Always good service and lovely food!

This was without doubt the best Cod and Chips I’ve ever had, and I grew up by the seafront so I don’t say that lightly.. absolutely cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Everything was cooked fresh and was excellent quality

Great fish and chips, they get busy on weekends but only a small wait.

Went to R & B for fish and chips today & I thought it was great. Friendly service, Large portions, freshly cooked and very tasty. Dropped one star as two of our party asked for 'lightly battered' and said it was too much batter. But what I had was great & I'm sure I'll be back.

Food ok. People not rude but just ok. Just the typical make your order at the till, shut your mouth and wait for your food type of thing. Little puppies not allowed to even be carried while making an order. Food is ok but oilier than other chippies I've been to. Also 60p for a sachet of mayo, ketchup or other sauces so better to buy these in costcutter. Also they don't accept orders to be paid by card if not over £5 so I had no choice but to buy a bigger size ketchup and mayo next door (at least I could take the rest home). To wrap it up, I'd go here again if I was desperate for fish and chips.

Spur of the moment decision to have fish and chips for lunch, drove up from the sea front to have a scout around, found this place by chance, parked outside the door, went in, ordered, waited 10 mins for food to cook, took back to the beach to consume and battle the swooping seagulls! Very very surprised… chips were wonderful quality great big chips beautifully cooked and tasted fantastic. Medium cod was decent size, batter light and crispy, cod very fresh, cooked perfectly, moist tasty and dense a really filling meal. Well done you guys, I will recommend you to F and F and will definitely be back next time I’m in Seaford. Absolutely superb.

Put in a large order for my family of 13 to have on the beach, using the website. The website was really easy to use, with everything laid out logically and the ability to pay online. When I arrived they were just sorting out the order, it would have helped if with an order of this size everything was labelled, as it was hard to work out the difference between a large cod and a haddock etc.

I have been to many seaside places in the UK, I have tried a lot of fish, but this fish was simply swimming in fat, and the same with the chips. From all of this, I got diarrhoea. I do not recommended it.

Very good food . Bit on the expensive side. But well worth the money No one wants cheap horrible food.

Solo Traveller: Excellent Chips and eaten without an added condiments. Opening Hours: Conveniently open 7 days a week. Route Planner: Located just off the A259 which you have driven past many times and not noticed if you have been travelling between Brighton & Eastbourne. I needed to go to costcutter which I have always noticed but not the chippy next door so you know where it is now without using Maps. Parking: Seems adequate enough. Please note. These chips tasted better than the chips I had in Whitby last month that were happy to boast they were award winners. I'll be back

The best fish and chips on the South Coast. Tasty succulent fish in a crispy freshly made golden batter with sumptuous moist chips. They have all the sauces - tomato, ketchup, tartar, mayonnaise, brown, mousseline, chantilly, buerre blanc, you name it, in small sachets or small bottles, to suit the sauce lover’s preferences. Salt and vinegar on the house. Good taste in posters on the wall where you can see the evidence-based statistics on people’s fish and chip preferences around the British Isles (funnily enough apparently everyone loves fish and chips - fact). Great service from the guys too. Best enjoyed after a swim in the sea at Seaford (get there before the Hastings hipsters discover it) and best enjoyed in the little park around the corner on the railway bridge overlooking the English riviera. Watch out for the seagulls though - even these crafty birds know how good R&B Fish Bar is.

This used to be my favourite fish and chip shop…. Not any more. I ordered a medium cod and chips with salt and vinegar…. the cod was very small and tough… the chips were very scrappy and not a generous portion… no salt and vinegar. My last visit and a poor review

Hadn’t realised it had changed hands, so was a little apprehensive upon entering and realising. Only due to how good the fish and chips we’d always had from here before. Order taken quickly and food was cooked as we waited, only about 10 minutes. Everything was fresh hot when we’d returned home. Very tasty and the curry sauce was banging! Perhaps the batter on the fish could be a bit thinner in places, apart from that a very nice meal, thank you.

Was in Seaford today on business and dropped by this place for some chips and battered sausage before heading back to essex. The guy serving was very polite and have to say is probably one of the best sausage n chips I have in ages - well recommend the home made curry sauce which was top draw 👌

£9 for a huge kids meal and a battered sausage and chips is a brilliant price! And always such happy and friendly staff. The food is always very good! :)

Stop off after work to pick up some Cod and chips from R&B Fish Bar.Did not have to wait too long. The fish was very nicely cooks, and the chips are a good size very nice and they stay warm as I walk home.

The previous owners operated a great chippy, and with new owners things inevitably change. After probably half a dozen visits I actually think it's better than ever - our order of 2 Fishcakes, Scampi, Large Chips and a curry sauce 16.60 which I think is great value for a very good quality hot and fresh Chippy Tea served by a friendly bunch too, who are happy to take a telephone order to save waiting around. So often we have Fish and Chips when we are away at the seaside, we need to have it a lot more often when we are at home by the seaside, this is better than most I know anywhere. Thanks

I haven’t been here since the shop changed hands, and wish I hadn’t. I ordered a large cod with chips. It was the thinnest piece of cod inside a thick greasy batter, horrible taste. I’m very disappointed as I paid £8.50 for the cod alone. Wish I’d taken it back and complained.

I don't live in the area so called on my way home to Suffolk. Never been here before. Excellent fish & chips. Best I've had in ages. All freshly cooked and not greasy. Well worth a visit.

Best fish and chips in seaford, by far.

The place was clean, and the notice board was easy to read ( no silly moving electrical board , trying to keep up). The prices seemed reasonable . The customer service was welcoming and friendly with respect. The waiting for the food was reasonable as it's was freshly made. The food itself was tasty and plenty to eat! Love it and will be back soon.

Since R&B was taken over there has been a huge improvement. Really friendly owner, great crispy batter fish and good portion of chips and it is actually open when you expect it to be. Always seemed to be closed before. I have seen the 1 star review from the man who seems to accuse everywhere he eats of giving him food poisoning. His comment also seems to be a little racist too? maybe has some ulterior motive. This is my local chippy and I have always gone to Lexden fish and chips who are superb. Now I can buy from here as now on a par. Recommended

The staff are amazingly friendly. The food was really good I believe. I'm vegan so didn't have it, but my family said it was really good. I had my mum down from London and she said it was so much nicer than what she has at home.

Changed ownership and it shows. We travelled from Haywards Heath to have a fish and chip supper. Our favourite shop Trawlers wasn't open so we went here. A year ago it was on a par with Trawlers, now it is disgusting. Two large Cod and chips which were very small, slimy and tasted of grease, fat and raw meat. The chips were small, sharp and hard. The Spam fritters are not real Spam and taste awful. Luckily we were both very able to vomit on the sea front and the Gulls had a free meal. Another English business gone and taken over by people who don't have a clue what a real fish and chip supper should look and taste like. Go to TRAWLERS!!!

It was my Birthday and our clubs cook was on holiday so we decided to have some fish and chips from R and B fish bar and it was terrific,Ken, a mate, popped over to R and B's to collect our order and it went down well with a beer or two....

I binned the food it was so bad. Soggy chips, thick stodgy batter on the fish. They kept me waiting for the food, it tasted like it had been out of the fryer for some time. Will never go here again. Vile.

Good quality cooked fish and chips! Served In a cardboard box which makes it easier to eat without fish going soggy! The batter was crunchy and not greasy all cooked fresh! Great friendly service from all the staff.

Excellent fish and chips from here. Good quantities, two small cod and chips fed three adults comfortably. Very popular, had to wait 25 minutes after placing the order but we were advised of that at the time. Would definitely go back there again.

We ordered as we went in and everything was freshly cooked to order. Everything was tasty, the only way we would improve it would be to have scraps and my husband would have liked it to be a bit greasier. I thought it was perfect.
