This is ideal for a quick snack before seeing a show at the adjoining Woodville Theatre. The service is quick and friendly and reasonably priced.

Boring menu, over priced, very obviously run by the council, strange opening hours, they have a captive audience and know it.

Nit the best quality and not quick service. It's what you would expect outside a theatre expensive for what's on offer also

On my last visit noticed that prices are up and not so competitive with other places... Busy. Can be noisy, so might be difficult to talk.

We went here for lunch one day and was quite surprised at the prices. They stop serving food about 3.30 so if you want anything after that forget it!

The staff are very friendly and helpful but the prices are expensive, especially when Gravesend has a number of coffee shops and restaurants. Coffee and teas reasonable, but bottle water of £1 and cakes seem pricey.

i like this place, has a great atmosphere - wish I could park nearby though as it is in the theatre. Their coffee is good and the cheescake was great

Not enough people serving, not many tables so you had to stand while drinking your coffee, nice tea and coffee though

Well, well, its my fav place to go for a coffee/tea with friends. We found it to be one of cheapest but smart places in Gravesend. me and my friends (who have childrens at school) always meet on regular basic there. Its located at Civic Centre Woodville Hall. If there is performance the cafe is opened for a drink/snack but they dont have a much choice of food, Lots of people working there are coming for a coffee, we seen many times council office workers having meetings with visitors at the table. I dont see why not? The only thing is letting this place down- not enough staff- it seems that there is always one person dealing with order taking money and making drink/food and it can take time, if you are in rush- make sure its empty before you deide to have something to eat/drink - othervise it could be long time to wait. If you are ordering toast tea cake they bring it to your table Its not expensive really prices: Tea cakes – hot or cold, with butter £1.00 Hot buttered toast – white or brown bread, thick or thin sliced £0.40 thick / £0.30 thin Sandwiches – freshly baked white or brown bread with a selection of fillings* £2.10 thick / £1.90 thin Rolls – white, brown, sundried tomato, freshly baked with a selection of fillings* £2.00 large / £1.80 small Paninnis – toasted, with or without cheese, plus a filling of your choice* £2.30 Bagel - Plain, with a filling of your choice* £2.00 Jacket Potato – freshly baked and topped with a filling of your choice* £2.20 Soup – Soup of the day accompanied with a buttered roll £2.00 Sausage roll – Hot or cold £1.25 Cornish Pastie – Hot or cold £1.50 Bacon and cheese puff – Hot or cold £1.25 Salads – Crisp fresh lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion and coleslaw with a topping of your choice* £2.10 Pasta Salad – Pasta quills, crisp salad and a topping of your choice* £2.50 Add a second filling or topping £0.80 * Fillings/toppings include cheese, ham, tuna, chicken bacon & sweetcorn, egg mayonnaise, prawn Strathmore water – still or sparking £1.20 Soft drinks – 500ml £1.20 Fruit Shoot – orange or blackcurrant £1.20 Fresh orange juice – 300ml by the glass £1.20 Hot Drinks Tea (English or fruit ) – large or small £1.00 Tea for two £1.75 Cappuccino £1.70 small/ £1.90 large Americano £1.50 small/ £1.70 large Latte £1.50 small/ £1.80 large Espresso £1.20 single/ £1.50 doppio Mocha £1.90 small/ £2.20 large Macchiato £1.20 Hot Chocolate £1.30 small/ £1.50 large Luxury hot chocolate (large only served with cream) £1.80 Sweets are below 50p each •Toffee Crisp •Wispa •Time out •Minstrels •Kit Kat four finger •Kit Kat chunky •Mars Bar •Twix •Mars Planets •Polo's •Jelly Tot's •Fruit pastilles •Poppets •Rolo •Smarties Tubes Lots of people working there are coming for a coffee, we seen many times council office workers having meetings with visitors at the table. Rob the manager, goes from strength to strength . It seems to improve every time we visit. Due to our friend having a well behaved baby we had reserved a table in the large garden for 5. Never done so before , so did not know about the different rules that apply . No waitress service , order at bar ,fetch your own cutlery ,serviette. Then the menu is totally different from inside . As an an OAP I was oblivious to this . Was a little perturbed but Rob sorted it out getting us a nice table inside, such a professional and huge asset to the owner. Food ordered and in no time arrived well cooked presented and tasty. Quite an admiral achievement when busy and we all had different dishes too. Asking the bar maid whether the Amstel lager was genuine Dutch import ,she said , I don't know , but it tasted ok. Families and parties were welcomed and catered for . Bouncy castle and huge out door tv . our son enjoyed several Euro matches their recently too. Will return as soon as possible , pension permitting . Large car park .

Sunday lunch was dismal, ran out of pork belly and chicken, the carrots tasted of star annis and the roast potatoes were just about the worst that I have had in any pub, they really need to up their game, will not eat here again, a waste of money Bristolfoodcritic

I've been using this place for decades. It's not often i use bakeries, but this is my go to place whenever i get a craving for a crusty ham roll with lettuce and onions, always fresh food, never had any issues on that front. Once or twice in the past I might have and a grumpy server, I've not let that put me off tho, we all have off days. And I've seen other comments moaning about prices. Cost of living I'm afraid, I think we can all agree that prices of pretty much every single thing we consume have shot up in the past couple of years.

A lovely place to meet up with friends. Freshly made sandwiches and coffee. The cakes all looked lovely too. Service was very friendly and quick. Space to sit outside too, if the weather is fine. Would recommend you give it a try.
