Starbucks in Charnwood

Stopped off for lunch after visiting ikea. Male member of staff emptied the rubbish bins then picked a plate up with our sandwich on it without even washing his hands in between. We said we had seen him handle the bins and he actually turned round and said 'it's OK because I only touched the plate,not the sandwich!!! Tables and floors are filthy, toilets also unclean...not starbucks usual standard.

Order was placed through app, which was accepted and money taken. Called less than half an hour later to find they close at 17:30 NOT 19:00 as per the app. No goods and trying to get money back is akin to pulling teeth. This franchise has told me not their problem and to get in touch with Starbucks UK who don't answer their phones or respond to e-mails and social media posts

I went to Birstall Starbucks the other day and I placed my order was a really nice gentleman. However when I went to go collect my drinks one was missing, therefore I headed over the women asking her politely that one of the drinks is meaning, her response back was disgusting saying ‘can you not see I’m making it’ with a tone of voice and giving me a dirty look at that point I headed back to my table and I went back up when it was ready and yet again she gave me a nasty look, I didn’t appreciate her tone or gesture at all therefore I won’t be returning there ever again. Sadly I didn’t catch her name, but the day I went was Wednesday 28th October got served around 3pm-4pm. There was only two staff on at the time a lovely gentlemen and her.

I visited today with my son and we had 2 cookie and cream frappuccino's (these were nice) but the table was dirty and crumbs on the seats and definitely were not cleaned inbetween customers. I would have thought the tables should have be cleaned in between customers.It wasn't an enjoyable experience and I also watched about 10 people touch the door handle & pull open door on way out. I won't be rushing back.

Staff warm and welcoming. Places was clean tidy and well presented. Helpful staff. Coffee made just how we like it.

Wow really dirty place. 10 tables full of dirty cups. 3 members of staff having right laugh and private conversation. Won’t be coming back.

Needed a quick snack on a journey north. Reasonable choice of sandwiches, etc. Service was good and the place seemed clean, perhaps we got it on a good day compared to some other reviewers.

Thought we would call here after a tour of Ikea. Big mistake. The place is dingy and the car park was covered in rubbish. This is a Starbucks theme here. Went in and about a quarter full. 3 staff members were dancing around to the loud musak so we were ignored. Eventually one came to serve us and we asked for a latte, a tea and 2 chocolate caramel squares. Not a difficult order I thought. So my wife pays and we wait. And wait. No one else to be served but dancing and pratting around is what the staff are paid for here. Someone keeps shouting out, "Latte latte" and I move along to collect it in a takeaway cup as it seems within an hour of closing they don't do real cups. Of course not, silly me, that would mean the staff having to wash up. So I have the latte and nothing else. My wife is still at the till waiting for the squares and her change. But dancing around is the order of the day here, customers are a pain. My wife asks again for the tea which the unfriendly staff member (wearing glasses) walks off to get and plonks it down at the end of the counter. Naturally it is so full I cannot add milk so throw half in the waste bin. Meanwhile, back at the till, my wife is asking again for the squares which are served in the same fashion. Would have been better if she had just thrown them at us. No till receipt given and NO CHANGE either. I was ready to kick off but my wife just wanted out. So we survey this delightful establishment to select a table. But it seems that the tables are used for storing dirty crockery, debris, cutlery and filth. Bit like the floor really - careful where you walk. So we sat at a bar table, consumed the stuff they call food and drink and left as fast as we could. I cannot stress enough just how bad this place was despite 3 staff, no customers to serve and filth. No supervision or management which is not surprising as the franchisee will be far too busy sitting at home counting his profit. Going outside, the queue at Krispy Kreme next door told us we had visited the wrong establishment. It was heaving and the drive through was packed. Says it all.

This is the nearest Starbucks to my work, where I purchase 3/4 coffee most days . The staff has been pleasant enough not the most helpful should I say ! They have missed registering my point stars which was disappointing. What really disappointment me most was that we had to wait the place to open until 8.30am (Sunday the 10th of September ) The staff Chloe blatantly ignored us waiting at the door . When finally they decided to open the place I asked Chloe what time they had opened on Sundays , she told me that she had no idea ?! She was also very rude when she served me ! I was told by the manager that they open @ 8.30 on Sundays and the time on website was wrong needed updating ?! This sounds a little strange when a Sunday regular tells you that she always goes there @8.00 am on Sundays ? Please somebody tell me who is right ?

I have visited here a few times as I love locally but it's always dark and uninviting. I will not be returning! I had a credit for two free drinks and the young boy serving looked incredulous and said two? Really?! So I showed him and he grudgingly took my order. I asked for the free nespresso samples offered and he virtually threw them at me! My coffee was lukewarm and the place was filthy with dirty cups everywhere....we stayed over half an hour and they didn't so much as wipe a table in all that time. Can't believe they're still open, especially with Costa and Krispy Kreme only yards away. Starbucks obviously don't care about their customers.

Visited on 12 November 2016 whilst waiting for IKEA to open. The place is cold and dark and not at all inviting, pleasant or comfortable. The latte was the worst I can imagine, I can do better myself at home. On closer inspection it appeared it had been made with as little milk as possible, so really it was like a large mug of espresso with a little froth on top. If they were still waiting for the milkman to deliver they should have said so!

Shame, the coffee is fab but the place is cold and uncomfortable not enough seating . More of a business setting!!

A dark and dismal place, wooden chairs have chipped paint, upholstered chairs full of stains. Drinks, food etc are the usual standard and all the staff, without exception, are extremely polite and efficient. How they work in such shabby, dingy surroundings is beyond me. Come on Starbucks, get this place smartened up, it is always busy as it is near a motorway junction, cinema complex and retail park so surely your customers and staff deserve better than this tired coffee shop.

I tend to go to this Starbucks most often and I've never had bad service. Staff are always friendly and very helpful. The place is always clean too.

I often pop in to Starbucks, sometimes alone sometimes with friends. The car park is fairly small but there is ample space if you drive down the side past Krispy Kreme. I prefer Starbucks to Costa and it is a shame it isn't located at the other side of the main road near the main shopping park. There are two Costas there and I remember when Starbucks was upstairs in what was Borders bookshop, I think it has been a mistake to move to the present building. The tables are really small, the upholstered chairs are somewhat grubby and the whole place is a bit on the dingy side with a lot of dark brown decor. But all this aside, the products are good and the staff are all extremely friendly. They work hard and even at busy times they still have time to give pleasant service. 10 out of 10 for the staff and food/drinks but only 5/10 for the decor.

I called today on my way home from a day out. I got one of the almond and honey hot chocolates and my husband got the toffee nut latte. We loved them! Staff nice and friendly 😊 thank you

Bien es Starbucks, no te puedes equivocar generalmente mucho igual en todas partes. No hacer algunas sin gluten envolturas para aquellos con una alergia.

Well on a work day... I'm here every day staff are great it does get really busy at lunch times but at 7 am it's a quiet retreat before the start of a working day.

Went in a while back and got served by two extremely rude staff members. One with orange hair and another middle aged lady with short bob (I can't remember the exact names), The place was quiet but as soon as I went in they were just stood their talking (there were also dirty table not that they cared). When I asked if I could make my order they gave me the dirtiest looks imaginable! Never going in again. I am so disappointed. The staff at my local starbucks in Leeds are much more friendlier!!!!

Not a great Starbucks.. Staff seem disorganised and take an age to serve drinks.. Plates and coffee cups from previous customers always seem to be left on tables long after the customer has left so your having to move about things yourself so you can have a clear table.

Que dire ? C'est un endroit immanquable. Le café y est tellement bon, le personnel est très agréable et le cadre est géniale. Rien de tel que de prendre son mug a café entre ses mains et se réchauffer par le temps humide
