My husband and I visited today and got a footlong chicken and bacon sub with tiger bread. This has to be the best sub I have ever tasted. This was made by Callam who was a lovely member of staff. So friendly and professional. We had a latte and husband had a tea. His colleague Tika was very pleasant too. A lovely little team who worked together well.

Friday 17th Sept my husband and me, went to Subway Chapel Lane Formby and the man who served us bent over backwards to give us the best service. The food was yummy too

The staff clearly wasn’t listening as two of our four meals were incorrect and one totally forgotten, staff were very rushed and lacked engagement. Although gluten-free was ordered, when we got home it was not identifiable and confused with another meal with similar filling. Also the tuna fillings in particular were sparse and tasteless. We won’t be going.

A personal note of thanks to the Subway branch in Formby village, which was the first outlet in the village to open up seven days a week, several weeks ago, for takeaway coffee and food. Their fine coffee, day-long (9-18) opening hours, excellent pricing (including a raisin or chocolate cookie with coffee!), and warm, cheerful and friendly service have been a twice-daily godsend for me since the first wave of lockdown relaxation several weeks ago.

Food is usual standard for subway, however the cleanliness of the seating area needs attention. Even early in day the floors look grubby with the need of a good brushing round. Doesn't take long and would improve customer experience if someone could find a brush once an hour!

This subway store, and it’s manager, were so accommodating for our Boxing Day meal. I arranged 5 platters to be made with them and they opened the store especially for us which was amazing and gave us a complimentary platter of cookies too. The sandwiches were great and catered for all attendees. Big thank you to all as you saved us so much stress as no where else were able to do fresh sandwiches on the day. We will definitely be arranging for it again 🙂

Ideal place for breakfast or lunch on the go. Especially if the more upmarket places in or around Chapel Lane aren't suitable. Typical Subway menu, but service is quick and friendly. And as welcoming whether you are dressed in a 3 piece suit on the way to a meeting or in overalls in the middle of a job nearby. Well recommended

Now don't get me wrong, it's a nice looking Subway and the subs are made well.... It's just that every time I visit, whether it's busy or dead, the tables are never cleared regularly. If they are cleared, they are hardly ever wiped. The floor is often covered in bits too! It really is a pet hate of mine as it's an easy thing to fix and almost as important as the food itself, if you're eating in.

Avoid - Poor customer service & restaurant experiences. Unprofessional, disorganised & disrespectful. 1st visit - Three wrong mains given at a 70th celebration as well as wrongly cooked steaks. Staff were smoking on the viewing platform. 2nd visit - No warning/ communication that restaurant was shut on our Valentine's Day booking. First Valentine's with partner so l booked well in advance, spent a fortune on taxis and took time off work to be there on time; just for us to arrive and it to be shut. Had received a confirmation text 2 days prior but on arrival found out it was shut and the restaurant hadn't had the decency to inform us it would be closed. Ridiculous...how do they expect anyone to get a booking at another restaurant for Valentine's Day at dinner time!? Unfortunately there were other couples arriving in the same predicament. Contacted them numerous times on numerous platforms and have not been contacted back. Absolutely awful way to treat customers and multiple bad experiences. Edit: Updated to further my disappointment with their bad customer service. They had left me on read for a while, and only after I was persistent did they eventually respond.. 3 months after. Unfortunately they didn’t acknowledge their faults and instead complained about my review. They then pursued to argue with me suggesting I should have known they were closed because “it was in the newspapers” and “they said on Instagram” - how ridiculous is that! How unprofessional is it to assume people are just going to find out you’re closed, instead they should have just contacted their bookings to tell them it needs to be cancelled. Not once have I received an apology. My original review holds very much true and their customer service is absolutely dire. They had the time to try and argue with me on social media but not reconcile or apologise for their mistakes. They had a fire in the kitchen after I booked but multiple weeks before my booking. I would be more understanding if the fire had happened a few days prior to my booking but my booking was weeks after the fire so they had ample time to inform me and others. Hugely disappointing and frustrating overall experiences

Great place to eat. Staff always friendly and helpful. Shows how good it is we went at 7pm and it was absolutely chocker. Still really good service ( no parsnips tho).
