This is not at 1 Kings Furlong Drive. It is at 1 Kings Furlong Centre, Kings Furlong Drive. I am an expert on Chinese restaurants and takeaways and I have expended a lot of shoe leather correcting fundamental errors on Google which make places hard to find.

Tracking system on the site is useless, enjoy your food was ticked even though it wasn't delivered, no communication until i filled out text request once food arrived it was barely warm,

Haven’t been here for many years but so glad we came back tonight. The speed of service and the quality of the food was exceptional. The satay chicken was outstanding, and the mixed starters were light and crunchy and very tasty. Everything was marvellous but the Singapore noodles were lip tinglingly great. Thoroughly enjoyable meal. We will be back for sure

NEVER BUY FOOD FROM KINGS FURLONG. spent £50 and all food was inedible and all went in the bin. What a disgusting meal. Uncooked rice! Raw prawns, raw banana fritter really bad. Will be telling everyone never go here. They must have rushed our food. Spare ribs tasted like week old dead dog! Er Spat it out immediately.

Absolutely appalling food from the start......Spring rolls lacked flavour, lacked content of ingredients and wrapped in 🤔 rice was very poor and again lacked quality, sweet and sour( flavouring added ) overall, appalling standard. Should have went to Indian next door.. shockingly bad, put rest in the bin....will speak tomorrow regards to money back😞 £25 never seen again... terrible.....R.I.P my digestive system 😕😞

When my local takeaway closed, I did a lot of research to find a replacement. This one ticks all the boxes and takes card payments and delivers! Best takeaway in Basingstoke! We ordered a delivery online. It was delivered exactly on the requested time and a fabulous meal was enjoyed by all!

If I could do zero stars I would. The only words I can describe is absolutely gutted. We have been coming to this Chinese for over 15 years and has been our only choice for Chinese, that is until tonight. Everything has changed , the chicken fried rice was bland and tasteless and contained mainly egg, didn’t even looked like it was fried. Their portion sizes have changed and their prices have gone up. The chicken chow mien was dry and tasteless. Save to say 90% of our order went in the bin. Previously they had missed some of our order and we asked before we left if they could check if everything was there and they said yes, which they also left the curry sauce out. Half the chips were black and the larger portion barely served my two toddlers and 10 year old. I rang to complain and the person on the phone seemed to take on the complaints and said he would talk to the manager and call me back which didn’t happen. Safe to say we will not be returning or recommending anymore, when we previously used to talk to highly. Hope the new owners know they ruined a good thing.

We've used this Chinese for years and bragged it as the best around Basingstoke. That has now changed to the worst I've ever experienced from any other, ever. I can honestly say that absolutely every item that we received this evening was of very bad standard. Portions have reduced but prices have increased. Called to complain but was told the manager would call back, you guessed it, no call back. They have completely wrecked what used to be a fantastic cuisine and lost loyal customers and we will never use them again or recommend to anyone else. Hope they get the most out of the £70 because they will not get any more, ever.

Well this place WAS the best in town but whatever they have done it's shockingly awful... we were celebrating a birthday this evening so a family birthday dinner is 90% in the bin the crackers were okay the dogs ate them...the chicken fried rice had more egg than rice and had 5 pieces of chicken...it wasn't even fried it looked boiled rice. The noodles were dry with no sauce on them at all the lemon chicken used to be large sliced pieces has now turned into Hong Kong chicken with a minimal amount of sauce that didn't cover the chicken. I have no idea what the duck was cooked in but the flavour made it taste off and considering the price of the duck exceptionally disgusted...and all of it was binned. A large portion of chips wouldn't have fed half the 3 kids and 50% of them were black and disgusting. After even asking if everything was in the bags to be reassured everything was in there we got home with no curry sauce!!!... what an awful birthday. Rang to complain and was told they would call back after speaking to a manager.... what a surprise no call back... so what was full star takeaway.. is now 1 star but if I could have I wouldn't have given any stars..... Our custom is no longer theirs 100% disgusted at service food and staff. Good luck if you want to try it we will be going elsewhere!!!

Nice staff, clean place food wasn’t horrific. However don’t buy the curry sauce!!! Me and my sister went in to get me, her, her partner and her 6month old son dinner. Luckily I was the only one who ate the curry sauce and within less than 12 hours I was violently sick, high temperature, dizzy spells and cold sweats. As bad as that is I know a staff member and after messaging her she said not to buy the curry sauce as it makes a lot of people sick. I’m just glad I didn’t give any to my nephew to try or this could have gone a lot worse!!

I used to always order their ribs with curry sauce in spicy chilli oil which they made themselves ( not store bought) it was soo soo good very very authentic. This is what kept me coming back as the chilli oil they did was so unique and nothing could replace it. I even had lots of people hooked into ordering this specific dish with their own made chilli oil. Now everything has changed! The chilli oil now it taste horrible! I thought this was one time off, so to make sure I ordered it again and was left in absolute disappointment! The chips are now served in a little box? and they don’t taste very nice.. Curry sauce is nothing like before, absolutely tasteless.. I HOPE THEY READ OUR REVIEWS. Because this Chinese takeaway used to be my favourite! I knew exactly what to order .. I won’t order from here again unless they upgrade their quality of food! Seems like they are losing a lot of their regular customers which is so sad ;(

Since this has been brought out this has now become one of the worst in Basingstoke:( this is so sad ! This used to be the best Chinese around ! Even when I moved out of Basingstoke I’d still make the half an hour travel just to get the old kings furlong Chinese. You’d understand the excitement when we moved back and new exactly what to order to shock an’ horror everything has changed all god awful cheap alternatives rather then the original the sauces were just water no taste to the bbq sauce the old one was the best bbq I’d ever had (I don’t like store brought) the sweet and sour sauce might as well have been a pot of vinegar the hunt for a new Chinese begins … sadly

Consistently good, fish is best in Basingstoke, chips always nice, vermicelli noodles are always a hit at home. Made the incorrect order one time and they happily exchanged the items for us. Can't fault them

Such a shame when an excellent take away changes hands and new owners decide to skimp on chips by sticking them in a small cardboard box so the portion size is greatly reduced. The chips were not as nice as they used to be either ☹️

Avoid! Thought we’d give it one last try at this Chinese but never again. Chunks of chicken found in a mushroom chow mein meal for a vegetarian . Called to complain and she was more interested in getting me off the phone to take the next order. Gross. Obviously lots of cross contamination going on with this place which is quite concerning! Offered a discount on my next order but I’ll never buy food from this chippy again

Been here a number of times. Usually busy but surprisingly quite quick. There's a lack of choice in Basingstoke for takeaways compared to most other towns so for this reason this place does well. Awarded 4 stars which I think is fair. Only negative is for the prices here which I think are a little high but given its location and everything they offer it's to be expected. Overall though I'm happy with the food and speed of service.

Always greeted with a friendly smile & a hello. Staff are happy to adjust your meal if need be. Excellent chicken curry collected today, piping hot chips were yummy too. Wait time was fab. Prices are good too. Would highly recommend.

Since this has been taken over the food quality and taste has drastically plummeted.tastes absolutely awful. The worst curry sauce I’ve ever had and this used to be the best Chinese in basingstoke. Absolutely gutted they got bought out by a terrible restaurant (they are the same as number 8 - which was well known for being the worst Chinese in Basingstoke) absolutely awful, better off making it at home. Bring back the old kings furlong and the curry sauce they used to have.

:( 2nd time disappointed with the food from here, chow mein tonight tasted absolutely foul.. could even smell it was bad through the tubs and bags on the way home in the car.. won’t use them again,£40 wasted

Best Chinese in Basingstoke in my opinion, everything has always been perfectly cooked. Sweet and sour sauce is the right flavour balance and viscosity. Had Chinese from here many times, only once for the fish and chips side, but not for lack of quality.

I’m not normally one to write reviews but this is far the worst food I’ve ever binned! This was the first time I tried here and never again. The chicken is slimy and stringy even my dog turnt his nose up. Sorry but I won’t be returning.

I gave one star because if the chips. We tried the chicken curry and had veg spring rolls, never again the chicken looked like it was just far and slimy, the spring rolls where ok a bit endemic looking with not much veg inside, won't be going again

When in town and fancy fish and chips, always come here. Also tried the Chinese food, which was ok. Quick, friendly and tastes good. You might be able to get better quality elsewhere, but this is well priced and convenient.

Very disappointed, seems like they are using expired ingredients and given it a mixture of marinate in trying To hide the taste. Very dangerous as it could cause food poisoning. Item in specific chicken satay and the beef curry. Sadly gonna have to go elsewhere from now on. As after all the feedback below it’s seems they don’t care or taking into consideration. ALL POTENTIAL CLIENTS SHOULD AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!

This is the third time we've ordered and have been so disappointed. We won't be using our local Chinese shop again. The chips looked so under cooked when I tryed one and had to bin them. The chicken chow mein was very salty and the chicken what was in there didn't look or taste decent. Very disappoining.

dreadful fish and chips. we had family over from America and they wanted to try Fish and chips , how embarrassing to serve them with double fryed chips which were dry and hard and dry fish . will never go here again , a complete waste of money

As a treat we had Fish and Chips tonight......how utterly disappointing. The Chips were cold, dried up and pretty enedible. The Fish was no better dry and cold. This is the second time the food has been like this so wont be going back again.

It's OK Chinese food is nice.. kids didn't like the fish tho and chips were soggy

A very good Chinese/Fish & chip takeaway. You can call ahead and they have food ready 20-40mins later for collection. They accept card payment but not over the phone. The 2 meal for one options are huge, very good value.

Although the food was cooked fresh while we waited, the batter was very greasy and the fish a little watery! First time here, we will try again and hope it's better next time! Staff were polite and friendly and it was reasonably priced! Portion sizes are great! Probably a little too much for us!

Very polite and helpful staff, I have a son with special needs and they accommodate my request, and I bought 2 set meals and changed a couple of dishes.. nothing is a problem...and the food is fantastic... Best take away place in Basingstoke. Debbie

This was the worst chinese I have ever tasted rice was gloopy and stuck together chicken balls were a burnt dark brown colour batter was soft and greasy it was vile will never go there again

We ordered online and were able to pick up within 15 minutes of ordering. There was enough parking available. The food was ready within 5 minutes of the time they said it would be - they were very busy. You can wait inside (with a mask) and they just call your order number.

I had to wait while they freshly cooked my Chinese meal which was absolutely delicious. I would definitely go back again as this was my first visit.

Food hit and miss. Either cooked to perfection or raw. They shut at 10 so no comeback.

Will never order from this place again. The food turns up cold most of the time. It turned up tonight cold and incomplete so we rung them and all they were interested in was getting missing bits out to us, yes they were cold too. Had to wait 2 hours tonight for them to deliver. NEVER AGAIN.

All food always freshly cooked as far as I can tell. The fish and chips definately is. Chinese food is always hot and has all the usual choices. Service is always friendly and they take card for payments over £10.

Handy Chinese takeaway and chip shop all in one. They do a lunch box menu for lunchtimes. They take card as well as cash As with many Chinese takeaways they annoyingly close just after lunch and open again around 5pm. Food is good quality and prices are average. Phone orders accepted for collection in person.

Good food at a reasonable price. Been going there for years. If there is a loudmouth young guy manning the till and phone prepare to wait or as I did....walk out because you"ll be there a while. How hard is it to serve the people stood in front of you 😒

I want my money back food i had tonight was awfull

Simple to cook Savaloys and Chips. Not a gourmet delight just fill up food. Absolutely awful. Savaloys obvious had been in hot cabinet for hours yet were cold and chewy. The chips were almost certainly reheated from lunchtime and were also cold and chewy. Terrible food, inedible. One star is one too many.
