Sullivans in East Riding of Yorkshire

Good service, polite staff 👍. Food was generally tasty. Portion was ok but adult meals had the same amount of chips as kids meal off the children's menu.

Came to hornea to see family who live here, me and my boyfriend decided to get a fish butty each, no chips or anything, I couldn’t believe the price £16.80 for 2x fish butties , I genuinely thought I must have misheard and just tapped my card . Will never go here again, times are hard for businesses I do understand that, but times are hard for everyone and that was daylight robbery for a very mediocre greasy dish butty .

Had the fish and chips to eat out very tasty had to go back next day for a fish before we travelled home the ladies in the shop were very nice and friendly will definitely be back next year

This was a welcome place for refreshment after a walking tour of Beverley on a very hot day . Our party was easily accommodated together in a side room . The fish and chips were fine and appeared fairly quickly . The staff were pleasant and obliging .

Spent £25 today with my partner 3 year and 8 month old baby. We choose to sit on the benches out the back of the restaurant after purchasing from the front of the shop. Right near the doorway was a high chair so I popped in and asked if I could use the high chair for my baby whilst we ate. A lady said she’d have to ask the manager, she came back after some time and said NO. Sorry no, I can’t have a high chair after spending £25 on food at your establishment. I proceeded to say our food was purchased from the front. A extremely rude woman who I assume was said manager said you can’t take high chairs. I strongly advise that if you have little ones you use any of the other fish & chip shops in Hornsea which are much worthy of custom. This manager had zero customer service skills and an awful attitude towards me whilst I was stood there with my baby wanting to sit him in a chair.

Called in yesterday with my family for takeaway fish and chips and although the food itself was lovely, the service was horrendous. The women serving us was clearly intoxicated slurring and stumbling about. It was quite shocking to see she stank of alcohol to the point my child even noticed and asked what was wrong with that lady ? I don't know what management are doing in that place to miss this as it was clearly obvious. Its unfortunate as the good was in fact lovely but I wouldn't return

Absolutely top class, I would visit this area again just for the pleasure of eating these fish and chips, and very friendly staff. Everyone must have seen shows on TV where people have won a top fish and chips award, I’ve been to some of them, including Mr Steins and I’m here to tell you these are better.

Been to sumo and many times but won't be going again! Not sure what you have done to the batter but it's awful and more like breadcrumb , fish was very dry and kids had milkshakes and said they were warm and didn't taste nice either ! Won't be going back

9 of us desended here on a day trip out to hornsea , the service we recieved was realy good , they attended to our every need .But some of the the fish tasted "tangy". Don't get me wrong it was edible, but we've had far better . Give it a miss next time and try some where else

We had a lovely meal here - everything was well cooked and very fresh and the service pleasant. It was better value than some similar restaurants also - well recommended, but perhaps not for a special occasion, as it's "no frills".

Staying in the local area we decided to visit this restaurant as we were passing by. From start to finish excellent service!. Covid precautions all in place and the staff clearly explain everything and are very very attentive!!. Out of the many restaurants weve been too during the pandemic these guys are by far the most thorough all delivered in a polite and friendly way. The restaurant is spotless throughout including the rest rooms. The food was served lovely and hot with a generous portion. Slightly pricey compared to some in the area but worth it for the service and the quality of the food. Would highly reccomend this place for a bite to eat in Hornsea!!

The restaurant area, tables and toilet facilities were immaculate - all the staff were obviously very keen to ensure the food was being prepared and served in a safe environment. The menu offered everything you would expect from a traditional Fish & Chip restaurant but there were also a number of sides to further tempt. All of the food was piping hot - the fish was really tasty with different sizes and types to choose from. Portions were also spot on. The restaurant area was all on one level, so was very accessible with no steps to negotiate and wide entrance would make it easy for wheelchairs.

Very expensive for what it is, got a regular fish and was shocked at how small it was. Definitely more like a child’s fish and chips, anyone visiting try Whiteheads not as over priced and good portions. Won’t be lining there pockets again at that price!

Visited Tuesday 9th June for take away lunch fish & Chips for two £12.60 average price, used card because of Covid situation, asked for a plastic fork for my wife and was told it would be 5p as I had already paid and didn’t have any cash with us we were unable to have a fork. Small issue maybe but not very customer friendly what’s the percentage of 5p on a £12.60 purchase. The meal was average fish was not very firm and translucent not much flavour, so overall a poor experience not to be repeated.

This is a great restaurant and fish and chip shop. Always spotlessly clean, and great service. We often make a special trip on a Friday, just to go to Sullivans!! The food is always great, fresh and hot.

Me and my husband got fish and chips from here on Tuesday lunch and they where delicious. The chips were spot on and the fish was so tender.

We always go to Sullivan’s when our friends come over always been good but this time staff spoilt it. It was Valentine’s Day & one particular blonde lady hair tied back & another one weren’t happy at all, we will go elsewhere next time.Food was excellent tho so such a shame as this has never happened before!

If you are visiting Hornsea and fancy some fish and chips, look no further than Sullivans on the sea front. Superb, only word to describe them. I like to eat them with my hand from the paper or tray. Something happens to fish and chips when they hit a plate, the flavour dies! Crisp batter, lovely snow white sweet fleshy fish. Chips were lovely too. Up there with the Best. Give them a go you will not be dissapointed,

We have visited Sullivans before for a take-away. It's very good. It was quiet when we called Saturday teatime. Our fish were freshly cooked to order and were delicious. The batter was not too thick and cooked all the way through and the fish tasted lovely. The chips were excellent too, not greasy at all. My OH enjoyed his mushy peas. The service was friendly and good. We will be back on our next visit to Hornsea.

We called on Thursday the 2nd of January we were on holidays in barmston and came over to the beach there was 6 adults and 3 children got a table straight away even though it was busy the staff were friendly we all had a meal and a drink the portions are huge and honestly best fish and chips I've had we all thought it was fantastic and so reasonably priced cost 61 pounds for all of us highly recommended a visit
