Went here for lunch excellent service and food fantastic like always we never go any else when coming to fareham for lunch.

Went to stones for a traditional full English breakfast. The customer service was not the best, no table service. No alternatives or swaps allowed on the set menu. The establishment itself is clean and tidy but the service and standard of food could definitely be improved. The food served was average in every sense of the word. The sausages were poor quality, the bacon was very tasty and fresh. The price was average for the meals ordered, but could/should consist of higher quality ingredients. Table service would improve and benefit as the wait to order could be timely, overall the food was average. Comparable to a greasy spoon.

We regularly visit stokes, and today's visit was great as always. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive and the whole place was spotless This is our go-to place when in Fareham and is a little gem

Have been here many times over the years and it has never disappointed. The staff are lovely and very willing to help and the food is consistently great. It is reasonably priced and has a really nice atmosphere inside. Great decor, great people, great café

Have been using this coffee shop & sister shop La Galerie for years with family & friends and have always been made welcome .Until the other day when my friend & I asked manager Ty where his brother was & for some reason told us we were being rude & barred us from both cafes. We work with the public so know how to treat them . Think someone needs a customer service injection . Their lost !!!

Me and my partner came for lunch after a lovely day waking along the beach, Emma and Anthony helped us find the best dish on the menu, swordfish won our hearts thank you for a lovely experience we will come again!!!

It's was our second visit today, what a gem!! Conveniently situated near Fareham shopping centre. Good home cooked food served by excellent staff. Extremely clean and welcoming. Exceptional toilets. While we were there an elderly gentleman came in and a member of staff sat him down and took his order and payment. Bringing his meal to him. That was above and beyond normal service. Well done can't praise them enough. We have only lived in Hampshire for three weeks, loving it all ready. We will be back!!

Always good food when we visit Fareham wouldn't go anywhere else. Friendly service always get a table . Chicken fillet and chips excellent

Just recieved a deliveroo order and the sausages that came with it were raw and pink in the middle, also the food came cold and was nearly an hour later than we order, will not be using this again, at all, advise you to stay clear of stones cafe in fareham they are vile, rang them and they said that they are very popular and basically that they don't care their food is raw, and tried to offer us more food and clearly we said we will never be using their cafe again, this place needs better staff and needs shut down 😠😠😠

A lovely cafe that is impeccably clean and staff are the friendliest! Coffee was delicious and our food was beautifully presented and clearly freshly made - a prawn jacket potato and an all day breakfast. A lovely lunch!

Keeping ourselves safe is very important at the moment we visited the other day some tables had please don't use signs on them so we sat at one without a sticker, couldn't find track and trace anywhere then the staff allowed someone to sit directly...

Went for Brunch, Staff very helpful, I use mobility scooter, they helped with the door, took drinks to table for me as I waited for my daughter to arrive, once she arrived we had a really nice meal,

Stopped here to reenergise during Xmas shopping and was not disappointed! Lovely surroundings sat in a booth, impeccable service and a delicious hot omelette cooked fresh to order. Reasonable prices but it’s the service that sets it apart from other restaurants, absolutely top notch.

My Wife and I both had Baked Potato with prawns and crab sticks, this was excellent, the seating very comfortable, good atmosphere attentive staff and very clean

Perfect place for lunch. Clean, all staff pleasant. Excellent chicken baguette. Fresh and well filled.After I had eaten, by the time I had used their (clean) loo, my table had been wiped and readied for the next occupant.I particularly liked the notices at each table asking you to order at counter and that the food would be brought to you. It is great to know what the set up is and not have to guess.

Went in to Stones for a quick bite to eat and after several hours me and my daughter felt unwell resulting in severe stomach pains with plenty of visits needed to the toilet! We both had the cheese and bacon toastie and have put it down to this as it was the only thing we'd had that was the same.

Popped into this very clean restaurant to enjoy a light lunch . Staff very attentive and menu quite varied . My husband settled on scrambled eggs on toast and I had a mixed grill . Food arrived hot . Husband enjoyed his meal . On the whole my meal was enjoyable although I would say the burger and sausages were of a inferior quality. Definitely would recommend the scrambled egg and my chips were delicious along with the mushrooms. Toilet available and clean . Would visit again and try another dish .

Sister in law recommended Stones for breakfast. We had not heard of it. So thought why not. Excellant full English breakfast served very quickly. Would recommend Stones to anyone.

Time to give the shopping at rest...... and SUPPORT THE LITTLE GUY..... by having a tasty coffee here. Comfortable seating, good food choices (nicely prepared) and would happily go there again if/when in the area again 👍

.. and we found it very good , The place is clean, tidy with no cooking smells .. We found a table of our choice checked out the menu .. noted our table # and placed our order at the counter .. 1 Ham salad sandwich on brown no butter .. 1 Bacon & Egg sandwich on white .. Did not wait long for our food !! .. however the Ham sandwich had butter ON and we now had a SAUSAGE and egg sandwich not Bacon ..these mistakes were rectified right away to our satisfaction .. great coffee by the way ..

I have eating here since they opened. All of the staff are very friendly and their attention to detail and cleanliness is excellent. Their burgers are freshly made and are very tasty. The whole breakfast range is very good. I personally like good food and drink and Stones deliver all of the classic British food which is really good. They are humbled by praise and always go above my expectations. The prices are very week placed for the food you get. Burger and chips better than next door, fresh and the same price.

What a disaster this place is. We went in and the waiter couldn't even speak English to tell us what to do or where to sit. After a few minutes of trying to establish the protocol, we went to the counter to order out drinks and food. There were people stood in the background doing nothing and didn't even engage with us, not hello, we will be with you in a mo, nothing. We stood there for about five minutes and the turned round and walked out.

Waiters dressed traditionally in black waistcoat and white shirt. Smiling and friendly. Coffee is good as is the food. Recommended for breakfast.

Popped in before shopping yet again beautiful scrambled egg on toast so creamy and stunning.. Lovely cappuccino to.. Staff are always welcoming. Lovely and clean to the cafe

Called in for a quick lunch whilst travelling through Fareham and ordered the ½lb burger with a side order of onion rings.

Been here a few times now with either my partner or family, and each time has been just as good as the last.

Popped in here after an early appointment at QA. We found the establishment to be very clean, tidy and very inviting. The staff were smiley, friendly and helpful. They worked with precision and carried out their jobs in a friendly way. Excellent service and food was amazing

I go to Stones on a regular basis when I'm in Fareham. Drinks are prepared to order in front of you; meals are brought to your table. The cafe is immaculately clean. As soon as a table is vacated, one member of staff sweeps up under and around the table while a second member of staff cleans the table top. This is something you rarely see in other establishments. I also saw on one occasion a member of staff, on his hands and knees, sweeping the large mat down the centre walkway with a dustpan and hand brush.

Use it regularly, never had a bad meal. Food always good, service is fast and friendly and premises is always clean. My one complaint is that they stopped doing the coronation chicken, which was really yummy.

Never had a bad meal here, staff are polite and helpful, the restaurant is always clean. The mixed grill has been a regular dish and has always been of the same good standard.

My wife and I have been using this restaurant for some time now and I have yet to find fault in anything they do.

Was great first time and second, food always excellent, coffee & service good, only problem is they charge you for paying by card if your on your own not really the thing anywhere should be doing, puts me off going in there as its annoying when you just want a coffee.

We have been lunching here for a while so now time for a review.We usually have lunch on a Wednesday after we have been shopping.The place is always fairly busy and sometimes you have to wait for a table but not for long,the staff are lovely and the place is clean.The food is nice and the service is swift, just what you need it to be for a weekday lunch.We will return.

After a week in London with me, I took my granddaughter back to Hampshire and stayed 10 days.

Not knowing where to eat in Fareham we walked passed stones and decided to take a chance....the menu was reasonably priced. We had fish and chips at £5.95 & a pot of tea at£1.80.We found the staff to be very friendly and all looked very smart in their uniform. During our time there...the staff were continuely sweeping ,mopping and clearing tables.We were very impressed and would recommend this cafe/restaurant. We will definitely be visiting again

Great place for lunch or coffee. Nice friendly helpful staff and great service. Had a English breakfast and it was as it should be tasty and hot. You are shown to a seat and then go to counter to order your food drinks. Drinks are made there and then and food is delivered to your table. Enjoy.

I don't really go to cafa because o never find them tidy and clean and hygienic . Everyone was how good this one was so I finally tried it out I was impressed . Will defo be coming back . Very reasonable prices . The who cafa was clean tidy you had people cleaning which I like see shows hat sorta place is . Staff were really polite and the food came quickly and look nice way was lay out . Defo be coming back probably the hygienic cafa in all Hampshire like the fact you had tea in tea pots get lit in their about 3 cups and they big capachino cups they gave us . Most cafa you get in a mug and don't like how make it so this way can make it how strong or weak you like .

I visited Stones last month with a friend, she bought two coffees and went to use a card, the person who served her was abrupt, rude and said she had to spend £5 before she could use her card, she bought an Eccles cake which we didn't really want so she could make up the money to use her debit card.We vowed we wouldn't go back

I ordered a cheese and bacon baguette with some sparkling water. The sparkling water was warm and not very sparkling. I then waited 20 minutes for my food to arrive. Upon its arrival I discovered it had been covered in tomato sauce. So I approached the counter where a very angry, very rude manager shouted at me, shouting it was my fault for not reading the menu properly. I looked and the menu has options for both with and without tomato sauce. Clearly I had not made a mistake. I then requested a refund, the manager begrudgingly gave me a refund after I was required to ask three times. It was only for the food, he refused to refund my warm drink. I stated that I wouldn't be returning and he swore at me. Don't go guys, plenty of other, friendlier places to eat in Fareham.

I have passed this restaurant a few times I wish I'd have gone in sooner,the place is just lovely the staff are all dressed smartly so nice to see ,they were all friendly the food was good and not expensive .I would recommend this restaurant to everyone there is something on the menu for everyone

Lovely staff - quick turn around but not shoving you out the door type of quick. Had a baked potato and one of the best latte's I've ever had. Baked potato was meant to be coronation kitchen but I don't think it was think it was chicken tikka but it didn't make any difference it was lovely.As I say fabulous latte. The girls at the local building society recommended to it me today and said it was very clean - which it was.

Fortunately or unfortunately, whichever way you look at it, we had just finished 2 very pleasant sausage baguettes & a cappuccino when I went to the gents. Whilst I was drying my hands a member of staff dressed in chefs gear walked out of the cubical, straight out of the gents & into the kitchen. I will not be returning, which is a pity because the food seemed good.

Stones serve ordinary English food e.g. Traditional all day breakfast, baked potato, omelette, panini, toasties and so on. And they do it very wellService is order at the till and served at your table. It is quick, polite and friendly. The food is well prepared and presented. The cafe is kept clean (e.g. Cleaning under the table after each customer. Don't see that in some expensive restaurants). In case they are full, and often at lunchtime they are, go up the street to The Gallery, which is the same company

This is an ideal restaurant/café for a quick meal. The staff are very polite and the tables are always kept clean. There is quite a large selection on the menu. The service is quick and food cooked well. I have used this restaurant lots of times and have never had reason to complain

We visit Stones regularly, the staff are lovely, the food is great quality and value for money and the cleanliness is outstanding!If you're looking for a decent cafe for breakfast, lunch or early tea this is a great place to visit. They never let us down!!

From the moment you walk in you just know you are going to get fantastic food and amazing service, the place is so clean, as soon as someone leaves the tables and chairs are wiped down and under the table is swept. The food is fantastic and the staff are amazingly polite they can not do enough for you, will make this my place to go if I'm in town shopping.

As above, would definitely recommend to friends and relatives. Very good choice of menu. Their cakes are really delicious, nice size portions too.Only thing was, I must have dropped a sentimental pill box, with Scotland on it. Hope staff find it. I was in with friends on Saturday 3rd Sept.2016, about an hour before they closed.

If you like a good selection for a lunch menu or for snacks, this is the place. Menu contains all the usual lunch time food you would expect and it is cooked beautifully. The team deserve a mention as the service is excellent and everyone is eager to help you enjoy your meal and get served quickly. They look like they enjoy their job and make you feel good to have stopped to dine. The place is absolutely spotless and as each table is freed up, the staff come to clean the area for the next person. My brother and I are regulars at Stones and enjoy visiting once a week for lunch or late breakfast. They go above and beyond to ensure exceptional service is provided. Food is delicious and affordable. Staff are lovely and friendly and always greet you with a smile.

We've been here for lunch a few times now and it's always been great food with a friendly service. It has a really good proper cafe feel to it and with a wide range of food on the menu there's something for everybody. Their website is very basic and could probably do with an update as it says they are closed on Sundays, which they're not and also that they do not accept cards, which they do.

Stones offer good honest food, the menu choices offer snacks or a meal. The staff are friendly and are always working to keep the cafe immaculate how ever busy they get and I've seen the queues of people waiting to be seated!

Great position in the West Street. Friendly staff, well prepared delicious food at reasonable prices. Portion sizes substantial. Nice and exceptionally clean atmosphere. Eating inside or outside available.

Had a short wait again, but it was a Saturday lunch time. Shared a table with 2 delightful ladies. We were all impressed with the service & as before the food was hot well presented & delicious. .

First time but told it was very good and it was. Service quick, and the staff friendly and professional. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. The food was cooked fresh and the portions very good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is larger then it looks from the outside. The menu has a wide variety from snacks to full meals. I will certainly be returning and recommend it to anyone in Fareham, but it does get busy.

Cleanliness is second to none - after each sitting the staff were on hands and knees sweeping under the table ready for next customer.Food was great quality, generous portion and reasonably priced.Only thing I might have preferred is to order from the table rather than queuing to order.Definitely a place worth a visit if you want high end tasty cafe food at a reasonable price.

The best place to eat a meal in Fareham, very clean place and meal and service was excellent, every part of my visit was top notch, down to the service and food.

May have to wait to be seated but worth it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food actually arrives lovely and hot. Asked for bacon sandwich on brown bread, they had run out of brown but quickly went out to get some. The bacon was really tasty and thick. This place is spotless, not only do the tables get wiped after use but the chairs and if neccessary under the tables are swept. Always my first choice.

The fact that I have visited this café on numerous occasions indicates that it is, from my standards at least, a café which, whilst not being exceptional, provides reasonable food at reasonable prices which one can eat in a pleasant environment. It is certainly in my opinion the best of its kind in Fareham

This is my favourite place to visit for breakfast, when its early morning and its quiet its the perfect time to eat here. The staff are great and the food!

I have never been in any establishment before and been refused ice cubes in my glass of tap water (only wanted for taking a tablet). When I questioned it, I was told it was not company policy to give ice, unless I bought a bottle of water. Had I'd not already ordered and paid for food, I would have gone elsewhere. Shame on you Stones...you will never get my custom ever again!!!

Once again spot on. Clean comfortable diner style seating. Simple unfussy menu. Easy to order & happy to make adjustments to suit. Quick polite service. Food good quality cooked well. Does the job everytime. Wonderful place.
