Summer Shop in East Devon

Delicious coffee, at an excellent price (£2.90). (There were even yummy-looking gluten-free cakes available - but I resisted!) Really friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I often visit the summer shop Sidmouth! It's great value for money compared to other ice cream places in the town. It has a fantastic variety of different flavours of icecreams, sorbets, milkshakes and also has vegan options! (ALL SO DELICIOUS). Helen does a great coffee and has always been so lovely! Would definitely recommend visiting and indulging in delicious creamy ice cream! Staff have always been really friendly and accommodating! Also, they have some fun little souvenirs and beach items to purchase. Perfect location right across from the seafront! Overall would definitely recommend. :)

Absolutely wonderful service, very chatty and happy to give information about the town and advice on other food services, Ice cream was delicious and as a fussy coffee customer I was extremely satisfied with my coffee, perfect temperature and I was delighted to be accommodated with Oat milk as I don’t drink cows milk, very happy customer :D

Though this is a convenient pit stop along the beach and service is swift - it comes at a cost - rather extortionately priced ice cream at £2.70 for a single scoop. It really is a standard scoop, no more, no less. Yet another 40p to add a flake which is the tiny little flake you typically add on to ice cream cones. Cans of soft drink - £1.50 - bottles of water - £1.30 - I understand making a profit of course but prices like this for something which requires no labour, seems exhaustive. A few more steps along qnd you’ll find yourself at Taste who have a far superior ice-cream, very generous portions and you guessed it - better value all round!

What a wonderful little place. So well stocked. Wonderful staff. Tasty Ice Creams . An absolute gem and a must visit in this lovely town. Sidmouth is often called the jewel in Devon's crown, and we think The Summer Shop is the jewel in Sidmouth's crown!

Ordered a strawberry milkshake the one I received was tasteless and nothing like picture I confronted the waitress who made me look like a liar wouldn’t even exchange it,no customer care,I wouldn’t recommend or use again
