If you live above a third floor flat, they will not deliver your food. You pay for delivery for it to be delivered to your front door but the drivers are rude swears at you because it’s your fault that the Lift Isn’t working The worst thing is spoke to the manager she said that you need to give the driver a tip so they will deliver your food I have been going here for years and the new management and delivery drivers does not care about you at all. They care about is taking your money. Going to stop using this place as doesn’t surprise if the drivers spit in your food!!!

The food is of exceptionally high quality.I cannot fault it.Also,amazing value for money .Thank you.

Great place for a takeaway but now £15 minimum for delivery before they add on another £2.50 for the delivery itself so hardly use it now. :-( Edit: Now £4 for delivery and got no sweet and sour sauce with the chicken balls this time. So this will be our last Chinese from here. Shame really as we used to get one every week then about once a month because of delivery cost increases and now fed up with the greedy price increases and poor service 😢

Ordered a number of dishes fo delivery, that included a curry dish that has boiled rice or chips included with the cost. It was delivered without rice or chips, having called and stated the rice wasn’t delivered, the female responded stating she didn’t have a crystal ball and didn’t know what I wanted chips or rice so didn’t deliver either. No offer to provide or refund. Shocking customer service, so after a regular use will go elsewhere

I had a really big order which took a while the poor lady taking the orders was trying to take phone calls and man the desk and pack and do deliveries well done to her she could do with some help poor thing was run ragged

Well, I fancied a Chinese meal but, as I am not from the area, did not know which takeaway to choose - I picked this one. I had crispy shredded chilli beef and a special fried rice (the one without sauce). I could taste the beef and the rice was very tasty. The lady behind the counter appeared quite ferocious at first but she was very kind, and it was probably my fault as I am rather deaf and she spoke very quickly. I was also quite shaky at the time as my husband was in Intensive Care. I would not hesitate to go there again, in fact I am thinking of reasons to visit Portsmouth, which don’t include the hospital 🤣. Thank you for a tasty meal

Despite some off-putting reviews, went there as most of the others were closed on a Tuesday. Have to say, from the moment I walked in the door I was happy. A welcoming greeting, order repeated back perfectly and after a wait of about 15 minutes I was on my way home with our 5 dishes. They were all a generous size and very very tasty. Items ordered were Sweet & Sour King Prawns HK style, Mushroom Foo Yung, Pork Chow Mein & Chicken with Mushrooms. A carton of Sweet & Sour Sauce was also ordered but, to be honest, wasn't needed as there was sufficient sauce already. So good were the portions we have some left for tomorrow, when we will use the carton of sauce. A large packet of Prawn Crackers was included foc. We will return! Cash only if ordering in the shop, which suited me perfectly.

Sadly unhappy with usual excellence of dried spare ribs. Disappointed!

The best Chinese I have ever eaten. Ever. Always good, the only thing I will say is I like a creamy satay and it’s hard to find any that aren’t spicy, so I’d be glad for an update on that one - but everything is so good. Sadly the business does not take card at the counter (only online) but there is a cash point at the co op a few doors down. However, 5 stars for the food and the extra 1 hour opening above the rest.

I order from take away centre all the time and me and my husband loves it there but I ordered on line and waited 2 and half hours for my food after ringing them up no sorry no nothing when it finally arrived I got half a sweet and sour sauce and I had a hair in my food it put me off and could not eat it after being sick not happy at all

Seen some bad reviews and I have to stick up for these guys. I have always ordered on the website and the food is always hot and tasty. The delivery time is pretty accurate too.

Really wanted to use a local takeaway and website looked great so was really looking forward to ordering there for the first time after many years. Unfortunately was very disappointed. Food did not taste authentic and was the worst chinese we've had to be honest. Won't be going back.

First time I used this chinese. The food was lovely,worth the money. Delivery was quicker than said. The only let down was the driver, he was rude and arrogant.

Rough. Has gone downhill. Meat spring rolls had carrot no meat 😂 Everything tastes fake, so salty & greasy. And expensive for what it is. Urgh never again. Get me some broccoli asap!!

Been ordering here for 2 years at least once a week. For the last 3 months we've noticed a dramatic drop in quality. The odd dish has always been turning up cold...our last 2 orders have been terrible. Dry, cold and turned us completely off of this Chinese. It's just like they're under new management who no longer care about the quality of food. Unfortuanely, we would no longer recommend to anybody and have now got to find another takeaway. Tried AGAIN: Now is worse than it has ever been! We collected our order this time. How do you get cold chicken satay skewers and chicken wings but hot chow mein? Pork Chinese style was very dry. Very very disappointing! Lady on phone confirmed it's not new management. Food quality has dropped majorly with all meats being overcooked. Yet prices still seem to rise? To top it all off we didn't receive an item and then was told they could deliver one in 20 minutes? Turns up 35 minutes later. I asked him to deliver it to my bin and he took it with him. We all know they will serve it to someone else! This place needs shutting down🤮

The food was reheated and not very nice. We have had food from here many times so I rang them to tell them and they basically ignored all of my comments.

Well things have changed and not very pleased with meal. Ordered for collection and wasn't even ready had to wait while it was cooked even though we phoned in advance of over 1 1/2 hrs and was made late for our evening with friends. Meals were not very tasty and the beef was very fatty. A shame is this was a good place to eat.

We ordered a takeaway Friday 19/11 - during collection I was told that they only take cash. Went out to a cash point which didn’t work so had to drive further afield. When we returned the queue was long. Our food was lukewarm and the curry, which was the main meal was missing. Flavour and quality mediocre. Never again…I’d rather eat chow mien from a tin! As an apology we were extremely underwhelmed by the generous offer of cardboard crackers! Yay!

Went for a collection tonight 14/11/21, food was awful, greasy, over cooked rice, the effects curry was just a mass of stodge, this used to me a good Chinese when I used to use it a few years ago but not now, I threw my meal away in the end, I'll never use again.

Got the order totally wrong and was very rude when we phoned to see what could be done.(which was nothing) will not be using again 👎👎

We ordered this on Sunday, our usual go to Chinese. After placing an online order the time said 60minutes which we accepted. After an hour and 20minutes I rang and asked where our order was to be told nearly there, 15minutes later rang again to be told the same thing, after another 10minutes my husband rang to be told they’d told me wrong the first time (probably just to get me off the phone) but would be with us soon. It was 2hrs 10 in the end which if I had known would have cooked something at home. Such a shame as food is nice but when expecting something at a certain time and have kids moaning that they are hungry isn’t great service.

I order for collection. It is always ready and cooked to perfection. They ensure we have exactly what we ordered.

Avoid this take away!! My food was delivered late and when it arrived there were differences in the food from what I ordered the chicken sweatand sour was prawn not chicken also all the order was stone cold ! As for the delivery driver he arrived with no MASK or any type of PPE as per COVID 19 protocol when I called the restaurant I was greater by a less then helpfull manager that said thats what you ordered so thats what you get and we can't guarantee the temperature of the food, she refused any type of refund but did send the chicken dish but I had to pay for delivery for 1 item. Less then helpful and the food ended up being microwaved to make it edable safe to say we won't be going back. AVOID !!!

This was probably the worst take away ever. I ordered by phone from the Web menu which was fine. When I arrived at the specified time there were 6 inside when a sign says a max of 3.i waited outside in a queue and could see several orders on the side going cold. I waited in turn and after 20 minutes got served but was only the second person to receive their order but the food was luke warm. When I got home the crispy sea weed tasted like it had been cooked in motor oil, the prawn toast was cooked to oblivion and the salt and pepper chicken was in minute pieces and cooked to the point of being crunchy in places. We want to support local businesses at this difficult time but they need to significantly up their game.

We have been using this Chinese for 40 years! Tonight was the worse one we’ve ever had and both my husband and myself have been ill within an hour of eating this which is worrying. If I still continue to be unwell I will be reporting this Monday.

Ordered at 18:00, didn’t receive our food till 23:00! Horrible service, tried ringing up yesterday to see where our food was and no one would pick up the phone. Tried calling today to see whether anything could be done about this as this is unacceptable, instead the women on the phone spoke disgustingly towards me. Even on New Year’s Eve a five hour wait with no update to know whether your food is actually going to be showing up is disgusting. Will not be using again and unless you want to waste time and not even know if you will receive your food even after them taking your money, I would not use either. ‘Family run business’ that can’t do anything for you! Think of all the families you are taking the piss out of by charging expensive prices for very bad service. Shocking service!

Ordered last night. Contacted by phone. Arranged for cash on delivery. Was told 2 hours. After 3 hours called. Clearly it had been overlooked. Promised it would be cooked straight away and delivered within 45 minutes. Did not arrive until 90 minutes later. I just told the delivery driver to take the food away. Appalling service. £40 worth of food wasted.

Ordered online and nothing turned up after 3hrs. We called but they clearly had taken the phone off of the hook. With no food and having paid we were forced to drive to the shop. "Conveniently" on arriving they said it was being cooked and would be a further 20 mins. All in, it took 4.5 hrs to get our food. To be fair the food was nice, just dont bother ordering online.

Painfully slow wait of 2.5 hrs for the delivery. You're not informed of the wait until the end of your online order. I get that there's a pandemic and there's more people ordering online, but at least be upfront about the delivery times at the beginning.Ended up having to go pick it up ourselves. Given that we're in a pandemic right now, the small waiting unventilated area was rammed, so couldn't really socially distance. They didn't seem to get or care that the order was for my elderly sheltering parents, they're only 8 mins down the road from the place.Quality isn't the same as what it used to be, despite the army working in the kitchen. It just seems cheap and full of sugar.

So Christmas Eve, ordered at 5pm prompt and order accepted for 19.15!!! Over 2 hours notice and was trying to be realistic as knew it would be busy. So very disappointed, over and hour and half late, had to phone and items missing from the £64 we spent. This is the 3rd time we have had items missing, each time about £3-£5 worth, I know times are hard for all, but this place has become greedy, only take orders you can complete, where you can maintain your quality of product and service. Spoilt our Christmas Eve, with lateness of delivery and items missing (rice was needed, sure it’s a staple item to go with your Chinese).Please get yourselves in check and I hope you will at least listen to a valid and loyal customer whose is extremely disappointed at your now greedy customer service. Food ok but like I say disappointed yes at a ruined already difficult Christmas for all.

Appalling delivery service ! Have been going to this Chinese for years. But waiting nearly 4 hours for delivery, and for someone to try and collect to be refused is a joke. Called to complain, to get offered a £5 off my order. Will not be ordering from them anymore.

Absolutely appalling on the delivering service we live a 15 minute drive away from it and it’s taken three hours to get here plus some of are ordered didn’t turn up either! absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend it!

I have only had good experiences of this take-away over many years as a local, consistently good food and always fresh and hot. I order on the phone and then collect, for those of you who have said its a delay, and its never a long wait at all for the very good selection of Chinese food. The take away was as good as ever. I was disappointed with the delivering waiting time of over 2hrs , was not what I'm used to from yourselves . This is the first time I ordered on line and probably my last On many occasions I use the phone or visit the centre and order . The most I have waited for a phone order has been 1 hour and at take away 45mins .Something doesn't make sense . Would you please look into this matter .

Slow service staff not obeying covid issues

We've been ordering from here since we moved here at least once a week. Unfortunately and with a heavy heart have to look elsewhere. Last few times we have noticed a dramatic fall in quality. The quality of the meat has dropped. Last nights meal was the worst we had. Tough meat especially in the shredded deep fried beef. Smoked chicken was so spicy we couldn't eat it. Delivery was fast, within 15 mins. Shame

Going downhill. Food ok but service very abrupt and credit card machine still broken since March. Not good enough especially when cash payments should be avoided. Hope the tax is getting paid...

EVITAR A TODO COSTO no puedo empezar a decirte qué tan malo es este lugar, esperar 2 horas para una entrega de 1 hora, falta la comida en el pedido cuando finalmente llegó, pero faltaban cosas, tardó años en llegar a ellos (supongo que reconocieron mi número ) ¡solo para que se les diga que se mantengan como estaban con un cliente! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! finalmente logré que admitieran lo que faltaba (el resto de la comida se enfrió en ese momento) y les dijeron que las cosas que faltaban estarían aquí en 5 minutos, 15 minutos después y aparecieron y ¿adivinen qué? Todavía no trajo toda la comida que faltaba, así que llamé de vuelta, finalmente dejé de intentar razonar con ellos o sacarles sentido.

Wait 2 hours for delivery, bits of order missing, worst customer service ever and food tastes like leftovers

Replace a very large order on a Saturday night for friends that came round for dinner and placed an order with takeaway food centre we were told that our order would be delivered to us an hour and a half so we placed the order at 19.40 and we made a few phone calls to ask where our order was we understand it’s a busy time on a Saturday but you shouldn’t be taking orders if you cannot fulfil the demand and the delivery didn’t turn up at 22.10 by that time none of my guests were hungry the food was cold and after we spoke to the very rude person on the other end of the phone basically telling us if we didn’t like it we were to go elsewhere I must warn everybody not to use this Chinese takeaway this is the second time and a laugh and will be using this takeaway because every time there’s been an issue I do not expect my food to turn up cold and two and a half hours late poor customer service 😡😡😡

Mi esposa siempre recibe comida china para llevar en este centro de comida, y yo siempre recibo una comida india. Esta semana fue mi turno, y por una vez no elegí un indio, en cambio, tuvimos otra comida para llevar de este increíble centro de comida. Have used this Chinese for years and the service has always been amazing. Then for some reason we were suddenly waiting 1 or 2 hours for food. The orders are frequently wrong. When I queried being overcharged I was just fobbed off. The customer service to very very poor. We are so disappointed and are now looking for a new takeaway restaurant. Very sad.

A real shame. This was my 'go to' takeaway, but it's gone so far downhill we'll not be going again. Saturday's meal was v.poor. if we'd been in a restaurant it would have gone back. When I called them, they clearly weren't interested. They'd already got my money. Sadly I can't recommended any more. There are plenty of other places nearby. Do what I'm doing - try one of them.

Always enjoy a takeaway from this place. Tastes fresh and full of flavour. Got a recommendation from a friend that this was the best in the area and I certainly agree. Reasonably priced too which a bonus.

Just had an awful takeaway today from this establishment. This takeaway establishment used to be decent. But the standards have dropped rapidly in the last few years! Avoid this place if you like food that isn't greasy and dishes that are actually cooked to a good standard! I would recommend The Pearl Of Orient which is situated not far from this establishment. As standards can't get much worse than the current ones being implemented from this takeaway at the moment. Disgusting is the best way to describe the quality of their food!

Had a takeaway from here the other evening. Ordered at 7pm, at 815 we phoned to find out where it was to be told it was on its way. No Chinese by 9. 930 we phoned again to be told it was on its way... again... took over 3 hours for Chinese to arrive but it was hot and food was okay, chips and balls were pretty dry but other than that food was okay

Es muy probable que la comida esté tibia para cuando llegue. Finalmente, llega 1 hora de 50 alimentos, tirados en el umbral de la puerta, el timbre de la puerta y el conductor ya está apresurándose para volver a la unidad. No hace falta decir que la comida estaba fría y también faltaban 2 platos. Llamado de nuevo para saber que no podían hacer nada. . . . que es fundamentalmente incorrecto, así que bajamos a hablar con ellos, cocinamos el plato a pedido y luego reemplazamos los chips ahora fríos con otro paquete tibio de un armario de calentamiento. Use this takeaway regularly but tonight...2 hrs before meal turned up. Called twice and told on the way...clearly not..on arrival food cold sauce in bottom if bag and meat over cooked.very disappointed.

The best Chinese for miles around

Waited an hour and a half for delivery. No warning when first calling. Called to check after an hour to be told it was with a driver and on its way, apologies for the wait but a driver hadn't turned up that night.

Really gone downhill. We used really like the food here and now travel from Wickham to get a takeaway. The last two occasions the food has been lacking and we have been missing parts of our order. Tonight it was shredded chilli beef that was missing. We phoned to tell them. They would not refund over the phone or deliver it to us! Shocking attitude to customer service! Will not be going back now!

Been using this place over 10 years and the food has always been great. Now under a new owner and food last night was awful. Love spicy food and all the stuff I normally love from here is now bland as you like and full of random fruit and veg e.g. Chicken satay you used to get 6 skewers now only four packed out with 10 chunks of tinned pineapple. Shredded chilli chicken now bland, soft no taste and packed out with green beans. HK chicken bland no taste of any spice just sticky, Singapore fried rice with absolutely no kick. Free prawn crackers have also reduced in size by about a 1/3. All portion sizes are well down in size compared to the pervious owner. Will not be returning ever unless the old owner comes back.
