firstly the food was absolutely awful, we came at 6 o'clock on a monday and all the pans of food were cold and empty. when they finally got refilled staff would pour new food onto the old food so if you had to eat from the bottom of the pan it had probably been sat there all day. the manager was extremely unhelpful, all policy's were stated and put up on the wall for everyone to see however the manager was quick to lie about them and make new ones up. everyone who tried to enjoy the meal has woken up with food poisoning from the awful standards and hygiene of food. i cannot emphasis enough how much i do not recommend this place!! do not even think about trying to waste your money here, especially as it is non refundable even if you haven't eaten anything!!!

I am going to go straight into why i have rated this buffet very poorly, the food was quite inadequate i take it into consideration it was a very busy night. some examples of the food, extremely dry noodles, very dry chicken including it was (under cooked) PINK!!! the service was very sluggish, again i know the buffet was busy but perhaps more staff could help. The atmosphere was satisfactory. the night was enjoyed apart from the fact the food was not enjoyable. All of the collectives fell sick, including me with SALMONELLA!! i would not recommend it for the price.. The date i attended the buffet was 09/03/25. written complaint 15/03/25.

The seafood is so stale that I feel like vomiting all day long. It’s so disgusting. It’s such an unpalatable experience.

Lovely place to go when you just can't make up your mind what you want. They have everything! Food is well presented and tasty. It's actually one of our favourite places to go

Well I have been coming for years and this place has died. Maybe new owners I don't know. Booked for 8pm and at arrival told closes at 930pm. No issue. What they don't tell you is the stop cooking at 830 and do not replace the food so it's basically the ends of the meals in each pot.many pots emptied and were never replaced. Even food was mildly warm. Spoke with the boss and he didn't care £21.99 For the worst food I ever had. I used to be a big fan but SAVE YOUR MONEY.

What's wrong with you guys? We are paying money for all of this? You guys spoil my day. It was a very special day for my family. How many times I came in spoon? I never counted, but the last three times I felt very disappointed. It's many years now. Stop this bullshit. Every time your lift is not working, it's out of order!!!!!!! I mean, how? take my suggestion, take it out, and put it in bin. Problem solved.. do you know i got surgery, and you guys suggested that I take stairs to go out!!!! And last two time in your asian food corner, that lamb curry was Finnish, yearstaday night i payed £48 pound i had nothing, i take some rice and go to take my favorite lamb curry, your staff said is coming in half an hour, I wait 2 hours but they didn't surve it???? I came with my 1 year old baby, staff gave me a small table, it was very uncomfortable. Many times I told your staff there were many tables that were empty, giving me a little bit of a big table, but who cares!!! Just watching around and seeing staff are very busy to clean door glass and talking there one language and having drink and laughing. gigging, but everyone forgets to clean the toilet. Come on, guys...? I was just laughing myself when my husband said you can cook thousands of better than this food. 10 years of marriage, and he appreciated me like that for the first time. Thank you for nothing. Even you do not deserve one star. Hope never come back to you guys👎👎👎

£20 for the most tasteless food you've ever tried. Chinese was tasteless. Pasta dishes were watery. One star for the pudding as was the only thing with any nice flavour. and how can your cola taste of vinegar? Avoid avoid avoid.

I don't think it's normal that they force you to pay for glasses if you're only going to drink water, nothing else.

Fantastic service and a lovely place to eat

Today with my family come to eat, the soft drink is not very fizzy, I ordered a steak at Teppanyaki and had already told the chef not to overcook the steak, but he still cooked the steak with a burning taste. Very disappointing, No come back anymore.

Avoid at all costs when paying they told us that our payment had declined and we had to do it again they took 2 payments out when questioned all they had to say was you will get it back in 7 working days. Manager was rude and sarcastic about the whole situation. Food is below average very watery steer clear of the coca cola chicken and the sweet and sour chicken both have very strange tastes. Ended up paying over £90 for 2 adults and 2 drinks in the end due to their mistake now awaiting refund on one payment will never return

Decided to try a new buffet restaurant for my husband and I date night last night, at first the food was ok, however she going for anything pork, the pork wasn’t fully cooked, ribs smelt funny, and my drink was made too strong and was in a tiny glass. Had to walk around for 10 minutes to find a singular plate. Music was too loud for background noise also. Will be staying at cosmos for buffet food in the future.

We went to celebrate my son's birthday with my family and we were delighted. It is an hour and a half that you can stay and eat everything you want, for us it was more than enough. This is today our favorite place to celebrate important dates.when you enter You pay £23 per person. The drink is not included. If you want a drink, you pay £3.50 per glass and you drink what you want. That's all. You can go without reservation. previous.

Great variety of dishes and food is tasty.

We love it here, it is what it is, no frills chinese with some nods to other types like Italian, English roast, we stick to Chinese and Japanese, it’s nice, hot, fully topped up (but we do go at 5pm) the children love that they can eat unlimited prawns, sushi and chicken. And the deserts are great. For £22 per adult it’s really good value, they don’t force you to buy drinks and we always enjoy it. The staff are polite.

Loved the food, maybe a little too much. Only complaint I have is that the music is too loud, it just becomes loud background noise, can't actually hear it. Combined with a busy restaurant, it was a bit much.

Our table wasn’t ready when we got there we pre booked over 2 weeks ago, told to get drinks and they would sort it, No plates available anywhere for about 10 minutes everyone waiting for clean plates to be put out, food trays constantly empty, desserts were mostly ( cheesecake , profiteroles) were all still frozen, jelly hadn’t been dissolved properly when making so powder in the middle , very disappointing, has put me off ever coming back

My 60th birthday was spoilt due to poor food quality and lack of service, I will never forget that I had a rubbish meal and evening

First visit, food plenty of choices my favourite was the Indian cuisine, reasonable choice of sweets for afters, good value for money, we dined early evening on a Tuesday so not that busy so difficult to judge atmosphere most groups seemed to be enjoying themselves so I expect at weekends it’s crammed definitely will be back

We ate many times there and every time everything was spotless, but tonight something didn't quite work in some areas. The grilled prawn and scallop were well undercooked, the battered wings were soaked in oil and pancakes were chewy.

It's pretty poor in spoons, Food was hot but poor quality and had been sat for a very long time. Chicken tasted funky and I didn't trust it, will absolutely not visit again I'd rather go to Cosmo in Southampton.

Food was awful most was stone cold and rock hard. The staff were miserable and grumpy. My friend and her dad have ended with food poisoning.

This place is one of my favourites. The food is divine, from Chinese, Indian, seafood and so much more and all you can eat. The atmosphere is lovely and well laid out. Looks posh almost. Clean, tidy and great service.

There is a lot of different food, but the quality is lacking - often just cold and stale. For instance I had some steamed rice and it was undercooked. There was a lack of flavour and a lot of the chicken was just dry inside.

So me and partner thought we would pop in spoons world buffet & bar which is in cascades we paid for 2 of us and had daughter(disabled & special needs)with us. We went upstairs to be told their policy is that if you don’t pay for someone then they can’t not come into the restaurant. We don’t pay for our daughter as she doesn’t eat any of the food because she is puree fed (also had her lunch before) we explained that she would not be eatting there food because she can not physically eat it because she can not eat lumps. They asked if we had eaten there before with her and yes we have she did not eat then either. They said for this time only we could go in but next time she isn’t allowed in if we don’t pay for her. So asked for a refund and left. I’m so shocked by this it’s never happened before. I already feel bad taking her to places she can not eat and the us eatting in front of her. So any families with children/adults who can not eat you won’t be allowed in. Unless you pay for them. Disgusting!

The food was extremely stale and awful, none of it was hot and it looked colorful but also looked really unhealthy, very few options for food although there were many other stalls that were closed, had to speak to the manager as the food was disgusting and was also empty although we arrived at around 8:15, so we couldn't really eat anything apart from the old sogy food. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!! (also not a world buffet.)

Arrived at this place on a works do for Xmas and it states on there website open till 11pm on the Website. We then get told by a guy that we had to hurry up and eat as they where closing at 9pm when we ask why 9pm when it states 11pm he said its wrong so we asked for half of our money back and got told no. Spoons you need to sort your website out please as our night was ruined thanks WE WONT BE COMING BACK

This is one of those all you can eat affairs with food from all over the world. The cuisine covered literally all corners. My only complaint would be that some of the dishes were very dry probably from being in the heated dishes for too long. Also drinks were not table service which some of the other all you can eat places do.

Waste of overpriced money at £21 per person. A lot of the dishes were cold. The carvery did not really exist apart from dried up looking meat one veg & baby new potatoes! We will not go back!

Went for lunch yesterday at around 1:30pm, and the service was absolutely terrible. The prices were extortionate, not to mention we had a newborn baby with us, and they didn’t tell us that they didn’t have any lifts for the pram, until after we paid so had to carry up 3 flights of stairs. Not to mention the food was disgraceful. All of the meats were overcooked and hard, and all the dishes tasted horrible. Felt sick after we had eaten and the toilets were disgusting, will not be returning here again.

Absolutely stupid place, 2x 11 year old wanted adult prices as they were taller than the rule. A child is a child not an adult, think you need to sort this out

Most unedible food I’ve ever witnessed. Arrived with a new born baby and pram. Was refused blue light card as apparently don’t accept on Saturdays but this was not stated at all on the signs. Payed over £80 for 4 adults to then be told after paying that there lift is broken and made to carry a baby and pram up 3 sets of stairs. Wouldn’t have payed and found somewhere else if we knew this. Sat down at a dirty table with hardly enough room to move. All food was cold, meat was raw or black and chewy. Saw staff pour fresh food over cold old food. Meaning if you got to the bottom of the tin this food could’ve been sat out all day. Everyone left there food because of how vile it tasted. Bathrooms all dirty and smelly. When told to staff all they said was “sorry about that”

Nothing was hot or that nice and all been sick after eating there!

It’s amazing how downhill this place has gone. Especially after the price increases. This is the second time I’ve come away and ended up getting food poisoning. The staff are friendly and are always patrolling waiting to clear your used plates, but the food is simply insulting. Although there is a good selection and “something for everyone”, the food is never hot. Even if put out fresh. The food is just watered down reheated rubbish. On top of that, parents allow misbehaving children to run amuck causing mess and a mixture of dishes in one serving holder due to the kids doing it themselves. The staff don’t seem to care about this. I think there needs to be constant observation of the serving area and the management need to have a long hard look at themselves over the quality and safety of their food. We will not be visiting again and I strongly encourage anyone who was thinking about this place to go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

For an all you can eat buffet style restaurant spoon world rates highly. The price is very reasonable and the selection of dishes are plentiful and flavoursome. The only negative I would say is some dishes were a little cold but considering this is a buffet restaurant this in my opinion is to be expected Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again

It's ok The staff were ok. Food was ok. There's a big variety when it comes to the food, all sorts to please everyone really.. I'd be careful of cross contamination though if you have any allergies or intolerance. It's a lovely setting but the food itself is mediocre at best. I dont think we would return to be honest but I do see why people go as it's a relaxed atmosphere and good for families.

Website says open until 11. Arrived at 9 and most of food was cleared away. No offer of discount. Felt rushed and staff staring at us to hurry up and leave. Money already taken. Barely any veggie options. Do not arrive later than 6 is my advice

Avoid the food it's absolutely terrible, Almost every Chinese meat dish was spicy only 3 dishes was sweet but very watery, my daughter wanted a roast dinner it was bloody shit just bits of pork floating about in some watery gravy cold carrots and tiny new potatoes that was supposed to be roast potatoes tossed around in a frying pan, The sushi has also gone down hill no more fresh prawns and salmon it's all chopped up veg with a bit of purried tuna. THE MANGER DIDN'T GIVE A DAM

Lovely place, very clean. The food was good. It's not very hot, though. Tepanyaki wasn't working, which was a shame. We got there around 8, and lots of things were finished and not replaced as they closed at 10. Fair price. Nice staff. If in Portsmouth again, I would definitely return.

Complete waste of money! Very DISAPPOINTING! The food was horrible and I didn’t eat anything except the profiteroles, that I decided just to leave. I called them twice before going. One staff member was rude and the other was helpful The place was clean to be honest.. but I don’t think I will go there again.

We booked a table for 4 at 19:30 at portsmouth spoon as a birthday meal. On arrival we paid our £83.96 and were sent upstairs. Once seated we toured the food hall and found that all the dishes were empty, we sat expecting to see them refilled soon but they were not. We asked one of the staff who informed us that they would not be refilled as the kitchen was now shut. The manager confirmed that the kitchen shut at 19:15 and no more food was cooked even though the resteraunt was open until 21:15 with around 40 customers still seated. I feel this amounts to theft as there was no hesitation in taking our money when no food was available unless you wanted puddings. The manager seemed confused that we were upset by this and insisted we should accept a voucher for 2 (we had paid for 4) to come back another time and that no refunds would be given. Why he thought we would come back baffles me and as we left he again tried to give us a voucher which consisted of a scrap of torn paper with "voucher for 2 weekday meals" scribbled on it in pencil. I have attempted to contact the e-mail we were given multiple times but no response. The manager was unprofessional and very rude to us and we shall certainly not return here. I have no hesitation in telling anyone I know that this business operates in this manner and wish zero stars could be given as this is the service we received.

Went here with a group of people and a big chunk of the food we had (which varied drastically) was stale or old, at least tastewise. There were a few things that were decent but nothing felt great, even by the standard of buffets. I imagine they may be lacking enough plates because I swear someone tried to take the plates every few minutes..which while common for buffets...it felt a bit invasive. I still appreciate the service they just need to slow down a bit. The atmosphere was horrible honestly, the music was questionable and loud and every so often they had the worst and loudest Happy Birthday song I've ever heard. It was almost like they wanted us to leave as soon as possible. I found that despite having alergens listed, there was no clear indication on whether something was vegetarian or not. Like for example the spring rolls, generally you'd expect to be vegetarian but without any such indication it is a risk that could cause issues to some people. All in all I wouldn't personally recommend the place to anyone, though it is entirely possible they may have had an off day or something.

Everything was great except that the floor manager at that time named "R" was very sarcastic and unwelcoming, ruining my night. He should not be working there if he does not have enough patient to smile and accomodate customers.

Me and my family came tonight…Party of 12. From the get go it was great. Service from all staff was 10/10 and the food equally as good. A little disappointed that the Tepenyaki grill was down but didn’t really matter in the end. I measured my children before I went so wasn’t nothing to quibble about when we got there. I knew what I was paying. Thank you for a great evening

Always come here with my partner, we love the food and think it’s such great value! £21.99 and you can eat as much as you like, you can’t go wrong! And with £3.50 refillable drinks you never go thirsty, the service is amazing with the waiters being very attentive to watch when you have finished to remove the plate, had a little issue with watery sauce but was dealt with straight away and replaced, definitely wouldnt fault the food the service at all! 10/10 place

After hearing great reviews my partner was desperate to try this place so decided to go here this evening for My partners birthday and was severely disappointed. We looked online before we went and saw the prices for children and adults, on arriving we were told our children were too tall for the child's price because clearly once you grow over 150cm you are an adult! Baring in mind they opened at 5 and we got there at half past the food did not taste fresh. The food was luke warm at best, the lasagne had a thick layer of coagulated sauce on top that I originally tasting I thought was mash, my husband tried the lemon chicken on biting in he quickly realised it was very pink in the middle. Not once were we asked if everything was OK or checked in on not even when leaving. Won't be going here again.

The food is delicious. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is brilliant. The price is affordable for everyone, and it's lovely to have your dinner here. Totally recommend it 👌🏻. My favourite dish was the prawns and the spicy chicken.

Such a great choice of food to always try something different! Also, considering it's a world buffet, I would have expected a bit more variety, sadly there were no baked beans. The waiter always takes your dirty dish and there is always a clean plate to take. Also with the height discount below 150cm, what if a child is really tall? They can't help it.

Daughter is a very fussy eater but loves the thin sizzle steaks from the teppenyaki grill but doesn't eat much else. She had 4 small steaks during our time there but was then told she wasn't allowed any more as you are only supposed to have 1. This is supposed to be an all you can eat buffet and 4 small steaks do not exceed the price paid to dine there. Absolute joke and will take our custom elsewhere in future

Well we decided to pop in there as we had had a great day in Portsmouth. We arrived at 750(closes at 10pm) to be told kitchen was closed and no fresh food would be put out. Not brilliant. Decided to forget it

Literally the worst ‘restaurant’ I have ever been to. Service was shocking from the off, food was just sat drying out under the lights, staff were rude and didn’t understand English. Couldn’t pay me to re attend. The manger get two points having asked at the end how it was & was approachable re feedback.

Spoons world buffet & bar is just... Alright... We reserved a table and ended up waiting 15 mins before sitting down. It's incredibly noisy and there is a large air con unit humm that can't be drowned out The availability of food is incredible however it all just tastes.. ok... There was nothing that stood out or was amazing the quality of the food was just all a bit bland even tho there was so much variety. Massive signs on the doors saying they would not accept parties of 2, and just seems like a massive money grab for the amount you pay for food and drinks that you can drink and eat in your allotted 1.5 hour time frame Best part of the evening was spending time with the people I went with and the fresh crepe station was nice

Be aware that the kitchen stops cooking at 7 pm; so the buffet is not resupplied after that. I.e. it's there till it's gone! We went at 8pm and most of the popular selections were finished. So over-priced and not good value for after 7pm diners.

Reviews for this were not great, but I gave it a try anyway. This was my first visit and last. It's a cattle shed. Usher everyone in and out again. Tables have an hour and 30 minutes time limit, which is short if with a group. The food was under par and overpriced. Drinks are expensive, and everyone is sat close together, which is ok if you don't mind the table next to you listening to what you say. There is no atmosphere there, and it felt like a cattle shed. If you are not there early or have booked, expect to queue.

This is the worst buffet I have ever had & one of the worst customer service experience. The lady at the reception was so rude I asked her about the parking ticket she said can’t you read all the information is on the ticket. She said you know as I have been there plenty of time. Sorry it’s my first time here. Well the food is cheap and cheerful. Food is all cold, some lukewarm & the food was very dry. I only had one plate of food and a dessert and left within 30 minutes. I’d say 80% of the food is frozen & deep fried. Don’t recommend it, not worth the price & shouldn’t have to tolerate rude behaviour.

Verry bad experience where the staff tryed to physically remove a drink from my hand infront of the person I was with and all other people in the restaurant. I had paid for food and purchased a drink and the staff tryed to physically remove the drink from my hand because he hadn't checked his machine. Never before have I been physically attacked in a restaurant over their own mistake. Ruined my and the person I was with meals, we left with no sorry after only having a plate of food in a all you can eat. Never even tryed to rectify this situation. Avoid!

I was very disappointed when I came here around 7pm to find out they had already shut the kitchen when they still had 3 hours left of opening, what was out already was what they had left I’ve never heard of any other buffet doing this. My advice would be go when they open at 5pm not at 7pm

Expect nothing less for a buffet style restaurant. Food is hit and miss, so are the staff. Children are priced based on height, which I feel is ridiculous. Probably won't go back now that my ten year old is over height, she just doesn't warrant full price based on appetite.

We went for a friend's birthday. We had to pay on the door before going up to the food hall, the greetings lady was very miserable. It was nicely decorated. The tables are a little too close to eachother for our liking. We had a family to the back and the front of our "party" so no real privacy. There was loads of seats around but we were all sat super close? Doesn't make sense to me. The food selection was great, the food was super yummy and hot! Only downside was the Prawn crackers and poppadoms were very stale. Drinks are reasonably priced also. Staff constantly taking your plates when you'd finished which was nice. Would go again.

Scam artists literally no food and wasn't cooking anymore and still charged us, was rude after explaining to them. Refused refund for food not eaten. Didn't just happen to us either, happened to friends. They loosing out on recurring business so its their loss, they probably be closed in a year or two.

Man on the front desk was very rude, i said my son wont be eating as he cant swallow and is on a specialised liquid diet, and my 4 year old has already eaten as he is a very fussy eater, he replies abruptly "NOT MY PROBLEM YOU GET A TICKET LIKE A CINEMA"

Let's talk grilled seafood.. new introduction of grilled lobster.. I had the not so pleasurable experience of the grilled lobster and 2 halves of crab.. soooo over cooked all the lobster tasted of was oil... too much oil!!! And the poor tiny bits of crab.. absolute waste of a life.. by the time they were over cooked and flattened to beyond recognition there wasn't even half a teaspoon of meat remaining.. absolute waste of an animals life.. at least make it worth it.. I do not recommend 😐

Good place to go with friends if you want a cheap meal and need to cater for multiple tastes. Indian, Chinese, pizza, and English food is available as a self-service buffet, and all you can eat for 1.5 hours. The food was a bit hit and miss, some dishes were excellent with others (the rice) were undercooked (crunchy). The drinks are also expensive.

Went on Saturday 29th for son’s birthday. Very disappointing experience for first visit. Had we had been told on entry when we paid there was a very very limited selection of food available due to early closure we would have gone somewhere else. We spoke to the very arrogant manager who showed no sympathy or apology. Our table was booked for 8pm the place closed at 9.30pm for what we were told was for cleaning and they don’t like cooking food and wasting it! No discount or refund given. Fake online advertising only food available were a selection of Chinese, two Indian curries, sushi and a few slices of plain pizza. Desserts closed with a couple plates of desserts. We chose this place so we could have a variety. Where is the advertised Kebab, Carvary, Cantonese. Surely this place should be given a penalty/fine for false advertising.

Very poor web said open till 11pm told shutting 930 had no time could only get table for 8pm staff said you need to get desert 9.05pm as they were closing . It 10 min later staff were cleaning up all round trying to get them out

Chicken was raw and when I complained I was told it was actually over cooked not raw (I’ve never seen over cooked chicken pink!!)

STAY AWAY OF TEPPANYAKI, due to the fact that the grill cooks forget to clean the surface between orders, all the seafood have a very bitter taste from the burnt left over previous order. Nuddles war extremely bad flavor and two of them very dry. Most of the meat in general was very dry due to overkook or the reheated. Inside was very hot, need better ventilation.
