Not my best Starbucks experience. A quiet coffee spoiled by the manager talking loudly about her dislike of other staff members. Apparently Jamie is horrible and toxic and she hates him, and she isn’t going to let Rosie take over the store because it’s her store. Good for her that she wants to work elsewhere in the hotel, but her practically shouting her affairs across the store makes it highly off putting for all customers. Walk around the corner to the other Starbucks instead.

Disinterested staff, scruffy shop, tables not cleared, coffee was ok but the rest is too much to put up with

Horrible, Horrible staff in this starbucks, very unfriendly and not helpful. The girl with the name badge “jamie” was the least helpful of them all and made me feel uncomfortable while being in store. Would not recommend to anyone being in the malmaison hotel at all. Stay away unless you want to be verbally abused.

Up bright and early my twin brother were wandering around this part of York when we decided to drop into this Starbucks outlet, one we've been to before on previous visits to York. A modern interior ,lovely decor and furnishings ,a glass fronted serving bar showcases the goodies on offer and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe both inside and outside looking out onto the busy Rougier Street. We ordered a flat white coffee each, served steaming hot,we grabbed a table were we planned out the day ahead while sipping our coffee's. A big fan of the coffee served in Starbucks ,it's consistent in all their outlets and their flat white coffee is a particular favourite of mine. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great visit. This Starbucks is easy to locate along Rougier Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday,6.30am till 7pm. Sunday,8am till 7pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Absolutely disgusting. Hair in food. Actually thick long black hair in the middle of my wrap. When politely showing staff and asking why no staff have hair nets on I was told they don’t need them unless preparing food. I pointed out a man with long hair doing chips who’s hair was dangling and a girl with long dark hair making burger who’s hair was loose. Along with all other staff. I was told they’ve just started and will get them to put a net on. Staff became rude and stood staring at us. Avoid at all cost.

Terrible service no staff but food it usually good. Not this time burgers were dry bread roll burnt chips over salty. Three burgers and chips and a drink each cost £49 so also overpriced. It is usually our treat when we go the the york outlet. Will not be going back will go to McDonald's for a nicer and cheaper burger.

Found this place while looking for something to eat. We were given a choice of inside or outside eating. We chose outside as it was so warm. Staff very attentive to us. I opted for a cocktail & it was with me within minutes. We ordered starters and mains. The starters were hugeeeee we couldn't finish them as needed to leave room for dinner. Quality was good, service was quick and value for money was great. 100% recommend and would definitely return.
