Sushi Fusion in Brighton and Hove

I get you’re not supposed to review for too good to go on here. As it’s probably not meant for it. But the sushi is bomb even for that. 4 quid for 14£ worth of sushi I got. Don’t listen to the 1 star reviews trashing this place for it. Those reviews should get removed because they don’t get how the app works. The sushi was amazing. reckon I’ll come here and try it properly. The katsu curry was only 7.50 not including student discount. Haven’t seen that any other place. Wish this place all the best 👌🏻

Highly recommend this restaurant. Katsu curry absolutely delicious and big portions. Value for money , speedy delivery via Deliveroo and it’s our 2nd time we ordered this week. The menu box 1 salmon nigiri was so fresh! Unbelievable portions. AMAZING!

Wow the food was so perfect! The crispy prawn roll was AMAZING! The staff were very friendly and made edits for our specific needs. The food came out quick! The Katsu curry was delicious. Xxx definitely will come back again and again with friends to show them how ace it is !!

Sushi is good but staff are very rude

Look my order on Uber Eats on a bank holiday Sunday but cancelled it more than an hour after telling me it was on its way. It appears the greedy restaurant was taking more orders than it could fulfil. No offer of any discount next time to compensate for ruining our dinner plans and leaving us in the lurch.

Popped in for lunch, it was amazing! Best nigiri I've had, gyoza was delicious, and firecracker fusion roll was just right spicy and tasty. Will be having lunch here as much as possible :) (and the prices are good too)

Definitely one of the bests sushi I’ve ever had. I wasn’t expecting the food to be so good, because it was my first time there. I could see how the owners really cared about the place. It’s small and not fancy, but simply a cosy & fantastic food! I intend to go back! :)

Lovely interesting decor and atmosphere matched by excellent food and wines. Staff helpful fitting us in without a booking although the restaurant was busy, and the service was efficient.We would recommend this place to friends.

Had the biggest soup to start followed by mussels and fries from the specials menu and a chocolate pudding with ice cream to finish. Helpful staff and nice pub

We went here having seen that they offered tofish (vegan nearest eqiv. to fish and chips, with tofu cooked in seaweed and batter). The tofish itself was good, and the chips (or rather 'wedges') tasty but not numerous. The muzac was loud enough to drive us to find a table as far from the loudspeakers as possible and be dubious about coming back again. The nearby 'Dorset Arms' and 'Office' pubs offer better ciders.

It is the repeat of all Costa Coffee outlets but was needed in this new renovation of the Pavilion Industry Park but did mean the mobile cafe was moved on. It has outside seating and is quite roomy inside. Will do well when the supermarket opens next door! Plenty of parking and disabled access.

Stumbled across this gem of a restaurant on my way to SeaLife, popped in to grab some sushi - oh my goodness it was amazing!!! Wish it was local to me, I'd be a regular but I will certainly be going back next time I'm in Brighton!

Great place, lovely surrounding and nice snug inside area and their prices are the cheapest I’ve ever seen for Japanese food would highly recommend and one of the cheapest places to get food on the beach I’d say £12 for me and my friend and lovely people to so polite and welcoming, shame I didn’t get a picture of the food since it was such high quality

I used to order very often from sushi fusion, it was really good and quality but now I don't know what happened the quality has changed. unfortunately this will be the last time I will eat from you. really a shame

This place serves some really nice sushi and it's run by some really nice people. I have been ordering from sushi fusion two years now and the food is always good quality. When I was a student and the restaurant offered 10% off for students, the owner still applied the 10% off, even in days when I have forgotten my student ID. The one time that my order was delayed and I called them, the staff very nicely and politely apologized and told me that they were very busy. After that, had my order in 10 minutes' time. Is it the place that I would recommend for a date or for enjoying beautiful surroundings? Probably not, because the restaurant itself its plain and simple, but I would definitely recommend ordering, as the food is top quality and the people deserve all the good reviews they have received.

The owner make me leave before I made my order making a drama that I need to use a toilet before. Very nice and polite staff but owner in my opinion is a bit inhuman. I will not come back to this place there is no spirit and no atmosphere there.

A fantastic restaurant with fair rate! I’ve never been to another sushi restaurant since my Japanese friend took me there. I mainly ordered sushis and they’re all very delicious and original! If you have problem having raw fish then crunchy breaded prawns should be a good choice. (Sorry, too tasty to take any photos before eating lol) Don’t know why there are some negative comments which stopped my local friends to come with me. And that’s why I write this review. Owners won’t say too much or be over enthusiastic to the customer but definitely NOT rude! Sometimes I even read for a while after having food and owners never disturb me!

Me and my kids came there on the go. The man who welcomed us was really busy but found the time to place us. He had time for a friendly chat and not given us the idea he had no time. i have nothing to comment on the food itself but i would not recommend buying a too good to go bag from here. my order was cancelled while i was waiting in the queue, staff were rude and just told me that my order was “not a priority”, and that the last bag had been given away - despite the fact that I was on time, had already paid for it hours in advance, and had already gone to collect it. complete waste of time.

Me and my girlfriend always order from here and everytime it's brilliant, great katsu curry, fresh sushi and the best prawn tempura in Brighton and is always on time. Don't believe those 1 star reviews seems like there's some real petty people around. Fantastic place all round and I look forward coming in person soon

Nightmare trying to get a delivery from this place! Ordered delivery, accepted and waited 90 mins for it to be delivered. Order was then abruptly cancelled with no communication, apology, anything. Don't waste your time if you'd actually like to receive some food.

I’ve read some of the reviews and I honestly don’t think the authors have actually visited. It’s disappointing that an individual can post a bad review without ever stepping foot inside the premises. We had a table of 4 and spent the evening in the mesmerising company of the hot chef, the noodles, teriyaki, in fact everything were incredible. I didn’t have my phone, which is a shame because I would have loved to take some photos of the food and presentation.

Worst place ever. The owner is the most impolite and bitter person I've met in a long time. He didn't want to give me a small paper bag for 2 boxes of sushi I ordered because he said "bags cost money" to him and I could carry the boxes on my own. Also the sushi leaves much to be desired. There are a lot of places in Brighton with much better sushi. Avoid this place.

im a japanese food fanatic so i can be pretty picky, but this restaurant is amazing!! i ordered from them on uber eats and they followed my order notes and were quick and reliable. everything i ordered had salmon, and it was great quality. i definitely will order here again :)

Partner is obsessed with sushi at the moment so thought we would try this out. It is a small restaurant and didn’t have everything on the menu available but what we ordered was made fresh. The people’s working were professional and helpful. The food was a bit pricey but all tasted lovely

The staff was rude without any reason and from the owners reply to other google reviews it seems like they would rather push away potential customers than actually fixing the attitude problem, owner is incredibly defensive against any sort of criticism. Do yourself a favour and take your business some place else

Insanely rude staff - not very Brighton. Barked commands at me as I was picking up, didn't wear a mask either. I'll be taking my business to one of the many other amazing sushi places in Brighton. Can I give zero stars?

I ordered my dinner on the 5th of July, I waited for more than 1.30hr for the food and once when the driver got here not only late but all the food was on the ground due to the package of the food, it was only in one paper bag which it was wet and not strong enough. Once the incident happened I called the restaurant to let them know the situation and see where we stand out with my dinner, the person on the phone was not only rude, was disrespectful and shouting and told me that, it was not his business and that the incident has to do with the driver and practically washed his hands out, after shouting cut the call. I was charged £33.24 for food I never had, it is sad on you Sushi Fusion because after trying to speak with the person on the phone I was told that I should not use your services and find another restaurant for future orders.. I was very happy with my previous orders even though always something goes wrong with you guys, after what happend yesterday sadly I will not order again. N. 4A1B2

One of the best katsu I have had in my live and the staff are very kind.

Expensive for frozen gyoza and what I would describe as student noodles! Flavours in noodles seemed confused and thrown together, also greyish and a but slimy! Feel bad for the manager/owner/person who served me! Chef seemed far to involved in the conversation he was having over listening to the orders being out through! No ticket written for what I could see, so maybe things could start to get confused!

Top tier sushi place - really good location as well. Perfect as we were tourists exploring the area and this restaurant was very close to where we stayed. It was great to buy a few trays of food and take it to the beach as it was close by to watch the sunset or have a few drinks depending on how we were feeling! Crunchy salmon box and teriyaki poke bowl - 10/10 much nicer than going to a chain restaurant. I wouldn't necessarily listen to the bad reviews here - the food is top quality and while the staff can seem a little intimidating at first glance they are honestly quite friendly and nice.

Awful, I would leave zero star if I could. I went to collect my order and the manager was incredibly rude.The order wasn't ready and he wanted to cancel it and told me to sort it out myself without even apologising. He was NOT wearing a face mask and kept going back and forth from the kitchen to the till. I will NEVER visit this place again! Worst customer service I've ever experienced!

There's not many sushi places make good "Sushi", 90 percent are not even sushi, 5 percent are just not good enough. They make sushi I really enjoy.

The sauce was nasty and tasteless. The only thing that was alright was the rice, but then it is hard to screw that up. Will stick to kokoro in future. Better value for money and much better quality. Is this the best sushi in Brighton? I think so! Cor those gyoza are the perfect mix of crispy and squidgy, and don’t get me started on the vinaigrette. Wow. Punchy and lip smackingly tangy. Sushi was wonderful too!! I recommend the crunchy spicy prawn. Thanks guys 🐣

The other weekend I took a different friend for lunch on site for the first time. Good central Brighton location, near Revenge, with a table outside. We both ordered the duck noodles with a tray of sushi to share for a starter. Very hungry customers. Sushi was flavourful and well made; salmon, tuna steak, and perfectly ripe avocado. The noodles were so fresh, with generous helpings of duck. Eye-opening deliciousness. At first I thought the noodles looked on the small side, but the entire meal was more than enough! With drinks, it cost under £25 for two. Decent price for a superior meal, would recommend.

I have been in this restaurant just once because I am not living in Brighton but if I were living there I will go almost every weeks. Price are excellent and the food no words to describe it but amazing. Check the pictures and you will see the food quality. Top restaurant!!!

The crunchy veg sushi is really good! Sushi can be so boring when you're vegetarian but they've made the effort to spice it up which I appreciate. Better veg sushi options than your big sushi chains.

Perfect lunch time spot. Had the tuna firecracker, duck noodles and gyozas. All of which were perfect. Highly recommend! Service was beyond good and was vibes man!
