Streets was recommended to us because it's dog-friendly and we like eating whole foods not processed. We hadn't booked but were offered a choice of a couple of tables. Great music and nice "street food" vibe ie undecorated and basic. It's a "small plates" Tapas style menu but of Indian origin. There wasn't a great deal of choice but we're quite adventurous so we ordered all that we liked the look of on the menu. Limited Zero alcohol choices. Service was casual. Tasty food but small portions, which left us a little hungry and expensive for the amount of food on the plate. Overall, it was an interesting meal out and seemed popular and friendly.

Some of the best indian inspired food i have ever had! Small plates - what a great way to share food - we choose many of the dishes the dahls, chicken tikka dishes. all were accompanied with home made paratha - sensational! As too was the show stopper starter of pani puris - Wow, quite the tastiest way to begin a memorable evening. Thank you Chef Julian Brown & team - you rock 🔥

Great food, great drinks menu, great service, great atmosphere at this little place off the beaten track which is making a name for itself through word of mouth. Thoroughly recommend for the fantastic Indian street food and properly made cocktails!

We loved this place! Warm, friendly service; delicious small plates of Indian food with a modern twist (eg no-waste condiments); fabulous funk playlist; eclectic shabby decor with great lighting. And very reasonably priced for an up-and-coming area. There was a buzz even on a Wednesday night. Will definitely be back.

We had wanted to go to Streets on previous trips to Margate but didn't get organised enough to book. We were delighted to get a last minute cancellation on Saturday night and were not disappointed. The food, atmosphere and service were excellent and we can't wait to go back next time we make it down.

So there were several dishes that we recognised but they all had their own special taste or flavour. We ordered one each of all their smaller dishes. I probably wouldn’t have ordered the jhalmuri which was described as a twist on Bombay mix, but my husband was interested, so we did and it was delicious. Bombay mix is doing it down, it has so many flavours. Both the onion bhajis and the pakoras were delicious with a lovely Smokey flavour. Sadly we didn’t receive the keema croquettes but were charged for them which is why we have only given 4 stars. We are sure it was a mistake but it was a bit of a shame. We only ordered on larger dish - the cod, which was utterly outstanding - and two parathas (no rice), but felt is wasn’t quite enough so also ordered the mushroom mutter curry which was fantastic. No desserts. We felt we had eaten enough, but not too much and all of it was fantastic. It was just a shame we didn’t get the keema (lamb) croquettes.

We only popped into Streets for a drink on our way to dinner in Margate. The place is really cleverly put together inside, a great choice of beer and wine and some really interesting bar snacks. We had the Bhel Puri, something neither of us had had before which was so flavoursome and so clearly home made. The food scene in Margate is brilliant and this is another great addition. We look forward to coming down again soon.

We were recommended this restaurant and were not disappointed. The food is absolutely amazing. The staff are welcoming and each dish we had was an explosion of flavour.

My one critics of this restaurant is that their signage needs to be more prominent. My friend and I went here for an Indian meal on the recommendation of our bed and breakfast landlady. She was spot on. Do not go here expecting the usual Indian fare found in most restaurants. This is Indian street food, lots of small plates to share. We didn’t recognise any of the dishes on the menu, so put our trust in the waiter and just asked him to feed us. Our trust was well placed and they brought up a variety of dishes, which were all delicious, none too spicy for our palate. Even though I would now recognise the dishes, my understanding is that they are continually evolving the menu, so would still just ask for them to feed us. I do like a new experience.

What a gem. We were in Margate for a funeral and work. After visiting the seafront and an awful place called The Bull , we stopped in The Street. Wow, fantastic cocktails, fabulous wine selection, a very nice informative gentleman gave me recommendations from what I described and we took home a bottle that was spot on. Highly recommend.

We came here for a meal to celebrate my birthday and although service was good, I left feeling disappointed. Not sure if it was anything to do with the main guy not being there but there was a few things that I wasn’t happy with…. The toilets stank of urine. You could smell it from outside the toilets. It was disgusting. The ladies toilet would not flush. I reported it but nothing was done about it. My daughter’s dinner had black hairs in her food and my other daughter’s chicken korma looked microwaved. There was also a real language barrier with one of the waiters who couldn’t understand some drinks. It’s a shame because it’s the first time we’ve had a negative experience here.

We have been coming to the minster Tandoori since we were young adults (I am now 56) and this restaurant, in the 35 odd years we have been eating here, never fails to produce wonderful food. Our grown up children love the food and my 80 year old mum has never had an Indian meal and she thought the flavours were fantastic. We don't live local to minster however we always get our takeaways from here as the flavours and portions are spot on. We wouldn't dream of going elsewhere!!

Went to this restaurant for a pizza (firstly banging, so yummy) and the chef gave us a sample of his chicken tikka…delicious, I went home that night and woke up in the morning craving it again so went back for more. VERY impressed, I had the Dahl and chicken tikka masala, great value for money, chef was lovely and gave me a glass of his mango yogurt drink. I am very upset I don’t live locally, LOVE LOVE LOVE
