Stadium Leisure in Nottingham

Food is good and reasonably priced, however alcohol is a tad expensive. I was shocked to find you must join to enter certain parts including the back restaurant which includes providing a trove of private data and biometrics (finger print) which is a little invasive in my opinion.

Would be a 5* but new management want your picture address and fingerprint just to play pool or order food, what a crazy world we live in, how is that even remotely sane?

Had a lovely meal today,atmosphere was really nice as well.

This place is simply fantastic. The food is outstanding, portions are generous, service is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable.

It was delicious. We ordered the Ultimate Roast which includes beef and turkey plus vegetables and we were surprised by quantity and quality! Incredible their homemade onions rings!

Food is beautiful but the DRINKS!! whoa really expensive. The drink (larger and black) was as dear as the meal I had.

Every Tuesday I go for the 7.25 3 course lunch between 12 & 2 The food is amazing The portions are huge and the staff and service is outstanding 5 star Can’t thank them enough and I look forward to my Tuesday treat

Value for money ...my previous review I gave 5 stars, I’ve never had reason to complain but my last visit prompted me to change my review. 5th March 24 greeted by a young lady instructing us to sit where she wanted when the place was almost empty, took exception to us asking for a booth. Unfortunately we had to leave the cutlery was filthy and put us off. We have been members for many years and this will not encourage us to return. Shame.

Had one of the daily specials on the menu, which was very tasty but way too much on the plate for me. my friend took hers home in a 'doggy bag' (mainly the roast beef from her dinner). The pudding i chose was a traditional chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. and well worth the price.

Absolutely fantastic 10 out of 10 on service..quality of food atmosphere and price.we will be back every week.cant wait to start Fridays.

It was absolutely fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble. Burger pic in these photos are what we couldn't eat from our meal,so they put it in a takeaway for us.

Good food on a deal Worth a visit

Me and my partner came to stadium Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner. We were welcomed by two lovely young ladies. We had 1 drink each and the new steak fondue recommended by our waitress Demy. She said It was new on the menu so we didn’t know what to expect but it was so good! We passed on dessert because we were so full but I did have a coffee which was really nice. Would definitely recommend.

We have never had a bad meal here. We celebrate most of the families birthdays and even in bigger groups the food is fantastic. I cannot compliment this venue enough for their food and efficient service. Keep up the fantastic work.

Booked here as a party of 30 for my brothers birthday , the food was cooked and served promptly steak was done perfectly to my liking . I was impressed by the staff and how well they dealt with us all freindly and prompt service x

After several years as a member this place has become a disgrace. Honestly I cannot believe the disrespect the personal has in respecting the order food. Missing cheese from the chips, asked for it and never received not even the chips I paid for and after half an hour I had to ask for a refund which was less than I paid! The prawns were made without bread and the salad was just a teaspoon. What a disaster. Sick and tired of this attitude. Very rude and unprofessional! Very sad for this business overall!

Have used Stadium for years, it puts a lot of other much more expensive establishments to shame, especially when it comes to their steaks, don't waste your money on the likes of Miller & Carter etc, this is THE place in Nottingham if steaks your thing. The rest of the menu is varied and plentiful, they also have "Nights" where certain items are discounted or you can get 2 for 1 etc. The staff are great and you are never waiting too long for service. Great place that I use at least once a week.

The food was okay, nothing to write home about but hot and fairly tasty. The service was reasonably good, although a few more smiles would have been quite welcoming. There is no real atmosphere.

Served raw chicken on one meal which was disappointing. Food tasted subpar, as if it was frozen food reheated unfortunately. Staff really polite and respectful, offered refund or free dessert which was nice however.

Wow,what a difference! previously pre Covid, food was awful BUT this time food was fabulous especially for me as vegetarian . Hot, fresh and tasty. Staff were excellent. Had a really good Xmas night out, only issue was DJ stuck in 80’s , would have preferred all Xmas music for Xmas night out

Came here for our Xmas party the tables were a bit close together but they soon resolved that took ages for them to come and take our orders but we were told they were short staffed. But when the meals came out it was well organised hopefully we come back next year and they have more staff thanks

NEVER AGAIN,, £10.50 for a Sunday roast with the smallest amount of meat,absolutely tons of veg but the last time i seen,a Sunday roast was about the Meat,NOT about a plate of Veg and a game called (find the meat) if you want a decent Sunday roast then you definitely need to walk straight past this place,stupid price for a place that just wants to give you a plate of veg. i think people are already aware that the portions have turned Miniscule because it was dead as a door nail at 2 pm on a Sunday,people are clearly already aware that if you want meat on your Sunday roast then you have to go elsewhere and judging by how many people was in,they are already doing that. P.S. if you want a tiny bit of lamb they charge £2 more than the other meats so it will coat you £12.50 but you will still get next to NO meat,,JUST AVOID THE PLACE.

Food is off the chain. Got pool tables in the back, then do bingo and stuff aswell. You've gotta sign up when your first go in but easy enough, nice location, check it out. 👍

Best Sunday roast in Nottingham

Have heard the steaks are gorgeous but obviously being a vegetarian I can not swear to that personally. Polite, friendly,smiley staff.

Surprised this place is still going. Very run down but extremely good value for money.

Been to the Stadium a few times with the wife for something to eat, she had a nut roast dinner and I had a beef and overdone Yorkshire pudding dinner. This came with veg, mash potato and supposedly freshly roasted potatoes which were very hard on the outside and tasted awful, In fact I would say they were frozen Then heated up in the microwave they were that bad I asked for them to be replaced with fresher roast potatoes.even then when those potatoes arrived they were just has bad. We also realised the prices have been increased the portions are smaller and the quality of food in my opinion has gone down and I will not be eating there again. The quality of food, it’s not as nice as it used to be, I think they use frozen products, and nothing is not cooked fresh.

oh dear, service is ultra slow, staff look like they`d rather be else where, customer service is poor, had booked and informed them we had one wheelchair, just got told `sit at the green chairs, I had to faff moving chairs to get wheelchair in, had to ask for menu. took 35 mins just to bring drinks. had to ask for dessert menu, girl who took order looked like we`d asked her to do some work. had 2 ask for a drink we`d ordered, 3 times. food quality isn`t great. wasn`t told there was no stuffing till dinner arrived. no one asked if everything was ok. when paying the bill, girl just sat behind till ignoring my husband, gent had to come and do it, if she couldn`t then good customer service would of informed us of such. Manager needs to do some major work both with his staff and the menu.

After looking for the staff, it took 51 mins to receive the first course. The food was average apart from the apple pie which was delicious.

After nit visiting for 6-8 weeks , the menu had changes a little. I had my usual salad with ham , I received a side salad with a small pot of cheese no boiled egg . New potato's were in a dish in butter which I hadn't realised as before you git the butter separate. Definitely gone down hill. Another smaller portions, tried to hide by using little pots. To be honest won't be in a rush to return. Very disappointed

Used to love this place but will never return after today. New menu, higher prices, smaller portions. I had the turkey dinner, they served me turkey which was black in places, I sent it back and the turkey they gave me the second time was even worse. Refused to eat it or re order so had to sit and watch my friend eating and had to find somewhere else to eat after. What an absolute awful experience.

Really good wholesome food, Tuesday night is cheaper than cooking. Has anybody every had the fabled bread and butter pudding, ecerytime I have prded it, it is off! Come on bread and butter pudding for all. Ps if your chefs are struggling I am happy to give a demo

Went to a wedding reception, the venue was quite rundown. Drinks order was wrong most of the draft beers in the function room were out of order so I had to go into the main bar making it very busy when waiting for drinks at the bar. No stars for food as we didn't eat.

The food was lovely and for the most part the service was brilliant, Although one server was very rude and made no attempt to hide the fact that she was mocking us as we left and thanked them, I find her tone and attitude to of been very rude and uncalled for as, we had been nothing but polite to her and the other servers.

We hadn’t been here in a while as we usually go to sprinters in Arnold , so thought we’d give it a go mostly because of the lamb listed on the three course special. So I booked a table for 1pm greeting on arrival was a bit hit and miss we were taken to our table and given menus. Around 20 minutes later got asked what drinks we wanted so we ordered food at the same time we were told on ordering that there was no lamb left , which was fine so we all ordered the Turkey dinner , another 20 minutes went by we got our drinks ten minutes later we got our starters which was only soup but arrived with no cutlery!but seemed to take forever for the waitress to return !Within ten minutes we had finished our soup and the bowls were taken away 25 minutes later I had to ask where our main course was the waitress went to check and apparently it was being plated up in the kitchen so we waited and waited another ten minutes went by before we got our main meals ! . Well I would like to say it definitely wasn’t worth waiting for , not very warm and the Yorkshire puddings tasted stale like they were saved from the weekend before 🤢 so hence only half our meals were eaten. The plates were taken away ten minutes later and we asked for our puddings , another 20 /25 minutes later I had to ask again for the puddings to which they came after another ten minutes with no cutlery again ! So off she went and returned 5 minutes later with spoons . Honestly it was like pulling teeth. Yes it was fairly busy but there was plenty of staff so couldn’t understand why the service was so horrendous and the food not much better . Not once did we get ask if everything was ok , but may that’s because they know it’s crap and for three of us to go out for lunch I did not expect to be there over two hours and most if that was time spent asking and waiting. On leaving I still wasn’t asked about how everything was so I had to tell them how disappointed we were and why the girl did give a half hearted apology another rough looking customer sat on his own tried to have a go at us for complaining saying he’s never had a problem there , well maybe sober up and you might realise how bad it really is ! Also everyone’s experiences are different so maybe he should crawl back under in rock ! . So needless to say we definitely won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend anybody else wasting there hard earned money here . Sprinters in Arnold which is a restaurant in the same ownership is far better service food everything so please Avoid stadium leisure basford at all costs you will def be disappointed!

The first time here went with a good friend on his recommendation, and I have to say that I definitely will be going back again. I've only one gripe, and that is the starters on offer, out of the eight options, I was limited to two ( the others all had garlic in them, and I'm allergic to garlic) out of the two on offer one wasn't available. So I had the choice of 1 item . But it was good hot and fresh, Well worth the money spent.

Came here Saturday with some friends, lovely atmosphere, great food and great service. Especially our waitress, she was only young but did a fantastic job, very smiley and friendly.

Went there alone on a Friday night for a drink i l was the 2nd last by 10pm 1st coustermer was threatening me with his snooker stick cause he lost against the bar staff then 3 men are in my face threatening me very intimidating two being staff advise if go there don't go alone

Food is disgusting reheated food, can tell its been microwaved. Staff service is SO SLOW you've hardly think it was a restaurant, it used to be okay but staff members on front of house now are unattentative and rude. Wouldn't suggest coming here they have gone massively downhill.

Is this the cheapest 3 course meal in Nottingham and maybe the UK. We've been coming to Stadium Leisure for a number of years because they serve good, honest, homecooked food at very affordable prices. We had their 3 course meal £6.99. Starters Breaded Mushrooms Mexican Wedges Mains Roast Turkey & Stuffing Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding Desserts Crumble & Custard Fudge Cake & ice cream You have to get there early as it soon gets busy. Their restaurant has had a lovely makeover and is looking very smart. We highly recommend their steaks, too. They have their own in-house butchery. The staff are lovely and very hard working. Still good value £6.99.

the service is a bit slow ,but the foods really cheap and the atmosphere is great, it depends if you want cordon bleu then it's not for you ,if you want steak or a Sunday lunch go with the family

Been coming here for a number of years with very few issues, on the last two visits the front of house have been less than attentive, over 20 minute wait to order food on both occasions when the restaurant wasn’t busy, food quality is good but front of house definitely isn’t.

Was here for a corporate event and the food was great, venue worked, and friendly staff

Walked in on Valentine’s Day with my family of 5, and we were in luck as it was “Buy 1 get 1 free” Tuesday. Two mains for £9.50. Plenty to choose from, good portions and very delicious indeed. The rump steak is superb! Amazing value for money, attentive and quick service. If you are in the area, you cannot go wrong with this one.

Starters were excellent but encountered problems with 2 out of 3 mains. This was successfully managed on the day. The next day as we were walking to another shop nearby, we saw a male chef taking out a wheelie bin - whilst wearing his (chef whites) uniform. Basic food hygiene teaches that uniform should be removed before going to the toilet, so surely this should extend to taking rubbish outside?

Had carvery in the function room for a meeting, food was fantastic, staff were great. My only complaint would be the ladies toilet wasn't very clean.

Toilets are a disgrace and your staff are rude and don't have a clue. Served a Chambord and lemonade when we arrived but then wouldn't serve another one because they don't have a button for it on the till but then the original staff served me it again.

Ok let's be honest, the majority of this place is beautiful and you can see that money has been spent to make this place smart in the bars and function rooms. Sadly the snooker hall is so run down, dated and obviously ignored by management, strange when you consider Michael Holt (professional snooker player) plays here. Most tables are lacking rests or triangles and the rests that are there are mainly broken in some way . There are very few usable cues (fortunately I have my own). I have been a member here for years but due to being away I had not visited here since 2015/16 and I can say it has not had any TLC since then. The chairs around the room are old and falling apart too. Come on Stadium Leisure, please give this area the love and attention it requires. Currently a 2/5, fix the above and I would recommend this place to anyone as a 5/5.

Me and my wife came to stadium leisure on a Tuesday after hearing about their cheap 3 course menu for £6.99. we was greated by a small young blonde girl (didn’t catch her name) who sat us at our table and asked us which drinks we would like. Now usually once the food order has been taken at most places you don’t see the waitress again but wow was I wrong on this day. The blonde waitress was fantastic and to say she was extremely busy she made sure everything was ok with every course! If I hadn’t have asked I would have assumed she was some sort of manager. Nothing was too much to ask. The food was amazing good portion size to say how cheap it is and service was excellent I will definitely be coming back! Lots of different deals during the week.

So disappointing. Walked in and told to sit where we like by a colleague and they would come over , didn’t get a menu, other people came in after us, got a menu, ordered food and drinks, served their drinks, still no menu. Other tables ordered puddings, still no menu, tables cleaned, still no menus, phones answered, still no menus, staff chatting, still no menus. When a 7 and 10 year are critical of no service there’s a problem. Im not prepared to spend my money on ignorance, the interaction with the one member of your team who realised we had no menus was too little, too late. I usually love this place, always been spot on but I’m now eating elsewhere.
