McDonald's in York

Absolutely disgusting. Hair in food. Actually thick long black hair in the middle of my wrap. When politely showing staff and asking why no staff have hair nets on I was told they don’t need them unless preparing food. I pointed out a man with long hair doing chips who’s hair was dangling and a girl with long dark hair making burger who’s hair was loose. Along with all other staff. I was told they’ve just started and will get them to put a net on. Staff became rude and stood staring at us. Avoid at all cost.

Its a McDonalds - plastic grub, but I still I like it. Lots of beeps from annoying machines, warm (rather than hot) grub and staff are friendly.

Stayed for both breakfast and dinner ( killing time before hospital appointment) and food was hot and fresh. Chips weren't very salty and not the best by a long chalk. Everything else was good. Toilets ok except a bit muddy and it was quiet and manager could have cleaned up the clods going from the toilets to the entrance. But it was ok

Really poor experience. Completely uninterested staff, no sense of organisation. Went to ask about my drink order and 5 members of staff literally hid rather than speak to me. Had to find a manager who was sat on a break to help. Probably the worst McDonald's in York.

Missed half the order value of chicken selects but some how managed to remember the dips for it, didn’t realise till I got home, shocking service as always, don’t understand why you can’t read a label and put the food in the bag not hard is it? Embarrassing

Cold coffee and food was bland, very little sauce on the fillet of fish. Waste of money

On pulling up I was able to select drive thru on the app to collect my order, when we got to the window we were told that we couldn't use the drive thru I'd have to go in. This is the second time this has happened now, it's annoying but worse is that the app is so terrible that my order couldn't be cancelled and I had to order again. It used to be worth while for decent food at a good price but prices are outrageous for what's offered now and the service is terrible

Our food was very late!we rang to the Mac Donald's we ordered from said was out of there hands! When it finally came I asked why was so late when the shop said was picked up 45 mins ago! Delivery driver came and he kicked my door in cut all my arm

1st time here staff were rude and arguing with each other. Gave them the benefit of the doubt as everyone had bad days, visited again paid £1.80 extra for a specific drink on the meal, order number was duplicated on the screen so when my number was called and there was no drink I assumed it was the other order with the same number. Eventually number was said again so i went and told them that it's my number but I don't think it's mine as there's no drink. Girl said they had "run out" so I couldn't have a drink. After explaining to her several times that I have paid for a meal which includes a drink and paid a surcharge for a drink I was infact entitled to a drink. Eventually she went to get a more senior staff member. Basic training needed that if an item is out of stock to tell the customer before the rest of the order is ready rather than thinking its OK to take their money and not give any indication. Wonder how many people go though the drive through and find items missing???

Good time of day to go, quiet and peaceful. Car parking a little tight but loads of space across the way. Easy access and everything worked and full menu so milkshakes all round!

Consistently get our order wrong. By all means go but be prepared to go back again afterwards.

The service is too slow , been waiting for 35-40 mins for our food ( eating in) , no communication. Not going back as we both are very disappointed

Had a sausage and egg muffin. Egg was grey (from being sat around too long) and muffin fell apart as it was so dry. Then thing that concerned me most was that the ketchup dispenser had about 10 flies on it , some on the bit where the ketchup comes out. I informed one of the staff who was not bothered at all and did nothing about it

Our order never arrived, and there was no way to contact the driver to check what happened. Not impressed really.

Really disappointing order today. The Chicken Seects were fine, but the fries were hard and overcooked and the Cheeseburgers tasted like a pot of salt had been tipped onto them, making them inedible. Had to throw most of the order in the bin

Orders missing from food food cold and delivery driver rude

food was dripping in grease which had seeped through the box and had turned the bread very soggy

A few items didn’t show up like half of a meal!!! Received a refund for the missing items only.

the chips with all 3 order were cold and rubbery. mozzarella dippers were cold rubbery and no dip no straws with drinks. 1 burger came cold.

The difference between being Hot or Cold Sandwich/hash browns luke warm.

As usual they forgot something, this time it was the golden syrup for my porridge. The rest of the food was nice though. Must do better

Arrived 10.10 and ordered 2 meals whick took 20 minutes to arrive. The egg was cold and the hash browns barely warm. No serviettes provided or in the dumb waiter. Which incidentally was filthy with spilt ketchup. Miserable looking staff and I didn't see anyone wearing gloves when touching the food directly.

Typical Mcd's, relatively fast service. Bins are not empty, and a creepy guy on the fries was staring all the time with a creepy smile. Food was as expected

Do not order from here, especiallyfrom McDonalds app. Always missing items. Last 4 times has multiple items missing and rest is cold.

The delivery wanted my order number. He said it’s a new thing and I couldn’t find it, if I’d known I would have written the number down. He waited until he said he’d have the last 4 digits of my mobile. Meanwhile my meal was cold even the coffee was barely warm. You should put it on your app you need the order number. £12.05 for a pile of rubbish. Bacon cold and fatty. Hash brown cold too. I won’t be rushing to have breakfast with you again. I could have had a hot breakfast at Brunches

i never recieved the order. i watched the driver on the map and then as they got close to my house it said it got delivered but it never came

Forgot my chips sent wrong drink

Order was wrong when we got the food back home. Missing one large portion of fries and the 5 piece chicken strips only had 4 in the box. No point going all the way back to say anything. Was not very clean inside.

Unfortunately visited the drive through, (knew I should have gone to Burger King) drink was warmer than the food. Asked for ice, “no, machine isn't working” was the reply. Called up and Manager said there is ice.!! Went back round drive through to change the drinks, by the time I had, the food may as well have come out of a fridge. Don’t bother going here you will be disappointed. Waste of money and time.

2 stars for purely getting the order right although it did take 15 minutes. Don’t know if I went in on a bad day as I’m out of area but this was the worst McDonald’s I have been to. The rubbish was spilling out of every bin, piled up on every table, and on the floor. When my number was called, there was no “sorry for the wait”… actually there was nothing. Just put the bag on the top and walked off. The food was lukewarm at best and the McFlurry had been sat there for 10 minutes so had almost completely melted by the time I received it. Honestly, wouldn’t bother trying. Just go around the corner to Burger King or KFC

Very disappointed with the people who packed the food, every time packed without the dip sauce, we ordered share box and chicken nuggets, and zero dipping sauce for us

Fries were undercooked and looked very anaemic. They got the order wrong, and my wife had a reaction to the food within 15 minutes. My stomach felt a bit queasy a short time after this

Store generally kept tidy and clean however food orders are wrong quite often, missing items etc. We also received pies way past their discard time so we’re very dry and burnt. I think it’s because the store is always busy standards seem to slip. Also very annoying the fryer alarms are always going off, very annoying to hear while eating, I don’t know why someone doesn’t mute them or deal with them to shut them up. *Updated the review to reflect better service the past few times we’ve visited. Orders have not been wrong and standards have seemed to improve. *

The worst table service I have ever experienced. Tray was slammed down and then slid across table. No pleasantries what so ever. Not what you expect from someone at manager level. You need to change your career because customer service definitely isn't your thing 😡

It's a shame, once again, items were missing

McDonald's nowadays are nothing special over priced low quality/poor presentation. The self service and apparently new streamline setup instead of making things quicker seems to take twice as long. Even though I always have a special burger and it's all wrote on a label for the box they still get it wrong 9 out of 10 times so always check your burger/order to make sure its correct. They are been paid a half decent wage for what they do so a little pride and respect towards their customers wouldn't go a miss, burger always looks like a dogs dinner. If I'd be able to say well it's a cheap meal what do you expect but when a meal today costs £10+ for a single large meal with a milkshake I expect to get a little quality and a hot burger. All in all there are better options out there and you can't use price/value for money as an excuse as they are no longer that. Just so McDonald's might read this when you take milk product specially we shouldn't be paying vat on it, You charge us more for the privilege.

Food is hot but the chips are only ever half full and I always have to check I have all my food when I go through the drive through as often something is missing.

Mc donalds Failed to back the Main part of my childs happy meal, very frustating! what do i feed my child now? what was a treat is now a pain for me and tears for my child.. i refunded the item, 2.99 which is lousy barley covers the cost of delivey

food wrapped poorly and smells bad

It’s a two minute drive from my house I spend £53 the food was cold and the icecream was completely melted 90 percent of the order went into the bin. I didn’t look to see what time it was met to be delivered just terrible

Very slow both inside and outside.

Shockingly bad breakfast muffins. Rock hard stale. Can only assume they were left out overnight and stuck under the grill to warm them up to try and pass them off as fresh. Avoid this place like the plague for breakfast at least 🤢🤮

Why would you wait nearly one hour for cold food ? You can track your order yes but when the driver is sent to two address before yours 🤯 and takes over 20 mons to drive less than 3 miles !!

Do Macdonslds ever deliver what you order?

Right me and my parnter went for meal. Ordered sweet chicken wrap meal and crispy chicken filet meal. Chicken fillet was dry as hell. Took it back to counter and been told they will do me a fresh one.why would you give a customer a dry hard chicken filet!!?? So while i was waiting for that. I seen there was vowcher on McDonald's app. Kids mean for 1.99 and also double chesse burger with fries for 2.49. Here is funny bit. Totall will be 4.49 but i got charged £6.49 and they also forgot my chips with double chesse burger. When i got home. Literally every time i go to McDonald's there is always something wrong. Always and as usual i been rubbed by £2 and twice mistake. And all i hear is sorry. 😡😡😡😡😡

why is there always something missing!! ordered 3 meal deals & a separate order & were missing 2 portions of chips!!!! can you introduce a part we can say foods missing and it gets delivered so we can eat properly rather than.waiting for money to be reimbursed!?!? :(

you should probably make it clearer if a soft drink like a coke is gonna be delivered in a cup instead of a can, why would I want a coke with breakfast? I was hoping for a can to keep for later…

Placed order at 2055 and given the drink within minutes and asked to pull forward whilst food was made. 20 minutes later and still no food so went in to find someone who had now finished work had marked my order as completed. Food eventually redone after another 10 minutes. Emailed them to complain and they don’t even have the decency to reply. If you have a choice use the Monks Cross branch far superior and care about their customers.

Sadly they got my order wrong, which therefore cost me more than it should. Why don't they double-check your order before giving you it? Lesson learned: don't drive home before checking it yourself. Update (from a few weeks ago): they got the order wrong again. Missed a burger. I mean, how difficult is it to put 3 whole meals in a bag? Update again: missed the fries from the bag this time. I'm beginning to think they have zero quality control and a serious lack of training.
