Hidden gem, The cafe has a friendly atmosphere, the food is freshly prepared, good quality and presented nicely. It is an independent family run cafe. The cafe is a place to relax , suitable for all ages groups, the the personal interact with the owners soon has you feeling you are relaxing at home.

I visit the Star Cafe frequently with my sister. We are always made to feel welcome and greeted with a smile with the lovely couple who run this lovely little coffee shop. They really do make the best coffee in town and the home made food is equally delicious! I would definitely recommend!

We visited Exmouth while on holiday and stumbled across this little, unassuming coffee shop. It was very pretty, quaint inside, extremely clean and not particularly “showy”. We were welcomed so warmly by the owners. We then sat down to one of the nicest lunches I’ve had. We had paninis and sandwiches with coffee (extremely good coffee), very simple but absolutely delicious. Served with a nice fresh side salad and a complimentary portion of chips because of “our wait” - I didn’t feel we had a wait to be honest but was very happy to have the yummy chips. We weren’t rushed out while me and my daughter waited for my husband to pick up the car as it was raining. To top off our visit, we then got talking to the loveliest lady, a Scottish lady called Catherine who is a regular, she was so interesting and kind and even got a few words out of my very shy teenager. There’s not many community minded cafes like this anymore, where everyone is made to feel welcome. The couple who own it have made a little gem here, serving simple but gorgeous food in a homely but professional setting. I hope I get to visit again.

Been here several times. Owners are really friendly. Food delicious, tasty mushroom omelette served with chips, food was piping hot and plentiful. Someone had jacket potato with cheese and that too looked delicious. Will try that next time.

So who needs the bland coffee chains when you have this brilliant little gem of a place hidden up the road, great ambience inside, relaxed atmosphere and staff so lovely and friendly. Prices very decent and the spiced teacakes are divine, and to top it all choosing to go independent is putting back into the community instead of the pockets of the corporates so winwin all round, check it out! : )

Lovely cafe. Really good service and nice owners. Make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble. Would definitely recommend it as a lovely place to relax and unwind with good tea/coffee and food.

Lovely little cafe in exmouth. Welcoming staff and attentive to us. Reasonable prices and great selection of food choices. I very much enjoyed the bruschetta which was delicious! Lots of tables and chairs available. Imagine it would be popular in the summer!

Had a lovely hot chocolate and chicken Mayo panini this afternoon! Rang up for collection and was ready for when I asked! Also is good to know you can order at the door aswell! Highly recommend Star Coffee in Exmouth for takeaway food and drinks 10/10!:))

This is the most charming little coffee shop I've visited in years. Excellent customer service, nice range of toasties, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. Perfect for the businessman needing a quick lite lunch or for that person couple needing refueling after shopping in town. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 to Star coffee.

Working next door to star coffee is a treat, as the staff are so lovely and don't mind at all bringing our order to us! Such lovely food and people, I would 100% reccomend spending your lunch hour here!

What a delightful cafe! Having lived near Exmouth for so many years, I can't believe that I've never been here before today. The food and drink are delicious and the service was second to none. The prices were very reasonable and I will definitely be coming again.

This is a small family run cafe. They allow dogs-which is great.The door is quite narrow and there is a step so if you use a wheelchair it would be difficult for you to access it-the same for prams. The food is always really nice and you can eat in or take out. The lady who runs it is always friendly-and always remembers what we eat even when we haven't been in for ages! I would love it if they employed another member of staff so the food orders arrive quicker.We can only order food when we aren't in a rush because it can take ages.I have watched people who are obviously on their lunch break;wait to be served,but the owner is in the kitchen-so they eventually leave.Its a real shame as its a lovely little cafe and I feel like they are losing money and the poor lady is rushed off her feet!It could be easily rectified by employing someone to help cover the lunch rush.

You wouldn’t easily find this charming cafe. Tucked away in Albion Hill Exmouth. However, do make the effort you will not be disappointed. Lovely family friendly welcom, delicious coffee, lots to choose from if you are hungry. All home made I suspect. Tastefully decorated setting a homely welcoming atmosphere.

i cover my son-in-laws shop on a saturday i have my lunch from star cafe the husband and wife team are really lovely to always get service with a smile. they actually deliver my order to the shop. highly recommend them nothing is to much trouble.

Great place to have a peaceful meal or coffee away from the bustle of the town centre and it certainly merits greater recognition. Having stumbled across it by accident, it is now one of my favourite places to relax. I really have nothing new to add to the many positive reviews that the cafe has already received but I must say that I have been struck by the friendliness and excellent service provided by the husband and wife owners. At the risk of sounding patronising, they are clearly extremely hard working and have a pride in their establishment that is obvious to the customers. (As an aside, the bruschettas are great - Loadsa garlic!)

The nicest chicken salad which had obviously been prepared with a lot of care. Coffee perfect. Lovely owners!

Went for Brunch last Saturday , 1st visit and how lovely the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere was. The panini was excellent and great coffee. The owners are very nice people and friendly. Would recommend and going back thursday for lunch .

Probably a little pricier than others but nobody can match this quality. And it's dog friendly too. Highly recommended

Stopped by this place whilst wife was shopping in the material shop up the road, had soup and roll for £4.25, very nice, choice of 3 soups, soup served nice and hot and roll was warm. Then had a regular latte for £2.50, well made coffee served with a small vanilla biscuit. When my wife joined me she had a cup of tea with scone for £4.70, scone served with good size portion of cream and jam. Nice local coffee shop just off the main shopping streets, also serves lunches eg Omlettes, burgers, toasties, paninis, sandwiches etc. Will definitely come back.

Nice enough coffee shop serving good flavoured coffee and a welcoming approach from staff. Clean seating area.

We happened upon this place and had a good lunch. More imagination than normal has been shown on the panini fillings. We had chicken and cheese with various sauces e.g. BBQ but we had to wait more than 30 minutes for the paninis, despite the place not being very busy, which was the only down side. When they arrived, they were tasty. The coffee was good.

A lovely coffee shop in which to meet friends, with friendly staff. I'm not really a coffee drinker but enjoyed a pot of fruit tea (3 cups!) in a charming environment.

Me gusta tener mi bebida después he comido la comida. Hay una gran variedad de lugares para sentarse dentro de la cafetería, incluyendo una habitación separada que es donde me gusta sentarme. El proyecto de ley fueron más de 5 libras. Se lo recomiendo.

Este se ha convertido en uno de nuestros lugares de café, simplemente porque tiene un excelente café y un personal estupendo! La comida siempre parece (y huele) bueno, aunque rara vez comer más de un pastel (buena).

Simplemente sentado en esta peculiar tienda de café y ¡Qué hallazgo! Mejor bollo de crema jamás que tiene real y moka café, chocolate caliente y real!

Visited Star Coffee recently on our day's visit to Exmouth. Very friendly and warm atmosphere from the owners. It was a very dull day (weather wise), but felt really nice and cosy inside. coffee was nice. Food was lovely too. I would definitely recommend this place.

Found this lovely little cafe by accident. Having just cycled 12 miles mostly into strong wind the search was on for coffee to get me back home. Once I had got warmed up inside this cosy and welcoming cafe with a quality coffee thoughts turned to how hungry I was.Even though it was lunch time I choose Eggs Royale from the breakfast menu. A generous serving of salmon, perfectly poached eggs on toasted muffin with hollandaise! Delicious and great value.If you're in Exmouth search out Star Coffee. It would be rude not to!

We are always pleased to find good coffee,my partner thought his very good.As it was so cold I fancied hot chocolate,they do a 70 per cent dark cocoa which was gorgeous and not too sickly.My lemon drizzle cake was good as was the millionaires shortbread.The owner's were so friendly and welcoming.Really good value and quality.The whole light lunch menu also looked tempting.

It was the smell of the coffee that drew my 7yr old grandson and I into this lovely little coffee shop, and we weren't disappointed! I drink black coffee without sugar so there is no camouflaging a bad coffee! I am only sorry we found this idyl the day before we left Exmouth! I am sure we will visit again on our next trip.

Lovely little independent coffee shop with friendly staff. Well worth a visit. As usual better to go to places away from the seafront that have to work for your business.

This little gem is hidden up a side street but is well worth seeking out. The food is relatively simple but excellent value for money and absolutely delicious. The service is great and the coffee is perfect. It's highly recommended.

Found Star Coffee by accident ... and very glad we did!Lovely surroundings, pleasant staff and the best coffee we'd had all week long. Beautifully prepared and tasty lunch, panini and salad - a very generous portion!If you haven't discovered this place yet then it's well worth turning off the main Exeter Road into Albion Street - we weren't disappointed!

This is a great value for money little place where the service is great, the coffee is good and the meals are inexpensive. Visit there often and I rate this highly. It is always good.

My wife and I popped in here on sat afternoon the coffee was nice and hot and great tasting .By far the best COFFEE we had during our long weekend away.

If we are in town and fancy a drink and a snack we always come here. Very pleasant couple took over from previous owners. Very helpful and obliging lovey decor, never rowdy - a great meeting place to catch up with friends. The food is great too!

I'm fussy about my coffee, decided to try this for a change and it did not disappoint. The cappuccino was excellent, lovely atmosphere and décor and really helpful staff. Great relaxing place. Why would anyone visit a coffee chain when this little gem is just around the corner, best coffee/cake in Exmouth by far and cheaper than the leading chains too! do not be put off by side street location. Highly recommend.

This gem of a cafe run by a husband and wife team serves the best coffee in Exmouth by far. Forget the big chain coffee houses; this is the place to go. Tucked away near the bottom of Albion Street just beyond the town centre this is the place to go - not only is the coffee good, but light meals and snacks are served and they are good too. The owners are friendly and always welcome customers warmly. Service can be a little slow if the cafe is busy, but it's worth the wait. I cannot recommend Star Coffee highly enough. If you like real coffee, not the milky rubbish served in the big chains in the town centre, please go - you won't regret it.

This small independent coffee shop has clearly been set up with great attention to detail, as opposed to high street chains the service and environment are second to none. A select range of pastries and cakes are available. The hot drinks especially the Hot Chocolate are unbeatable and offer excellent value for money. Free Wi-Fi is the icing on the cake!! Lovely little coffee shop run by an extremely nice couple. The coffee is excellent as are the cakes and the service is always good. We make regular visits every week and have not had a single cup of coffee which was anything short of very good. As an additional bonus you can have soya milk. This is a cafe that deserves to succeed but is now in competition with Nero's and Costa. If you like good coffee, friendly and personable service and a lovely, homely atmosphere, then please go to Star Coffee, not the big two just down the road. The owners will do all they can to ensure the coffee (or tea!) you have is just right for you and it's a great place to relax. Oh, and there's free wi-fi as well!

My wife and I visited Exmouth today and found the most tranquil coffee shop on albion hill, lovely décor and friendly atmosphere. Piping hot coffee and a lovely selection of cakes etc. So if you are looking for an ideal place to have a coffee and a quiet half hr or so away from the hustle and bustle of every day life then I 100 % recommend Stars Café, Albion Hill Exmouth.

Called into Star Coffee for a coffee with a friend. Asked for some lemon for a tea which they didn't have and the owner said she'd add it to her shopping list and make sure she had some next time I was in. Thought that was a nice touch. Very friendly place. Had a lovely flapjack and the cake selection looked good.

Called into Star Coffee yesterday, before making our way back to the Midlands. A lovely little coffee shop, spotlessly clean with excellent cappuchino, why bother to go to the overcrowded, overpriced chain coffee shop round the corner when you can relax in a lovely cafe like this?!Will return each morning next time we're in Exmouth and also try the food as well.

The owners are really friendly, coffee is lovely, cake, especially the carrot cake is wonderful. oh and the have let me hang some of my photos in the shop.Thank you very much for that.

From the food to the atmosphere, everything was wonderful, the staff were very polite and pleasant. The food, I found out was actually cooked by an Indian chef, he has certainly done Italy proud

There's a new coffee house in Exmouth - and it's a little beaut! It's in Albion Street, just up a bit from the junction with The Parade and it's called Star Coffee.If you are a lover of real cappuccinos that taste exactly like the very best ones you'll find in Naples or Rome, you'll be delighted at what Star Coffee can produce - served right here in Exmouth in a cafe that's immaculately clean, where the ambience is restful rather than frenetic, and where the very pleasant couple who run it make you feel comfortable and welcome.This morning my wife and I ordered two croissants each with our coffees as a special treat, and we were not disappointed. They were large and gorgeous, and we had marmalade as an extra. All beautifully served. There is an excellent range of cakes as well, and if you want a light lunch, then soup is available too. Haven't tried the soup yet but if everything else in this delightful little cafe is anything to go by, I bet it's going to be good and excellent value for money.
