What an amazing place.so relaxing. The staff were fantastic can’t fault them. They really went the extra mile for our large party . There was 22 of for an evening meal the quality of food was second to none and on top of that all our meals was fetched out at the same time. This is now my favourite place. Hats off to you all

First visit. Good food and service.

Went for a drink, waited 10 minutes and no service so we left. Bar staff walked past 3 times and ignored us. Was too busy putting straws in a pint glass to serve. Wouldn’t go again. Believe the owner is leaving, hope the place improves. Restaurant is lovely.

Been here a few times. I will also keep coming back. Food is lovely and a good price .I couldnt fault it. Loved that they do small plates as well The staff were very nice and our order was correct, A lovely place to have a birthday meal. Give it a try you wont be sorry. Highly recommend

I came here for lunch with 3 family members we all enjoyed our meals 2 lamb and 2 vegetarian, after dining 3 of us wanted coffee and when I asked if they had oat or any alternative to milk coz I was lactose intolerant the waitress said No to which I was surprised, she didn’t even go and check. What is the point of offering vegetarian and vegan food if you don’t have dairy free milk, vegan desserts or ice cream options, surely it makes sense to have these on offer. Waitress didn’t ask if any of us had any allergies before we ordered which is a question we all commented on, this should be in staff training but she did keep asking if we wanted any more drinks, I bet that was in her training!!!!

I came today for lunch with 3 other family members, 2 of us had lamb and the other 2 had vegetarian. After the meal 3 of us asked for coffee and I asked if they had any oat milk as I am lactose intolerant but the waitress said No without even checking. Why do you offer vegetarian and vegan meals on your menu if you don’t offer alternative dairy free milk or any vegan desserts. The waitress also never asked if any of us had any allergies surely this should be in their training!!! but she was quick enough to keep asking if we needed any more drinks. This was a return visit to Swan & Cemetery having not been for some time. Very disappointing as the quality of service/food has declined severely. Ordered Beef Wellington and Sirloin steak for mains. Food poorly presented, Sirloin steak undercooked while the veg was overcooked. Food overall lacked any real taste. Sticky toffee pudding & Chocolate fudge cake. Both ok at best. Unfortunately we won’t be returning to the Swan & Cemetery.

Went for a simple lunch. Orders 1 - lamp hot pot. Food was tasty but only lukewarm had to send it back for reheating.Dish came back with gravy all over the side of the bowl and plate. Other metal was fish and chips. when served the batter around the fish was grey and soggy and inedible. Fish inside was OK but for £15 one would have expected any chef would have been able cook fish and chips correctly. Complaint made about the meal when plates collected but no mention of the issue or apology given when the bill was being paid. Needless to say a last visit to this establishment.

We went for Festive menue 5th December 24..we enter the restraunt it was freezing cold and given a table near open door waiting a delivery the restrauant was not busy staff apologised but no alternate table offered sat with coats on through meal. Ordered festive meal staff came through 3 crackers on table .. meal came swimming in gravy and the most insipped looking part cooked meal at £21.95 Each. We paid and left. I wrote to Manager on the 7th Dec he did even bother to contact me . Thus is are local but wont go again and will certainly not recommend to friends and family

Nice friendly place this. Good menu choices. We were there for a family Birthday, with age ranges from 7yrs to 80. Overall the food was very good. The service was excellent. The dessert portions were quite small for the price but we’d dine here again for sure.

Christmas Day visit, party of 5 of us. Place was set out very nice, staff were fabulous The food was excellent served piping Hot. We all had turkey with trimmings There were crackers on table which was nice. Very clean place. Highly recommended

Went here on Christmas day for a 3 course meal. Had Pate for starters, and the Pate was freezing like it had just been taken out of the fridge. For mains I had beef Wellington which was ok but I had to ask for Gravy, I had a cheese board for desert and yet again the onion chutney was freezing like it had literally just been taken out of fridge and put on plate. Others who had a full turkey dinner didn't get yorkshire puddings or cauliflower cheese like we were told on the phone. I wouldn't normally moan about a meal, but when you spend over £80 per head, you expect a lot more than what was put in front of us.

Best Christmas dinner I had the soul my wife the pate and onion chutney delicious was her words both had the beef wellington cooked to perfection followed by the cheese board and cheesecake both really nice and tasty will definitely be booking again for next year

Hi, just eaten here i had 8 oz fillet steak served with NO steak knife ordered wine but given a different wine option not happy diner then to top it we both have bad guts ( trots) my partner had steak & ale pie said pastry not cooked ...

We had our Christmas meal here. The waitresses were polite and attentive. And the food was hot and very nice. I had the Winter Soup and Turkey dinner. Nice size portion. One very minor issue, and almost not worth mentioning, but one of the pigs in blanket on my plate wasn't cooked enough. But they were more than happy to take my plate back and bring me a well done one, very quickly. Very nice as an overall meal. Will dine there again soon.

My husband and I visited for the first time, and we both enjoyed it very much. The pub and restaurant are both beautifully decorated, which created a very festive atmosphere. We were seated quickly, and the serving ladies were all very polite and helpful. I had the pate and traditional Christmas dinner while the hubby had soup and the Christmas dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection and very tasty, especially the turkey and the mash. We will definitely be back in the future. Merry Christmas.

Despite some negative ratings we decided to try for ourselves. We found the restaurant very pleasant, the staff very good, and best of all the meal excellent, and reasonably priced. We will definitely go again.

Can't fault the experience here but, like all pub companies and breweries, the beer is dear.

Sunday Roast amazing. I had the beef with 2 thick slices provided, my son had the chicken (almost half a bird!). Great value for money. Cooked to perfection!

Dry and hard lamb shank, rest of the food just feels like warmed up frozen stuff. Gloopy gravy was very disappointing. I’ll give a star cause my pint was not flat though. Friendly staff just very sad food :’(

I had initially thought this place was ok on having been a few times, but last night changed my overall opinion. I had a family meal here on Friday and there seems to have been an issue with a female causing trouble inside the pub, which we had no knowledge of or, involvement with. Whilst vaping outside and completely unaware of this trouble, she approached myself and my dad and started to chat. A few moments later, a male member of staff approached us telling us what had happened and that she'd been ejected, to which we were surprised but did say "nothing to do with us", several times. This seemed to fall on deaf ears and a cocky young upstart began to be difficult with me right at the door because I had briefly chatted to her, just as I would anyone else. Won't be going back. Food was ok and the girls waiting on are fantastic, but aside form that, not the greatest. I think the guy near the bar hammered falling all over everyone would have been more concerning to monitor, not a family out for a meal or someone already outside of the pub, who wasn't causing further issues.

Expected more, visited on a Wednesday night, one person serving which was slow and waitress seemed very disengaged. Food average at best some of the mixed grill tasted like rubber, other table sending back food.Not a great experience.

Worst meal ever. Quick service and friendly staff. Restaurant was was almost empty and know we know why. 2 of the meals were literally children's portions and cold! Visited the ladies toilets and they were filthy. WILL NOT BE RETURNING!

Abysmal portion of gravy & veg, charged for a extra portion of watery overcooked cabbage after being given just 4 sprigs of emaciated asparagus with a small, albeit a nicely cooked beef wellington. Very disappointed. Won't eat here again.

We stumbled across this gem The Swan & Cemetery whilst out on a drive on the 22/07/24 . First impressions on the outside are a well looked after establishment . When you get inside it’s beautifully decorated . The bar area is really big so there’s no shortage of room to order your drinks and bar food. We decided to eat in the restaurant part of The Swan & Cemetery . The restaurant is a very modern design with lots of natural light beautiful decor . We ordered a couple of drinks to start with . Then chose our food which was Fish & chips and I had the gammon & chips . Both meals were cooked to perfection and piping hot when it arrived at our table . We had a lovely server this afternoon she was very polite and friendly and professional. We had a little chat on our way out which was nice . We shall definitely be back again in the near future.

We have just finished our lunch. My wife ordered a lamb Sunday lunch, and received a beef Sunday lunch. The roast potatoes were under cooked and not roasted at all. The gravy and cauliflower cheese were tasteless. My chips were under cooked. The ketchup was certainly not Heinz, and was tasteless. But on a positive note, my burger was really good. We will not be going back.

Visited on a quiet weekday in a party of three. Service was really good, nice helpful member of staff really friendly. The food was ok. Just ok. Parking is free and right outside and the beer garden looked lovely.

Marked atmosphere down 1 star as we were at a funeral.

The service was so slow we were shown to our table we waited 15 minutes for our drinks to come then another 20 minutes for our starter that was only OK I had chicken curry the chicken was in perfectly square shape as if frozen we were in an hour and half for that the table in front of us wasn't cleared although the waitress walked past it several times. I think we'll give it a miss for awhile it used to be lovely. What's happened?

Very poor service. Had to keep asking for things that they didn't bring. Asked for a sweet menu. They didn't even bring that so we just paid the bill and left. And it wasn't even that busy.

Ignore any negative reviews. Just swerve past them without a thought. This is such a great place. Friendly and pleasant, accommodating and the food is just lovely. We had the vegetarian ’fish’ and chips, we sat outside and it was just delightful.

Really great location and service was good although the food needs a massive improvement they can’t boast that they’ve got the best Sunday dinner around because it’s far from that. don’t like posting negative reviews but I feel that saying that they’ve got the best Sunday dinner in the area is a big ask. I will be going back in the next couple of months. Hope they improve and I can change this review.

We were a party of 3, including my 92 year old father-in-law, and did not book beforehand. I had chicken fillet, chips, and veg, and my wife and Germany dad had fish & chips. They both said their food was nice and hot and was delicious. My meal was also tasty. Service was excellent despite the waitress having to cover all the tables in the restaurant part of the pub. Although the car park is quite small, we easily found a space close to the entrance. I think they have an overflow car park available as well. We'll be visiting again and recommend others to do so.

After our last visit where the service and staff were brilliant, we decided to take my mum In law and her brother for Sunday lunch. The food was again fantastic but the staff were lack lustre at best, there was plenty of staff but they all seemed to be looking and talking to each other we waited 30 minutes for anyone to come to the table for our sweet order but we decided it may not be the best decision, so instead paid and left. May swerve going for a while.

Had small Sunday roast. One tiny piece of beef. Two roast potatoes which looked like they had been done in the chip pan. One overcooked parsnip. Mash and carrots ok. Won’t be having another.

Had a lovely early tea with family, we all enjoyed our meals very much and a decent price for the quality of the food and experience.

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish by the bar staff and also Danny the chef. The food was great and they made sure we had everything we needed. My parents would like to thank the girls on the bar and the chef for making their evening relaxed and enjoyable ☺️

A tiny bit dearer than some pubs but the food is always Excellent. Worth paying the tiny bit more.

I have been here so many times over the years and the food has always been good. Today for my birthday, my mum, sister and I thought we’d would book. We haven’t been for a good while so I don’t know if the cooks changed but the batter on my Mums fish was pale instead of the normal golden brown and the batter wasn’t cooked, the chips were horrible and soggy as if the oil wasn’t hot enough this may account for the fish batter too. The service was good the meals were well below what I’ve had here previously. Very disappointed especially as it was my birthday treat off the family!

I ate here two weeks ago, the owner came over to the side of me and spat in the bin narrowly missing my daughter in her pram and when questioned he said he wished he’d have not missed. Nob head. Don’t recommend this place

Was really looking forward to my first visit after hearing positive comments and reading good reviews. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. The food was OK but nothing more than that. Steak was good but the chips were pretty tasteless and the carbonara dish resembled a microwave ready meal. The cheesecake was still frozen when it was served to me so was more like lemon meringue ice cream. Service was a plus point, both waitresses we had were informative, quick and friendly.

Cold this evening for a 60th birthday, superb service and atmosphere. Food was amazing. I had a beautiful pate starter, a gorgeous mixed grill. My wife had the Manchester tart followed by sirloin steak. Gorgeous with a nice bottle of prosecco.

Love this place and was looking forward to my chili jacket potato. Disappointed. Very thin and watery not at all as meaty and rich as before. Seemed to have padded it out with veggies. However, service and atmosphere good as usual.

No atmosphere. Dirty tables. Large dog asleep at an empty table of six on the banquette seating. Only one unflavoured gin on offer which was Gordons. Thankfully only there for drinks because the food on the next table looked atrocious! Two lovely girls serving at the bar who were your only redeeming feature. So disappointed.

Had Sunday roast, booking 5.00pm, lovely staff. There was no chicken left,had beef instead the meal was nice but think they had run out of parsnips as we all got one tiny piece?did mention to staff but got no reply?. Had jam roll poly with custard, roly poly was dry. Overall was ok.

The missus and I ordered the lamb casserole. It came with burnt sliced potato on top. I sent mine back and ordered something else, which I received 10 minutes later, obviously after everyone else had eaten theirs. The missus had hers as she was hungry, and the server said that she would that the 2 dishes off the bill. Unfortunately, only 1 was taken off. I've had previous good experiences here, but today's wad not up to par.

Went for drinks on Christmas Day around 2/3pm. The pub was very busy, the two lads behind the bar were rushed off their feet but handled it very well. I’d say it was probably understaffed. Even though they were so busy they still made time to make sure we had a lovely Christmas. Hope this gets back to them because they were a credit. Will definitely return. Had a fantastic time. Thank you.

Went for Xmas Dinner with my partner and parents. The food was lovely - I don't think anyone left anything at all on the plates!! We all had different meals and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Service was great, not too rushed and with sufficient gaps in between courses. The chef came out too for a chat which was really nice too. A lovely way to spend Xmas Day .
