Stones Reef Beach Bar & Kitchen in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

I enjoyed another great visit to this great place yesterday. Delicious food, lovely staff and a stunning location. Very popular and deservedly so.

We had an excellent lunch there yesterday…. mushroom bake and prawn bruschetta. Very efficient and friendly service…. couldn’t fault anything!

Fantastic bar great atmosphere overlooking the beach. Great tunes and bar prices reasonable for Cornwall. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely lovely meal, great service, and very well priced. As locals, it's nice to find somewhere that is not overpriced, with such great food and menu. Will def use on a regular basis. Great views, comfy seats or can take drinks to beach ⛱️ which is a step away. Thank you 😊

Arrived at noon after a couple of hours on the beach. Plenty of seating available inside but none outside due to the blistering heat. Ordered lunch for 5 persons with drinks. Good portion sizes and very nice food. Prawns on flatbread and burgers were particular tasty. The falafel burger was especially nice for our vegetarian member. Fries were also a big hit and enjoyed by all. This is the second time we’ve eaten here over the last few years and it’s now become part of our eating out list when we are planning are holiday agenda.

A lovely choice of lunches, beautifully presented and inexpensive. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Clean and tidy with a fantastic view of the beach and a generous car park to use.

We are staying nearby at Praa Sands Holiday Park and really wanted to give this place a try. It was a gorgeous, warm evening and Stonesreef is overlooking the beach with lots of outdoor seating, an outdoor bar and serves delicious food. It was the perfect choice for a warm summers evening and very reasonably priced at just under £50 for 2 adults meals, 1 side, 1 kids meal, 2 alcoholic drinks and 1 kids drink. We stayed for a few drinks and really enjoyed the chilled vibes and background music. We both ordered the Chimichurri Steak Flatbread which was lovely plus a side of fries. Also a child's chicken burger. They cater really well for allergies with them listed on the menu. (I have attached their current summer menu as I struggled to find an up to date one beforehand). Stonesreef also do 'pop up foodie friday' evenings with local businesses which is a nice alternative if you fancied something different (pizza, tacos, paella, curry as examples). However I believe they don't offer this during high season. Overall we had a lovely evening and definitely recommend if holidaying in the area.

What an amazing place, located overlooking the beautiful Praa sands beach. Really friendly and welcoming staff. Shocked with the food, great quality and very reasonably priced, same with the beer. We both had Greek salads with a shared side of olives, bread and olive oil & balsamic vinegar, really refreshing. Well worth a visit

Fabulous position staff really friendly and helpful had lunch and and drinks the food was excellent we were at praa sands for the week and visited this place more than once view was amazing

After the wind and rain this place was a fab Haven. We sat on a big bench seat and chilled out chatting with a drink whilst we watched the sea boil. Dogs happy to be out of the rain and enjoyed a rest. We didn't eat but the carvery looked delicious, certainly smelt delicious.

Popped in for coffee and hot chocolate after a morning walk. Nice atmosphere. Went back late afternoon and had the burger and chips which had the nicest bun I have ever had. Came with a nice fresh salad and a homemade coleslaw. Hubby had haddock and chips. Large portions and great value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive. Add the views and great music and it’s practically perfect

This is the 5th time we have visited here in the past 2 years. We haven't ever had a bad experience and found the staff to be pleasant and friendly. Praa Beach is lovely and very was very dramatic during the late half-term when we stayed at praa sands holiday park. We popped in every night of our stay, and the bar is both well supported by the local community and tourists. We look forward to coming back.

A fantastic place to sit and watch the surfers and the waves. The food is superb and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We will be back next year.

We popped in for a coffee at around 2pm on a damp weekday afternoon. All the staff were sitting together at the toilet end of the long thin cafe. All having their lunch. The male member of staff spotted us at the door and completely ignored us. He poured himself a pint of lager and went back to chatting to the teenage girl members of staff. One girl was engrossed in her lap top. She too had seen us standing at the door and she smirked and carried on with her lap top staring. We sat ourselves and waited for someone to serve us. And waited. And waited. Eventually the lager boy and lap top girl went behind the bar and continued to ignore us. I approached them and asked if orders had to be placed at the bar. The girl looked at me and sneered “yeh” I suggested that maybe a small sign near the entrance stating “please place your order at the bar” might be a good idea. The man said “I don’t know of nowhere round here that does table service” His attitude is appalling and the young woman who appeared to be in some kind of supervisory role was disinterested, and lacks any kind of customer empathy. I ordered our beverages and they were brought to us. We were made to feel like and inconvenience and not at all welcome. If the owner of this establishment reads this I’ll say that your staff need supervision, training and weeding out. I appreciate that you have a huge amount of tourists patronising your business who will only ever visit once, but you are losing valuable repeat business from people who are in the vicinity for months on end. I’ll never return.

We had fish bites & Skinny chips off "young ones" menu, small plate of pork belly bites, 3 soft cajun chicken breast tacos and Crayfish Linguine off mains...as well as drinks...the food was absolutely delicious......all came together, piping hot and tasted devine....Best food we've eaten in Praa Sands or surrounding area since we have been coming here over last 12 years.....and reasonably priced.........we will be coming back.....again and again.....SUPERB.

Enjoyed some beers here on holiday in Praa Sands. Lovely to sit out in good weather, cosy inside during a storm. Thank you for making us welcome!

What a place, amazing place to spend a warm evening watching my kids enjoying the beach. Sensibly priced good drinks. Small deposit on take away drinks refundable on return of plastic glass is a brilliant idea. Can’t wait to return

We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a portion of chicken shawarma loaded fries. Both were inedible, over greasy, tasteless (unless you like the taste of old cooking oil,) and probably the least visually appealing food I have ever been served. It took us one mouthful each to decide leaving was the best option. I returned the uneaten food to the counter saying we couldn't eat the food...I wasn't expecting a refund but hoped for more than the given response of 'oh.' Save your money and eat elsewhere

Lovely relaxing place to enjoy a cold beer, we looked at the menu for evening meal but noticed that they stopped serving food at 6pm which was a little too early for us to eat although the menu did seem to be interesting

We had a lovely lunch yesterday. The staff were very friendly. The food was excellent. Everything is spotlessly clean. We had a fabulous view overlooking the beach too. It's a pity we discovered it on our last day, but we'll go back one day😃

First time at this venue and certainly wont be my last, Great location with very friendly service. Don't presume that the two levels are the same business because they are not. This is the lower level although I must say the upstairs has its appeal also. Comfortable stools facing onto the beach and glorious sunshine certainly helped, Had the Chicken skewers freshly chargrilled, and the belly pork, and the bread,olives, balsamic and oil for £20 for 2 sharing for a great afternoon bite to eat. Freshly prepared daily and it tasted like it. We are local so it wont't be long before our return. Ample parking;-£1 one hour £2 3 hours and a great beach.

Emily and her team provide awesome cocktails and food, great 90s dance tunes my vibe love it. My fav beach bar in cornwall. I hope they have some DJs in over bank holiday weekend august I hear a mini fest on IM in :))

stopped here for a coffee and to watch the world go by for 30 minutes. A £pound to park in the car park for an hour. Lovely cafe, friendly staff and a great cup of coffee.

We visited here after a long walk on the coastal path. Staff were all pleasant. We stopped and had some hot drinks which were nice. Sat there then enjoying the sun, the views and watching all the surfers that had arrived.

What a fantastic place, very reasonably priced drinks and bar snaks promptly served, great taste the coffee is excellent. The bar has a very relaxed vibe, with spectacular views across the beach and the bay beyond.

Loved this new bar in Praa Sands we popped in for a drink most evenings on our evening beach walks for a drink and game of uno. They have transformed the old surf shop and it looks fantastic. Staff were all lovely, friendly and attentive....

Great food, lovely staff, perfect location. Most of the menu is gluten free and they catered for my little boy with coeliac disease so well. Whole family loved it all. Highly recommend. Photos are of kids’ meals.

Had a lovely visit to this beach bar. You can park your car very nearby, which is nice. The service was great. It was busy (every seat was taken), but the food came pretty quickly. It wasn't pricy at all and the food tasted amazing....

Nice view but could be better if they opened later and served food later too. Closed at 9 and the staff were turning customers away . Also felt uncomfortable as staff were cleaning up around you from 8.30 felt slightly unwelcome. First visit for me...
