the door, and a young waitress who goes by the name of Amy made my brilliant stay in the teashop even more special. You could go to London, Paris, Rome or wherever, but if you want fantastic service, brilliant value for money, and the greatest experience of your life, then look no further than Marshfield's Sweet Apples Teashop.

In Marshfield to visit NGS open gardens and stopped here brunch. Had English breakfast muffin with eggs, bacon and mushrooms and pot of earl grey tea. All attractively presented, beautifully cooked, pleasant and friendly service. Would recommend

Bircher muesli very yummy- inspired me to start doing my own as I cannot pop in easily as am 100 miles away. Their field mushrooms were the best I have ever tasted. The flat white coffee - the milk was thin not frothy. However we all enjoyed our food and service very friendly.

We popped in for a quick lunch during a week away in Marshfield. The food was absolutely lovely and the service was spot on. The main eating area is characterful and we could've happily eaten here every day of the week!

Came across Marshfield by chance but it is delightful. It even has a village store lined with wooden shelves (memories of The Two Ronnies sketch) The lunch was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced and the service was efficient and friendly. You can also get sandwiches, pasties and cakes to take out and there is plenty of nearby countryside to enjoy a picnic.
