Stoneygate Farm Shop & Cafe in Richmondshire

Great range of breakfast. Fresh produce in great surroundings. Good value and high quality food. First choice for breakfast in the area.

This was a follow up visit from three months ago. The response from my last review, prompted a request for thicker bacon. I was not disappointed. My little mate had the farmhouse (baby) breakfast, and I plumbed for the butchers (fat boy) option. Mine was a pleasure to eat, perfectly cooked, and presented, with bacon that could not be faulted. Scores on the doors from two very satisfied customers? 10/10 A joy to visit, and a greater joy to eat here. Thank you.

Lovely cafe the food was fresh and hot, reasonably priced and the coffee was great too, all the staff were friendly and attentive as it is table service and you could also purchase most items from the farm shop to cook at home. The family farm produces all the products you can buy and is butchered on site. There is plenty of outdoor seating. It is very easy to locate using Google maps as it is relatively new so was not on my satnav.

We went after being recommended by three locals We went twice, for two breakfasts and a shop the second time Nice ambience, polite staff, personal service Excellent food in the cafe We filled a shopping basket full of lovely edibles to take home Not cheap but we got the range and quality that we wanted, so we got what we paid for, and were very pleased and would not have described it as overpriced We will certainly go back as it set a high standard and was a pleasurable ecperience

We visited for my husbands birthday and went for the Saturday night steak club. Great service, prompt drinks served, we didn’t have a starter but they sounded nice. We both had a ribeye steak which was served with chips, onion rings, tomato and mushroom- the steak was *huge * and cooked to perfection. Husband ordered rare and I ordered medium rare; they were spot on. We have been looking for a local place for good steaks and we’re glad to have found it.

We wanted to sit in the window for breakfast but told we couldn’t because it was a table for four. There was nobody in and it was 9am. They wanted to sit us in the middle of the room ( where the tables for two are) we left it was ridiculous. Soggy bread from poached eggs We go to Copley cheese makers now really good breakfast

Delicious meal, cooked to order, that was fresh & hot. We chose the comfortable indoor seating; but, had my dog needed to stretch his legs, we would have been equally happy in the outdoor seating area over in the cleanest ‘working farm shed’ I’ve ever seen - I’m a Farmer’s daughter :-)

Unbelievably slow service. It’s not a very big cafe so there are a small number of covers and it took us over an hour to get our breakfast. It’s not cheap either!

Had a brilliant time with the family at Stoneygate farm shop this morning. The bacon sandwich was a delight from pigs raised on the farm. White bread I was told was from a local bakers will be making a stop there sometime in the near future. Service was great and very friendly and accommodating to me and my family. Overall a great stop if your passing by Ravensworth or Richmond.

Ordered a decaf Americano a lemonade and slice of cake. Waited over 15 minutes for service and both drinks delivered not what we ordered. £10.40!!! Expensive and very average. Only outside seating in a cow shed. Disappointed after looking forward to this.

Cheap white bread roles, the tiniest amount of salad garnish, two cups of tea and £16 total. Mad expensive for what it was.

I had heard many great reviews about Stoneygate so thought I would try it for Sunday Lunch for my dads birthday … it did not disappoint. Fantastic service, fabulous quality food, lovely setting. Will be telling all my friends x The shop also had some lovely things and a fabulous butchery.

We stopped for lunch at Stoneygate farm shop at 13.20 and got our food at 14.10. Service was very slow. The pulled pork was soaked and overwhelmed with barbecue sauce and tasted bitter. The side salad was very small with limp lettuce and no dressing and very dry. My wife ordered a cheese and ham sandwich and had to pay extra £1.50 for the cheese and the side of chips were cremated and soaked in cooking oil. Very disappointed, very expensive with ery poor service.

This is a wonderful lesser known Farm Shop & Cafe just outside Ravensworth. Quiet but really welcoming, staff were helpful & friendly from the moment we walked in. My Hubbie had Benny’s Burger which he raved about which for a qualified chef is no mean threat. I had the Mac Cheese minus the bacon bits & homemade garlic bread absolutely stunning so flavoursome & great portion size. I cannot praise this place enough a really great find & an amazing alternative to Mainsgill. I recommend this place without a second thought hoping it continues to grow well worth a visit I’ll certainly be back in the near future.
