Great place for meeting up with friends and nice food

Well I am amazed the staff was so lovely and the food was, well the food was just the best everything was a 10/10

Driven past for 10+ years and finally went for a meal there. It was amazing! Had a steak which was cooked really well and an extra sauce that was... sublime. Double vodka, pint of coke, steak, onion rings and the sauce for £17 something is a bargain. Will defo be back!!

I went to the stadium for my Christmas party the only part of the night I remember (obviously sign of a good night) was lily and Jasmine who obviously made such a big impression they're all I can remember.

5 times I’ve been in contact with stadium Leisure and 5 times my emails and messages have been read and ignored. Shocking Boxing Day family meal Good Morning. Boxing Day we had our meal booked for 3pm, we arrived just before 3pm to be told our table is not ready and to wait in the main bar and someone will come and collect us. 3.30pm my husband went and asked if our table we ready to be told yes it is, no one told us. A few of us ladies went to the toilet to find human poo on the 2 of toilet seats and no toilet roll, I told the staff behind the bar. We sat at out table and ordered drinks, 20 mins later i went up to an empty bar and asked the 2 female staff if we could have our drinks, she looked through some orders and said is this this and reeled some drinks off, 10 minutes later we got our drinks. We were cramped in a corner with nowhere enough space, my son and baby granddaughter had to sit on the end of the table with staff pushing through and my son getting constantly moving to let staff by. We had to ask for new cutlery as ours was dirty. We asked for high chair to be told they have not got any left, we had put on the booking we have a 1 year old. In the mean time the toilets was not yet clean with toilet roll. After the main course it took over 1 hour for our deserts, we asked a man and he said oh you no had them yet. Christmas pudding rock hard. Each course we had to ask for more cutlery as one set was put out. We asked for things like cranberry sauce, tartar sauce and pepper to have a reaction, oh let me see, still waiting for the pepper today. After meal we were told we still need to pay for another meal, Somone's not paid, it was paid in full the end of November. Still on the way out around 6pm the toilets were not still clean with toilet roll. As a catering supervisor for Nottingham City Council this was not acceptable, condiments should be on the table ready with enough cutlery the start of the meal, the staff did not seem happy, maybe too many people booked in and not enough staff, not enough planning for the day. The toilet's hygiene must come first. As a family we have been coming for years, great food but sadly this year was not up to scratch. We shall have to think as a family we shall return. Regards.

I just cannot express just how good Pearce and his team were on the night of my wife's 50th birthday party (11/01/25) they knocked it right out of the park. Right from the minute we arrived the team helped us set up hanging banners and general party set up. Everyone said how good the venue and the event was. The DJ was amazing got everyone up on the dance floor all night long played every request it was AMAZING! A relative had a fall and Pearce was straight on it helped to get them sorted with the minimum of fuss. The whole night from start to finish was AMAZING a big thank you to everyone that helped pull off a flawless night.

Service TERRIBLE waiting for table to be cleared after main course for nearly an hour and only 3 other tabled in, had to go up to the counter and order puddings as the 2 girls were to busy chatting to take our order only good point was the food

I like going to this restaurant, staff are usually very friendly and prices are reasonable

Fantastic place, good, honest, affordable food (the homemade chips are especially good). The staff are lovely and friendly. At these prices you'd expect it to be low quality, but it's great. Update May '19....Still true! Tony is awesome!

The steak was very tough and bland, almost as if I was fighting the steak when cutting it. The staff had very limited knowledge on allergens. The servers were polite and attentive, but they were clearly overworked. The ambience was dated and tired.

Group Xmas meal. Music too loud. Slow service. Catering for too many at once.

Come here for lunch a lot when I’m working and the staff are always so kind. The lad on reception today was lovely!

Staff was very polite but food was terrible my partner had mixed grill which was 17.99 and steak was burnt to a crisp not what we asked for I had hunters chicken it was so dry and burnt all round edges and to top it off it had no sauce and it looked like it had been warmed up more than once when we paid we was asked if all was ok and we just said yes as we are too polite we just thought pay and get out but it was first time we d eaten there and we won’t be going back !!

Fantastic place. Great value. Never disappointed. I have not found anywhere better. Food superb, staff are excellent.

Cheap cheerful full of characters- brilliant steak n chips for the money. The bar staff ( a female) clearly had attitude from the moment we walked in. Drank a pint left to drink elswewhene shame its not as good as it was...

We went for Sunday lunch. Quality of food not bad for price but don't expect too much. Service friendly too.

Staff helpful. Asked for a specific glass of wine but wasn't to my taste so changed it with no hesitation.

food very disappointing. manager was very rude and seemed rushed to speak to our table like he didn’t want to be there. waitresses were lovely but you can tell they’re overworked and not getting enough recognition for the hard work they put into their job. absolute downfall to what it used to be.

We waited 50 minutes for our food, asked staff multiple times where it was, went back up the 4th and they had left it on the counter

Food was very disappointing! Burger looked like something you'd get from a football stadium and came burnt but was refused a refund but offered something else instead so had to have cheesecake for my dinner 😭 which was also very basic! Food used to be amazing,so god knows what's happened!! Staff are lovely though I guess.

Ordered medium rear steak but came medium well done. Side salad was wilted with being on a hot plate. Needs to be in seperate dish. Ps dont sit near main doors on a cold day as they stick open.

2 meals for £12. Proper, home cooked food. Great service (thanks Josh). Plenty of space (doesn't feel too cramped). Recommend.

Absolutely brilliant place, great food, great price. Literally had a 3 course meal for £7.50. I go in once a month when I'm in Nottingham and have some food. The lasagne is lovely and the chips are like chippy chips 💪 Snooker club at the back too, nice little bonus. If I lived in the area, I'd be in multiple times a week 👌

rubbish service we waited 10 to 20 minutes for someone to order our dinner bc they were all in the kitchen talking so my mum got the bill and payed for the drinks and went to a different food place so that I can finally enjoy a meal

Been coming to Stadium for 20 years and think it's the best place in Nottingham, Usually. Over the past 2 months we have noticed a major decline in the standards of food and cleanliness of the sports bar and restaurant area. The first time we wasn't happy we put it down to a one off, the 2nd time we thought maybe a new chef. But last night was awful. We was not told about the food not available until after we had paid nearly £45, leaving my partner with no other options as she only came for one specific meal. we was then served Luke warm food and they brought the complete wrong sauce boat out again, steak was not cooked how I asked for it and still had loads of blood present. Happened twice in a week. The seats and menus were very sticky and left a sticky residue on our hands. We would never normally write a review like this. But we hope management pick this up and make the necessary changes to ensure our favourite restaurant returns to the normally high standards we are used to.

Went to play snooker so haven't tried the food. Restaurant is always busy though.

Fantastic place. I really enjoyed the evening there. It was for a mate's wake the staff were fantastic. They did two bottles for 7 English pounds. Big shout out to the security personnel Moses and the other person i didn't get his name but they looked after us so well. I was allowed to leave my personal belongings with them and they looked after them i never felt worried.

Went for lunch today and got to say absolutely superb..Food looked amazing,really hot,steak cooked perfectly,honey mustard chicken amazing (potatoes and accompaniments fab)Can't praise it enough.

Came in for our anniversary meal food was spot on large portions and hot nothing we ordered was warm or anything wrong with it cooked to our we asked the price for the food is right on the ball if anything it's cheap than some places charge would recommend this place for meals staff are very friendly and helpful

My grandson treated me to a meal ,I must admit I haven't had a meal in a restaurant due to my thoughts of hygiene ,so after some pressure I went ,This place got my full marks and I would happily go back, Everything was great ,nothing seemed hassle, food was great,Gammon steak ,chips ,peas and salad went down well ,Price was great .

Wouldn't bother it's not very good.

Worse service we had. Used to be good but now they’re too lazy to collect empty dishes so you’re eating with your starters. Took over an hour to get puddings. Served a few other people they left after getting their food. They took an hour setting up a table put two farty little balloons but couldn’t get our puddings out while there’s 3-4 servers chatting to each other not bothering to clean up tables. Not even busy so it’s not that hard to serve food on time. Starters and mains came out quicker. The chips were raw seems like they can rush it and put all food on high temp so it looks burnt but raw in the middle. Salad not fresh cucumber was rubbery and drying out. Definitely gone down hill with the service. They don’t even care how long you’ve waited in a near empty restaurant. I could of went to the shops brought a fudge cake microwaved it quicker than waiting for a pudding. A family that had arrive well after us at least an hour after us managed to get their pudding super quick

Went for a wedding reception. Good sized function room with it's own bar and dance floor with DJ All in all a good night out👍

Booked for my daughters birthday lunch the table was booked for 2pm when we arrived was shown to the table promptly then the wait began it took about 40 minutes for someone to take a drinks order then waited along time for the drinks to arrive, it seem that the staff ignored us didn't even ask if everything was OK, I wouldn't mind if the resturant was full but it wasn't, I think 2 half hours just for one course is not acceptable we all wanted deserts but we didn't order it as we wasn't sure how long we would have to wait, it will be a very long time until I go again .

The food was good we liked it but unfortunately your staff was very impolite . I can’t believe that me and my wife many times said thank you but she didn’t answer . No smiling, no respect ..

Really chilled environment the staff was absolutely lovely and the food was amazing I’ve not had food like that in a long time and I eat allot of food 😂 the wait time wasn’t that long at all but ya can tell they spent time and care with the food my partner doesn’t like restaurant food that much and she tried here today with me and she demolished her plate. 100% recommend if I could rate it a 10 I would!!! Review edited we got a desert it was absolutely amazing. My partner nipped to the toilet and my pudding was gone before she got back. That’s how nice it was and she absolutely loves it if I had the choice to live in this restaurant and eat all the food I’ve could I’d probably be 28 stone by now but all jokes aside serious this was the most amazing restaurant I’ve been to in months I only have one picture of one pudding because the food in my pudding was too good to stop and take a photo haha… i’m not that it’s really important because it’s more for food and drinks but the toilets are the most cleanest restaurant toilets I’ve ever come across!

Great staff and atmosphere with great food... I say this I only ever have steak when we visit... but that's always cooked perfectly and always quality meat... so for a steakhouse, I'd say they were great, lol... I would definitely recommend!

Food quality is terrible and has gone down hill and the state of the restaurant is dirty, dirty floors, tables, and windows.

Very poor bacon and hash brown not cooked didn't offer free tea and coffee every one sat around doing not anything and the lady just couldn't be bothered

It was a great experience all staff were well pleasant and kind towards me and my family whilst helping my grandma with support. I also want to say how beautiful the food and the pride that can be told throughout the food whilst eating on their special offer on a Tuesday.

I accidentally got into this restaurant by mistake. I had to wait for more than 20 mins for someone to get my order. The bearers act like they are damn frustrated with their job and hospitality looked like a word they never heard before. I have placed my order after a long wait, I will be posting another review after I try the food. So far the worst experience I ever had in Nottingham. Looks like they are doing some charity for the sake of serving customers. To the owner pls treat your employees right so they treat your customers right.

Where do you go when you want to eat out and you're on a tight budget? Stadium Leisure at New Basford,Notts has the answer. On Tuesday's, they offer a Three course lunch for the incredible price of only £7.25. No,that's not a Typo. But you better get there early.We got there at 12.10pm, thinking we'll be first in. How wrong can you be? The restaurant was packed to the rafters. We hadn't booked but managed to get the last seats in the house, which was a very comfortable booth. There's a choice of starters,mains, and desserts. You order all three choices to begin with and wait patiently for each course to be served. Our starters were Garlic breaded mushrooms served with a garlic mayo dip. Filo Coated King Prawns served with a sweet chilli dip. There's was a bit of a wait for the mains, as the staff were run off their feet serving what seemed to be half of Basford. For Mains, a lovely tasty Homemade Cottage Pie with vegetables and gravy. Traditional Turkey,with roast and mash potato, carrots,cabbage, stuffing & Yorkshire Pudding. Then came the desserts Hot Apple & Cinnamon Pie. and warm lemon & and coconut sponge both served with piping hot custard. The food is very good, homemade and very filling. Their meat is from their own in-house butchery and theres great offers every day throughout the week.

Food is good and reasonably priced, however alcohol is a tad expensive. I was shocked to find you must join to enter certain parts including the back restaurant which includes providing a trove of private data and biometrics (finger print) which is a little invasive in my opinion.

Would be a 5* but new management want your picture address and fingerprint just to play pool or order food, what a crazy world we live in, how is that even remotely sane?

This place is simply fantastic. The food is outstanding, portions are generous, service is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable.

It was delicious. We ordered the Ultimate Roast which includes beef and turkey plus vegetables and we were surprised by quantity and quality! Incredible their homemade onions rings!

Every Tuesday I go for the 7.25 3 course lunch between 12 & 2 The food is amazing The portions are huge and the staff and service is outstanding 5 star Can’t thank them enough and I look forward to my Tuesday treat

Value for money ...my previous review I gave 5 stars, I’ve never had reason to complain but my last visit prompted me to change my review. 5th March 24 greeted by a young lady instructing us to sit where she wanted when the place was almost empty, took exception to us asking for a booth. Unfortunately we had to leave the cutlery was filthy and put us off. We have been members for many years and this will not encourage us to return. Shame.

Had one of the daily specials on the menu, which was very tasty but way too much on the plate for me. my friend took hers home in a 'doggy bag' (mainly the roast beef from her dinner). The pudding i chose was a traditional chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. and well worth the price.

Absolutely fantastic 10 out of 10 on service..quality of food atmosphere and price.we will be back every week.cant wait to start Fridays.

Me and my partner came to stadium Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner. We were welcomed by two lovely young ladies. We had 1 drink each and the new steak fondue recommended by our waitress Demy. She said It was new on the menu so we didn’t know what to expect but it was so good! We passed on dessert because we were so full but I did have a coffee which was really nice. Would definitely recommend.

Good food on a deal Worth a visit

We have never had a bad meal here. We celebrate most of the families birthdays and even in bigger groups the food is fantastic. I cannot compliment this venue enough for their food and efficient service. Keep up the fantastic work.

Booked here as a party of 30 for my brothers birthday , the food was cooked and served promptly steak was done perfectly to my liking . I was impressed by the staff and how well they dealt with us all freindly and prompt service x

After several years as a member this place has become a disgrace. Honestly I cannot believe the disrespect the personal has in respecting the order food. Missing cheese from the chips, asked for it and never received not even the chips I paid for and after half an hour I had to ask for a refund which was less than I paid! The prawns were made without bread and the salad was just a teaspoon. What a disaster. Sick and tired of this attitude. Very rude and unprofessional! Very sad for this business overall!

Have used Stadium for years, it puts a lot of other much more expensive establishments to shame, especially when it comes to their steaks, don't waste your money on the likes of Miller & Carter etc, this is THE place in Nottingham if steaks your thing. The rest of the menu is varied and plentiful, they also have "Nights" where certain items are discounted or you can get 2 for 1 etc. The staff are great and you are never waiting too long for service. Great place that I use at least once a week.

The food was okay, nothing to write home about but hot and fairly tasty. The service was reasonably good, although a few more smiles would have been quite welcoming. There is no real atmosphere.

Served raw chicken on one meal which was disappointing. Food tasted subpar, as if it was frozen food reheated unfortunately. Staff really polite and respectful, offered refund or free dessert which was nice however.

Wow,what a difference! previously pre Covid, food was awful BUT this time food was fabulous especially for me as vegetarian . Hot, fresh and tasty. Staff were excellent. Had a really good Xmas night out, only issue was DJ stuck in 80’s , would have preferred all Xmas music for Xmas night out

Came here for our Xmas party the tables were a bit close together but they soon resolved that took ages for them to come and take our orders but we were told they were short staffed. But when the meals came out it was well organised hopefully we come back next year and they have more staff thanks
