Starling independent beer & coffee house in Harrogate

A repeat visit for us, whenever we visit Harrogate we go to Starlings. Lovely food, good atmosphere and a good selection of food choices. The sharing platter was huge!

Sat in the sunny courtyard. Dog friendly. Great staff. Delicious pizza, rocky road & biscoff rocky road. Garlic bread disappointingly solid.

Called in for cold drinks as we were passing on a warm August afternoon. Got a friendly welcome from staff. The bar has a cool vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Drinks were good value. Enjoyed it so much that we returned later that evening for more drinks. Will definitely pop in again next time we are in Harrogate.

We were in Harrogate for an afternoon trip out and wanted a coffee. We needed a dog friendly cafe and found Starling Indepedent Bar Cafe Kitchen. We entered into a very friendly welcoming spaciuos environment. The menu was really tempting and decided to stay for lunch. Being coeliac, amazingly there was plenty of choice on the menu I could eat. The food was fantastic. Ester and Danni were amazing, being attentive with us and our Labrador. I would highly recommend the Starling Independent Bar Cafe Kitchen.

Top place for a summer afternoon. We stopped by for ice cream (gelato) and tea. Both were promptly and tasty. Amaretto ice is worth trying and the English breakfast tea was real tea leaves. Lovely staff and comfy seating. Highly recommend

Very good Pizza with a recommended lager. The service from the young staff was just right, polite and attentive but not intrusive and no rushing us to pay and vacate the table, despite it being a very busy Saturday lunchtime. There is a lot of competition in Harrogate. Starling have got their pricing and service just right Well done.

I hosted a baby shower at Starlings, in the Barn, for my sister-in-law. The room itself was already decorated with fairy lights, giving it a warm feel. We had a pizza buffet, and a good variety of pizzas was provided. The food was delicious. Everyone in the party thoroughly enjoyed their food. The service was attentive during the event. I would highly recommend booking Starling's for your next private event.

We really enjoyed our breakfast here but it’s not cheap. I had the full English breakfast my wife enjoyed poached eggs on toast. Our food was well cooked good quality and hot. All staff were friendly and professional. I would eat here again.

A lovely atmosphere, friendly service and great food and drink. Good selection of cask and keg beers; some expensive but that reflects their strength or rarity. The pizzas and salads were fantastic. A sensible move to have a small but very well executed menu.

Can easily see why this bar cafe is so highly rated. It's like a well-oiled machine but very friendly as well as efficient. Food is really good and served fresh and hot - ate here twice and equally good on both occasions. Dog friendly. Local daleside beer was lovely, recommended by them too.

A dull damp Sunday afternoon- just called in for a quick drink because it looked so welcoming and warm and saw the pizza’s. Had the veggie olive one to share and it was delicious and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good service. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

Had passed before while visiting Harrogate and decided to give it a go. It was a Friday lunch time about 2ish and wasn't even half full. Waited 10 minutes before being asked what drinks we wanted, waited probably another 10 before receiving them and ordering food. Eventually got our food at about 3pm, way too long to wait. When it came time to pay, asked a guy behind the bar who told me to speak to his colleagues along the bar, who were busier than he was, was ignored,then the first guy i asked ended up taking payment. At least the food was good. Won't be returning unfortunately
