St George's Diner in Gravesham

Lots to choose from. Our meal was lovely, freshly cooked and very tasty. Service was very good. Lovely views of St George's Church from the cafe.

Tasty vegan food and really nice staff, that's what matters the most to me in a cafe or restaurant, and the food was really much better than most restaurants in town

Always a pleasure to come here very polite staff and food is great every time made it my regular carnt think of any other place to get my fry up keep it up 👌

This is a lovely cafe. There are loads of choices on the menu and it's a nice spot to chill out. It's not the cheapest cafe in Gravesend but the food is always good here. Friendly staff are always pleased to see you.

We visited this diner with kids. The menu is brilliant, so many food combinations to choose from and of course you are welcome to customise your plate too. Prices reflect the variety on your plate and offered choices so in that respect they seem okay. However, we felt overcharged as some of the ingredients are of such poor quality or just carelessly cooked. The eggs were a huge disappointment, pale like if these were from caged hens, and so overcooked, tasted like rubber. And the salad, smelled just as if it was washed in dirty water. Or just off cuts! Enjoyed sausages and especially the mushrooms were nicely fried but baked beans seemed so sweet, almost inedible. We won’t be returning again to this place I’m afraid, almost half of our food was left on our plates so not good economy.

Come here for the first time in a number of years, the food was still of a good standard and well presented. One issues the resturant had a number of flies due to the windows being open due to the heat. More expensive than other local places and of a similar standard.

Stopped in for the first time today had scrambled eggs on toast & a full english. Served promptly food was hot, the scrambled eggs were fine however staff did not ask if preferred brown bread so not sure if its an option. The full english had bacon that was some of the saltiest I have ever encountered & the sausage was not particularly good quality. The diner was not very warm, but appeared clean. Would we return probably not as more expensive than Wetherspoons who do a fantastic breakfast for less money.Would have been happy if ingredients had been better quality/ standard.

I Always come here whether it's for a quick Latte or one of there gorgeous lunch/dinners. The staff are friendly and the diner is always clean and tidy. Just love there cheese ham and mushroom omelettes. Would never go anywhere else now x

Just ate the most delicious and healthy breakfast. I see thy also do delicious looking lunches. Will definitely bring the teenagers here too cos there is something for the hamburger lover and loads for the vegan. All of us can eat well at a decent price. Will come back again frequently!

So nice to fund somewhere in Gravesend that does Eggs Royale and a Halloumi grill. Beautiful food well cooked. The iced mochas are awesome too! We will be back!

Nice clean restaurant, amazing food. My family and I have eaten here for years. Would highly recommend. The staff are lovely and always chat to customers.

My sister, my nephew and I regularly visit here when we meet our mum on her lunch break, I would highly recommend it! The staff are always really friendly and welcoming. The menu was great anyway but they've recently been revamping it with some delicious additions, I'm vegetarian and I'm spoilt for choice! They also have vegan meals too! I love following them on Instagram and seeing what their latest creations are :)

Cheese and bacon panini with vanilla latte ...absolutely lovely and very friendly helpful staff. More Importantly for me personally is it's disabled friendly. Wide isles and helpful staff.

Nice clean place, comprehensive varied menu to suit all. The Lasagna was a little dry but tasty nonetheless. Plenty of seating with nice views out over st George’s church. Nothing spectacular but good value for money and the staff were very pleasant. We would go back again as we have no complaints here.

we have been coming to this diner for 8 years or more we also have a wheelchair user and there is always room to put the chair in. The staff are always happy to help if there is a problem, the food is always well cooked and plenty of it, the staff are very chatty and happy to talk to you if they have time,

We found this place by accident after doing the panic room. We went in there because they had a sign outside offering a Vegan Breakfast. The staff were lovely, the Chef was great and the food was excellent. The potions sizes were more than enough to fill you up. The prices were reasonable too. My husband had an English Breakfast, which he really enjoyed. There was no problem swapping out items you don't want either. We would not hesitate in going back there again.

Excellent dining experience. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the service is great and fast. The food is always good, you get value for money and the new breakfasts are amazing. We tried the Smashed Avo and the Eggs Benedict. Both meals were delicious and highly recommend.

I have always eaten at St George’s Diner when I am in town with my kids, often we arrive in a big group - with 5-6 mummies with their children in tow and we are always made to feel welcome and the kiddies eat all their food too! Excellent service and reasonable prices too.

I visit St George’s Diner when I am in the area. This place is always updating its decor & always adding new exquisite meals to their menus, from traditional English to Mediterranean. Their food quality and presentation is always to a high standard and always leaves me looking forward to my next return as there is such a variety of meals to choose from. Their staff are always very helpful too.

i have used this diner on many occasions on my own and with family and have excellent food and service on every visit.

I've been going here since I was little and the food and the service are brilliant. I would recommend this place for children with kids . staff are all ways willing to help.

My friends and I ordered 2 big breakfasts, 1 american special and a chicken salad. Poached eggs were like rubber, maple syrup had a skin on it, pancakes didn't taste right. The big breakfasts were ok, pretty average greasy spoon brekkie. The toilets were horrible, not clean and smelly. There were shopping trolleys, mattresses and god knows what lying in the corridor outside the toilet and a washing machine inside the mens loo.

Had a lovely breakfast - made to perfection with perfectly runny poached eggs. And fantastic service from the friendly staff. Will be back!

All the meals we had were very bland can only imagine must be cheap produce as all looked pretty good on the plate but not enough taste shame as the staff were lovely and very helpful

The friendly & helpful staff, together with good, freshly prepared food - makes this restaurant certainly worth a visit. I've been a 'regular' there since it opened in 1981, & have never had any cause to complain. I normally have a coffee & a cake, but on the occasions where I've had a full meal, I've found the food excellent, fresh & properly cooked & served. Better selection on offer - much more than the usual 'burgers & chips' which are often the only choice in town centre eating places.

Paid almost 9 pound for a breakfast and a drink . It took almost 25 mins to come out even though the cafe wasn't busy . Over cooked eggs very cheap bread and sausages . Won't be eating here again the standard that the cafe is done in its decor doesn't match to the poor quality food .

Nothing special.. you can judge a decent food establishment by the ingredients used. Set Breakfast - Cheap mass produced sausages that look plastic and taste the same with value thin bread used for toast...brown sauce weak and not HP...tinned small portion of mushrooms why?? Bacon pre-cooked.. choice of drink not included in breakfast meal?? Change all this with decent sausages, bread, real mushrooms, decent sauces and freshly cooked bacon and you could be onto a winner as the restaurant seating is comfortable and very clean.

This diner offers everything from a toasted teacake to a full roast dinner. The staff are friendly, nice view of St George's Church and Pocahontas.

The wife and I visit this cafe quite often when in town,the hospitality and management make it a friendly and comfy place, the food is good as well

I regularly use this as my main restaurant of choice as it has such friendly staff and wonderful meals. I have been coming here for a number of years and would only ever use this location for my mid day meals. I occasionally pop in just for a coffee or a tea and the staff make me feel very welcome. It is very clean and tidy and has undergone recently new refurbishment to update the premises. It has a very good outlook over the St Georges Church and grounds.

We popped in for lunch during a shopping visit and found the food and service to be on the lower end of average.

If anyone is visiting Gravesend, I would have to say a must to this restaurant needs to be on the cards for all!....As soon as you walk through the door, you are welcomed by the trendy contemporary decor, space and cleanliness of the restaurant, followed by the well thought out user friendly menu offering a fantastic selection of foods for the whole family...We visited the restaurant on Saturday with our two boys and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We all loved the food, which was freshly prepared and tasted so good (even the boys managed to finish their meals which was a first!). The food was also turned around very quickly, which was an added bonus and the staff were all so lovely and friendly...We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again!

Great choice of freshly cooked food . Plenty of seating and is disability friendly. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and food is served quickly.

.Just had a lovely all day breakfast here while out shopping in Gravesend. The food is great, freshly cooked and very good value for money. considering they were very busy the service was fast and very friendly.

Nipped into town for the last minute Christmas bits and decided to have breakfast first. Restaurant looked clean with plenty of seating. We sat overlooking the green and church. Menu had a good selection of breakfast choices - we went for the £3.50 (egg, bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes & toast) and £3.75 (egg, bacon, sausage (not too herby, thank goodness), toms, mushrooms and toast. All perfectly cooked within good time, piping hot and polished off with a nice cuppa. Think we will be doing that again quite soon!

Been to Gravesend a few times and met a friend here for lunch. What an amazing place. A spacious diner with an excellent choice of cuisine from English to Mediterranean. I had a lovely tuna pasta bake with a side salad. Staff were friendly, service was prompt and plenty of seats so you don't feel rushed. I will definitely revisit when next in Gravesend.

We have been to this restaurant many times and have always had a really nice freshly cooked meal. Sadly today the lasagne wasn't cooked properly, not to its usual standard and it spoilt my lunch, I couldn't eat it. We do not complain in places we eat, but it meant I had little to eat today. Will make me reluctant to return.

staff are friendly and helpful, its clean, and simple good hygine rating, food is cook fresh to order, and always good, i use this several times before and will keep on going back.
