…..I would have liked more chicken tikka in my Rashun dish. Since our last review, which we were disappointed with the portion size, we ordered the same meal, utilising an eats site money off, amazingly the cost had not risen in over 18 months! This is unlike everything else that is price growing! So for the price and the taste, we’ve given it a 4 star this time.

Trying somewhere different, Spice Delight is situated on the far corner of Gilbert Street, which is just off the main Western Approach Road. Their menu has all the usual favourites and a number of different specials. The prices are incredibly inexpensive but this is reflected in the portion size. Rice's come in large cartons and are more than sufficient. The mains however, could be larger, even if it means adding a couple of quid to the price. My wife had the Sylhet Mixed Special; a bargain at £6 and the portion size was adequate. I had the Chicken Staff Curry, which was supposed to be chicken off the bone, with vegetables and Madras hot. I struggled to find the three pieces of chicken and the curry was fairly mild, though tasty. I would have preferred five or six pieces of chicken, even if it meant paying a bit extra. Overall, it is good, tasty food at extremely reasonable prices.

Delivery was late, the rice container wasn’t full as we normally get from other takeaways as a standard. The chip carton however had been crammed in so came out all broken and a bit mushed up. Overall just didn’t seem to be as much as we get elsewhere (from leftovers point of view). Prices keen though and the food tasted great.

Quite disappointed! Tikka pakora wasn't cooked through, tikka masala was very tough barely chewable! Waste of money!

My husband went to order our usual takeaway tonight to find their card machine was not working. A trip home to get cash then return to shop for curry. We have always been very satisfied with the quality of food before but not tonight. The mushroom pilau was cold, slimy and inedible and put straight in the bin. The curry luke warm. Because my husband had already made two trips for the meal we did not return it. We will not be using them again.

I recently visited Eastern Touch in East Boldon with two friends, and we had an incredible experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were so friendly and attentive—they made us feel right at home. I had an excellent vegetarian meal with plenty of delicious options to choose from, while my friends, who eat meat, were equally impressed with their dishes. We went on a Sunday and tried the set menu, which was fantastic value for money. Every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was super quick, and the overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming. Eastern Touch is a wonderful local gem, and it’s so rewarding to support such a fantastic business right in the community. Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back soon.
