A favourite place to stop for breakfast during our canal-side walk. A great 'all you can eat' breakfast with vegetarian and vegans catered for. The local themed decor has been recently renewed. Always good value and great service from Theresa today 👏

Lovely breakfast. Love the buffet style as I can get what I want. Food was good and I was served by Tresa who was lovely and very polite and professional. Said hello to my little girl which always makes a child smile😊

Got our Carvery on Wowcher cost £32 for 2 adults and 2 kids for a 2 course meal.. we got there and were greeted by Charlie, he is so smiley and helpful.. nothing is too much. Had a lovely time with the family. Thank you 😊

Booked a table for 9 at 7.30.pm. No turkey no gammon. The staff couldn't off cared less. Management not available for comment why. Do not spend your money here

Ten of us went on Sunday 14th October. Although it was very busy, the young lady serving us was lovely, very efficient. Food was great,service and atmosphere really lovely

Got there at 08.30, the breakfast was warm, the bacon wasn't cooked enough ( rind too fatty ), can't comment on the service as it was self serve.

Food tastes great. Sausages and bacon full of flavour, hash browns crispy, eggs slightly over for me, the beans and mushrooms could have been Walmer but overall good standard of breakfast and staff where great

Went there last week with my son. The service was really good, the staff were really friendly and helpful, I have ms and they made sure I was looked after. Can't give a 5 star rating because the carvery was dreadful, the veg was dried up I couldn't cut most of it ( and it had nothing to do with my ms) I could have cooked better myself and I hate cooking!

Great place to eat. Staff always friendly and helpful. Shows how good it is we went at 7pm and it was absolutely chocker. Still really good service ( no parsnips tho).

I came here with my 3 sisters to celebrate a birthday. It was a delicious roast 😋. We were waited on by an amazing lady called MARTINE. We couldn't praise her enough she was beyond helpful. I hope someone reads this and rewards her. Would definitely recommend Toby Carvery in Aintree.

Quite often have these Toby Carvery buffet breakfasts, but I'll add another review. Visited Toby Carvery Aintree this morning. Served straight away by staff who was pleasant. Breakfast was as expected. Had everything with the unlimited coffee refill. Breakfast was fantastic finished off with proper coffee. Would absolutely come to this Aintree Toby Carvery for buffet breakfast again.

This is our local cavary we regularly visit, Excellent food and very friendly staff, Catherine the waitress was especially nice on my father's birthday by adding a candle to my father's dessert on his birthday thank you very much

Popped in for tea, on a whim. I'd had a Toby brekkie in Speke the week before, and it planted the idea of a roast. My first time eating here, though I had been once for a drink. I was greeted warmly, and though the place was very busy, given a table in a few minutes. Service throughout was excellent. It's a TC, so you know what to expect. Good choice of meats, veg and all the accompaniments for a good 'Sunday' dinner. Afterwards, for dessert, I went with the apple an plum crumble with custard. All the food was lovely, and it was a really enjoyable meal. If I had one tiny niggle, as a few others have said, the mains could've been a little hotter, but it certainly didn't spoil the meal for me. I'll certainly be going back. Good food, great value, what's not to like.

Staying close by this was my 'go to' for a proper British cooked breakfast every day. Without exception all the staff were 'typically scouse' - in other words, friendly, irreverent, happy and so helpful. Food was 'typical' carvery style, well cooked, fantastic choice and so much of it ! If you're a 'fussy eater' this isn't for you, it's for folks who like good basic food, cooked well and served by folks who want you to feel like you're 'home form home'. And I love that attitude.

Everything was great, hubby's beef was a bit chewy & quite fatty but apart from that, everything was nice & hot. Our waitress Jane was lovely and attentive.

We had great family lunch , woman called Catherine took time to interact with my toddler and was really lovely.

Had a fantastic experience for my first visit to tobys , was served by the lovely Natalie who was fantastic in everything we asked for and even phoned us a taxi to get us home . Will return very soon

I recently had a birthday meal here with my family the food and service was very good I would recommend this place to have a wonderful meal.

The food was excellent. Every member of staff was exemplary, polite & courteous. Service was very quick. The dining area was exceptionally clean, which was a lovely surprise. My only wish was for a greater range of beers at the bar. Only one bitter and one stout was a little disappointing but certainly not enough to stop us from returning. The beer was well kept and tasty though. Ten out of ten for the establishment as a whole.

First time going here for a breakfast and was disappointed. Food was not hot and tasted oily. On a lighter note though staff were nice and friendly.

Now two stars is not a reflection on the staff. The staff is the only reason this place even got two stars one for the staff and one for the food. Again that sounds bad and dig at both but this is a star rating fault not their fault. Toby is suffering like so many these days but reducing staff and cost cutting ain't going to help them survive . The food which is average and affordable has always been the best thing about a Toby. But the cost cutting is being taken from the wrong areas focusing on profit for owners rather than service. And when service no matter how hard the staff try is affected. Wait times for everything from seating to paying as two wait staff struggle to maintain their areas. I feel for them I really do , they try but they can't keep up with the demands on them and ultimately this ruined the experience and will put many off returning which will no doubt result in more costing until once again we lose her another local pub. I wish the staff well and hope things improve for them

Trish was so kind and polite from the minute we walked in the door, she was very helpful and we was served by her twice. Each and every time she collected all of our plates and and glasses and had such a lovely smile on her face. We are nearly alway very pleased and really enjoy our meals and visits, but on our last visit on Tuesday 30th July 2024 we were disappointed firstly trying to book over phone it kept saying there was no available bookings for 6pm which we wanted so we booked for a time slot they had at 4.50pm instead but for most of the time we were there many empty tables expecially at 6pm when we wanted , secondly the guy cutting the meat was very unfriendly and gave us the most smallest cuts of meat I have ever seen and mostly fatty meat I gave my plate back to him and said can I change this as its only 2 peacers of meat and there fatty what I was given was not that much better apart from feeling like Oliver asking for more I thought forgot it.. Here's to service back to normal on our next visit.
