Strensham Southbound Services in Wychavon

Called at Fresh Food Cafe at Strensham Services (north bound) on Monday 30th December for 2 jacket potatos with chilli. Absolutely amazing! So tasty and huge portion. Very impressed. I'd go as far as saying it's the best jacket potato I've had. Cooked to perfection.

We called at Strensham Services Northbound M5 on Friday 13th September, 2024, on our way home for holiday. We noticed the Fresh Food Cafe which had Fish and Chips on the menu. We ordered this and unfortunately found the the food was quite dreadful. The fish had thick batter and the peas were stone cold. This was not cheap and realised they were not local people who owned this cafe. A mistake we now regret. We do not like to give bad reviews but on this occasion it was justified.

We arrived here for a coffee stop on our way to Celtic Manor in Wales. We initially had a problem with the digital ordering display and eventually asked VITOR for assistance. He is the Duty Manager here and he was nothing but extremely helpful including bringing us our coffees and refusing all payment (as we had been inconvenienced !). He was a really nice man, chatting about his life and Family and we feel fortunate that he was on duty that morning to assist us . Thank you VITOR for your assistance and kind attention that morning - we appreciated it.

Ruined overpriced breakfast egg looked and tasted vile mushrooms I think came from the toilets never eating here again

We stopped off for a coffee and ended up purchasing 2 pasties which were hot and very tasty, the coffees were also excellent. The cafe was clean and tidy. The staff were polite and very helpful also very entertaining singing. I observeved that the customers were of the older generation like ourselves and observed that adjacecent was a very well known fast food enterprise that was frequented by mostly the younger generation. WELL DONE CAFE STAFF A PLEASENT STOP . THANK YOU

Absolutely dire. We didn't stay. Dreadful toilets and dirty overall. Everywhere was shut as it was "late". This was 10 in the evening on a motorway on a busy travel day.

Northbound services are one of the best on the network. Big parking area that isn't drowned out by the noise of the motorway; large dog walking area with outside tables. Car park is well laid out and works well. Landscaped grounds. Clean toilets. Good mix of catering outlets. Not as good as Gloucester Services but better than any others on the M5.

Disgusting food at extortionate prices. The wrap was filled with something that resembled chicken, a bit of wilted lettuce and sauce. The portion of fries were soggy. The only thing that was acceptable was the can of Diet Coke Avoid this place!

This was a lunch stop with our caravan on the South bound services. On entering the special area to park caravans there is a VERY tight turn at the end of the parking area. I miss judged the bend and caught the caravan mover on the very high curb, forcing the mover to permanently engage with the tyre. Various people came to my assistance but the lack of a full set of spanners made the job impossible. Answer was to call out a very friendly AA man who sorted the problem in about 10 minutes. His remark was that he had attended 3 other similar accidents at this place. It would be help full if that curb could be a larger radius and lower in height. The entrance to the caravan park shows what happens if this problem goes unattended. P.S. We continued on our holidays with problem sorted and we will be paying Strensham a visit in a few weeks time on our way th South Wales

Excellent facilities. Vegan meal options. Reasonable prices at all outlets. Clean. For those with a baby/toddler there is a bottle warmer and microwave to heat baby food in the seating area.

Sunday 26th March and we stopped at this Motorway service, a pit stop on our journey from Bolton to Seaton in Devon. Earlier week we stopped on the Northern Service Station, on our outward journey, which we were well impressed with. So we had high expectations when we stopped at this Service Station for a pit stop and a coffee. Sadly it did not live up to our expectations in comparison with it's neighbour across the Motorway. Although similar in design to the other Service Station, this one appeared to be older and not as modern. We also felt it was smaller, a bit more compact, not so well maintained and did not flow as well. There were not as many places to eat at this Service Station, when compared with the North side. Having said that there is still a number and variety to choose from. This includes McDonald's, Cornish Bakery, Chozen Noodle, Krispy Kreme, LEON and a few others. A number of other outlets were there, including a SPAR Supermarket, Cotton Traders, WH Smith and a small games arcade. There was also a Costa Coffee, which we visited. Also there was no accommodation, Days Inn, or outdoor seating there was only a dog walking area.

Fresh Food Cafe? Worst baps ever. Had to take my first sausage bap back after two bites. Frozen baps not defrosted properly. Literally disintegrated in my hands. Had nothing to hold on to. Replacement given did the same halfway through. Sauge was nice, so I ate it out of bap. My wife had to take her bacon bap back, for a refund after one bite. Bap too dry and the bacon dry and not much. Worst baps we have EVER had. How they claim to be a Fresh Food Cafe is beyond me.

we stopped here for a break and was surprised at the value of the meal deal . The service was actaully helpful and given the burger with chips options and expensive coffee shops this shop was the pick of the bunch, Choice was limited however and had a pannini

This was the most disgusting food I have ever eaten in my life!!. Completely inedible!. It was like someone had poured a vat of the sweetest syrup know to man all over the food. Even my son couldn't eat it and he has a really sweet tooth!. What on earth is the thinking behind this!!??

Breakfast was all reheated and over done bacon hard mushrooms were black rubber egg was like a flap-jack ,no yolk

This relates to the southbound services. Long queue for the female toilets. Gents toilets were horrid and soap and taps barely worked. 15 minutes queue for McDonald's after placing our order. 15 minutes queue for Leon. Why do motorway services have to be this bad? They charge enough for the products so sort it out.

Driving up the M5 to Brum, opted for a Quick Splash & Dash at the Roadchef Strensham M5 Northbound. All clean and tidy for a change. Nice and quiet on a Sunday morning. Very quick. Lots of parking for a change.

We stopped off at the M5 services and decided to try LEON's, the person serving was very friendly , little bit pricey, one of us liked the food the other didn't personal choice, you are given a friendly thank you note and encouraged to write a review on their site, I did but beware, I scored 3's on a scale of 1 to 5, and yet the thank you at the end when I had no option to alter it brought up all 4 out of 5! Not impressed. My personal issue was the chicken burger it was chicken but to me wasn't chicken breast but a cheaper cut of meat that I wasn't so impressed about. The fries aren't fries, check the picture, the fries are actually potato slices so if you are particular about fries being fries check the pictures don't' assume especially if you have fussy eaters in your party. The only other thing for me was what I hoped was a joke, when the counter person said they hid the sauces under the counter so the kids wouldn't take a handful! I found it a little insulting to be honest - adults can be just as bad!

24hour McDonalds closed but nobody had bothered closing the app, so planned meal there, ordered and paid for food, went in to collect but closed. So now hungry and having paid for a meal they had no intention of delivering. Is this fraud? Or even legal?

Had the most revolting meal ever here last year at Chozen Noodle and accidentally stopped here again today, had even worse meal at Fresh food cafe, how can anyone go so wrong with a falafel wrap. Vile coffee. Stay away from this ugly mean dirty horrible place.

After spending money on food thats cold and rubbery i wouldn't recommed. The food we recived was cold and the fries were hard and unedable. Definately not worth the money will not go here again!

Drivethrough Costa Coffee. Coffee fine, service fine however the cranked service tray facilitating delivery was grubby and when the stirrers are put on it without a napkin it is not hygenic

Went to costa today, staff lovely, usual costa products. The seats a dirty the tables are cleated but not very clean. Really busy, small horrible toilets and washbasins. Hubby said urinals filthy.

Much busier than last time we were here but still covid aware. Even though 90% not wearing masks. You can ask people but that is all. Be aware of your surroundings!!!

Pulled in for breakfast en route to Devon. Over the years had a few of McD’s breakfasts, some poor, some good, some excellent. This one was excellent, hot, fresh, tasty. Guy calling the numbers also excellent.

I bought a breakfast box and can honestly say hand on heart it was disgusting and I threw it in the bin, the eggs we’re a disgrace, like rubber. The sausage had been deep fried and full of grease. Cheap tinned tomatoes that tasted horrible,...

The toilets were filthy, no loo roll, sanitary bins full and overflowing. Service at the eating place very slow. Generally not a nice place

Fresh, tasty food. Friendly efficient service. Paprika chicken served with fresh roasted veg in a box ready to go. Korean burger served in non-pappy bun. All had their fries- delicious. A happy family. Would recommend over a maccies-yes, more expensive than maccies, and maccies coffee...

Stopped for a quick bathroom breaks whilst on the motorway. Provides what it needs to. Was busy. Access and parking straightforward on and off motorway.

I stop for a coffee and apple pie, first they have no apple pies because the fryer is being cleaned so I get some fries and coffee but then it takes another 10 minutes then the fries are undercooked, cold and dry and the coffee...

The negativity in this review is based on our experience of having breakfast at LEON. The facilities at these services and the social distancing / sanitising measures were actually very good. Unfortunately the experience at LEON let it all down. After seeing a big queue...

Stopped here and decided to eat at the noodles place, we chose a&e noodles at a cost of around £7 each. What a disappointment, a tub full of dry over cooked noodles with some uncle Ben’s s&s chicken, very disappointing, edible but nothing else

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The service is efficient. They engaged in a conversation with me which made my day.

Strensham southbound Services is a good place for a service break. The toilets were clean, there are many restaurants and stores to chose from, and the employees are friendly. It’s easy to get on and off the motorway and they have outdoor seating.

As service stations go, this is pretty nice.Loads of parking and an airy spacious feel inside. Plenty of sanitising stations and a very clean appearance. As for selection there is open to choose from even a gluten free takeout. All in all we recommend Roadchef Strensham as one of the better service stations.As with most services, the toilet facilities always seem to be on the far side of the building from the entrance.

Absolutely amazing food burger, was the best I had ever had. 10/10 definitely going again. Amazing service.

I was driving from grimsby to gloucester in an all electric car..1st time i had driven one...was fast running out of charge and john kindly jumped into his own car so i could follow him to northbound services where there was a charger. I am a coeliac and often struggle to eat at service stations. At Strensham on the M5 southbound I found Leon which has a lovely selection of delicious hot, gluten-free food that you don't have to wait for. it also caters for vegans and other dietary requirements. I was waiting for less time to be served then the people queing for McDonalds. The rice, Italian meatballs and salad were delicious and filled me up without making me feel bloated. I often stop at Gloucester because the services there are amazing but I would be happy to stop at Strensham again.

the usual "fine" if you stay more than 2 hrs, either £12 if you realise in time, or £100 surprise by post. Services used to be places you can rest. They've always been a rip off but now they've found a way to rip you off even if you don't buy much.

Baby changing facilities were appalling. The one attached to the disabled toilets stank to high heaven, the men’s baby changing door wouldn’t close and the ladies baby changing facility was just as bad. The changing table looked filthy, there was no where to put the changing bag, the bin was broken and the entire room needed a deep clean.The ladies’ loos themselves were in no better state. Considering how much money was spent on refurbishing these services it is shocking!

I have never stopped at a services where the disabled facilities are the furthest away from the parking than this! It's at the opposite end of the building. The bins were overflowing. All in all it was a disaster!

Very clean, good choice of shops and polite staff. Will defo put this on my stop when I next have to travel.

A well modernised service station. Clean neat and tidy with some decent outlets including Leon & McDonalds. All good as far as services areas go. Not overpriced outlets which makes a change

After 36 hours of airport and flight food, we needed to refuel on the drive home. Coincided with some Villa fans after the match so very slow getting served, not enough staff, no specials so just the basic menu which is grim at the best of times. Should have gone next door to Leons

Easy to park recently upgraded I think. Seating area is huge and nice with colour and different chairs and tables. Toilets clean and it has a leon food outlet. Best services

We use this service station on a regular basis and for the first time decided to have a hot drink and snacks from Costa. Given all the other outlets on this site have given excellent service I was appalled with the service I received at the hands of Catia behind the counter of Costa. No hello, no pleasantries, no manners and certainly someone who should not be in contact with customers.

This was a pit stop while heading to Cardiff. Costa staff were very friendly and fast and the toilets were clean. Thank you

After a weekend in Manchester and on our way back to Devon we stopped at strensham as it’s half way,it’s a very clean services with plenty of choice,we opted for a costa coffee and a Cornish pasty,both were very good but the staff in costa were not the best and it took a while to get our drinks,we will stop here again for sure as we enjoy the variety

The services facilities were fine. I saw Leon's next to Macdonald's and decided to try it as "natural" food. I opened the food after leaving to find light coloured fluff/hair on the fries and the bottom of the burger was completely saturated with what I think was watery mayonnaise

Have never come across Leon's before but so glad we did. Advertised as a fast food restaurant with a healthy alternative and it certainly delivered. I had the halloumi wrap which was wrapped in silver foil whilst himself had the chilli chicken rice box. Both were delicious and served quickly. The girl on the counter was very friendly and the place was lovely and clean. The amenities at this service station are also very clean and tidy.

Literally every single time we go here our takeaway order is always shortchanged. Whether it’s missing condiments, extras like bacon or the fries for the meals.

I don't know who is responsible for cleaning the McDonalds seating area (ie. McDonalds staff or the Service station cleaners) but it was dire when we went on Sunday 25th August.

Ideally located on the m5 just before the turn off on m50 so ideal spot for travellers to south west or mid wales

Total rip off. Incomplete order, made to feel terrible for asking for the missing items. Lesson learnt.

Stupidly noisy, couldn't hear yourself think with the open plan design. Toilets required attention, wet floors an accident waiting to happen. But the car park was well marked out and plenty of space.

Quick lunch at the Services with friends! We just had a tea and a coffee with a salad each. No complaints but quite an average snack.

6am stop, toilets disgusting, faeces smeared on one, no toilet paper in another, 3rd one not even flushed. Dining area equally as bad, filthy tables, and debris on the floor.

Came here as a stop on a long journey. Toilets were very clean and well presented. Ordered food from Leon’s which was cheap and very nice. Other members of my party went to McDonald’s with no issues. Good services all round.

Not a massive choice of light snacks, we settled on Costa where I had a cheese scone & a smoothie, and Chris had a bakewell tart & tea. Very friendly service, and a pleasant enough seating area - very clean.

I am not vegetarian,I love tasty,fresh food-meat or veggie. I drive furthur to go to this services for Leon. The woman behind me in the queue said she did the same.

We stopped as I was feeling rather peckish having left home for Cornwall without eating breakfast, & needing a break after a couple of hours driving.

Every time I come they always get my order wrong ! My coffee was terrible and cold I’ve had missing bits of my order also ! I wouldn’t be bothered if it only happens every now and then but every time I go there they always make a mistake it’s clearly a busy place on mornings I understand that but there manager should prepare for it and sort the staff out half hearted they don’t care

Not stopped at Strensham services in years - always found it grubby and with a poor selection of eateries. How different it is now! Variety of food places, including a Leon - fantastic healthy fast food. The only disappointment is the Spar that charges a squillion times the prices in regular Spars, but it won't deter us from stopping off again - we'll just boycott the shop!!

Great food and, for a ‘fast food’ place, supported by excellent, knowledgeable, caring and friendly service…… and you don’t get that in many fast food establishments!

Visited on a Monday- two channels for customers to speed up service. Possibly a third if all the tills were working

Called here for a break from travelling and tried the Costa coffee outlet. Not many tables taken so we sat to have a breakfast wrap and drinks. The tables were dirty and still got pots on them. We had to look around for a reasonably clean looking table, but still had ask for our table to be wiped. Coffee was okay and on deciding to leave I (being unable to climb stairs and also partially sighted) wanted a disabled toilet. We had to do two laps of the shops, through chairs and tables to arrive right into the corner of the building outside a disabled toilet, to be met with a sign saying get the key from W.H. Smith! Another lap of the building to obtain a key with, a request to return it back to them. Yet again, locking the toilet there is another lap of the building to take this key back!! Please be aware... there does seems to be only this disabled toilet on the ground floor. Hopefully you will manage get to the toilet without any mishaps after fetching the key before trekking back to get into the toilet. I will know next time where to go without walking my husband and son miles around the building for me to go to the toilet. It is a services so don't expect anything more.

Services were lovely and clean plenty of space to park. We had food from McDonald’s for four people and waited 25 mins for our order! It wasn’t even busy!!! Staff were too busy chatting and laughing at each others conversations than serving food

There is a Leon natural food shop In here that can feel omnis Veges and vegans all gf- not cheap but its food x

I at the counter of the costa here and placed my order the 3 female members of staff were more interested it talking to each other rather than serving and making the drinks they were clearly having a laugh at the male in the que waiting to order but as speaking a foreign language I don’t know what was said but every time they spoke they looked and laughed which made the visit rather awkward and the coffee was not presented to the normal costa standards real shame

Nothing more than standard services for a motorway service station. The typical McDonalds WHSmith etc. All overpriced. Ordered food from Mcdonalds and my order was served quicky and was hot so that was good.

This is a typical motorway service station, McDonald’s is hopeless, service very slow and even though seating was empty was told by surly teenager that area was shut, young girl with him thought it was funny, didn’t once i put her straight.

The car park takes a little negotiating, particularly in winter when the sun is low and bright in the sky, Services themselves are OK, nothing special, normal choices of outlets you expect, toilets clean and well maintained. Car parking over 2 hours is £12 but if using for buisness there are lots of tables to work/meet at and no hassle from the staff.

Called on route home for food last evening, picked the fresh food cafe and although we never choose to eat in the services this was a total surprise to us how good the meal was, the burger was good quality, no greasy chips, and the brioche bun was really good, the area were we ate was spotless and the gentlemen who served us greeted us with a smile, and 2 meals for just under £13 in the services didn't make us feel overcharged for what we had, overall a pleasant surprise

Used the Mac Donald's for our meal, what a load of rubbish. dirty tables, food luke warm, cola flat, lack of serviettes etc and it was not even busy, saw our meal was ready on the board and about 5 after ours was served before us, but the assistant had to make a decision of one tray or two to put food on, hard choices to make.

Called in at these services to stretch our legs, have a cuppa and use the toilets. As this isn't our area we have never used these services before but we could tell they had been recently refurbished as everything was impressive. Not having visited before I can't comment on if the refurbishment has improved on how it was previously but we would definitely call in again if passing. Everywhere was spotlessly clean including the toilets.

Driving down the M5, decided to stop off at Strensham Southbound Services for a pitstop.

On Monday 17th, I decided to stop at strensham South for a break as traffic was silly. I was able park up but not as close as I would of liked. On arriving at the doors I pressed the button to open the doors for me, nothing happened so I pressed a few times to no avail. A kind gentleman opened the other doors for me as I was unable to do so myself and he also opened the inner doors too. It was cold and a little fine rain.

Not fresh and covered in grease This kitchen is a valuable space and should be run by someone who has a better idea of healthy I have had better food from a rode side van

Strensham has just been done out and it’s great now. I had breakfast at Leon. A lot healthier than McDonald’s. Highly recommended.

Didn't stop for long but we like Strensham. Light interior lots of parking around. AND they have a Leon (love their Korean chicken burger). Facilities all clean. Lots of seating & eating available. Worth aiming for.

What a pleasant experience. I've not come across Leon's before. Served by a lovely, smiley, helpful person, I wanted a haloumi wrap without salad. There were no tuts or groans and in fact I was offered extra haloumi. Served fresh but reasonably quickly and it was delicious. Don't understand why the huge queues at the adjacent burger place when Leon's is an option.

Delicious food, clean toilets and very helpful staff we ate at the fresh food cafe lots of choice reasonably priced.

It was August, the car park was busy, but due to the high turnaround it was easy to find a spot. If you have your own food, there is a separate seated area inside the building where you can eat it. The place has been refurbished and is well laid out. One of the better Motorway services that I have visited.

I’ve always stopped at this service station as it’s the last proper one before I join the M50 and head into Wales.

My partner and i Stopped here today on my long journey to Yorkshire from wales. As im lactose intolerant, i asked for a soya hot chocolate. I got given my drink labelled as a "soya hot chocolate" along with our food. Thought nothing of it as the guys behind the bar seemed competent enough, until i was driving down the M5 and took a gulp of the drink to be greeted with a normal milk drink instead of soya.

These places are a regular stop off for me, I find them crowded and busy and I am afraid mostly full of unhealthy food.

A lovely fresh modern service station with a great range of eateries and shops. Great disabled parking which were well signposted and we found it easy to park. We found the whole area very fresh and clean. Plenty of outside seating too.

Stopped for lunch on way down to Wales. Surprised at the different eateries and shops other than the usual BK, McD's and Costa etc. A nice change. Everywhere was bright and clean. Only exception were the toilets, Could do with cleaning more often and smelling fresher. Plenty of parking and nice green areas. Would definitely use again.

I had a great dinner from Chozen Noodle at Strensham on my way home - chicken massaman curry and rice. Extremely tasty and worth the motorway prices!

Whoever thought that making caravans turn into their designated parking area so sharply was a good idea? When you do get in yo have another sharp turn to make to access the few parking spaces and if you are behind someone staying a bit longer then reversing is the only option. It’s an absolute nightmare. Plus some cars and vans seem to think it’s ok to park here too and totally block it up. What idiots!!! We will not be stopping here again. No idea what the services inside were like as we couldn’t park. Obviously designed by the ‘we hate caravans ‘ brigade!!!!

Upselling annoys me. "Would you like fries and onion rings with your order?" But not informed they're extra until I get charged is basically dishonest. On principal I won't use them again.

Stopped at the McDonalds last night on a long drive home. Apart from getting the order incorrect, the worst thing was everywhere in the food hall there were flies. Around the condiment area it was really off putting and meant not touching anything.

We had breakfast here and it was really lovely! I’m vegan and they went out of their way to accommodate me, which was really appreciated. Excellent quality food, healthy and fantastic service. A very pleasant surprise for a service station, highly recommended!

Absolutely disgusted with the expensive prices! Had two paninis which were dry and tasteless with barely any filling! The latte was lukewarm, and when complained about it, iteashust topped up with hot water! Wouldn’t bother ever going there again!

The services are pretty good with decent outside seating areas. They have a better than average selection of food outlets with noodles and Leon in addition to the usual junk food.
