We've spent many years holidaying in St Ives , and eaten in most of the restaurants, this place is now one of our favourites. It can be a bit tricky being gluten free and vegan ...and husband not , to find somewhere that both of us are happy to eat at ! Here fits the bill perfectly. Lots of tasty , fresh dishes to choose from , and incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommend. X

Have been getting takeaways from the Hong Kong Kitchen since the early 00s and can confidently say this is the best takeaway in St Ives, past or present. Food is always delivered quickly and arrives steaming hot, fresh and delicious. Vegetarian options are just as tasty as the meat options. Prices are good value and portions are a great size, never left hungry. All of the staff are lovely and very efficient too. A mainstay of St. Ives.

Popped in here for a quick bite to eat and what a great time we had. The food was delish and the staff very welcoming and friendly. The Lamb Tagine & Chicken Shawarma was excellent. Nice & fresh. Will come again

Absolutely disgusting food and delivery driver Will was soo creepy and strange, kept beeping his horn outside and when I went out he started winking and wolf whistling at Mr, me concern is I'm a 15 stone male and he has a female partner,.I was worried.when.he started trying to feel me when.i collected food.and then stroke my hand when.giving.and.recoevong.money, complained to takeaway who laughed it off

Absolute worst Chinese I’ve ever had, chow mein stunk of fish and the chips were stale, and the shredded beef tasted like beef toe nails wouldn’t even give it a 1 star rating!

Was a brilliant food & service price value spot on would order again.

Wow what a delicious surprise. I popped in for a takeaway wrap and was blown away by a taste sensation. The Lebanese wrap was next level, packed full of chicken breast salad and rice.

Visited for lunch , had a couple of Cornish beers, prawn taco’s and lamb tagine . Both mine and partners were really tasty making us wonder why we had not been before as we come to st ives a couple of times a year. I wonder if we thought it was more a takeaway? You know when your meal was good when you want to tell others they need to try this place so it’s there when you come back !

Last minute take away, would highly recommended. Lovely flavours and the lamb fell apart it was so tender! We will be returning ☺️

We visited street food kitchen one Saturday night in January. We were planning to go somewhere else but thought the menu looked interesting so called in. The staff were so engaging and willing to chat. The food was super tasty and excellent value for money. It was a very cold night but if it had been a little warmer inside the restaurant it would have been perfect! We will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu .

Popped in here for a for a tasty plate and was not disappointed. I had the vegetarian tagine, which was full of fresh green beans and a beautifully spiced tomato base. Huge portion and delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommended.

We opted for takeaway from here, it’s was great! We had prawn tacos and beef noodles. The menu is a great eclectic mix of dishes. The actual food was very fresh, cooked in front of us. The chaps running it were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Best Chinese food in Cornwall, absolutely delicious! I have been eating from the Hong Kong Kitchen for years and never had a bad meal. Highly recommend the Kung Po Chicken if you like a spicy take on Sweet and Sour.

Ordered a takeaway from here at just after 5pm. Food was cooked in good time, and when the food was handed over, what we had ordered was read back to us. However, upon getting back to our apartment, it was found that a portion of rice and 2 portions of chips were missing. As we were only minutes away, it was no problem to go back and rectify the issue. The missing food was handed over with no argument or questions asked. Being a cynical person, I found myself wondering if, knowing we were visitors to the town, the items were deliberately left out thinking that we wouldn't bother to go back. It has to be said that most of the food was delicious. Aromatic duck, spare ribs, pancake rolls, szechwan chicken, duck fried rice,chicken chow mein, all delightful. However, the battered chicken for the lemon chicken dish looked like it had been sliced on a bacon slicer. Being cut so thin, the meat had dried out to the point of being inedible, a better option would have been to use it to re sole our shoes. Thankfully the other food portions were quite generous so no one went hungry. Definitely a meal of 2 halves. One delicious, the other disgusting. Such a pity because what was good was excellent.

This little takeaway spot has both a collection and delivery option… the service was quick as we only waited 10 minutes. We always come here when we holiday in St Ives and have never had any issues! Really reasonable prices for some tasty takeaway. It is cash only but there is a cash point round the corner so not a problem. I recommend the salt and pepper chicken as well as the prawn toast. We will be returning here <3

Chow Mein with barbecue sauce not great, found a piece of metal fibre type bit in the Chow Mein and the king prawns with Brocoli had a strange oysters sauce that I've never tasted before, nor wish to again.

If you don’t want to spend all your morning and afternoon puke at the toilet don’t order anything from this place. Everyone in our group who ate the takeaway from this place get seriously stomachache issue, ruined the holiday 😞

The food was awful. If I could give zero stars that would be my choice. Sweet & sour chicken nothing like from my local Chinese in Cheltenham and the egg fried rice was positively awful.

I have used Hong Kong Kitchen for years. But last night was the worst meal we have ever had The Ribs was dry like they have been warmed up The Chicken had a strange texture. The Pork was also dry.

DON'T LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS!!!!!! Food was delicious. We ordered a takeaway and it came within half an hour. Food all piping hot. Would recommend the salt and pepper king prawns, honey glazed ribs. Very reasonably priced.

Avoid. I Was violently ill within 2 hours of eating! Dr friend advised probably bacteria from rice (the only thing my other half didn’t eat!) Was horrible and ruined first part of my holiday.

Ordered the salt and pepper box, sooo disappointed, couldn't tell the difference between the ribs and chicken, all so hard and overcooked, was horrible, on the plus side we had special foo young and although there was only 3 prawns it was lovely.

Only stopped here because it was raining, and we were feeling a bit hungry. Both had the tandoori chicken wrap with salad and rice. Delightful. Had a good chat with the guy who served us, about food we'd eaten in different places worldwide. Very friendly.

Delicious food ready in 10 minutes and piping hot! Enormous portions - we could easily have shared 1 meal between the 2 of us. And free prawn crackers, too! Would definitely order from here again. Visited again on our next trip to St. Ives and food was still delicious, prepared really quickly and served by friendly staff. Still excellent 😊

Not bad, have had a lot worse Chinese takeaway. The sweet and sour sauce was way too sweet, but the salt and pepper tofu was amazing as we're the salt and pepper chips. Crispy seaweed was also a bit sweet Cash only which we didn't see on the menu so had to collect instead of delivery. Not bad

I arrived into this establishment with high hopes, Even if the prices were as high as my hopes, but I thought I would give the food a try. Me and my husband both went for the lamb tagine. That was a bad mistake. There was no lamb to be seen and the green beans were more yellow than green. Will Not be coming back to this absolute horror show!!!

I ate Beef Tacos there the other day, as snack meal for lunch. Perfect portion size. Delicious. Fresh. Spicy. Flavoursome. Bit soggy.But that didn't bother me. Cutlery was provided. Overall, Highly recommend.

After giving up all hope on finding filling, coeliac-friendly vegan food in St Ives, we stumbled upon this lovely little spot. The owner made me feel so welcome and comfortable, double checking all the ingredients with me without making me feel like a pain in the backside (I didn't even have to ask which was a first!). He was a lovely human and chatted to us about his experiences of training chain restaurants in dietary requirement-friendly food, and his recent Oktoberfest holiday in Germany. We had fresh maki rolls and a vegan tagine which were both so fresh and filling, and gave us the energy we needed to face the bustle of half-term St Ives. We will definitely be recommending to our friends and family!

Amazing food, lovely staff, definitely worth a visit if you're in town, for a quick and easy, delicious and healthy lunch.

If you are visiting St Ives you need to head to this place. It is incredible! The tacos were out of this world, tasty, fresh and the flavours are insane! Portions are great and reasonably priced. The chef is a fantastic host, chatting, welcoming and down to earth. All around great little place with the food to match. We shall be coming here each time we come to St Ives! It would be a shame to miss out on this little gem!

Had a take away from the Street Kitchen. - food was really tasty but the portions really small. We had 2 dishes to share, but not really enough. For the price expected more.

Went here for a quick bite at lunch and had the vegan Moroccan tagine and the lentil Dahl. My partner and I shared the dishes and they were both so delicious. Had a nice chat with the owner as well who was really friendly and knowledgable about the dishes. He seemed really passionate about the food which made this a great eating experience.

Me and my friend was strolling the streets of st Ives extremely hungry, we could not get over how good this place smelt! We both had the philly cheese steak sandwich and it DID NOT disappoint! Mouth wateringly tasty! Fresh! Not to mention the lady who served us who was so friendly and welcoming! Definitely will be back!

Me and my partner visited St Ives as a little getaway and found this on Google before we went. We’re so glad we tried it out! The food was absolutely incredible. We tried the Japanese Teriyaki chicken bowl and Lebanese chicken shawarma. We were so happy. The flavours were so good and the portion size was huge. The chef there was so friendly and really encouraged us to try the sauces and everything. Trust him! He really knows what he’s doing. It tasted great. I have a food intolerance and he was so kind - he even offered to make the food from scratch for me. We would highly recommend and will definitely visit again! We did take out but there are a few seats to sit down which I think is good. Great value for money. Thank you for such a great meal!

Used this place loads of times, always had a good meal. Well priced and I'll use it again. Its cash only no card but there's 2 cash points within a minutes walking distance. Recommended 👍👍

the food was amazing and very filling but the service wasn’t as great. the menu online is different to the one in the shop. we asked for a chicken wrap but was given a chicken bowl and when asked to change it the woman got annoyed yet our order was different to what we asked for. then when ordering 2 other things we got asked ‘are you sure you want these or no’ in a rude way as if we mixed up our own order.

Had dinner here last night, called up and only waited 10mins for collection. Perfect! Cash only on collection. Food was piping hot and nice. Squid was lovely and we were happy. We visited St Ives on Friday of the Jubilee weekend. Luckily they stayed open a little longer than their usual 5pm that day as we didn't get there until just after this. The food was amazing and they offered several vegetarian options too! Staff friendly and their chef has a great sense of humour. Will definitely return here if we visit St Ives again.

Outstanding! We had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, the Lebanese Chicken and the Moroccan Lamb Tagine and all were fantastic. Add that to the welcoming and personable customer service and it doesn't get much better for lunch in St Ives.

It was just OK. Sweet and sour chicken a bit mushy and chicken with cashews somewhat tasteless. Just your average Chinese unfortunately although staff were friendly and fast service.

Literally the worst chinese I have ever had. The chips were dry and clearly been sat for hours. The crispy chilli beef sauce was a mix of water and vinegar. The curry was completely tasteless with raw onions. I wouldn't even give it a 1 star tbh absolutely shocking!!

The best Chinese in St Ives, but that doesn't mean it's amazing. Can be extremely hit and miss, so I totally understand the mixed reviews. On a bad day I'd leave it 1 star. However, on a good day I'd rate it 5 stars. For me it has been more good than bad! Cash only but has a cash point 10 seconds down the road.

Placed an order for collection and when went to collect was told it was cash only. When we queried it they said it had to be cash no cards. This is poor in the present pandemic and they couldn't care less when we said we had no cash. Not helpful and wasn't bothered.

After searching many a site for the best Chinese takeaway whilst here in Cornwall, I was very surprised to hear that this establishment was constantly given a great 5 star experience. Unfortunately I was shocked and I didn’t agree with the food I received, my lemon chicken was hard and very dry with even the accompanying lemon sauce, also members of my party concurred with my assumption as they’re meals were also very disappointing.

Tasteless food, items missing. Rang to let them know and in the background someone shouted, "of course they have them" wouldn't reccomend.

Living locally we often have difficulty finding good food and service high season but this guy does the most amazing take out food we will be using Street Food Kitchen regularly from now on.

Sorry but I couldn't taste the taro, just tasted like super sweet milky tea. 😕. I have not tasted their food, but my neighbours have said it's a place to try before our holiday ends.

Terrible customer service they put the phone down on you, we was located less than a mile away 0.4 miles to be exact. Would of even taken a collection but to call and have the phone put down on you 4 times is ridiculous. Closing time was 11pm we attempted our first call at 10pm which was more than enough time I would just prefer honesty over rudeness, absolutely shocking
