Over expensive and food extremely mediocre veggie Burgers were 10 pounds no sides no salads . Chip sides £4 extra burgers dry and bad . Staff can’t be faulted just chef

We came on Saturday for meet the chef evening which was absolutely superb in terms of quality and value for money. In fact it was so good we came back on Sunday for their roasts and they were equally good. Great service and couldn’t fault anything about either visit. We will be back!

Great farm shop with a considerable amount of local produce with a free drink in the cafe if spending more than £20. We just had drinks which were top notch although the food options looked good. Several small artisan style businesses on site, along with a brewery that’s on the list for later

We visited for lunch and to shop in farm shop. Shared a crab sandwich which was lovely. Whilst eating I remembered that I had read that we could have 10% off our bill if we showed our keyfob for the holiday let we were staying in, we were told we were mistaken, on getting back to our apartment we were right, the staff need to be informed.

Have visited this establishment on several occasions and the entire experience has been excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. On my recent visit the seafood menu was available and both dishes we had were superb. Great venue would highly recommend and the beer that is brewed on site is a bonus.

The initial greeting was welcoming and friendly and we were promptly seated where it was best for us. The food portions are large and tastes good including rarebit with wild blonde beer. Chips were beautifully presented and made with the skins. The site is much more than just food. It has local craftmakers demonstrating their skills and selling products. There is a farm shop including butchers. Everything looks great even though the food is a little pricey. This location is the home of the South Hams brewery and taphouse, so with your meal is a selection of beers and cider made on site, making the experience all the better.

Very average food. Staff were lovey but food was mediocre at best. The scone seemed to have been put in the microwave and tasted kf hot cotton wool. And it’s not cheap!

Two 'professional' chefs refused to trim the fat of a few rashers of bacon for two kids' (egg + bacon baps). Reason. 1/ 'They dont have the time' (restaurant was not busy) 2/ manager says, they dont do these requests and i have to do it myself. Sure.. I can do this at my campsite. Only.. i'm paying £60 for a breakast for 4. 2 adults 2 kids, i expect customer service. They said i was rude for requesting this from their chefs and i should leave. So we did.

Such a nice casual place with a lovely few independent shops and a micro brewery too - good always good - dog friendly - we went for brunch but missed it so waited for lunch

Nothing like it used to be! Stood ages at the sign that said wait here to be seated, no one came so I sat myself and then had to ask for a menu - that took ages as well. Menu doesn’t match the website and much less options than are on the website - then when I ordered I was told they didn’t have it, why wasn’t I told that when the menu was given to me? Staff didn’t care, stood around chatting and no customer service. Wasn’t even busy. A glass of water took 10 minutes to arrive. So disappointing as this used to be a lovely place with lovely staff!

Was told it was the usual menu but no roast for the summer which did not worry. Booked for 6 adults and 3 children when we arrived gave us the menu and told it was fish Sunday or pizza and steak sandwich. As we travelled from Plymouth it was to late to leave as nobody likes fish so ended with 2 adults stomaching the fish and steak sandwich for the others. Complete waste of money this place used to be so good definitely will not be returning.

My partner and I stopped here for lunch on Sunday and were made aware by the lovely staff that the options were pizzas, seafood or a couple of ‘non-fishy’ options. I’ve never been a big fan of seafood but thought I’d give it a go…WOW! I am converted! Had a beautiful piece of John Dory and it was TO DIE FOR! All the staff were so welcoming and attentive and will definitely be coming back again…hopefully for more seafood!

Seafood Sunday! What a treat! My partner and I had the whole crab, beautiful and fresh and we were pleasantly pleased to see it picked and presented in the shell. Fresh salad with plenty of fries with a good garlic dip Highly recommend this cafe, the breakfast is great too! Value for money all round Front of house were great, polite and very attentive, it was very busy and were made aware there would be a 20 to 30 minute wait by the kind waiter But with having the taster paddle from their own brewery we were more than happy All in all we can’t fault the place and will definitely be back

Place has gone downhill along with quality and presentation of meals had burger meal with fries the salad with the burger was limp and old the service was slow and the waitress was surly… and rude we used to love coming here… but since the original staff have left the place is lacking in atmosphere and friendliness Such a shame

Came in on 16th of may 2023 and it started off okay, waited for a table at the desk and was seated very quickly! Ordered a chicken burger and fries, the lady who took my order who i recognise from the bear and blacksmith called Louisa was so rude, and seemed to be mistreating her colleagues, i was very disappointed by the new menu not containing the regular things such as the classic sandwiches! The blonde young girl, wearing a white skirt was a great waitress and looked after us all afternoon! It’s a shame that the place has been taken over by people who can’t even be welcoming to customers! Most likely won’t be returning. Used to love coming here, but it has definitely gone down hill since the bear and blacksmith has closed! Shame!

This is not my first review of this establishment but it is very likely to be my last! I have always viewed Stokeley Farm Shop and Tap House as a fun place to eat and drink but today, the day after the coronation, was no fun at all. They had advertised a special event for coronation weekend but apart from a little bunting, there seemed no reference to it. Nobody but us, including the staff, had dressed up and the food (apart from the ribs) was disappointing. The service was quite simply POOR. My husband got our drinks from the bar himself and then it took them nearly an hour to serve my husband a rack of ribs and fries and me half a lobster. The former was delicious the latter was too, but awfully small and served with a very lacklustre salad. If it was dressed I am not sure what with. It was tasteless. The accompanying fries did nothing for me. I expected better than frozen fries from a chef who is known to us locals as more than capable. We complained about the service and we were offered a free drink but declined. It wasn’t overly busy but those who were dining left before we did because of our wait. I have said before that this place needs effective management - it still does. Yes, it will be busy with tourists in the coming months, but it’s us locals that keep these places going when all the tourists have gone!

Poor service, ordered a coffee and half a cider, no sugar with coffee nearly finished the coffee no cider in site, had to ask for it again. Staff Walking around smiling but not busy. Ordered the ram roast which you would think should be quick and hot, wrong, slow and nearly cold and then had to remind staff it comes with mint sauce. So all in all nothing positive whatsoever in our visit and won't bother going back again.

Drove past and pulled in. A great find. Highly recommend burgers, ale and cider. Service excellent and place is amazing. Very chilled and well worth a visit. Only in Dartmouth for a week and definitely coming back to try the breakfast menu.

Lovely lunch, super food, excellent service but PLEASE do something about it being freezing cold-I know you have had to remove tables to be covid safe but this has made the place bleak, cold and sparse! There is room for a focal fire against the wall-or a rug on the floor? Waitresses going outside to take orders meant the door was frequently opened-letting more cold in-perhaps a screen would help? We had to sit with coats on-a shame.

Staff was pleasant, but no apology when we explained we had waited a long time for the bill. She didn't know what we had ordered or could find the bill, so we had to explain what we had ordered to pay. We could have just walked out of this place after eating without paying and they wouldn't have known, but we didn't. We just kept waiting and waiting and waiting.

Saw this from the road and decided to give it a try. They were full but made every effort to accommodate us. When the food turned up it was wonderful fresh and beautifully prepared. There were foodies in my party and even they were suitably impressed. The staff were very friendly and lovely to deal with, even though they were super-busy.No wonder they have so many good reviews.

Stopped here for lunch today. Relaxed place, attentive service, and excellent food made this a very pleasant experience. I had a seafood salad. My wife had some soup. Both were very good and the prices were perfectly reasonable. Coffees and soft drinks to go with these were just fine. My wife enjoyed browsing the farm shop afterwards. Part of the site is a local brewery, which adds to the interest. The clientele looked to have a good few regulars, as well as the tourists like us, business people and groups of friends.

Never fails to deliver, a holiday must-visit. Absolutely love Stokeley’s cafe - highly recommend for breakfast/brunch/lunch. We always return when we holiday in the area.

A short walk from the motorhome and caravan campsite to enjoy a morning coffee and selection of delicious freshly prepared food, sit inside or out where there are plenty of socially distanced tables. Fabulous Adjoining farm shop well stocked with Local fresh veg, produce and freshly baked bread including a huge selection of store cupboard items. Also have a micro brewery, garden plants and craft shops. Staff are welcoming and friendly. It can get quite busy so please be patient in waiting for your order to be processed, it’s well worth the wait. THANKYOU we will look forward to our return trip next year. My only concerns were the members of public totally ignoring the signs to sanitise hands before entering and adherence to the rules for entering and exiting areas!! Please help this wonderful establishment to help keep us all safe, we all have a part to play.

Visited at lunchtime, was shown to our table and told we would be brought a menu after 10 minutes asked for menu. Waited 30 minutes no one came to take our order. So left we were not the only ones waiting, there were still plenty of empty tables and there seemed enough staff about but so disorganised. Saw waitresses trying to deliver food and drinks to tables that had not ordered them. Need some better organisation. Can not comment on quality of food only the fact that the service is terrible

Great evening sharing fabulous hand made pizzas with our extended family. Tried all the pizzas on offer and they were delicious. Atmosphere was great and enjoyed the well stocked bar.

This was our second visit to Stokeley Farm Shop and Cafe. It was very busy and we were told in advance that there would be an hour wait for food, which we didn’t mind. The outside seating area is well spaced as per COVID recommendations and our 3 dogs were welcomed. There seemed to be minimal waiting staff who worked very hard to see to everybody. The meals were very slow to be served with some of our order not being served at all, which was taken off the bill with no fuss!I would like to request that the toilets are given a good scrub, especially during this period when everybody is doing their best to prevent the spread of COVID. They were extremely smelly and dirty which is off putting when your visiting an eatery. On the whole, I feel that a few more staff would take Stokeley Farm Shop and Cafe to another level!

We visited the cafe for lunch, it was a hot day and there was plenty of water for us and our dog. Lunch was delicious, a huge plate of tasty scampi and chicken burger was also very nice. The waiting staff were really friendly and welcomed our puppy too. Nothing was too much trouble and all felt very clean and covid safe so much so we booked pizza night the next day!Great value and tasty pizza. There were a backlog of orders, but the staff kept us informed and did everything to make our evening enjoyable. Our son has allergies and they made me feel confident that they understood and would avoid contamination. Overall excellent food and really impressive staff.

We visited Stokeley on a very busy Friday. There was a queue for the excellent farm shop but we were served quickly in the cafe by the very hardworking staff. The food was well presented and the cafe felt Covid19 safe. Good stuff.

I'm gutted I have so enjoyed the Stokeley Cafe on many occasions. Coffee came nice and quick then a wait of over half a hour before I had to remind the waiter of our order, very slow. Very poor Covid virus awareness apart from face visors tables where not sanitised between customers at all. Waiters cleared tables picking glasses up that customers lips had been on by the rim then handling the chairs and rearranging the tables. Posable Covid Virus from the rim of glasses, plates and cutlery now all over tables and chair. Shocking how poor the understanding is.Recommend bringing your own sanitiser with you and wiping down chairs and table before eating yourself.A real let down and risk.

My first meal out since lockdown - absolutely delicious pizzas, super wine & beer from on site brewery. Excellent service. Felt very safe, young server had visor on, track & taste details taken. Foot pedal operated hand gel at entrance. Highly recommend!

We arrived at lunchtime just looking to get sandwiches and a drink. My husband’s sandwich came out first it was a huge baguette looked lovely thought to myself my GF version won’t look as good as that how wrong was I when mine came they had done mine a double decker sandwich, It’s was one of the tastiest sandwiches that I have ever eaten it was packed full of salmon absolutely delicious . We will definitely be going back here again for lunch, There is a good variety of GF / DF products to purchase and take home from the farm shop well worth a visit .

This cafe has a menu full of local produce, meats,vegetables and breads which are of a high quality aat a very reasonable price. You can shop in the grocer, greengrocer, butcheer section and then relax over a coffee or tea, fabulous range of breakfasts, pizza or a full meal. Customer service is first class.
