Very rude and nasty owner and staff, let them know they missed an item we ordered and they started shouting at us and saying we were trying to get somthing free. DONT USE this shop and hopfully they will go out of buisness soon

Use very often, always busy. Friendly staff and clean looking shop. Haddock and chips always good. I've noticed the fish is never greasy like over takeaways in the area. Curry sauce is always a winner. Busy times you do wait a bit longer but food quality is always of the usual good standard., so is worth waiting for. Will keep coming back.

I visited Tuesday evening as a change from other fish and chip shops in Newhaven and was very impressed. The staff were friendly and the chips the best I’ve had in the area. Will definitely use again.

Usually I only review restaurants, cafes and hotels but this take-away fish and chips shop needs proper attention. Previous reviews are terrible but I think they are old, The young man serving in theie now is charming, helpful, friendly and he's trying to get back on his feet now with the business after a long break. During the lockdown I missed him very much on Tuesday nights when I became a regular but I have been going in agajn now and the plaice with his thin batter is to die for - as delicious as ever. Chips are brilliant, too, Do yourself a favour and get in there. I think it is the best f and c in the vicinity.

if you like white soggy greasy chips and pre-battered small portions of cod, this is the place for you. quite possibly the worst fish and chips i`ve had in 30 years

Visited Superfry and ordered two pieces of fish, two spring rolls and a large portion of chips.When I was given the food and told the price I thought it was very expensive. I queried the price and was told that it was correct. When I opened it on arriving home I found that there was an extra piece of fish.Hence the high price. The fish didn't taste too bad but, the chips were very greasy and soggy. The spring rolls were also covered in batter which is unusual. The batter was so thick that we couldn't cut it and it was very difficult to chew so most of it wasn't eaten.In all a very disappointing expensive meal. We wont be returning.

Standard of the fish and chips has declined dramatically since the change of ownership. This used to be the best fish and chip shop for miles around but now it's the poorest. Someone needs to show these people how to make batter. The batter on our fish was hard, too thick and it was an effort to find the fish. The chips were again hard, dry and we wondered if they'd re-cooked leftovers from lunchtime? Overall a very poor meal and we were unable to eat it. We won't be visiting this establishment again. Avoid.

Being a delivery driver can make you very Hungary so finding this little chip shop made my day good portion sizes served quickly with very good manners at good prices and very hot and cooked well when you receive your food!

Popped into here on the way home and bought cod and chips.It was about 8.45 in the evening and I got the impression that they were starting to clear up for the day.When I got home and unwrapped the food I found that the chips were all dry and hard.They had obviously been reheated.Most of them were thrown away.The fish was cooked perfectly and was delicious.Even so I wont be going back!
