Wonderful coffee shop and restaurant. It is always clean and friendly atmosphere, with lovely coffee and tea. The cakes are yummy and soft - everyone should try the carrot cake (gluten free too!) The coffee is strong but smooth but you can ask for it weaker if you like. Not at all like a ‘charity’ shop of coffee shop - somewhere nice to visit

I went to the cafe whilst shopping with family and had an excellent experience. There was great coffee, and a wide choice of delicious snacks for all ages, my daughter loved the hot chocolate! The cafe was sparkly clean and the staff were all so friendly and helpful, it’s a real gem in the centre of town and we will definitely be coming back again and again.

I came in to get a sandwich and a hot drink as I had recently learnt the cafe existed at the back of the shop. I had my 10 week old daughter with me and after ordering and taking a seat I needed to breastfeed her. As I started to feed her the waitress came over and offered me a glass of water. It was a small gesture but straight away showed that she acknowledged that I was feeding her, that it wasnt going to make her uncomfortable and that she understood what I may need. I felt so incredibly welcomed by her offer and appreciate that for first time mums her approach could be the difference between them feeling comfortable feeding in public or feeling they have to hide away. Just as I was finishing feeding my daughter she bought out a very yummy sandwich with salad and crisps and it didnt disappoint. I will definitely be visiting again, and thank you so much to the waitress for your approach to me feeding my little one.

I chose to go to the St Barnabas cafe as I had not been before & friends had recommended it. I had looked at the offerings in Costa before I went to St Barnabas. Coffee + Cake in Costa £4.80, St Barnabas £4.94. I was shocked at the price - should have stuck with Cost and got my points!! I was told by the assistant that I was supporting the Hospice. Fair enough, I would have preferred a voluntary donation/tip rather than being ripped off. I kept my change! Back to Costa, I think!

We popped in at lunchtime. You choose from the menu then order at the counter. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The toasted paninis we had were delicious and the hot cherry lattice pie with cream was out of this world. Then you have the added bonus of being able to browse the charity shop. We will certainly go there again.

Went into St Barnabas hospice cafe today as we just fancied something light to eat. I had a beef, red onion and horseradish toastie, my Mum had beans on toast. Excellent portion sizes, very fairly priced and very tasty! We shared a sultana scone with jam and cream - delicious! The coffee was also really nice - it’s been brewed especially by Stokes for St Barnabas’ hospice 35th anniversary. The cafe itself is bright, clean, tastefully decorated and the staff were lovely. Had a nice chat and a laugh with the ladies serving. The charity shop is well worth a look round also - and what a fantastic cause. We will definitely visit again. It’s going to be our new “go to” place for lunch when in Spalding.

We are regular visitors to this lovely little “watering hole”” which is always a must when in town. The latte accompanied by some of the superb home made shortbread makes a wonderful morning break. The staff are always cheery and add to the whole experience of your visit.

Breaking a journey south in Spalding to stretch our legs and take on fuel, we spotted this town centre combination charity shop and cafe and decided to give it a try. There were sadly no bargains to be had in the book section but decent tea and coffee were accompanied by a well-filled chicken and bacon mayo sarnie and a tuna panini - not really a panini, more a lightly toasted baguette, but fresh and filling all the same - with nice fresh coleslaw and salad on the side. If you're looking for swift service, it's fair to say that the light lunches leave the kitchen at a leisurely speed but there's a nice relaxed vibe as you take your ease. Why they add to the washing up by serving jacket potato toppings in a side pot - and the same goes for beans on toast - I have no idea but each to his own. The prices are properly cheap, all things considered, and the cakes on display looked well worth investigating but a single-course pit stop was all we needed.

i was impressed with the range and quality of food served. As standard all the cakes are gluten free but that does not detract from the delicious taste. The staff are Barista trained and they serve their own St. Barnabas coffee specially blended with and supplied by Stokes. The service were friendly and efficient. The cafe has a modern feel to it but i felt very comfortable; I did not feel rushed to free up the table at any time. It is suitable for all occasions. Had a little shopping session on the way out - shop is great too.!

We had an excellent afternoon tea (at lunchtime) for four people. We had individual cake stands with six different finger sandwiches, scone and cream, three cakes and a trifle, and a choice of drinks.

Went for a meal only. Not typical pub grub! It was excellent. Pics show paté on sourdough (I think), with blackberries and small onions. The other pic shows pork belly. Very well done and presented.
