Went in about 10 to 6 to use the toilet before a bus, me and another friend used the toilet to come out and see my cousin in a state of shock, a lady with black and red hair had came up to her saying “what the f**k i’ve just cleaned the floors” i think this is disgusting service. the sign on the door said they closed at 8 even if they were closing at 6 that is no way to go around things. only reason it’s getting two stars is the man who was nice enough to serve me. won’t be returning

It's a fairly small restaurant, but coffee excellent as usual and super friendly/happy staff when we visited. Made my wife's day.

Starbucks in the heart of New Castle with nice staff and a very lively atmosphere but the air conditioning, it's a little cold in these winter days maybe it will be better if you raise the temperature a little ☕️ ☕️ ☕️

Their was a bloke going around in the shop drinking the leftover coffee on the empty tables

Rude unfriendly staff myself and a friend bought toasties and coffees sat down got comfortable this was 5pm then a member said we need to move because this area is being closed why didn't they tell us before we sat down and started eating then the guy bringing in the chairs from outside made so much noise it was unbearable we will never return to that coffee shop ever again

Quick stop for a coffee, the coffee lived up to the Starbucks name however I can’t say that about the staff. Poor customer service. Will not be returning for that reason.

Don't know but 18 pounds for a bottle of orange juice, a muffin, a panini and a cup of hot chocolate and there was no gold film on the food items. 😀

Great setting in Newcastle Old Eldon gardens, staff are a little slow at cleaning tables, coffee and cakes are really good though.

Liked it. I had 2 chocolate chip cookies and a slice of caramel shortbread. With a cup of tea. Very, very nice. I am also rather partial to their shortbread biscuits.

Lovely drink but the staff here aren’t very friendly. They are more like robots with no emotion.

The staff (one guy in particular) need to learn how to handle cups correctly.... I.e by the handle and not by the top of the cup. This is unhygienic and unprofessional.

I ordered a coffee on Uber, a large and I received a cup full of ice and hardly any coffee this morning. Absolutely disgusting service. People are paying £8 to have a coffee delivered, the right amount of ice should be used for the drink as I’ve been totally ripped off!

The staff here are always lovely. The blonde latte is my favourite, iced or hot. Delicious cakes. Good seating area outside. Watch the world go by!

It's located where a church group I did historical research on finished their meeting together on 03 June 1951. Today it is a nice coffee shop, and a handy toilet stop, so you don't have to walk quite a distance to get to the Eldon Square toilets. The staff are quite friendly, especially Kourtney

Staff were extremely rude- it was quite busy so when I went to say thank you I wasn’t quite heard due to how loud the place was, but instead of brushing it off the barista did a very sarcastic “you’re welcome” at me (a small teenage girl) while the other one laughed. I know this seems quite dramatic but it was seriously uncalled for, and just made the whole situation extremely awkward.

Knew new Barista from another coffee chain. Coffee's a lot better nowadays.

Every single time I’ve been in this Starbucks recently I’ve been given the wrong drink for example when I visited on Tuesday I ordered the new blue raspberry cloud frappe and I asked if I could get it with oat milk as I have an intolerance to milk and it gives me a really upset stomach and I watched as the staff made it with dairy milk instead of oat milk so I explained kindly that I had asked for oat milk. The staff member who made the drink apologised to me and made me another one with oat milk albeit reluctantly and when she told the staff member who served me (the ginger one who is always so rude) that I’d asked for oat milk the other staff member rolled her eyes and I heard her say “no she didn’t”

Although my meal was nice it's fairly expensive for what it is. Free WiFi but very overcrowded, tables are too close together.

Small starbucks. The location isn't the best as it's quite over crowded, when waiting for your drinks, it gets a little awkward hovering over othe peoples tables.

Very busy branch of the coffee chain in Newcastle City centre with inside and outside seating There was a queue when I visited and staff were quick and efficient Like most places prices have risen markedly post pandemic The coffee was excellent and it was pleasant sitting outdoors at Eldon Square The only problem was the droning voice of some gospel singer who was so dismal it was funny

Tables filthy as per with Starbucks. Only came here as my friend likes it, goodness knows why!

Just got a coffee from there guy in green glasses great really nice but girl with ginger hair and younger boy leaning on counter even though they could see i was waiting not a care in the world, touched all the top of the cup where you drink out off luckily was a take out cup so a bit better, guy eventually served me with green glasses as the others too engrossed with conversation. Was an OK visit. We eventually got to sit outside in the sun but not before getting dictated to off the older woman that cleans the tables. I understand tables need to cleaned and sterilised but she could of been a bit nicer about it. She must of been having the day from hell judging by her attitude. Quite a few customers were commenting on it at the time. A smile and pleasant customer service skills go a long way.

Coffee was okay, it was new on the menu give it a try but found it too sweet, problem was staff weren’t friendly, no please or thank you, basically threw the drink at me zero communication when giving it, someone coughing not covering their mouth sitting in the shop yet The person in front of me wasn’t getting served until their mask was pulled up ok their face properly? Of course masks should be worn properly but there’s a glass screen in front of the till? Shouldn’t the priority being the customer physically coughing in the shop with other people sitting about? Didn’t feel very comfortable with this.

My visit just made me sad, the stuff ruined Starbucks for me. I am from a foreign country and I never experienced coffe like that in my country. That's why no more UK sturbacks for me.

there is a boy who works here and his badge said his name was emmanuel, he was the most polite boy i’ve ever been served by and would definitely love to come back here again :)

Wouldn't usually review a coffee shop but visited here over the past weekend and the staff were so rude... the lady at the till had such a terrible attitude and the way she spoke to my partner and I was just outright rude. I often visit starbucks as the coffee is great and was just at good on this visit however I will not be visiting this particular store again due to the awful staff.

As per Andrew Ashmore review. Ignorant, arrogant and rude people. Name tag "Robert" in particular. Extremely unhelpful rude individual, I asked him if I could use the toilet as it needed a code. Tried his best to ignore me and give me an answer that I couldn't understand. No please or thank you his body language and demeanour was very aggressive. He me the impression he thought he was the "big man" looking for a fight. I had a rye smile on my face at the actual joke pathetic reality of him. Hahahaha! I could see "Daryll" name tag blatantly mocking customers taking the micky out of customers. Steven who served me my drinks couldn't have been anymore patronising. Whatever the problem is maybe they can read this and learn something.

It’s Starbucks so it’s much the same as any Starbucks . Usually the staff are polite but today the cashier looked like she would prefer to be at home . Quite crowded and not much space inside but on a sunny day there is outdoor space where you can have a coffee and watch the world go by :)

Absolutely love this place! Stephen the manager is a total gem! All of the staff are lovely. Friendly and caring towards me and my two children! Coffee is always lovely, always a personal experience. Special mention to Robert who is relatively new at this branch. I've seen him on more than one occasion being great with other staff members as well as the customers

Google Maps has the address down wrong, so I ordered from the wrong store via the app. Staff fulfilled my order anyway which was good of them. This location is St George's Mall not St Andrew's. I've messaged Google about the issue so it should be fixed soon.

I have been going to a lot of Starbucks in the UK And most of them the staff are very friendly I am a BIG fan of Starbucks I have been going to Starbucks for 22 years everyday i look forward of having my drink every morning I am from the U.S and I am a regular in all of the Starbucks in my upper east-side area in NYC I have been going to Starbucks in intu Eldon Square St Andrews way for about one week the staff are really nice Sam I have known her for about 2 years she had worked in in a different Starbucks before working in this Starbucks I love her she’s always smiling saying hi she make you want to return Robert the same I known him for about 5 years in a different Starbucks now a staff in the same Starbucks as Sam he’s always welcoming me with a great big smile and always ask how are you and always say to me welcome back to the UK Yesterday I had one of the most amazing drink it was made the way I wanted it it was perfect My drink was made by Daryl not only he made me the best drink but he was so friendly he make sure and ask me if my drink was to my liking he was very friendly and had a great smile but yet professional Thank you Daryl for one of my best drink in the UK I love Starbucks I am a Starbucks lover To Starbucks thank you friendliness from your staff go’s a long way it make someone day it put a smile in a face and a smile go’s a long way it mean a lot to people As a customer being friendly is alway the number thing one on my list it make someone day it go’s both ways as a customer putting a smile in a staff face make them feel appreciate and as a staff putting a smile on a customer face make a sad customer happy I will be coming to you guys as long as I am here in this country No matter where I am Starbucks is my second home I treat Starbucks as my home it’s my happy place A very happy returning customer NY 🇺🇸😀👍
