If I was scoring on the booking system it would be a 3 but due to the amazing meal we ate if I could give more than 5 I would. Not visited since before it was revamped. It's been tastefully decorated and little details ie lighting table arrangement have been set to compliment any romantic meal for 2..The waiter was very polite and helpful and could see my husband was disappointed that they didn't serve steak and chips. As we had booked we decided on the steak and confit potatoes. We were so glad we did as it was absoloutley amazing. I can't put into words only say if you love steak this us the best around. Cooked to perfection. Dragoncello salsa well just wow. The complentary hummus was superb. Thankyou to the wonderful chefs. Great menu, see you soon.

No option to book, yet open on a monday. for a bar/restaurant linked to a hotel, there is no food options in the afternoon, and then on evenings, very difficult to get a table too. certainly should have options for nearby hotel guests (certainly mid-week as well)

Called the stables to be told they don’t accept a table booking over 6, we are 2 families meeting up for Sunday lunch never heard anything like it

Outstanding food and service. Only regret hadn't visited sooner. Sunday roast lunch cooked to perfection, ample portions and nicely presented.

We visited for Sunday lunch again this week. The food quality was fantastic as usual and tasted amazing. 😋 The restaurant was incredibly warm to the point where the staff were agreeing and trying to open more windows. Thanks Michelle for trying to sort this - you were great. ☺️ Our service was poorer than usual, we were speaking to two members of staff who walked away mid question. 😟 We had a drink spilled on the table and several unused glasses and cutlery not taken away which made it quite cramped. We queried one of our sides to our waitress, and we were then ‘confronted’ by a manager who was quite aggressive so we stayed quiet after this. 😶

This was our fourth visit to Manor House Alsager & again we had a great time. We went to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary & the staff were welcoming & friendly as per usual. The room was large & clean. The breakfasts was well cooked . As for the evening meal that could not be faulted. It ya great put the way hotel for relaxation. We would like to thank the staff for their hospitality & surprising us with a dish they prepared a great touch.

Nice spot, nice food, service errata, terrible Muzak. Lovely courtyard garden, ideal basking spot (though some seat cushions wet, not that fun to have wet trousers)Food quite good As we often find, service good until a certain point when it stops completely and you have to go inside and ask for some service. Why aren’t waiting staff trained to walk round frequently and look to see if anyone wants anything or the table needs clearing? Seems so simple...Seriously awful cover versions of good songs. Please just don’t. We will come again though

We stayed here for the weekend and booked into the restaurant and had 3 courses, and each course was devine, the staff were very attentive too. Thank you. Keep up the good work.

Absolute loved our meal. I had the soup of the day (carrot and coriander) and my partner had the creamy mushrooms, both was excellent in taste.For mains we had the steak and ale pie and the beef bourguignon. The steak and ale pie was well filled out, the veg and mash that come with it was also tasty and bang on in the middle between soft and crunchy veg. The beef bourguignon is what my partner had and she absolutely loved it, she said it has so much flavour and every mouthful was as good as the last.

This was my first visit with my family for a lunch time meal and drinks. What a fabulous venue and setting with Covid disciplines in place. The service and food was exceptional. We all had different food off the menu and it was all served together. A really good experience and we shall return very soon. Had to have pictures of my Granddaughter Pippa Noel

Have eaten here on many occasions as part of a DBB stay at the hotel. Recently we decided to visit the Stables for lunch with friends and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The meals were the usual excellent standard we are used to, the staff friendly and professional and the whole ambience of the Stables makes you relax as soon as you walk through the door. The friends we took with us had never been before and were blown away with the Stables and would now, like us, recommend this excellent restaurant to anyone.

Came with a large party and everyone enjoyed. As a chef myself I can tell that there is care taken in the food and the pricing is great value, chain restaurants will charge you the same for frozen s#!@ and it's easy to tell the difference. Could only find nitpicks with my starter and main and everyone else's food looked excellent. The dessert was my only minor complaint, and I'm only mentioning it as feedback for the chefs as I still ate it. My panna cotta was overset, and though it tasted nice it got overpowered by the 3 raspberry elements on the dish. Sorbet was delicious though. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous meal last night at the stables restaurant. The service was second to none and the food was fabulous.. We had the porcetta and the pie. Only downside.... No room for pudding!!!!! As we'd arrive before 7 we also got the 2 for one on cocktails. We just love it here

Celebrated my sons 30th Birthday here in the private dining room . There were 20 of us in total . I could not fault one thing , from booking , the pre-ordering service was brilliant and very easy to use . The food on the night was fantastic, everyone enjoyed there meals and the service was quick and efficient and we all ate at the same time which sometimes doesn’t happen when there is a large group . The young man that served us was brilliant ( sorry didn’t get his name ) he could not do enough to help us . I would highly recommend!! Thank you To all !!

Afternoon Tea in The Stables Restaurant Staff as always welcoming & pleasant Lovely sandwiches & delicious cakes one small point the scones would have tasted better warm

We live locally & have been lucky to have dined here twice this week - as always given a warm welcome by friendly attentive staff We chose from the Christmas menu two delicious courses for £20 - (£2 discount for OAPs) Food served pipping hot on locally produced tableware which always gets an extra ✔️from me

Met up with colleagues here for an excellent dinner. Lots of variety on the menu including some very good veggie options. Good service that was friendly, prompt & not intrusive. Highly recommended. Would definitely visit again when in area.

We met up with friends for dinner here. Two of us had fish and chips, two had buttermilk chicken burgers. The food was really excellent, beautifully moist chicken, fresh and well cooked fish, tasty chips. All simple, well cooked food served by friendly and professional staff. We will certainly return.

Lovely fillet steak, chicken burger a bit greasy. The bottle of Malbec was very nice. Restaurant area was pristine, ambience was excellent.

Called in here for a quick lunch - varied menu that looked appetising and pleasant atmosphere. Plumped for the slow cooked beef chilli which was really good and spent an hour or so on the laptop after a rearranged appointment left me with a little time. Attentive friendly staff and a good spot.

My husband and I ate here on Saturday night. The food was excellent, my husband said his steak was perfect, my cod was beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were very attentive and very pleasant and looked as though they enjoyed their work, which makes a change. Will definitely go back.

Nice, comfortable surroundings,service good, food quality okay, but the batter on the fish was rather “soggy”. Wine prices, ridiculous, It’s a Pity, because with a more varied menu, and resononable drinks prices, I do feel that I this venue could do well.

Friends from Melton Mowbray and friends from The New Forest meet with myself to have dinner and stay at the Manor House Hotel. Every meal starters mains and deserts and I do have to say a big mention for the cheeseboard which is huge and absolutely beautiful, but then everything was beautiful.

Had a fantastic meal with a group of friends. The decor of the place is also gorgeous. Great service from the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was beautiful! Will be going back and recommending to family and friends x

We live locally so The Manor House is always an easy walk wether it’s for lunch, evening dinner or just a glass of wine

We stayed in the hotel on a dinner bed and breakfast rate, dinner was 3 courses and couldn’t find fault with anything we both had the lamb shank for our main it was really delicious and just melted in your mouth. Breakfast the next day was excellent as well very good variety and was one of the best breakfasts we have had, would highly recommend.

Lovely Mother’s Day meal. The staff were helpful friendly and efficient. The restaurant is very warm and welcoming with nice decor. The food we had was tasty, nicely presented and there was a very good choice. We all enjoyed it.

Stayed overnight, hotel really nice. This allowed me to test out 3 coarse dinner and full breakfast. Both passed with flying colours. In no way disappointed. I very rarely say that!!! Don't think it will be to long before we get back.

I treated my family to the 3 course Sunday Dinner offer at Stables Bar & Grill yesterday. The ambience is relaxing and stunning.

We took my elderly godmother for a birthday celebration. The staff were very kind and attentive throughout.

Had brunch today served 10am-3pm food only okay, scrambled eggs & salmon eggs very dry, (we asked for them to be moist) so not happy, salmon was good. the table was not seviced we had to ask every time we needed anything and one waitress wanted us to shout across the dinning room that we wanted. The table between courses was never cleared away , even payment was hard work.

Thee best Sunday lunch I have ever had! 10 out of 10. Even though they had ran out of roast beef at 8pm it was still amazing. The sharing Sunday lunch, out of this world :)

We went as a family of 7 on Christmas Eve. We had a fantastic evening and were really looked after. The service was excellent and the food was really nice, with a great selection even the veggie (me!) took a while to decide what to have! I would really reccommend a visit and we are all looking forward to going back.

We had a annual Xmas evening get together here and have done for the past 3 years. The food wasn’t hot and only just about warm which we all agreed was disappointing.

We were led to a downstairs table by a very helpful blonde waitress. She was very attentive and informative. I started with a seafood cocktail which had three components of crab, prawns and shrimp. It was delicious. My wife had the chicken supreme which was technically very well cooked, My wife seemed to really enjoy it. I had the lamb as a main and found it very tasty. We shared a chocolate dessert. A reasonable wine menu was available.
