Branch in the Royal West of England Art Gallery, Queen’s Road, Bristol. Summer infusion teas were totally stunning and, unlike most cafes, had no sugar or syrup in them. Peach/Berry was superb and the Earl Grey (tho obviously a bit sour due to its nature) was also v good. (1 other flavour I didn’t try). Staff exceptionally friendly & helpful. Lovely venue (inside the Gallery building) with metal seats (I think it was) & small tables outside. NOTE a year’s Pass is currently £16 to visit exhibitions as much as 1 wants, so only about £5 or less each time.

The general layout of this Cafe is nice. It's a shame that the same can not be said for staff working at the till. The woman who served us was rude, impatient and patronising. She couldn't answer a basic question regarding seating and then when I placed my order, she simply pointed to the menu and looked at me like I was thick. This particular member of staff also rolled her eyes on a number of occasions and then proceeded to huff when she couldn't hear me due to mask-wearing, a perspex and music. Bad attitude and a piss-poor performance all round. Would not recommend.

After waiting a long long time for the breakfast’s that were terrible, our coffee arrived when we have finished eating. And not to mention the cake we ordered with our breakfast that didn’t turn up at all. Service was terrible and the staff don’t care! Won’t be wasting £30 here again. Cheers

I just looooove the food in here. Everything is so flavoursome. Tomatoes infused with thyme, lovely fresh mushrooms, spicy beans to die for. Coffee is very tasty, lovely and friendly staff. My favourite cafe on Gloucester Road

The service is downright poor. Inconsiderate to say the least. Went there with a pregnant lady in the group and they made absolutely no adjustments to the menu. Lady couldn’t have poached eggs and wanted them fried instead but that was too much to ask. I couldn’t swap tomatoes with mushrooms and had to order stuff as extras. It’s just one of those arty modern looking places who are thriving off their reviews online. Save yourself the trouble and try Cosy Club not too far from there - amazing service and food - interiors are epic too.

I believe this place does the best coffee, however, it is a shame that it always seems soulless and lacking any atmosphere! The staff are not at all rude, but then they don't ever appear to interact or say anything more than ''what would you like?'' It's a shame - The staff should be told to lighten up a little bit and converse more, because, after all, it is a coffee house 😎

Popped in for a quick coffee in between meetings and was immediately impressed by the food offer. The vegan cookies were too tempting to resist - and we're glad we gave in to temptation as they were the best we've tasted to date! Coffee was pretty good too - and lovely and hot! Be interested to try some of the savoury lunch dishes as they looked delicious and were reasonably priced.

We had a lovely lunch of sourdough toast with smashed avocado with grilled halloumi accompanied by a really tasty chilli sauce. All beautifully presented but not a huge plate. More than enough with the filling sourdough toast and generous amount of halloumi. We have been several time and this place is not only friendly, it’s trendy while still retaining an air of tranquility. Lol almost forgot they make lovely coffee as well. Never disappoints.

Live locally, so go quite often. Food is simply lovely - really tasty, home-made and probably some of the best on Gloucester Road. Loads of people at laptops at lunchtime sipping one coffee, taking up space where diners are turned away (watched 6 people come in to eat, (I heard them frustrated that noone was sorting out the place) and wander off today as no room for them) whilst 12 sat with laptops open taking up 24 places! No visible management, zero Fred from First Dates!. Staff average at best with poorer than average customer service skills. So: go there for great food, don't expect it to be well organised, don't expect to see anyone in charge, but the food is truly outstanding. Done.

I went with my young son and wife during the run up to Christmas where I had booked a week off work to get my Christmas shopping done. It was a good day out overall, but sadly my attempt at some respite in this Costa was thwarted by one abhorrently rude member of staff. It started when I ordered our drinks at the till. Mine and my wife's drinks were fine, but when I asked about the free 'babycchino' for my son, the woman on the till- Anna- told me they had run out of the small cups for the kids drinks and that they'd have to charge us for a whole regular size cup of milk if we wanted one! After stating the obvious that Anna could simply put a small amount of milk in a regular cup, she huffed, poured out the drinks and abruptly handed me the tray. When we sat down, the tables were messy and sticky. Granted it was busy and the run up to Christmas, but basic hygiene is not a duty that should be shirked. After finishing I needed to use the restroom, so I went to the right of the tills and queued for use of the loo. When I got in there I could hardly breathe. The smell was awful. I went straight out to the tills and spoke to Anna again to tell her that the their toilets needed attention. I got the same huffy attitude from Anna who told me that they were nothing to do with her as the toilets were managed by Primark. She didn't even contact her Primark colleagues or a manager to let them know that someone had smeared excrement on the floor in there. Truly a shocking experience.
