Sunny Takeaway in Basingstoke and Deane

Sunnys has easily become my go to Chinese takeaway! Great tasting food, very generous portions and service spot on! Would definitely recommend it! The salt & pepper chicken wings are amazing!

Kung Po Chilli KP - really tasty. New chef over last 6 months? Great food all around recently. Curry suace especially.

Can't disagree more with the reviews on here,always polite friendly service from Sunny's and I've been coming here for over 15 years! Sunny's is easily in the top 3 Chinese takeaways in Basingstoke, great food, good portions and very reasonably priced. Can't fault the place.

Came down on a random Friday night when friends decided to pop over last minute. Ordered a relatively big order for 5 adults and 2 kids. The food was super yummy especially the chicken balls and crispy aromatic duck. Good portions, crispy but not dry and so tasty sweet and sour sauce. Never been before as new to area, but this is going to be our local from now.

Rude man, terrible front of house. Got our order incorrect, it seems only if you complain and go and collect you may get something similar to what you actually ordered. Do not recommend.

Eaten here a few times before and hasn’t been that bad until last night. Both myself and my wife have been up most of the night with bad stomachs and not a lot better today. Will not be using again.

So I tried to go to sunny take away today because I fancied some fish and chips and was surprised to find that it was closed, I live local to the restaurant and have tried to get food there before but it has been closed previously I was disappointed most British takeaway places are open all day probably won't try going back again. Over fear it will possibly be closed again.

Absolutely shocking customer service. I walked in to make an order and was greeted by a man who had previously been sitting just around the corner eating. He abruptly put his food down and came to the counter with a vile attitude - I was looking at the menu and had him standing on the other side creating such an unwanted atmosphere.

Very good food, always friendly staff. Best Chinese in Basingstoke, been going here for years. Cannot fault it.

If you are looking for a Chinese I would describe this as average. We go there once every few weeks and is never amazing, but we do keep going back. Manager is a little grumpy, but he's ok really. Never have to wait longer than 10 minutes for the food. Would recommend if you are in a hurry, portions good, taste and quality what I would expect from a takeaway.

Worst Chinese place ever. The meatballs in their so-called "sweet 'n' sour pork balls" seem to be the same as tinned meatballs...you know, the ones you might heat up to have with spaghetti...unbelievable!!

Meal for 2 The chicken balls are okay the rest of it terrible no taste of chips and curry sauce is well with chips look like Chris stuck together in the curry sauce toasted so bad through all this away

Decided to get takeaway here for dinner and was hoping for a Chinese but might aswell have got 3 portions of salt. It was so salty I was ill for the next 3 days. I actually think this food is dangerous and this takeaway needs closing down. Terrible.

Probably the worst I have tasted in Basingstoke! Pork balls were mince and disgusting. Chilli beef was old and seemed reheated had no flavour. Better takeaways around! Seems this place has a lot of regulars as has been here a long time but is stuck in the past.

Sunny Chinese was one of the very fisrt to arrive in Basingstoke on the worting Road and still offers the very best in takeaway food the rice is just right and the chips are crisp and dry, the the Beef in blackbeen sauce its really good.

Used to eat here and decided we fancied a Chinese.....crispy chilli beef was dry and had been cooked over and over...most probably from lunch and chucked back into the wok, chips limp and nasty tasting, chicken fried rice...well rice with about 3 bits of chicken, they have made the portions smaller yet charge the same price, Will not visit here again!

Nice Chinese, Large varied menu, friendly welcome, reasonably priced. Can phone through order & collect. Food was prepared fairly quickly, good portion size but food was slightly cold when we got home.

Had a take away this evening. Vegetables were good but pork battered balls were made from mince pork and chicken was reconstituted. My wife's prawn curry was made with minute tasteless shrimps. Sorry but not good enough.
